Cerise Hood | Birthday in the Woods

Cerise was...tired. Her mom had shown up and all but dragged her home for the weekend. The party they threw had included not only their small family, but neighbours and shockingly Grandma Hood. They hadn’t spoken to her since Cerise had been born. Maybe it had something to do with the Book. She’d been able to get along a little better with her sister too...

She was tired and it showed...so, she was heading towards the woods for a run.

Cerise Hood, the Cloaked Wolf

Cerise Hood was born to the previous 'Red Riding Hood' and a 'Big Bad Wolf'. Due to the forbidden nature of her parents' relationship, Cerise has had to hide her true heritage for most of her life, using the trademark hood of her mother's story to hide the most obvious of her bloodline: her wolfish ears. Because of her family, Cerise has no desire to go through with her destined story.

She harbours a resentment for 'destiny' and the secrets forced on her by the world. Only a few people know her secret, even among her best friends. She has a pet Direwolf named Carmine who she is very close with.

Cerise Hood was on a run through the woods, racing Carmine to one of their picnic spots. It was her usual outing away from the stresses of school and pretending to be ‘normal’. She at least had friends like Raven and Maddie to cover for her while she was out.

Cerise came to a stop at the spot and looked around. Carmine was sitting in the middle of the clearing, clearly waiting for her. She groaned and sat down.

“I feel like you cheated,” she griped and Carmine whined at her. “Okay, I guess I’m off my game today.” The wolf got up and bounded up to her, licking her face and knocking her hood back. “Okay, okay!” she laughed.

Then, she noticed something glinting in the light of the clearing. Curious, she gently pushed Carmine away and went to investigate it. It almost seemed like something was buried where her wolf had been sitting. Cerise gently dug it out and dusted debris off of it.

Cerise was out in Bookend with Whisp, showing the genie around the town and doing some shopping. Birthdays were coming up and since she'd sort of made some friends it was the friendly thing to get gifts for them. And she needed some new clothes for Track.

"So is there anywhere you want to shop?" she asked just as the first drop of water hit her nose. Cerise frowned and looked up to see that it was suddenly cloudy. Then it started pouring. "Great…Hocus Latte will probably be packed…we're not far from the Haberdashery…"
