 And when the camp was at the bonfire, she always was in the lake, he obviously never talked to her! but there was something more in her that make him so attracted to her, she wasn’t claimed yet, maybe she was an athena daughter, or an aphrodite child tho, maybe a demeter daughter, she was still in hermes cabin, I was thinking while zooming out in her direction, until Annabeth wake me up from my delusions.

‘’Hey, seaweed brain! Why are you looking at her? that’s creepy..’’ she says, almost laughing at him, she was reading a new book that chiron translated to her, but when percy stopped yapping about how bored he was, she caught him.

Looking at the most recent camper y/n l/n, a very sweet girl, very kind with the kids and a very energetic demigod, she was sitting by the side of the lake, on a towel, the shadow of the trees heading at the lake covering her almost completely, reading and talking to the girls and boys who pass by her side.

‘’mmh? What are you saying annie? didn’t hear you..’’ he says, automatically, he can’t stop his curiosity to show up in every moment, or in every moment he sees her, almost like magic.

‘’we should step on the water, and..y’know.. swim i’am burning here N/n’’ he spoke, groaning, trying to catch ‘’his girl’’ attention, but she frowned, 

‘’why? the water probably is warm and we are gonna burn, sun causes cancer perce, did you bring sunscreen?’’

 she put her book down, looking at him while sitting and grabbing something from his backpack.

percy was looking at her while she was swimming and heading her back at him, she summergerd and take a pair of seconds to come back to the surface,and, in above his lover’s head, appear a trident, upside down, with a seashell crown, illuminated by a slightly bluish light.

he was speechless, then she saw it, and looked up, she gasped in surprise and horror, as a deep voice talked, Chiron, repeating.

‘’welcome to the camp, Y/n L/n, daughter of Amphitrite, goddess of the sea, consort of poseidon’’

he looked at her, he was more shocked than her, but she was having s lot of emotions, she laughed, the she cried, and at the end she was angry, she was hitting the water, and murmuring between her teeth, but she started stomping out of the water, all angry.

‘’h-hey, wait f’me y/n!’’ he start walking of the water, but she didn’t run away, she sat on the towel as she looked at the water, slowly moving with the air.

‘’are you okay? how’d you feel?’’ 

‘’i feel like a dam truck ran me over’’

he smiled and sat by her side, trying to comfort her, he hugged her all wet.

‘’why you feel like that mmhh? i know, it’s hard when you first find out, but believe me, is not that bad’’ 

but she sighed, and lean over his shoulder.

‘’i don’t..know, it feels odd…maybe that’s why the ocean call me, or whatever she did..’’

‘’what are you- she call, you?’’

He laughed, and kissed her temple. He felt like he could do it, well her mother and his father were married..so..eh better not think of it.

but she laughed, but she came back to her sad expression.

‘’but amphitrite is a minor goddess, she doesn’t have a cabin, where the heck i'm sleeping at?’’

‘’Well, your mother and my father are married, both god and goddess from the sea, so we are like, half siblings or we’re married-?’’

she hitted his arm, laughing and blushing.

she says as she stands up, grabbing her tote bag and the towel, heading back to the camp.

he attempts to dial you, line going dead when you didn't pick up on the first ring. he glances at the bedside clock, the neon green numbers flashing a 11.28pm back at him. it wasn't that late yet.

you were probably awake...right?

a minute later, haechan's phone buzzed: an incoming call from you. his eyes widened in surprise as his hands loses all control, the phone jolting out of his grasp from the sudden vibration. reaching out to grab the fallen device, he hurriedly accepts the call.

"you're still awake??" he puts the phone on speaker next to his ear, waiting for your response. a second of static later and he hears your voice, soft and laced with sleep, "haech, you're crazy..."

"hey...i just missed you. a lot." a short string of laughter leaves his lips. he just saw you a few hours ago when you had him over yours for dinner, but he craved your presence again.

it was so interesting, the way he thinks of you so often like it was breathing to him.

another moment of silence, "...the lights in my room are off. it hurts my eyes to be texting. that's why i decided to call." you mumbled and haechan hears the sound of bedsheets rustling. your muffled yawn came through his speakers and he sheepishly laughs, "sorry, is this a bad time to call you?"

he hugs a nearby plushie you gifted him close to his chest, heart warming when you hummed, "my dude, you really texted me all that...saying you're gonna die without me or something..."

he tried and failed to hide his growing smile. he likes you too much.

"my dude?? hey treat me with some respect, i'm your boyfriend alright..." haechan doesn't have the heart to tease you too much, chuckling at your use of "my dude" romantically. you scoffed, "okay boyfie. what's keeping you up, hmm?"

the corners of his lips immediately turned upwards at the sound of his favorite nickname. he rolled over to his stomach, legs idly kicking behind him, "well...i just saw you a few hours ago but i miss you. that's literally all. can't a man miss their lover? i wanna talk to you too."

"you can...it's just...haech, i can't think...so sleepy..." you let loose another yawn and haechan rolls his eyes even though he knows you can't see him do that, "i know, i know, you sleepyhead. feels a bit weird since i wanted to hear your voice but now i'm doing all the talking and you're the one hearing mine. isn't it?" he paused.

