Its midnight, you're alone, you’re bored, you're waiting. you wait with kkami and hyunjins favorite blanket. All you can think about is sleep but not seeing hyunjins cute face all day makes you wait. He's probably being a perfectionist, dancing till he's basically dragged out of the practice room. Although you weren't too sure, he could be on his way home right now.
as 12:30 rolls around you decide to text him.
jinnieeeee
where r u :p
While you reread the message, your eyelids grow heavy, and sleep starts to win the battle. You lie there, pondering how long he’s going to take to get home because the sooner he arrives, the sooner you can sleep.
An hour passes, and you check your phone.
delivered.
He hasn’t opened the message yet, but his phone is probably dead, right?
Eventually, you surrender to sleep, curling up on the couch with Kkami on your lap and your phone unplugged.
—
The sound of keys clanking outside the door jolts you awake. The doorknob turns, and Hyunjin stumbles in, looking like a sweaty mess. He takes off his shoes and drops his bag, resembling a zombie in his exhaustion.
Hyunjin looks at you, clearly hurt. “Baby, what do you mean I’m smelly? Me, your beautiful, hot, sexy boyfriend? Smelly? Are you smelling yourself? He sounds both offended and comically dramatic. You’re amazed at how he has so much energy now when just moments ago he was about to crash into the bedroom door. Still, you manage to coax him into the shower.
“Hey, I’ll join you, and we can use that expensive bath bomb Felix gave you,” you suggest softly, gazing into his eyes. Hyunjin nods, and you both head to the bathroom.
“Yeah, we need to get that smelly smell off you. It’s probably there because you weren’t with me today.”
“Hey you, where are you off too at this hour?” you ask with a hint of amusement at his disheveled state.
“Sleep,” he mumbles.
“No, baby. Not yet. You need to shower; you’re all smelly,” you reply.
Hyunjin looks at you, clearly hurt. “Baby, what do you mean I’m smelly? Me, your beautiful, hot, sexy boyfriend? Smelly? Are you smelling yourself?” He sounds both offended and comically dramatic. You’re amazed at how he has so much energy now when just moments ago he was about to crash into the bedroom door. Still, you manage to coax him into the shower.
“Hey, ill even join you and we can use that expensive bath bomb felix gave you” you suggest softly, gazing into his eyes. Hyunjin nods, and you both head to the bathroom.
“Yeah, we need to get that smelly smell off you. It’s probably there because you weren’t with me today.”
The bathtub is warm and filled with so much love, he gives you a massage, you give him sweet kisses, and you both smell like vanilla and roasted almonds. you help him dry his hair while he drains the water, he brushes your hair while you brush your teeth. Both of you just taking care of each other in comfortable silence.
“tired hm?”
He just nods. You smile and kiss his cheek.
Once Hyunjin is nestled in your bed, where he and Kkami like to hog the space, you hand him a glass of water and a book. He drinks half and insists you finish the rest.
“You can’t go to sleep dehydrated, baby. It’s not good for you,” he says, whining a bit.
You drink it, pull the cozy comforter over both of you, and light the candle, leaving only a night light on. Hyunjin plays with your hair as he begins to read aloud, lulling both of you toward sleep.
You watch as Hyunjin’s eyes start to flutter shut. You set the book on the nightstand, and he turns off the lights. He pulls you close, almost like a koala, and wraps his arms around you. You run your fingers through his damp hair, and he smiles contentedly.
“How bad was practice today?” you whisper.
“Awful. Chan was in a mood, Minho kept snapping at Han, and Han snapped back. The tension was unbearable and made for a very unproductive day, which led to a semi-productive night alone in the studio.”
“I’m sorry. I know I can’t do much, but I’m sorry you had to deal with that.”
“It’s okay. I knew I had you waiting for me at home. But why didn’t you sleep? You didn’t have to wait up.”
“I can’t sleep without you, plus it’s always worth it to see you.”
“Aw, I love you so much.”
“I love you too, Jinnie.”
You push Hyunjin’s hair back and give him a kiss on his forehead, cheek, and finally a light peck on his lips. He pulls you even closer and buries his face in your neck.
“I really don’t know what I’d do without you, Y/N. I love you so much.”
When you don’t respond, he looks up to see you slumped beside him and chuckles softly before drifting off to sleep himself.
“I really don't know what id do without you yn.”
When you're unresponsive, he looks up to check to only see you slumped, he chuckles at that and soon follows you.

Please please keep writing that radio host Andreil fic. It was so amazing already thank you
you demand and i supply lmao (slight nswfish warning? lol its just mentioned in passing yall know my ace ass is no good with that)
here’s p.1
*
Andrew didn’t want to come across as eager, but -
Talking with Neil had felt natural. Too natural. And thrilling. God, Andrew didn’t realise his heart could still go that fast. The idea of the music accidentally being cut and his voice being projected out into the world created a false sense of enthrallment that had his pulse stuttering.
Andrew’s fingers itched for his phone as he drove home the next day. How old was Neil? What did he look like? How’d he find himself hosting a midnight show on a shitty Colombian radio station? He seemed like such an enigma, too big for this awfully tiny place.
The way Andrew was waxing about him was foreign and disturbing. He’d never met this man: He had no clue what he looked like, who he was outside of his work, what kind of morals he had.
Maybe it was the music. Maybe it was just his damned voice.
Either way, Andrew found himself calling the same number, all over again. The phone balanced on his knee as he drove.
“It’s Neil from Mid-Nights, what are your thoughts on the rise in crime in Columbia?”
“Any interesting opinions, as of yet?” Andrew inquired, both genuinely curious (something he wasn’t familiar with) and superficially bored.
“None, as of yet.” The presenter answered.
“Shame.” Andrew drawled.
“I recognise this voice.” Neil answered. “You called me last night, didn’t you? Andrew. I remember.”
“Well done.” Andrew said, letting his tone fall flat. “Would you like an award?”
Neil snorted. “I’d like for callers to remain on topic whilst using up a line, but we can’t all get what we want. We can talk for another two minutes, but it’ll cost you a genuine opinion.”
“Fine.” Andrew grunted. “An ideal government would strive for balanced reputation in order to achieve equitable living standards for its citizens. When everything is balanced, there’s no need for crime.”
“Well - ” Neil coughed. “Theoretically.”
