Not sure if you actually meant 10 sentences of if you are truly evil and genuinely wanted 30 (/lh), but uh well I started writing and turns out you're getting 30 anyway so congrats <3 This is also very much FRESH off the presses no edit no beta so yknow... it'll get edited and expanded in the final fic etc.

This is the first scene, in which Interim Captain Hen (because I am ignoring the whole end of the s7 finale <3) clocks the Grindr notif sound going off in her firehouse KJDSFHJK

Ka-dlunk! Hen’s head snapped up from her book at the familiar sound, eyes widening in shock as she zeroed in on the source. Surely that wasn’t what she thought it was. But sure enough, Buck was picking up his phone, smirk growing on his face as he swiped to respond to the notification. He didn’t even bother to put down the book he was holding in his other hand, typing out a quick response before locking and setting his phone back down. He finally noticed Hen’s look as he did so, and responded with a look of confusion. “What?” “Really, Buck? At work?” Her shock had faded by then, replaced with a knowing raise of her brows and wry smile. A little huff of embarrassed laughter slipped out as he realized she’d recognized the notification sound, and he rolled his eyes in exasperation. “We’re just chatting, that’s all.” “Uh-huh… just don’t make me have to write you up for stealing a firetruck.” “Hey,” he protested, setting down his book to give her his full attention. “C’mon, you know I’m not that guy anymore. I’d never risk my job like that again.” Hen sighed softly and gave him a more sincere smile, easing up on the critical look. “I know, Buck. Just giving you a hard time, and making sure this isn’t gonna become a problem. Kinda my job, at least until Cap gets back.” His slightly defensive posture relaxed at that, and he matched her smile. “Yeah, I get it. And… thank you, for worrying. But I’m not going back to being Buck 1.0, alright, this is the beginning of Buck 4.0,” he insisted, which made her laugh. “Oh, Buck 3.0 realized he liked guys and had to upgrade to a whole new version?” “Exactly,” he agreed, and they shared another laugh before returning to their respective books. But she couldn’t help but watch him awhile longer over the top of the spine, a knot of worry forming in her stomach. He was a grown man responsible for his own choices; it was totally fine and normal to want to explore his sexuality and play the field for a while, anyway, and yet… He’d been uncharacteristically tight lipped about why he and Tommy broke up, and when she combined this new development with his history, something wasn’t adding up. Or rather, it was adding up, into a picture she didn’t like the looks of. Her Mother Hen instincts were insisting something really wrong was going on, but she’d done enough clucking for one day; all she could do now was watch, wait, and hope her instincts would be proven wrong.

1 What is your favorite canon fact about this character?

That he wasn’t always “super powerful” and “aloof”. That he was once just an ordinary, shy, and quiet kid like everyone else, who wasn’t really good at fighting or standing up for himself.

5 What is one thing you would change with this character (it can be their appearance, arc, personality, etc;)?

Hmm, for Yuno I think it would be his personality 🤔. At least a bit. I’ve said it before, but I would like him to be able/to have been able to emote more 😔. I’m not saying to make him cry at the drop of a hat all the time, but just…have him show a bit more emotion. Like for example in the Golden Dawn filler episode (note: my memory of the episode is a little hazy) but he showed a *bit* of emotion in it when he confronted Langris and when he went on the mission with them. I think it was a good little “snippet” of emotion, but maybe there could have been more 😅?

Although on the other hand if he showed *too* much emotion it wouldn’t really be in character for him😅🤷🏻‍♀️. So I want him to show a bit more emotion, but not *too* much if that makes sense.

8 Is there a ship that makes the most sense for this character (can be romantic or platonic)?

Hm, Romantically it would be Neva /lh+j. But since she doesn’t exist in Tabata’s canon, and I don’t ship him romantically with anyone in canon, I’m going with a platonic relationship. Which is Asta 😆!

I think the reason why I love their relationship platonically is because they just seem like two best friends who support each other 100% even though they share the same dream/goal! Their rivalary seems very “healthy” to me, as in neither one is putting the other down, instead they’re lifting each other up and are encouraging each other while still keeping their “competitiveness” 😆!

3 What is your favorite fanon/fandom fact or headcanon about this character?

My favorite fanon/fandom fact about Neva is that she gets shy whenever her friends/the Captain’s wives are talking about their romantic lives 😆! She’s usually kind of…stoic and serious, or at least she tries to be, so when she hears anyone talking about romance or “spicier” subjects she starts blushing and stammering which is kind of the opposite of her “normal” personality!

10 How do they perceive themselves and their actions?

Hm, I think Neva perceive’s herself as someone who is emotionally “strong, capable, and okay” and that her actions reflect that. For example, after she found out that William was the one that betrayed them she did her best to potray herself as this strong and “unshakeable” person. Because in her mind, if she showed any kind of emotion (such as sadness, hurt, etc) the Squad members would label her as weak and either wouldn’t trust her, or would see her as “less then them”. If that makes sense 😆!

14 What trait do they find most admirable and how often do they find it?

I think honesty is a trait Neva finds most admirable! She herself isn’t very honest, and she’s found that even those around her (*cough* William *cough*$ aren’t as honest as she thought they were. So i think that’s why whenever she see’s/finds someone thats honest, even to a fault, she automatically admires them and is pulled towards them. As for how often she finds it, not very. Whenever she’s thought she’s found it she’s usually proven to be wrong, at least until Yuno shows up.

