The trainees protecting Magnus is now immortalised as one of my fav head cannons to ever exist. Mostly cause Magnus deserves to be loved and protected and pampered. He has been doing this for others for centuries and secondly he deserves it cause he is just amazing and beautiful soul.

Secondly I actually got so emotional at all the trainees banding together to give him hugs and bring him snacks. Magnus really went from single bachelor with no soul mark trying his is unloveable to the being loved by a handsome Shadowhunter and his clan of protective lil beans. I can only imagine the scene after when Malec are alone and Magnus just breaks down cause ‘fuck, I really am adored for more than my magic’. Cue protective and soft soulmate Alec and just all the emotional reassurance cuteness ☺️

You’re honestly amazing. Like never miss a beat, always on point in ways I could never imagine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a (waaaaay too late) follow up to the Magnus getting hurt prompt and getting some trainees cuddles. (I am running so far behind on my prompts which I know all meant as prompts but they spark too many bunnies and then I want to write them.😂

Anyway here is the short follow up to that first prompt.💜

Magnus watches as the trainees walk out the door in pairs of two and threes. They’re all stalling, Hideaki “accidentally” forgetting five different pencils while Max forgets his socks, shoes and needs to pee before he runs out of excuses he can use. Clara is clinging to him, pouting and arguing with Alec that Magnus needs another Sad Pancake Day despite his injuries having entirely healed. 

Seeing the displeasure on their faces – the disappointed pouts that not even Aloysius and Ariadne manage to hide has something squeezing painfully in Magnus’ chest. Something warm and tender and painful, tearing and healing old wounds as Magnus struggles to keep his voice light and teasing.

Chairman Meow is pouting as well.

It’s not as visible as the crossed arms and downturned lips the trainees have adopted, but it’s visible in the way he’s swishing his tail and twining himself around the trainees’ legs, trying to stop them from leaving in a way Magnus doesn’t dare to.

“-okay Magnus?” Alexander’s voice pulls him out of his internal stewing. He’s looking at him, waiting for an answer. He has Clara and Steph hiked up on one arm while Leo and Barika are dangling from the other and he doesn’t even seem to notice it and the sight makes Magnus’ heart tighten again.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch that darling.”

“I’ll see you tonight?” he repeats, rolling his eyes when the reminder Alexander will be back tonight causes another wave of protests.

“Now, now my darling beans – it’s only until Saturday. I’m sure you’ll all survive a few days without me there.”

“But we don’t want to,” Payton grouches this time around. “Can’t you just come live with us at the institute? And then Chairman Meow can come too and we don’t have to wait.”

“Alright, that’s enough out of all of you,” Alexander interrupts before anyone else manages to fit another word in. “We’re already late so say bye to Magnus so we can go home.”

The chorus of Fine’s that echo through his loft sound somehow even more unhappy and displeased than everything else the trainees have said before this point. They bid him goodbye with quick stolen hugs and promises to see him on Saturday before Magnus is alone again in his too-big and too-empty loft.

“Meow,” Chairman Meow complains when the door shuts behind Alexander, the sound high and whiny.

“I know, Chairman,” Magnus sighs, sitting down on his couch so Chairman Meow can climb onto his lap. His chest is still hurting, his heart overflowing with more emotions than he knows what to do with. “I know. I miss them too.”

If later that night he ends up with tears in his eyes when Alexander hands him the drawings and get-well cards the trainees made him, his heart too full of love and care, then that’s only between him, Alexander’s shirt and the privacy of his wards.

for faves…. i love them all so much it’s actually not funny but for my top #1 yellowjackets character of all time it HAS TO go to my girl Lottie

1. Lottie

she’s insane she’s a cult leader she’s a champion soccer player she has big brown eyes she’s been in multiple odd relationships with various blonde girls she’s a prophet and above all she’s just a girl. 

i’m literally just gonna TOUCH on many topics and not go in depth bc i will actually write a full ass essay. if i haven’t already. 