“Theoretically.” Andrew echoed.
“What, was that your thesis?”
“I have a doctorate in communications and criminology, so, pretty much.”
“The hell you doing, driving home at this hour every night with qualifications like that?” Neil asked, almost gentle.
Andrew hated the idea that this stranger pitied him. It made his skin feel too tight, made his body pull taut with tension as his teeth ground together. That was none of Neil’s business, and Andrew thought he should know. “You should get off your fucking high horse, Midnighter. You’re no better than me.” Hanging up was satisfying, but Andrew still felt a little hollow.
He didn’t need random radio presenters reminding him of his shortcomings. He had his family for that.
Neil’s music continued to play softly in the background. Another playlist worthy track. Petty and bitter, Andrew ignored it and shoved his fist into the radio’s controls, turning off the station entirely.
*
Neil leant into the microphone and hoped Andrew could hear his grin.
“To the man who hung up on me last night, fuck you too.” Neil’s voice was too playful to be interpreted as serious. Or so he hoped. “My high-horse had its legs chopped off years ago. I was complimenting you, asshole.”
No one would understand him, but it was alright. He was known for angering people.
Half an hour later, as though Andrew had remained in the driveway listening to the show and deciding whether or not to call up, the phone began to rang. Neil picked it up - too enthusiastically, really - and brought it to his ear.
“It’s Neil from Mid-Nights, how are you?”
“Jack-ass.” Andrew answered. “I don’t need no compliments. Stick to what you’re good at: Being an asshole.”
The dial-tone of being hung-up on (again) made Neil grin.
*
It’d been two weeks. Andrew had run through most of his call credit, seeing as he rarely used it in the first place. The conversations were never longer than a few minutes, but the fragmented moments strung together and formed something so rare, so niche, that Andrew had to wonder at himself: What in fuck’s name did he think he was doing?
“I hope this’ll help wake you all from your long-drive stupors.” Neil’s voice, deceptively sweet, laughed into the microphone. “Nothing like some solid distortion solos to get you feeling alive. Oh, and I’m expecting a call. You know who you are.”
“Asshole.” Andrew grunted, cocking his head to the side as he pulled up at a red light.
Black in Black started blasting from his speakers, unintentionally. Andrew scoffed, squashing down the remnants of his grin, and rolled down the windows.
He didn’t call Neil till the song had faded into something along the lines of Elton John, not wanting to give Neil the satisfaction of being at his beck and call.
Neil paid him back the favour, almost letting the call ring out before snatching up the line on its last breath.
“You’re getting stingy.” Neil complained. “I figured out you get off shift at three. Why the half an hour of time wasted?”
“Making you wait is half the fun.” Andrew rolled his eyes. “Don’t be a creep and go working out my schedule with too little knowledge and too good perceptions. It’s weird.”
“Observations keep me alive and kicking. You like my song choice?”
Neil queued another two songs after Bennie and the Jets so they could talk and Andrew didn’t even mind. He was sure he’d never willingly spent this much time with even his own family.
“You know,” Neil offered, a hint of hesitation in his voice that Andrew’d never heard before. “I could - uh, I could give you my -”
“Spit it out, Josten.”
He could hear Neil’s scowl. “I can’t if you keep interrupting me!” He let out a disgruntled huff. “Well, I just thought - maybe I could give you my personal number.”
Andrew hummed. “For what purpose?”
“To get to know you better.” Neil said, the blunt confidence returning to his voice. “If that was something you’d be interesting. Or am I just a welcomed blip in the routine?”
“Do whatever you want. I couldn’t care less.” Andrew lied.
Neil laughed softly. “Goodnight, Andrew.”
“Night.”
*
Andrew stood outside the staff entrance letting the smoke curl in his mouth before letting it seep out from between his lips. He’d always broken his breaks up into ten-minute chunks to keep up the flow of nicotine. No one usually spoke to him or acknowledged him.
Usually.
Roland, his consistent hook-up over the past six months, leaned against the door to keep it closed. Andrew could appreciate the low-cut sleeveless shirt and the arms folded across the man’s chest. Andrew had left bruises in the shape of his chain necklace when Roland asked him to: He knew Roland wanted something more permanent than what he was willing to give.
“You’ve been distant.” Roland supplied.
Andrew flicked ash in his direction, a warning in and of itself. Roland merely rolled his eyes and dropped his arms, opening his palms as an offer.
That was how it always happened: They had five, ten minutes to spare. There was nothing better to do. Andrew was going through the motions: Going to work, serving drunk fuckwits, smoking in silence, giving Roland head to shut him up, repeat.
When the other man gasped “We should go out to dinner some time,” Andrew pinched the skin of his thigh. Roland’s hand flew out to stabilise himself against the table-top, effectively hitting the small radio player that worked constantly.
He must have knocked the frequencies, because Neil’s pearlescent laughter filled the room and Andrew had never felt more disgusted: In himself, in this, in everything. The visceral hatred for his existence was only a glimmer, a fragmented moment, but it was enough to have him stumbling away, shoving his hands through his hair and digging his fingers into his temples.
“Andrew?” Roland managed.
“I’m going home.” He snapped, shoving his hands into his pockets. He found his phone and his keys, slamming the staff-entrance door behind him.
Sitting in the driver’s seat, he looked at his phone again. Looked at the text from an unknown number that he’d read but not answered.
hey this is neils number.
He swallowed against the cotton wad in his throat and typed out an answer. when do you finish?
neil was quick to respond. four am every morning. aren’t you still on shift?
Andrew rested his forehead against the steering-wheel and tried to ignore the way his heart raced. left early.
Neil took over five minutes to answer. Andrew didn’t want to turn on the radio and hear his voice, so he waited. His patience was rewarded a little while later.
bring me coffee? black, no sugar, no milk. itd be nice to finally see you.
Andrew shoved down the desire to smile instinctively, hating the unfamiliar twitch to his lips. with a coffee order like that, i’d rather run for the hills.
shame. Neil answered. see you soon?
Andrew was a goner, shoving his keys into the ignition as he typed out a hasty reply.
yeah. see you soon.

Day 28
17.08.10
The night was ok. I was just so glad I could have taken a good and cleaning shower.
We also had a free breakfast so yay for that.
The alarm went off at 7:30am and we packed our things. Had breakfast and checked out.