"...h-huh..." you blearily replied, causing haechan to endearingly giggle at your tired self. "so cute...should i be kind and end the call?" he asked, certain that you were already almost reaching la-la-land. when you first had a sleepover at his place, he swoons at how you clung to his side making him all protective of you.

you made a huffing sound and he pictures you tucking the blanket higher up your body, comfortably hidden by that fluffy grey duffle he gifted you as a gag gift in summer. now that the weather is colder, haechan realizes that he's known you for quite a while.

he then recalls every single detail about you he memorized over time, the way your face contorts with humor at his antics to the moments where you allowed yourself to receive his odd ministrations of love and even when you reciprocated them with your own subtle actions.

he was in love with you as much as you were in love with him. a wave of emptiness and sentiment hit him and he whispers into the phone, "i love you."

he repeats it one more time: an affirmation, a promise, "i really love you."

haechan clapped a hand over his mouth when he discerns your snoring through the phone. in his fashion, he ended the call with a kiss (also knowing you probably didn't hear that), before curling up on his side.

“Mr. Morgan!” Grimshaw called out to the man who was readying to leave camp for the nearby town for some time for himself. The tall man turned his head, giving her his full attention. He raised a brow, looking at her before she shoved some money into his face.

“There’s a new bakery in the town you’re going to, could you kindly get me one? Don’t care which, I just wanna try, also get one for yourself too Mr. Morgan!” The woman quickly spoke before hurrying off.

Arthur sighed, shaking his head with a smile. “C’mon then girl, let’s get this outta the way.” Arthur mounted on top of his beautiful mare before snapping the reins, trotting out of camp and into the heart of town.

The soft smell of freshly baked bread warmed your shop as you carefully made your way to a counter to place the hot tray down. You smiled proudly at the batch, tossing the rag that helped you hold it to the side before you let the bread sit, grabbing another tray that had been resting and carefully began to set it out. These were glazed in a fine dark chocolate, some with crushed almonds on top.

It has only been a few weeks since your grand opening, but business has been over the roof. It was only you who ran the shop, recipes were made by you, service was you, the baker was also you. But you handled it well, it was a small shop and you alone could run it easily.

Just then, the small ringing of your bell sounded through the small bakery, causing you to stand up straighter with a welcoming smile. You saw a rugged looking cowboy with a grouchy expression before he looked up to meet your eyes, his face softening and you could’ve sworn he took your breath away.

You definitely have not seen him before, but you had no reason to turn him away either. He was shorter than you by a couple inches, smaller too. He interrupted your thoughts when he walked up to you, looking at your pastries, his face thinking hard.

“Anything in particular that fancies you? Chocolate? Caramel?” You asked sweetly, placing down the tray to help the confused guy. The man tilted his head, pointing at the chocolate covered one that you were about to put out. “Can I have that one? If it won’t be too much of a hassle.” The man spoke softly, was he shy? This grizzled man being shy, talking to you?

You nodded with a smile, grabbing a small brown paper bag to put it in, “Anything else today sir?” You asked, turning to him once more. His face became rosy when he looked at your face again. “You don’t happen to have anything sweet? Sugary but not exactly chocolate?” He asked, watching you smile.

“Course I do! I’ve been trying out this new berry recipe but I haven’t got it to my liking yet, do you mind being the first person to try it out then Mr…?” You trailed off, looking at him. “Morgan, Arthur Morgan.” He replied, smiling, oh god his smile, the way it compliments his face so much and how it brightens up the room. It was adorable.

“And I surely don’t mind” Arthur chuckled, you quickly nodded, running out back to decorate the pastry before hurrying back out to see Arthur still standing there, patiently waiting for you.

You bagged the food up before turning to Arthur. “Don’t worry about paying for it, it’ll be on me!” You smiled at the man who shook his head. “No no! I’ll pay for it” Arthur protested, digging around in his satchel for the money Grimshaw gave him, pulling it out.

“I ain’t accepting it Arthur!” You exclaimed with a laugh, denying the money, trying to place the pastries into his hand. “You better!” Arthur huffed.

“Just take it, you can pay the next time you come around, just not today alright?” You offered, looking at Arthur’s rosy face before he sighed, nodding in agreement. “Better stick to it or you lose a future customer!” Arthur warned, hand extending as the other rested on the counter he leaned against.

You chuckled, “I will, you have my word Arthur” You hummed, placing the bag in his hold, your hands brushing against one another, the softness and warmth was so nice but so short lived when he pulled away.

The two of you shared a smile before Arthur turned to walk out but stopped midway, turning back to look at you. “I’ll see you tomorrow alright?” Arthur hummed, you nodded with an answer, “Of course, come visit when you have the time, I’ll have more for you to try out!”

Arthur smiled, tilting his hat before he walked out, leaving you alone with a warm bubbly feeling in your chest.

Arthur usually came to visit your shop every few days to buy a bunch of baked goods and to try out any new masterpiece you baked out back. Course you two grew feelings for each other. It began out with long conversations to longer lingering touches, compliments till he asked you to walk with him sometimes, a stroll around town, sometimes you’d dare to hold hands to keep each other closer for longer.

Then months later he asked you out, invited you to dinner under the stars after you closed up your shop, formally asking you, though it sounded more like pleading, for you to be his boyfriend.

How could you say no to him? He had the softness of silk, the protectiveness of a mother bear, the love of an angel, the understanding of your boundaries. What more could you ask for? Arthur was perfect.

But Arthur never came to visit you this week, saying he was busy and had to do jobs for his family before he could return back into your arms.

Arthur smiled softly, your hold loosening, putting your boyfriend down with a happy sigh before he spoke.