Shes actually one of my fav characters of all time, not even just yellowjackets. deadass she is SO fascinating, both adult and teen version. unloved by rich parents. schizophrenic (or is it really the wilderness speaking to her??? we don’t know!!!) but hides it until it’s too late. her transformation from sarcastic a little odd but generally kind and cheerful soccer player to borderline mute haunted prophet to years later mysterious but successful wellness center (…cult) leader??? INSANE!!!!! 

her whole religion arc with laura lee??? actually one of the DRIVING forces of EVERYTHIBG i could write an ESSAY on this. insane. her weird one sided rivalry with nat??? INSANE!!! (and lwk homoerotic). her obsession with wilderness baby??? this could be its entire own post

also she like… just wants the best for everyone. she’s been put on a pedestal, marked as an enemy, had her words twisted to excuse HUNTING and EATING someone and then told it was her fault. she also couldn’t stop this because she let someone beat her up to let their anger out. she’s so self sacrificial she’s so overly caring and it ends up hurting herself and everyone and all she’s trying to do is understand things. she can’t be a god but she can be a martyr if they kill her quick enough. she’s MY tragic queen no one gets her like i do. i love her so much. also courtney eaton is really fine. irrelevant.

2. Nat

next up is nat. nat is also like. ohmygoodness. 

first of all the most interesting thing about me for nat HAS to be her dynamics with the group. you could put her with anyone and learn so much about both characters. travis? jackie? misty? lottie? shauna? ben? all of them. it’s a combination of nats insanely interesting character and sophie thatcher’s (sorry juliette lewis but it just wasn’t as impressive for me) INSANE screen presence. she shows so much emotion with just facial expressions and fucking steals every scene she’s in. def a huge contributor in making nat the character she is.

also unlike a lot of the other yjs, nat already has a history with this sort of tragedy. we see in her flashbacks with her dad (i think s1.4?)

this stuff sets her up as immediately apart from the group - not only is she a bit of a social outcast, labeled as an alcoholic, a druggie, a whore etc, but she also already came from a dark place and physically spent a lot of time seperate from the other girls. she spends a lot of time w coach Ben and travis, expanding a lot of their characters and making javis death even more horrible for her. the trauma she has surrounding guns and her father also leads to another really interesting thing - above all, no matter how much she pretends she doesn’t, nat does really fucking care. she cares a lot.

i LOVE this kind of character so much, the kind that pretends to be rlly apathetic but is almost more genuine in their kindness than anyone else. nat just genuinely fuckung cares and she’s been through so much and i rghhhhh. her apology to jackie???? hell even her moments with travis. cutting off his dads finger to get the ring when he couldn’t do it himself. i’m losing it. anyways i have to cut this off bc i need to get to my next girl and i WILL write an essay if i keep going. 

3. Shauna

Shauna fucking shipmannnnnnnn (and by an extent jackie because let’s be frl they are kind of one) let’s go crazy girls. Shauna is honestly terrifying. starting strong!!! but it’s kinda true. she has this like weird underlying sense of something violent about her. she’s always wanted more, she’s always kind of lived in jackie’s shadow wether jackie meant to or not. she had this kind of mindset that’s just SO like obsessive??? i kinda sound like a shauna hater rn this is NOT TRUE 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ she is so compelling it’s insane. 

first off sophie nelisse is incredible. actually incredible. like from the BEGINNING she had me FASCINATED with shauna just with her expressions and rghhhh everythibg. the talent is INSANE. 

and shauna herself is just. so tragic. now you can’t really talk about shauna without talking about jackie. and it’s okay bc i love jackie as well she is my favorite girlloser, resident coldgirl, mislabeled, misjudged queen. et cetera.

and having jackie is such a core part of shauna’s character. when she comes to the wilderness she starts to slip apart a little. rifts form, promises broken and secrets start to slip out. but she still CARES about jackie. she tries so hard to help her do something useful so the other girls don’t turn on her. 