I made myself waffles so yay for that as well.
As we sat at McDonald’s the other day I checked the things we could see on our way to Portland as we let the last National Park behind us (Grand Teton).
I saw that from Idaho Falls to Boise it wouldn’t be that long of a drive. Something around 4,,5h drive.
So we decided to get up at that time, drive to the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preservation. And after having around 6h (we arrived shortly after 10 as it was only a 1,5h drive) and could stay till 4pm bc we told the guy we could Couchsurfing at that we be at his place around 7 and it was a 3h drive from the National Monument to Boise.
Hopefully we can use his washing machine bc we are running very low on that.
But now back to the Craters of the Moon.
What an epic thing we had the luck to pass by and decided to see on our way.
It’s a landscape somewhere out in the wide and open land of Idaho and boy, what a thing to see.
First I have to tell you guys tho that my foot, especially the right one, still causing me real trouble, now as far as keeping me awake at night bc it starts hurting. I really have to check that out when I’m back home.
Anyway, we got to the visitor center and I found a really beautiful book I read and as I finished it had tears in my eyes so I bought it.
Then, we got really lucky and I asked the Ranger there what she would recommend with 6h of time. She told us about the “long” hike from one parking spot to the other and to remember we have to go back then as well to get in the car.
Then she told us about the caves and that we need a permit, if we wanna climb down and explore the inside. I was just thinking p, how much that would coast but all I had to do was answer a question and then we got the stamp and off we went.
The long walk was for Katharina, I stopped at somewhere around making it as far as a quarter of the walk and turned around. I made it as far as the North Crater, I told Katharina I will go back and meet her with the car at the end of that trail.
Now a bit of info about the landscape. Like I said in the middle of open fields there lies a small black and stoney area. The black stone was lava some millions of years ago, and you can see Craters of that volcanic area and walk around.
On my way back to the car I took inspiration and wrote some lyrics to a song I have to find the melody yet. But hey,I wrote something else then this journal.
I made it in nearly the time as Katharina finished the walk to the other parking lot.
I did make the walk to the Big Craters, where Katharina was waiting on me.
And wow, the beauty of a volcanic area guys!
We walked up to the Snow Cone and the Spatter Cone, very unique volcanic buildings. In the first one we even saw snow down there.
As my aching foot wasn’t getting better, I waited in the car as Katharina made a loop trail, bc I really wanted to see those caves.
And, thank Odin, I did that. The so called caves are actually formed by lava, yay who would have guess that at an volcanic area. So the lava on top cooled and in the inner side the still hot one could flowed for miles more, creating these caves and tunnels.
It is so cold down there we saw icicles.
We did two, and it is so dark down there, what an experience, we were so amazed and fascinated by that.
The wind was getting stronger and as it was nearly 4pm we decided to leave this place with the memory of the caves and the pictures of that volcanic area.
Now on a mother update, bc I know you guess are very interested in it.
Before we got to Yellowstone finished book one of the lord of the rings saga and now we are already in book two chapter two nearly finished, we are making progress and time really flies while driving and reading. Another thing with that reading out loud thing, I get better at reading something to someone, the phrases of the book are sometimes very unique and something we both admire and really like as a book written now wouldn’t phrase things like that. And I read something in German again after, idk how long. Really should at least try and read a German book a month just to not forget about my first language.
Anyway, I am rambling today.
We are now nearly at the place we will stay tonight, so, I maybe write the rest of the few hours of today when I am in bed. But for you guys it’s just the next paragraph ;)
So the guy is really nice, we can wash our cloths, and he told us where we can find a restaurants to have dinner at.
We did that, I enjoyed a salat, yummy. And while the cloths are in the dryer we wait till we can go to bed after that is finished. He is out with friends and will be home around midnight.
So till then, lots of love, M

amor vincit omnia
Lee Gikwang pulled the black hood over his saturated form as he saunter in the soft rain, small pellets of water spitting on his hands at the remainder of the drips quench the scattered puddles decorating the asphalt. Through one of the pools of rainwater, the familiar flash of police sirens are brought to his attention. He managed to lift his head up a bit and a grievous memory flashed back into his brain that made his hands balled into fist. It was the worst memory he has yet it is the reason why he keeps moving forward.
He resumed walking down the street and went inside a cozy coffee shop, he looked around for a bit then walked towards a room that says ‘VIP’. He took a deep breath first then turned the knob to open the door. Two men in black Versace hood stood up as soon as the door slid open. He watched them bowing 90 degrees to show respect before he went in and closed the door behind.
The man in undercut hair immediately offers his seat and waited till Gikwang settled on the chair. The two then sat right across him. They no longer waited when they moved aside the coffee mug and placed a long- brown envelope in front of Gikwang. The other one showed a sealed plastic bag with a tiny thread from a cloth in it.
“We’ve already received permissions from the investigation team about pursuing this case. They’ve never asked anything when I showed them the contract that holds the partnership between your clan and the head officers. They also included the results of DNA tests and the manufacturer of the thread we found on the victims’ nails,” he explained.
Gikwang remained silent. He opened the envelope and read the documents inside.
“The forensic doctor also found out that no one matches the other DNA we found in the crime scene,” added the man in undercut hair.
The older guy cleared his throat then shared a look to his partner before opening his mouth. “It pretty seems odd but the evidences pointing out to your suspect. Even the doctors were confused that there’s a faded pattern traced found on the victims wrist watch but they’ve never found any fingerprints on it, it’s completely unrecognizable like a mannequin doll.”
Lee Gikwang leaned back to his chair and took a deep breath. The other two remained quiet and waited for their boss response. He playfully kept tapping his ring finger on the wooden table.
“There’s one more evidence we need to back- up our speculations. Yes, they might consider this but we need an answer for all the questions the upper level might throw against us.”
 The two listens keenly.
“I need the records for the occupants of that building. The records when they time- in and time- out, as well as the plate numbers of all the vehicles in the parking lot during the incident. Then after, send me the documents so that we could proceed on the next investigation, but for now, good job, we’re getting progress.”
They both stood up together then bowed again before they leave the room. Lee Gikwang left staring at the evidences in front of him.
  “Oppa…”
A memory of a specific voice has whispered in his ears for the one last time.
