danny inherited the abysmal driving skills of his parents. the people in amity park are used to it though so this wouldn't be such a problem if he hadn't started learning to create portals recently, as seen when he opened a portal under his car while driving to avoid crashing into someone else while pursued by the GIW (sue him, it was a stressful situation). jazz is passed out right next to him, sam and tucker are screaming in the backseat while dani's cackling between them, adrenaline junkie that she is. the car is falling into the ghost zone and right out of another natural portal. they land right in front of a group of weirdos dressed in colourful costumes.

"... the only reason why i'm not killing you a second time is because this city looks super goth," says sam, waving the fenton thermos threateningly.

"there's nothing stopping me," mutters tucker, eyeing the costumed people warily.

danny squirms. "well, at least the GIW can't get us there?"

my current takes on the luxon after downfall:

1. dunamis is a fundamental building block of reality (basically physics, time, and statistics) and arcane magic just allows you to manipulate it in the same way that other schools of magic do. we also see dunamis when the gods are fleeing tengar

2. "the luxon" is actually more like a force of nature than a divine being and there are many more things like it in the universe. our luxon is unique because it split itself into exandria and gave life to the primordials rather than remaining somewhere outside of reality

3. one of the other luxon-like beings became tengar and over time inside of it the gods were created. the gods were guided to exandria because they sensed the luxon's light there

I would kinda like to make an AU that at first just seems like a complete AU with nothing shared from HI3's world outside of characters. Like, the Earth got rings and no moon, there's ancient ruins everywhere, new countries and an altered landscape. It could follow Kiana and Mei and Bronya as they are exploring and they stumble upon some ancient ruins and stuff.

But then reveal that, no, this is 'Era 3' of HI3 (with the 'PE' being Era 1, in this case) and that in this AU what happened was something catastrophic during the final battle in Era 2 (aka, the CE);

The Moon's velocity was reduced, breaking its stable orbit, and it slowly got pulled towards the Earth.

Yeah if that actually happened the Moon would not crash into the Earth. Once the Moon passes the Roche limit, it would disintigrate as the tidal forces applied to it literally squeezes the Moon until it breaks, and its pieces would form rings around the Earth. That is after massive volcano eruptions, earthquakes, and tides as high as skyscrapers has destroyed most of all lives on the Earth.

But you know, you could technically survive it in bunkers or submarines.

I kinda wanna write the CE main casts reactions to being found and awakened out of cryosleep that they entered while waiting for the apocalypse to pass.

Like, imagine going into cryosleep, and when you wake up there's no Moon in the sky, and Earth got rings, and "what do you mean Earth didn't always have rings?"