but in the end she was always going to be the one holding the knife. she was always living in jackie’s shadow (at least in her mind) and she had this weird relationship with her where she both villainized and obsessed over her. standard homoerotic highschool girl bestfriendship. i don’t even know where i’m going with this there’s so much i could say. before i end let me rq touch on

wilderness baby and callie. this is also one of the most compelling things to do with shauna. after jackie’s death, shauna is technically on her own. after being so long on begat she perceived as jackie’s shadow, she has, in her mind, autonomy. and things really start to go downhill. first, she’s carrying the baby of her dead best friends boyfriend. which is a situation. but jackie isn’t ever really gone - she’s in shauna she’s in the baby she’s in the meat shed she’s a ghost and eventually she’s a full on fucking meal. so even though she’s dead, she NEVER leaves shauna and shauna is haunted by her forever. normal best friend stuff. but anyways shauna carries wilderness baby to term and loves him so so much and then it turns out he was stillborn. let me emphasize she loved this baby SO FUCKING MUCH. then later as an adult we see her with callie. „i don’t even like my daughter”. the switch up is crazy???? i think i’m running out of room to type fuck but anyways shauna shipman you will always be famous i love you i would write essays on you

this is a 2nd/3rd impressions post bc i just had to listen to the whole thing a few times before actually putting anything to paper. disclaimer that i've been waiting for this album since before it was even officially announced and jaehyun was just being coy about potentially dropping something in august so this has been very VERY highly anticipated & will go platinum in my airpods <3

Smoke - watched the MV several times over for the plot <3 i LOVEE love the verses & prechorus & how they build up to the chorus, and the chorus!! absolutely fed w those delicious deep register subrapper vocals

Roses - also very familiar w/this track as it's been on repeat since it dropped! the CHOIR ECHOOO and the valentine's gag is crazy, YES I DO WANNA BE YOURSSS <3 especially loved the contrast in the pre-release mv that combined roses & dandelions, absolutely serving desperate rnb guy sobbing on his hands and knees in the rain begging for his bitch back

Flamin' Hot Lemon - my notes for this are very exclamation pointed and incoherent so i will report accordingly: THE PRECHORUS!!!!!!!! UGHHHH BUT I HOPE THAT U DONT PICK NOBODY ELSEE!! the rapping !!!!! his lower register <333

Dandelion - the mv for this caused me genuine psychic damage. he's just soooo quirky professor manic pixie dream man husband that dies at the beginning of the move coded i need to eat him. a tune to which i would frolic in a sunny field. again love the layering in the prechorus, reminds me of blueberry eyes which i also love, FALSETTO ADLIBS <33

Completely - lyrically.. just incredible. it's so "to be known is to be loved." it feels so soothing on the wound of unknowability & unlovability. have already recommended it to a friend on the basis of it sounding like a little mix ballad, like i could very much imagine perrie and leigh-anne's voices esp in the chorus <3 another gorgeous display of his range. a bitch might have teared up

Easy - more Korean-heavy so it was harder for me to immediately follow the meaning of the song, but vocally and production-wise still very up to the standards of the rest of the tracks!! honestly feels very nct 127 b-side coded, he should link up w those guys and collab or smth :)

Can't Get You - love lovee that thrumming instrumental, also reminds me of Orange Seoul which was one of my fav Walk tracks <3 love his little whiny sYstem, & the backing vocals again are just lovely. the lyrics!!!! i know you know!! geyser by mitski is a really good song to describe nina’s relationship with Jeff. the way that the song starts off so slow, so quiet and thin, but then swells to a grand and full sound like how nina’s obsession started off so small but then grew to control her entire life. love the line “and hear the harmony only when it’s harming me”

a pearl by mitski and LJ (another mitski song cause she’s my fav artist ever) about his abandonment mmm. plus the slightly sinister sounding chords showing his evilification(?? yk what i mean. when he turned emo) ugh “you’re growing tired of me” and “i fell in love with a war and nobody told me it ended” so him

There were massive personal reasons why my flame for Wakfu finally fizzled out after 10 years, but one somewhat easy to communicate is that I love obscure things, then get depressed because they’re obscure (duh) and I feel unappreciated. My brain’s a sad and shriveled up thing that constantly screams at me, “UNLOVED UNLOVED UNLOVED”, and for the longest time I just didn’t know better than staying in obscure fandoms. I obsess easily and stay like that virtually forever.