  —  —   —
Anna went out of the convenient store with sandwich and a soda in her hands. Classes just ended few hours ago and she was so happy that all of the professors seems like decided not to throw any home works for the whole upcoming long weekend, however, they have to work their asses off to start reviewing again for the upcoming final exams. Pretty much on the next week will be blood bath battle but she couldn’t care any less since after the hell week, they would be needing to start preparing for job applications before the college end. She haven’t sent out the requirements to apply for the graduation.
She stood next to the glass door outside the convenient store whilst finishing her snacks before going straight home. Today is her work off and she got all the liberty to spend her time alone. She decided that maybe she could try researching for the best companies to apply for.
She was about to finish off her drinks when she needed to move aside when a middle- aged woman walked over to her spot together with a cute little girl around 7 years old wearing this fluff angel wings that’s obviously showing she’s cosplaying an angel. Her shoulder length black curly hair was properly arranged with a halo on top. She’s wearing a white dress paired with white shoes. She’s smiling all the way that the people passing by can’t help but to check her out twice and smile back at her. Anna can’t stop staring at the little girl and the smile on her face was telling how adorable the girl was.
“Yuna c’mon let’s take another picture before we changed your costume,” the mother said. Anna looked at her and turned her eyes back at the little girl anticipating if she would pose for the camera. She seems pretty much tired and annoyed but still was able to show she’s happy on how she looks now.
“C’mon Yuna, this will be quick. After this we will changed now your clothes before going back home. C’mon baby!” the mother said again when the little girl remained still.
Anna smiled watching the aggravated face of the girl then she looked back at the mom then intrudes with their business. “Your daughter is so cute but maybe she feels embarrassed because there are a lot of people around.” The mother shyly smiled back at her then said, “This girl is quite an entertainer, bet she’s just tired. She used to dance and perform in front of a massive audience so I think not,”
“Where’s she cosplaying for?” Anna asked out of curiosity. The liitle girl walked towards her mom and the mother pat her head then removed the halo stuck in her hair.
“For the school competition, she was chosen to be the angel for their class presentation,”
“Bet because she do really looked like an angel, right?”
The mother just laughed and thanked her for complimenting her daughter. “She’s my little angel,”
  “I am your angel…”
Anna froze in silence when a voice rolled over in her ears again. It wasn’t the first time she had this weird memories. She’d heard the voice somewhere out there. Somewhere she can’t remember. A memory of a voice that was trying to remind her the moments she shared with someone. Someone she can’t even still remember.
And a waved of familiar sadness hit her.
She closed her eyes tightly, trying to dig in more information but no matter she do, the voice faded like a fog in the midnight. She opened her eyes.
And there…
An image showed up in front of her eyes.
A clear image of a man smiling back at her.
  “Park  Jimin?”
She was snatched back to reality when someone’s tried to steal her attention through the hands waving in front of her face. She closes her eyes again and when it fluttered open she was surprised to see Lee Gikwang standing almost one foot away from her; wearing black hoodie jacket and a helmet in his right hand. She looked around to find the little girl with her mom but she found them walking across the street already. She realized she was lost in her thoughts once again because of the mysterious voice she heard.
“How long have you been there?” Anna asked.
“Hmmm..just minutes ago, I’m on my way back home when I caught you here,” he answered all smiling.
She just nod her head and said, “I didn’t notice you, sorry.”
“You seem spacing out, I thought you were with the little girl but they just leave before I get closer to you,” he explained.
She stopped for a second then took a deep breath. “It’s just that…” she stopped mid- sentence.
“It’s just that what?” he asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
 “I- I thought—I- saw Park Jimin..”
His eyes widened and his heart feels like it stopped beating. He remained his self calm.
“P- Park Jimin?” then he laughed bitterly trying to hide the apprehension that’s eating him.
“I know! It’s odd right? But I don’t know why. To tell you the truth, I think I’ve been hallucinating for weeks now. I mean I’ve been hearing words like I’ve heard them before but I can’t remember from who and where and when exactly it was. Then now, I just—I just thought I saw Park Jimin. I swear, it’s very out of the blue, I ain’t even thinking about him!”
Cold sweats started to form in his hair line. “Maybe—maybe you just didn’t notice it. Maybe you—you’ve seen pictures of him around the area. You know how BTS was literally all over the place. You can see ads of them even in subways!” he tried to cover it up.
She stared at him. Thinking the possibilities that maybe he was right. But something’s still off and Gikwang noticed that.
“But why do I feel so sad?”
 He went silent.
“Why does every time I heard the voice or getting the feeling I’ve forgot something. . . or someone, why when I’ve seen Park Jimin’s face I felt—I felt so sad?” then she looked up at him anticipating for answers.
Gikwang watched the confusions, sadness, and emptiness in her eyes. He opened his mouth and said, “What if there was a memory in the first place? And you found the key to open it? And there would be painful consequences once you unlocked it, would you risk taking the pain just to remember everything again?”
She was baffled.
“What’d you mean there’s a memory in the first place? Do you know something I didn’t know, Gikwang?”
He immediately denied. “No! N- No of course. I know nothing. I was just thinking for the what if’s, I was just thinking that maybe there’s a reason why you can’t remember anything because it’s what’s the best for you.” She just looked at him puzzled. “You know what Anna? What if you stop worrying yourself? C’mon, it’s just making you anxious. I’ll give you a ride home? It’s getting darker.”
She didn’t rejects and accepted his offer. He led her to the motorcycle parked in the curb near the convenient store. He made sure that she’s safe with the motor helmet he provides.
“Didn’t know you can drive that,” Anna said waiting for him to settle first on the motorcycle.
His smug face looked back at her through the face shield. “Got to tell you more `bout myself if you’re interested.” Anna just laughed and shook her head.  He offers his hand to help her to get in comfortably at the back of him. “Hold on tightly, princess.”
 She frowned.
“What did you just call me?!”
 She heard him laugh.
“Nothing, I said just hold on tightly, you might fling if I sped up.”
Anna just rolled her eyes and didn’t say anything. When Gikwang made sure the kickstand isn’t out he felt her arms clutched tightly against his waist. He smiled secretly when he starts the motorcycle and their body touched with each other. He felt her getting frightened so he sped up more so she would hold at him even more, taking advantage with the moment.