When my attention was finally caught by something more popular (while still watching my fav youtuber of another obscure thing), when I started posting in that new fandom, I was blown away by an avalanche of “LOVED LOVED LOVED”. And the nature of that new fandom, ffxiv, unlike, say, genshin, makes sure the interactions between me and the audience are deep and meaningful. I just instantly got swept off my feet and bride-carried to a better place.

My sad brain’s still at it, but now I have a means to shut it up whenever I post something and get a new portion of “LOVED LOVED LOVED”. My lengthy comic project ensures that I never stop feeling loved for too long. I’m glad I’ve found a means to keep myself alive and happy, even if it still hinges on one fandom and one thing that I’ve gotta keep doing, but such is an artist’s life, I guess.

It was quite a lot of my mother's side of the family, my grandma (81, absolutely bonkers) and my aunt are going to Poland to visit my cousins (my aunt's eldest child, his wife and their daughter, Angel) for a week, so we gathered to say goodbye and give them any presents we had for Angel (she's had a birthday since the last of us went to Poland). It was less of a dinner and more of a "bring a plate of finger food" but I don't see them often because I work nights so catching up was nice.

I watched the new PJO last night actually! I waited until it was all released before I watched any of it (anxiety and cliffhangers don't mix well (I knew what would happen but anxiety doesn't care)) Oh my stars, those kids all did so well!!! It was a joy to watch from start to finish!! (for me at least, I know fan opinion is split)

Oh you ask the hard questions, don't you? My favourite TSC characters (I'm gonna cheat and say 2) I would have to say is Ty and Alec. I relate to both of them a lot. Ty was the first character like me (autistic) I ever saw in the media and there just aren't words for how much that meant to me. Alec I related to a lot as well because all he wants is his family safe and happy, even if he has to change the world to do it.

That‘s actually so smart (even though I would have been way too impatient to wait that long to watch it haha). I loved the show so much, but I still understand certain critique points like the pacing. As you said the actors did absolutely amazing (The angst in episode five?!? They are the perfect Percabeth). I literally screamed and needed to pause the episode for 5 minutes when the first „Seaweed Brain“ dropped. And the last episode was just crazy good! What was your favorite episode or scene?

They‘re two of my favs as well! And it‘s so amazing that you saw yourself representing through Ty! (I think that also shows how important it is to write characters that people can relate to).

So I actually have quite a lot of characters I love but my absolute favourite has to be Kit. I was simply so moved by his story and that even though he had a tough and unloving childhood, he‘s a such a gentle and kindhearted person and never truly loses hope.

My favourite TSC gang would either be the TLH or the TMI gang. I can‘t even really explain why but I just love them so much.

To answer you: at first, as mentioned, I'd suggest you to see yourself as you'd see your best friend, or a kid in need of help or a puppy if you rather (I know it seems weird, but we need to start from a situation we can relate with and that creates in us a positive/compassionate/kind/nurturing feeling towards another being so to move it onto ourself too). Love doesn't need to be romantic, love can happen in many forms so don't focus on just one definition of this feeling. You can also start by liking yourself, and move onto love from there (it depends on how you define "love" to be like too; and don't feel bad about it, we all have different acception so it's okay however you consider it, just try to find ways to move that feeling on yourself).

For example, have you ever felt like you needed to help someone and say something encouraging to them, eg. a classmate and friend who had a bad test result or a bad day in general? Or that feel they don't look/aren't good enough but you know it's not true cause they are the world to you? Have you ever needed to help an old lady carrying groceries? Help yourself with that same profound need and care. You could even see yourself as your crush. How would you act with them? What would you tell them or do for them? I'm kinda sure you won't criticize them for anything but help them see the good side about themselves and what they do, right?

Give yourself space, time, be kinder when you make mistakes or have fallbacks, give yourself accolades, support yourself, go somewhere you want by yourself (eg. movie teather, park, coffee shop...), start a hobby (just for fun: do not criticize yourself for not being good enough, mastering it -immediately or not- isn't the point), make yourself your favorite food, take time to explore yourself and do what you like, enjoying your free time/breaks without stressing over what you should do or feeling guilty about wasting time (it's not so), celebrate special occasions (you decide what is special: passing a test or finishing cleaning your room/house; you could buy your fav snack or take a nap or buy a small gift or take a break watching a movie instead of maybe thinking about what to do next and stress you more...)... take yourself on dates to know yourself, basically. Show yourself how you want to be loved, and it's okay if you take inspiration from movies (either about friends or lovers) to start with.

Don't go from 0 to 100 in a day, take your time ofc and respect yourself. Talk with yourself (without criticizing all you see but being more accepting or at least balancing your words as I mentioned the other time) and realize when you may have bad days and you don't feel like doing much. These are fine. Don't force things. Love, of any type, is about respect too. Oh and if you're scared of or insecure about something try to understand why as you would with a child. Talk nicely and kindly with yourself. You don't deserve harshness from you. The same works also for when you make mistakes (of any type) and start seeing yourself as unworthy or unlovable. Be kinder, criticizing yourself won't take you anywhere. We all make mistakes and feel bad about them, but we can't be perfect and always make everyone else happy to the point of sacrificing our own happiness: we should focus on making us happy too as we are as worthy and lovable as anyone else (and chances are what we criticize ourself for is nothing that bad in the end, but our triggers and fears/insecurities want us to think differently).

Me, ponyboy and dally were at the movies at the moment it was a boring movie it was your typical western movie I had done forgotten the name of it. Not like I cared about the name of it I didn't care much about movies like Ponyboy did, but it was better than watch my boyfriend flirt with yet another girl. Not that she gave into his flirts thankfully. Ponyboy noticed my sad look even though it was normal to see me like a sad little puppy he still asked, "Hey johnnycakes you good?" i looked and him and nodded "yeah just thinking" i said quickly.

A few minutes later i hear her yelling at him and throwing a coke that i would have gladly taken my throat was killing me. I watched as dally got pissed and decided to stand up and say "quit it dal leave her alone" which shockingly he did. He left pissed off and i decided to follow after him after apologizing to cherry and telling ponyboy i was going to get dally.

"DAL" I yelled looking for him, hoping to find him soon. I found him at someone's (a/n i forgot the name of him pls I'm going 2 cry) house knocked asked for him and got him he took to his room quickly. "What is it kid?" he said as if i wasn't his boyfriend, "stop addressing me as kid I'm not a damn kid dal I'm your fuckin boyfriend" I said snapping. I felt bad for snapping as he looked shocked and asked me what i said so I said it again not scared as i usually would be. "No dallas you listen to me god damn it You say you love me, and you are happy i am your boyfriend, but don't god damn show it any fuckin more! All you do is flirt with the other girls in front of me, but God forbid i did the same it would be different would it?" I said not realizing to cry till dal walked up to me and held me and wiped my tears away. "Baby first its dal not dallas dont even call me my name again, and You know it's a act you know i hate them girls I only do want you doll..." He said softly and i realized he was right but i wasn't thinking at the moment "But how can I believe this? You always say this how about you show it before you tell me it again" I say as i storm out the people at the party was confused till they saw dal upset and realized what it was.

He followed me to the Curtis house and saw me sobbing into Soda pops chest. I think this is when he got pissed and thought I was replacing him as he ripped me off him and grabbed sodas collar of his shirt and started yelling at him. Which exposed our relationship which no one cared about because dally was beat sodas ass till Darry came and yanked him off of him. He pulled away from Darry and held me asked me softly as if he didn't beat my friend's ass for holding me "did that prove my love for ya..?" I had just nodded and said my apologizes for both me and Dallas's chaos and we went back to his place.

This post is for those of you who feel unlovable or ugly because of your weight.

It's always good to work towards healthy habits, don't get me wrong. Still, no one should feel unlovable because their stomach is soft and squishy, their chin folds when looking down or their thighs chafe holes in their pants.