They stopped when the traffic light came red. She opened her face shield to let the air slapped her cheeks. When it goes green again, she holds tightly on his waist and leaned her head against his broad back. Anna took deep breath thinking about all the confusions she have for the past weeks. She just can’t stop letting her mind to over-think about everything. It’s getting weirder every time and she knows to herself she’s getting affected now.
The wind feels like a cool- breathe in her face; it feels like the world was breathing against her cheeks. She closed her eyes to enjoy the feeling, she felt herself smiling but then Park Jimin’s smiling face has returned in her memory again. Her eyes shot open and she felt her heart sank. She can’t understand why his face keeps appearing in her mind, and why does it is making her sad. She removed her left arm around Gikwang’s waist and her hand crawl against her chest. She feels heavy and she don’t know why.
“Hey, put it back in,” Gikwang shouted so she could hear it under the noise around them. She muttered sorry and put her arms around his waist again. She leaned her head back against his shoulders and just tried to empty her mind and let the wind caress her.
He parked in front of the apartment building. She quickly removed the protective gear and get off from the motorcycle. She handed over the helmet to Lee Gikwang who took it whilst smiling widely as he gets off from his motorcycle and took off the helmet from his head too. Anna waited till he stands in front of her.
“Thank you for the awesome ride. It was my first time.”
“No worries. I’m glad you enjoy though it’s your first time and you’re probably so scared. I can feel your rapid heartbeat against my back,” he teases.
Her face turned red. “Please tell me it’s a joke oh my god!” she said laughing.
 “Nope, I won’t tell it unless…”
 She snickers.
“Unless what?” she asked still laughing.
“You would let me date you.”
She went shocked and silent. She can feel she’s running out of words. She flushed with the sudden invitation, or confession? She didn’t know what it is but all she knows was, she lost for words.
“Y- you can’t be serious, right?” she asked trying to suppress the shock in her face.
Lee Gikwang laughed bitterly. “When did you even take me seriously?”
 Her mouth closed.
Gikwang scratch the back of his neck and tried to pull off this cool image but no matter what he do, he just can’t hide that he’s nervous and it feels like his stomach rumbles and in any moment he would puke. It’s his first time getting so cold and sweaty while asking a girl out.
“I- I won’t rush you. Take your time to think about—about my offer. Just try to give it a shot,” he smiled nervously.
She just nods and let out an exhausted breath. “Sure, I’ll ring you once I’ve decided. I’ll—I’ll go inside. Thank you for the ride and keep—keep safe,” she said awkwardly and get inside the building rushing. She bumped with Deby on the lobby who greeted her but she didn’t notice her friend. She just wants to get inside her loft and escape from everything.
Deby caught Gikwang still standing outside the building.
 “Hey!” she greets.
He looks surprise with his eyes opened- widely like he just saw a ghost.
 “Hey…” he answers back.
Deby’s face turned curios with his body language. “You okay? What’s going on? I just bumped into Anna but she doesn’t seem to care about me,” she said laughing.
Gikwang’s face turned pale and his eyes looked around the area as if to avoid her gaze. “I—uhhh.. maybe it’s because i—I just asked her out,” he answered nervously that he had to swallow his own saliva to keep his self calm. He incoherently curse at his self.
“Seriously. . . ?” she asked looking so surprise but still unsure with what is really going on.
“Do you think it was a wrong timing?” he asked.
“No! No! Of course! There’s no right or wrong timing when it comes to love. I mean, I think this is what she needs! You know how she’s acting strange for months so maybe, you could help her!”
Gikwang put his hands on his waist and looked up then let out a long- breath. “I didn’t plan this I swear to god!”
Deby laughed. “Well, seems like she didn’t plan to run away from you just like that,” she jokingly said. “But—but what made you to think to ask her out? I mean… since when do you like my best friend? No offense but I just wanna make sure you’re serious with where you’re getting yourself in. I mean, just cut the shit why do you like Anna? I aint saying she’s not pretty— ”
“She reminded me of autumn,” he cut her off not looking at her.
“She reminded you with a season?” she replied, seeming incredibly confused.
He shakes his head thinking what to say. He stepped back to lean against his motorcycle and put his hands inside his pocket pants.
“Yeah. I mean, she’s beautiful. Sometimes she’s warm, bright and glowing, but other times she’s the coldest person I’ve ever met and I swear to god you could see the ice in her heart through her eyes. Autumn is beautiful, but what people seem to forget about this season is that it’s when everything is dying. It’s actually rather morbid when you think about it.. That’s why she reminded me of Autumn because she was so beautiful but she was dead inside, seems like no emotion, no feeling, no nothing.”
Deby was watching him with no expression in her face.
“Whoah. That was the weirdest shit I’ve ever heard from someone’s getting so in love,”

Kim Taehyung caught Jimin standing whilst staring at the cityscape through his glass window inside his condominium unit. He had never even turned his head to greet his friend. It’s always been like this and poor Taehyung is getting used to it. The reflection of him against the call made him to walk over at his zoning out best friend. They stood side by side while watching the twinkling magnificent light of streets down Seoul. Moon was watching them over the clouds and even the stars silently shining behind the thick clouds.
“Have you ever imagined throwing yourself off from the tallest building?” he asked out of nowhere. He felt the movement of Jimin who looked at him a little bit surprised with his odd question.
“Why? Do you plan killing yourself?” Jimin asked.
He took a deep breath and put his hands inside his pocket pants. Taehyung seems exhausted which was rare. He used to be the fluffball of the group which seems never ever get tired even after their 12- hour practice. “Why people used to answer questions with questions too?”
Jimin shake his head. “Dunnow. What do you think?”
He heard him breathed out an aggravated air through his mouth. Jimin thought he gave up first.
 “Chim. . .”
 Jimin hummed.
“What was your favorite thing about earth?”
Park Jimin thought they seriously have this very weird conversation but he just shrugged it off. Sometimes it’s nice to talk about random things than the usual topic you have every single day.
He chooses to answer by this time.
 “Rains.”
Taehyung tilted his head a bit in that listening posture. “Why rains?” he asked seems so curious.
Jimin’s shoulder lifted  and fell as if he technically doesn’t know the answer yet he still manage to put it into words what his reason by choosing rain.
“I just love the rain. I love how it softens the outlines of things. The world becomes softly blurred, and I feel like I’m melting into it. And sometimes I wonder every time what if I sit in the rain maybe I can drown in something other than my thoughts. How `bout you?”