I don't feel very good at my current condition, but you know what's helped me? Reminding myself that not everyone wants a partner with the perfect body. I for one definitely prefer a huggable teddy bear type over washboard abs. Squeezable cheeks over defined cheekbones. Also the whole "personality over looks" thing but that's nothing new.

Also also, another thing that has helped me. Insecure about the stomach bump over your pants? Wear a (mini) skirt. I put on thick leggings or like actual pants and throw a simple black or like red tartan type skirt over them. (Works even with those old shirts that are too short and shrinked in the wash!) The skirt covers the tummy and I actually feel cool and stylish and maybe even attractive sometimes! My mom even asked if I had lost weight! (I hadn't!)

This is my fav outfit rn, really comfy but makes me feel like a kpop star lol. Also new pfp

Anyway, just wanted to get these thoughts out there, hopefully they helped someone somewhere, even a little.

I don’t know which tea you’re referring to but I’m having an emotional breakdown over vocaloid so I’m dumping vocaloid tea. Huge rant below.

The year is 2012, the vocaloid community is in a weird phase. V3 has been out and going steady for a bit, and a lot of the fans are demanding remakes rather than new vocaloids. The exploration of new languages is a new trendy thing in V3, however, people are mainly demanding remakes of lesser-known V2′s and even underappreciated V1′s. Miki is a popular candidate, as she has a stable fanbase, a decent voice, and her design is manifique, however, many companies are currently popping out new vocaloids who are beginning to grow individualized fandoms of their own. The big 5 (or 6 or 7 depending on if you include Luka and/or Gakupo in the major leagues) are getting their V3′s, but there’s a definitive copy-cat style going on of the big 5 with a lot of the newer vocaloids. However, someone new comes into the fray.

The greatest vocaloid in the history of mankind has just been released. The beautiful, the one and only Aoki Lapis, has graced the world with her perfect demo, her perfect design, and her perfect name. Her voice is crafted like that of an angel, and she is ready for all your basic vocaloid needs. She can sing cute, happy songs. She can sing painful, sad songs. Her voice is like that of a lonely puppy, ready to make or break your heart at a moments notice. Will she smile? Will she cry? The choice is up to the fans. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY FUCKING DID?

THEY IGNORED HER.

FUCKING INSTEAD, A YEAR OLD VOCALOID WHICH HAD NO FUCKING FANBASE UP UNTIL THAT POINT DECIDED TO START PICKING UP PACE.

Tone Rion, WHO’S INITIAL FANDOM WAS COMPRISED OF MANY FUCKING LOLICONS [aka PEDOPHILES] DUE TO HER FUCKING RIDICULOUSLY CHILDISH YET SEXUALIZED OUTFIT, started gaining traction despite her initial rocky start, ENDED UP WITH A LONG-STANDING FANDOM WHO STILL PRODUCE MUSIC TO THIS FUCKINGDAY. And I mean HER FACE IS EXACTLY LIKE FUCKING KAAI YUKI, A FUCKING KINDERGARTEN AGE VOCALOID. Tone Rion sounded so fucking bland, so fucking generic. Her voice is like that of if you put a hundread different fem vocaloid voices through a neural network and made it produce one of it’s own. It’s so fucking bland and has no emotion in it, AND YET GUSSS FUCKING WHAT?!?

SHE GET’S A FUCKING V4, AND THEY REDO HER WHOLE DESIGN BECAUSE THE WERID SEXUALIZED SCI-FI MAGICAL GIRL KID WITH TIDDY WINDOWS WAS KINDA A BAD IDEA. NOW SHE HAS A SUPER FUCKING CUTE DESIGN AND A NEW (IMRPOVED) VOICE BUT YOU FUCKING KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO AOKI???