Kim Taehyung walks over the glass window and leaned his forehead against the wall. He looked down at the moving cars along the highway and put his palms each side his head.
 “The gravity…” he answered mysteriously.
“Gravity, what?” Jimin asked, thick-eyebrows almost met in the middle.
“The gravity and the feeling of falling down. I just thought how magnificent it was to think that we’re all living because of gravity, too. And love is metaphysical gravity.”
Jimin just sniggered at him leaving his best friend and crossed the room to sit down on the couch next to his king- size bed. He closed his eyes then rest his head against the cottony- pillow of his chair.
He feels empty.
Weeks has been relentless yet he hasn’t still used to it. It’s terrible but what else can he do? He wanted to escape or to literally move out from his skin and body, but what can he do? It was just a minor consequences compared to what he have done. He’s broken and that cannot be fixed.
He opened his eyes again. Bravely stretched his arms to get his phone on the top of his side table. He knows what he’ll do next is a complete suicide, but he doesn’t seem to care. He’s longing for her, and all he can do was to retrieve the memories he stored and would try to fill in the emptiness of his miserable soul.
He looked through the pictures and there he found an old photograph of her. It made him smile because it reminded him of them, of what they used to be. But then he cried inside silently because it will never be the same again. He missed her so much it hurts.
 He tried so hard.
To get better.
To get over this.
To forget it all.
And move on.
And he thought he was going to the point where he could say,
“Wow I’m feeling a lot better.”
But right now he couldn’t feel any worse.
“If pictures could kill, you’ve been dead for how many times,” Taehyung said. Jimin looked up at him. He sat comfortably on his best friends’ bed. “Do you think you would last long if you keep still thinking about her?”
Jimin didn’t answer. He put back his phone on the side table.
“Have you ever wonder for the possibilities if she weren’t you daught—  you weren’t biologically related?” He felt awkward with the exact term and he hoped Jimin have never noticed it. He didn’t still say anything. He just stare at the empty space like what he usually do.
“But Chim… I just wonder, if… you are… you are her uhmmm… father? Fuck, it feels weird. Okay.  Let me rephrase it. If you’re genetically related then that should mean she’s a half vampire, right?”
Jimin snapped his head to look at him. Taehyung just stared back at him with his round eyes.
“Do I make sense? I just wonder why she doesn’t seem like a vampire? Like maybe she crave for blood or she can do things like you do or just… just be different because technically speaking she’s different, right?”
Park Jimin suddenly rose from his seat and stormed out of the bedroom without saying a word. Kim Taehyung left alone baffled and confused.
“Wow… what was that? You did well, Kim Taehyung.” He playfully patted his shoulders then.

Anna woke with a slight start, though she had no idea what had startled her. The bedroom was quiet, lamplit. Even as she begun to relax, her mind can’t stop to wander around the place. She couldn’t see the clock, but an inner sense told her it was still before midnight. She looked at the terrace sliding door to check if nobody was there because she strangely had a weird dream that someone’s watching her asleep. She shrugged off the thought and get off from the bed to close the curtain. She thought maybe she was just too tired that she’s starting to hallucinate again.
She crossed the room to go back to her bed when she accidentally knocked off the coat’s track. She yelped with the loud sound which broke the silence of night, she tried to remain herself calm again and just bend down to pick up her coats and to put back the rack next to her study table. Her eyes landed on the white- squared thick tissue cloth which probably fell from one of the coats pocket. She picked it off from the floor and examined it.
Her fingers gently unfold the little thing which attracts her curiosity, then opened it to reveal what was inside. Her lined- eyebrows frowned as her eyes dance over the lines and circles written on it. Her burn- browned eye traced the figures yet she couldn’t get what was the meaning of all those patterns.
With the moon flooding its light through the window, she looked through the beaming rays to decipher it, she can still see more of it, yet her eyes were too hazy to read and understand the scribbles. Anna stresses a sigh and slips the tiny- thick tissue paper between the sheets of her book. She went back to bed and when she lie down, the memory of Lee Gikwang’s sudden confession has flashed back. She tightly closed her eyes to get rid of the thought, then after a few minutes, she dozes off.
  — —  —
Deby opened her umbrella when the clouds moved and Mr. Sun throws heat between the streets. She’s starting to get pacify due to hot and humid day. Anna was standing beside her not even giving a damn about her skin burning by the sun. They’re both waiting for the traffic sign to go green so they could cross the street. Both are heading to their classmate‘s house so they could start reviewing together for the incoming final exam. It was Kiko’s offer (their philosophy subject classmate) to stay in their house whilst her parents are gone for their wedding anniversary vacation in Macau. When people went on vacation, they shed their home skins, thought they could be a new person.
They have decided to grab the opportunity since it would be great to study with someone who could help you about the lessons you can’t even remember.
Anna listens to the noise of different roaring machines of each vehicles passing through the wind. It was a lovely day of dry leaves, cold coffee and brown skin. The warm breeze blew like a warmth breath of a lover and the ground smoking with its scorching- hot fever.
“Hey! Just wanna remind you to clear your scheds tomorrow,” Deby suddenly said while fanning her face with her bare hands.
Anna turned her head to look at her with confused face. “For what?”
Deby rolled her eyes 180 degrees and stopped what she was doing to give her a what- the fuck face. “I tell you not to pretend you didn’t remember we got thing to do tomorrow,”
The expression on Anna’s face has never changed, but just gotten worse, “The fuck not? I can’t remember any plans with you for tomorrow? I swear to god.”
“For pete’s sake, Anna! Tomorrow is the fan signing event and I’ll swear you if you back- out! We luckily got spots over the thousand who wishes to be part of it! I’ve mentioned that before to you, right?”
“I completely disregard it.”
“You know you can’t do that to me. I’ve been waiting for days and I will hate you.”
Anna sighed and crossed her arms against her breast. She just stared at Deby trying to please her with silence.
“Anna, please, I can’t go there without you, and besides you won’t spend any penny, I promise. I’ll take charge! All you have to do is to be with me! You know you’re still my fangirl buddy. I respect that you’re no longer that active fan but please just the sake of your pretty friend who’s kneeling in front of you.”
She scoffed. “You aren’t even kneeling though.”
The best friend dead- glare at her. “Do you really want me to?” She was about to bent down when Anna laughed and stopped her mid- way.
“I was just kidding. You know, as much as I want to go with you, I really can’t. I’ve already promise my head that I’ll take my partner’s job tomorrow. I really need extra income, you know graduation is coming. I really can’t make it,” she explained with her lips pouted upward to show regret and sadness.
The disappointed girl was forced to nod and accept the reason. Well, she couldn’t do anything about it. She wants to be with Anna but she can’t just meddle when it comes to work. She knows how Anna badly needs her job.
“If you could just accept Gikwang then maybe you don’t have to work your asses off,” Deby scowls.
Anna whipped her head with surprise. “What the hell did you just say?! Omg.. do you really think I can leech off him just because I needed money? I ain’t a gold digger.”
“I mean, maybe if you could just give him a chance to prove his self that his worth to be a boyfriend. I’m not saying that you should go and marry him right away so you could be the chaebol’s wife,” Deby explains.
“Wait… by the way, how’d you know about Gikwang’s…?”
“I’ve met him last night outside the apartment and he bluntly told me he confessed to you. Believe me, I was about to get stroke because I just couldn’t believe it. I mean, I always have gut instinct that he has a thing on you but I just can’t accept he would be as honest as that. Slow clap for him. If I were you, I’d go out with him. There’s nothing wrong about it, and besides, I ain’t taking sides here but Anna,” she raised her right hand as a sign of pledge. “Believe me, if you just hear his reasons why he likes you, I bet you’d die for him.”
Anna just roll her eyes and make face. “Stop vexing me. If you’re that amused then I suggest it’s you who should go and date him.”
Her friend slaps her arms and Anna yelped and rubbed the spot. She ignores their falderal talk.
“Just be straight and tell me that up till now you’re still into you ex- boyfriend or whoever he is that made you cry because you were so in love with him.”
Anna stopped and turned her head once again when she heard what she said.
“Do you really think I had a boyfriend? Or I mean, an ex- boyfriend?” she asked.
Deby just shrugged.
“I don’t know. I wasn’t really sure because till now that guy remains a mystery. You’ve never told me his name and besides, you told me that you can’t remember having a boyfriend and you seem not lying. Maybe, it was really just a by- product of my imagination. Or should I say, YOUR imagination.”
Anna didn’t say anything and pull a deep breath. Once again, the weird flash of bits of memories has come back. Those memories when she was at the bus stop. The voice. The blurry face of a man in her dreams. The weird feeling that she was missing something.  And lastly, Park Jimin.
Her mind was about to collapse with all the dubiety so she tightly closed her eyes. She felt her best friends hands wrapped around her arms. When she opened her eyes again, she looked up at the traffic lights count down. It was going down to five seconds. There were still cars passing by so they remained standing.
She looked up at the timer and counted.
  Three. . .
She cut her eyes off the timer and looked straight to ready herself from crossing the highway. The world seems stopped spinning when her eyes landed on the man’s wearing black hood right across her. Her eyes wide- opened. She felt the rush of blood in her veins, and it felt like someone’s crushing her heart.
She was speechless.
  Two. . .
  It was Park Jimin.
Standing right across the highway.
Staring back at her.
  One. . .
A four- wheeler truck has blocked her sight when it passed through the road. She was oddly shaking and she can’t wait till it would go off to. Yet, when all the vehicles has already stopped and the pedestrian’s crossing was clear, she immediately looked back at the same spot where she had seen him.
  Zero.
  But he was already gone.
  —  —  —
A bob- hair cut pale girl opened the door. She enthusiastically greeted them and let them inside the living room. The house was a grey- blur behind a rain- washed window. It was large, certainly, almost intimidatingly. On climbing out, it took more detailed form, natural grey stone with all the hues mother nature can provide. The paintwork on the trim was brilliant white, flawless and the path wound to a double oak front door was loose pea shingle. The windows weren’t the large ones that are so fashionable now, but more the size she used to see in old country cottages, and like them they were mullioned. But that’s where all the old world charm ended, once across the threshold it was technology and modern design way. The floors were polished and the furniture Scandinavian high and designers only. The only compromise to comfort was the sheepskin on the floor, so clean it was hard to believe anyone had ever stepped foot on it.
“Didn’t expect you’re living the life of a royalty, Kiko!” Deby exclaimed in excitement. They both sat down on a long- golden couch with details of threaded flower petals. The home- owner laughed and put down a tray of soda on the glass- table.
“It was my ancestors’ house. This has been standing for four generations,” she explained.
“Wow that was a hell one of a fact.”
Kiko looked at Anna who seems out of this world. She remained silent and didn’t even try to greet her nor looked around silently with her eyes. She seems fixed with something.
“Is she okay?” she asked Deby which quickly nudged her so she was taken aback to reality.
“Yeah? What was it?” she innocently asked. Both of the girls cackled.
“What’s going on with you? You’ve been tight- lipped even before we got here,” Deby noticed. She just shook her head.
“I was just tired. And… it’s so hot outside.”
“Hmm..kay. I’ll get us snack. Make yourself comfortable. It’ll be quick,” Kiko said then leave the two of them
Deby sat down on the carpeted floor and opened her bag. She took out her books one by one, so as to Anna which remained quiet while checking her notebooks and preparing various kind of pens. The latter bent down to sat on the floor also and took her books with her. When she put down the notebooks and books beside her, Deby noticed something fell off from one of her books. She quickly get it under the table and unfolded it.
 “What is this?”
Anna immediately looked at her. “What?”
She showed the thick tissue paper on her. “This. I saw this fell off from one of your books.” Then, she flipped it to take a look again. Anna crawled next to her so she could get a good look with it.
“I… don’t know. I saw that before and that even looks familiar but I can’t remember where I’d get that. Do you know what is it? I can’t understand it. It was just a bunch of lines and circles. I just didn’t throw it away because I thought that might be something important?” she said.
Deby’s eyes narrowed trying to understand it. “Wait, is this binary codes?”
Anna seems surprised and confused. “Yes, it looks like binary codes. That’s zero and one, right?”
“Maybe we can understand this more if we try to check what letters represent each binary digits. But, I don’t memorize the binary codes.”
Kiko suddenly came in with a plate of cupcake and junk foods. She put down the snacks on the table and sat on the couch.