Y’ALL FUCKERS DIDN’T PICK UP SACHIKO ENOUGH FROM V4. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL SHE SOUNDS SO GODDAMN AUTHENTIC?!?!? Like GODDAMN Sachiko is fucking god-tier like Aoki and y’all sleeping on her. HER BOX ART? GREAT. HER VOICE? GREAT. HER EMOTION, HER EVERYTHING??? FUCKING ON POINT. She’s got that rougher, deeper voice y’all loved about Luka, BUT LOO KWHAT YOU DID TO HER. Y’ALL LEFT HER FOR DEAD. Sachiko is EONS ahead of Luka in terms of rough, deep vocals, and god she sounds so fucking realistic because of it. It makes her emotion in depressing songs or creepy songs SO MUCH BETTER.

[Please note I’m angry at the community as a whole, and not individualized people and you should not feel in any way responsible for my anger. It is not your duty as a fan of something to show appreciation for lesser known characters or aspects of it. The vocaloid fandom, however, has a trend of picking up lesser-quality vocaloids in favor of the more robotic voices. Look at fucking SONIKA, one of the worst vocaloids to date MECHANICALLY WISE, NOT EVEN JUST VOCAL WISE, with her strong fandom and usage. And yes, the power of a producer using lesser-quality vocaloids and still making jams with them is a testimate to their skill, but it’s still painful to see the fans in turn also pick up said vocaloids because they want to be like their favorite producers rather than experiment with something new.

I used Maika fans as a example of “unproblematic fans” as most Maika songs are from Spanish! Vocaloid community, who really don’t have enough vocaloids to start discourse about lol. The only real discourse I saw on the spanish vocaloids was from the English and Japanese communities, who were super fucking shitty on Bruno and Clara but for ~some reason~ loved Maika. Honestly, Spanish Vocaloid community I’m so sorry y’alls first vocaloids went through such a hard time. Hope y’all get more vocaloids soon, y’all are such an awesome fanbase and I see y’all with all the subs you guys make. Keep being loud! Be seen! They’ll remember you’re a epic market!

Please note most of my critique is on the English vocaloid community, however also partially on the Japanese vocaloid community. It is very common for English producers to use non-english voice banks, however there’s a definitive trend to it all I hate. The Japanese vocaloid community is a lot harder for me to critique, however as a consumer of both english and japanese community creations I can fucking say that both of y’all assholes left my favs to die.]

TLDR: Tone Rion was initially a loli-bait style character who was made as if a mix between “robot magical girl” Miku, and Kaai Yuki with one of the most generic voices to date, but managed to get a V4 (and a VERY WELL NEEDED redesign I actually approve of as it’s more just to look cute rather than to be creepy) and a steady community while my fav Aoki just was thrown away and not even the underground community picked her up enough. I will reinterate here though, most Tone Rion fans now are not creeps. They’re just digging the cute remake of a vocaloid they may have some kind of nostalgia for just because they were hyped for all the new V3′s coming out at the time. Like, modern Tone Rion fans I’m more jealous of you rather than angry at you. Old fashion Tone Rion fans (especially those who didn’t like her new design) can go choke, that was a shit-tier design and she had an awful voice. Her new one is actually not bad, but still pretty dead in comparison to our lovely Lapis.

I will say a reason that most vocaloids “die” is caused by fans liking producers who make funky songs, and then buy  the same vocaloids of their favorite songs to mimic their producers rather than to explore new vocaloids. This leads to a cycle, ultimately leaving barely any room for new vocaloids to be explored. If a popular producer doesn’t pick up a vocaloid, or even if they did but didn’t utilize them enough (often because the vocals don’t mix well with their style or because the mechanics behind the voice are shit. Despite Circus-P getting a copy of Galaco she still died pretty hard, and she actually had a pretty alright voice and cute design. I think that one Yandere-style lolita-fashion vocaloid, can’t remember her name despite loving her, also beat her in popularity as she’s still being used quite decently.), and so that vocaloid’s popularity will be almost nothing.

Also my fav V4, Sachiko, was also discarded despite her BEAUTIFUL voice and design, because of her extremely rough voice not fitting the ~cutsy~ style of most vocaloid fans. For fucks sakes she’d be perfect for the Hagane fandom but we’re pretty fucking dead right now. Not even Yandere! vocaloid fandom picked her up and that’s such a disappointment man.