“What are you two doing?’’ she asked.
“Do you memorize binary codes?” Anna asked.
It took her five seconds before she answer. “Hmmm.. maybe? I’m rusting, I ain’t sure if I still know them, why?”
Deby sucked her teeth and told her to join with them on the floor. Kiko took the tissue and tried to read it. “Maybe I need a paper and pen because this was just a whole bunch of letters. I can’t create a word or sentence out of it.”
Anna quickly hand her a notebook and pen. She squat down in front of the table and started writing letters on the paper.
“This letter is I. Then L. Then R. . .” She stopped. Thinking hard what the next letter was. “You know what, I got wifi here but it feels good to answer this without needing them. I’m feeling like I’m in a crime/mystery drama.” Then they all laughed. She was sitting in between of Deby and Anna. “Maybe this was just one of your home works that you can’t remember. Why are we taking shits with this though?”
“I just wanna get what was in it,” Anna answered. Kiko hummed and Deby remained silent waiting for the next letters.
“This is Y. Then H and this one is B.” She stopped again. “This is O and X. Hmmm.. its T and. . . O? Yes, its O. Then. . .” She scratched her head. “Then its T again. . . and I guess its H and E. . .wait. Yeah, its H and E. I’m sure.”
 “That’s TO THE?” Deby asked.
“Yep. I think so. These lines weren’t numbers. They were slashes to divide the letters.”
 The other two girls nodded.
“Okay, this one is P and R, then R again and N. Okay. . . and this is A and. . . Q? I think its Q, this has a little bit smudged already but I think its Q. This is G and E then D and C, K. There.”
Deby immediately get the tissue from her to read and form a word. “Its ILRYHBOXTOTHEPRRNAQGEDCK? What was that?”
“I told you, it was just a bunch of random letters,” Kiko reacts. Anna snatched the tissue and the paper from her and tried to understand it again. She looked closely under the numbers and she noticed that each block of numbers has a significant arrow and another number.
“There’s number under the group of digits. Maybe, it will tell us more,” she said.
Kiko looked at her with funny face. “Wait, are you thinking that we’re Sherlock Holmes and we’re trying to solve a Morse code here?”
“Let me see again,” Deby said and checked it. “Yeah, it really has but. . . what is it for?”
Anna gets the pen and paper from the table. “Maybe if we could write down the letters where those numbers were grouped with the codes then we can get something out of it.” She started writing the letters on the paper. “Those are letters R, Y, H, B, X, P, R, R, Q, G, E, D” Deby looked at it. “Then these were the letters which doesn’t have: I, L, O, T, O, T, H, E, N, A, C and K.”
“And then?” Deby asked.
Anna just tossed the pen onto the table and let out an exhausted breath. “I don’t know now. I can’t think of anything how’s that related to each letters.”
“Maybe, we should just stop trying to get what’s in it when in the first place there’s really nothing on it. Look, we’re wasting space and time here,” Deby suggest.
Anna didn’t respond. Her friend made so much sense than her, but she doesn’t know why she’s been bugged with the idea of solving it. She just feels like she will find something out of it.
Kiko gets the paper and checked it again. “What if this backward arrows and number three meant like stepping back to three?”
 The two stopped.
 “What?” Deby asked.
Kiko fished out her phone out of her pocket and searched for an alphabet chart.
“What are you doing?” Anna asked.
“Trying to solve it. I’m a fan of things like this. Lucky you.” She then scrolled to different images and chose a chart. She put down her phone on the table and started checking the letters with number three on it. “Okay, so if we count backwards to three from letter R, we’ll be getting letter O. Then from Y, it’s V, then from H its E. Then from B. . . wait, its only letter A.”
“Maybe you start counting from A then back to Z?” Deby thought. Anna immediately wrote down the letters on the paper.
 “You made a point. Okay so from B its. . . Y? Then from X its U. From P its M and from R, since it’s both R then its double O. Then from Q its N and from G its D. Then from E its B then lastly, from D it’s A. There!”
Deby checked the paper over her best friends shoulder. “Try to re- write the letters with three and those letters without three. Arrange them like before.”
Anna immediately formed the letters together.
 “It’s ILOVEYOUTOTHEMOONANDBACK.”
She went silent. Her eyes locked on the words written on the paper.
“Oh god. . .” Deby mutters.
Kiko quickly looked at the paper.
“Holy shit. It’s I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK.”
 Anna freeze from her seat.
One by one, the memories has rushed back to her, like a tidal wave hitting the shore. It was inevitable, uncontrollable and she felt like she was getting drowned.
A tear which has been unlocked fell from her eyes down to her cheeks. Her chest feels heavy.
Different scenes.
Different images.
Different names.
Different informations.
She feels like she was no longer on the ground.
Everything was getting out of control.
She had seen smiles. Laughs, and cries. She saw herself weeping. Her muscles constricting. She’s running out of breathe.
The vague memories became clear.
The blurry face cause her a drop of tear.
 Memories from a building rooftop.
Scenes in front of a cityscape under moonlight.
The first snow.
The first kiss.
The hug.
The voice.
The warmth.
The smile.
Anna understand it all now. Everything wasn’t a dream. It was real.
Her heart pounding. She was crying. Bawling her eyes out. The pains came back. It was killing her again, more vile, more lethal.
She didn’t notice the other two girls were completely in shocked and panicked when she suddenly froze and started weeping and sobbing like hell.
“What was going on?! Anna! Hey! What’s wrong?! Why are you crying?!” Deby asked keeping her to calm down. Kiko was sitting next to her rubbing her back. Both were frantic with her sudden outburst.
She kept sobbing. She was soaked with her tears. Her body was shaking intensively. She can’t breathe and she thought she was under the pool of waves, and she can’t swim. The force was pushing her back to the body of the sea. Eating her. Swallowing her.
I love you to the moon and back.
The memory of that night, the chilled grass underneath her palms. The sky, the moon. . . and him. It was all coming back.
“It is me who said it. . .” she said between her crack voice and whimper. Her hands were tightly clutched on her chest.
“Said what? Omaygad what’s going on Anna?” Deby asked again.
She sobbed again, catching for air. “It was me who said those words but. . .”
 Kiko and Deby waited.
“But it’s. . . it’s Park Jimin who wrote it.”