Chapter Seven time baby!

I have so much trouble sympathizing with Helena because, unlike her, I don't put much thought into my appearance. I could be five minutes from needing to be somewhere and looking nice and I'll just… grab something outta my closet. Helena would be so disappointed in me, I worry! Because here she is, worrying and running late for the banquet because a dress she specially ordered hasn't arrived. She needs that dress to look her best and fit the aesthetic of her hosts and that consciousness of hers makes sense considering her background. She grew up with eyes on her and with the expectation that she presents herself within certain criteria. The assumption of Helena's, that the dress's arrival wouldn't really be such a close call, being proven wrong gives a sense of Helena's optimism. She hopes that things work out neatly even with a warning. It's something small but considering that she's surrounded by the elder Silvas who pessimistically look down (mostly on others), I think that every moment that can show a part of Helena contrasting the nature of the Silvas is a good part of the story.

Lmao, Nozel accidentally perved on Helena! I mean not that much since she had the bathrobe on. But like, coming to a lady's room only to find her underdressed would probably be considered perverse in the setting. And congratulations, Helena, you broke Nozel's nose! Or maybe just left a scratch on his hairpiece. Either way, smooth move slamming the door on him.

I will point out that Nozel is wrong in saying that he "barged in" on Helena. For me "barging in" implies walking into the room without announcement. Helena, while expecting someone else, opened the door for him. Really, Nozel merely checked in at an inopportune time and Helena unintentionally revealed herself. So… social interaction points for neither of them, they both fumbled here. (Also, you'd think that the maid bringing the dress would actually be the one to rush in, hurrying to get Helena her dress and all.)

This is probably only because I am separated from the scene and have extra awareness as a reader but… Nozel… Buddy. Helena just said that she's waiting for her dress. Meaning that she's intending to put on a specific article of clothing. Shut the heck up with your nonsense of "don't you have anything else to where?" If someone is of the mind to where something in particular, they're not just going to throw whatever on! You silver dolt!/lh

Helena's assumption that Nozel wouldn't do a proper job and escort her to the banquet is a bit insulting. Not a super scathing insult but it's the kind of high society jab that fits the two of them. Being accused of impropriety seems like something that Nozel would in fact take seriously. I mean, the fact that he made quite the silly effort not to look at Helena while she's underdressed backs up the idea that he's conscious of propriety.

"I meant it when I said, it was going to be worth it wait." Glorious show of confidence from Helena. She can work it!

I can't believe Nozel can already read Helena well enough that he can tell by her face that she's going to say something that's going to bother him. Aiasgjklbnairugh! He's got his eagle eyes locked onto things that displease him, I guess.

Maybe this is just me nitpicking a particular detail but I think mentioning that Nebra gave Helena the Silva earrings should've only come up when Helena arrived at the banquet. The first mention of the Silva earrings could've omitted where Helena got them, probably leaving readers to assume that they were procured by the maids. Then later, Nebra's comment reveals that she gave them to Helena. It would've built off the scene that ended the previous chapter where Nebra helped plan Helena's outfit and showed how the women are developing the start of a friendship. As it's already written though, it's fine. But a small question and reveal never hurts.

(I'm thinking of some writing that was shared with me where Character A is depicted needing help getting a gift for Character B, their love interest. And at first, they're only shown asking Character C for help picking a gift but then it's revealed that C actively helped make the gift for B, making a romantic moment for A and B also a background B and C friendship moment. It's a small detail but it can still leave an impact.)

Also, Helena and Nebra's outfits sharing a general silhouette is a nice touch. As of right now, they're the ones who are the closest.

It probably wasn't your intention with the scene but Helena interacting with the Vermillions shows why she's been placed with the Silvas. She fits in too cleanly with the Vermillions, being open and amicable. But her role in the story is to interact with the Silvas as they stand in opposition to her beliefs. She challanges them. It's not in the sense that she's saying "I'm going to change you to be what I like" but in the sense that she's saying "I'm here with you but you won't steamroll my beliefs and you'll have to live with that." I know you say Helena is a narrator to the Silvas' story, but I'm not really seeing her that way. She has her own plot/character arc but it's like thinner threads woven into a thicker rope. Helena has stuff going on for herself but it's encompassed by a larger entity, that being the goings-on of the Silvas.

Now I know this is just a me thing but Helena opting to refer to Fuegoleon by a nickname during their first meeting felt rushed. Fuegoleon is more amicable than Nozel, and Fuegoleon being open to a nickname does highlight that and Helena's affinity with the Vermillions. But you also point out that most people don't call him by a nickname and the only canonical example I can think of is Sister Theresa. And Helena doesn't have the same weight in Fuegoleon's life that Sister Theresa does. Sorry to harp on something so small. It just felt off to me.

As the chapter nears its end, I don't really have much else to say. Helena presents herself well and nothing goes wrong during the evening. It's a lowstakes, low drama chapter. All that drama is for later chapters, I know. But the beginnings of Helena and Nozel's future closeness shows in the end. A genuine compliment from him. And a flustered reaction from her. It feels like a nice parallel to the end of the last chapter, where it was Helena and Nebra being shown becoming closer to one another. However here, the energy is charged with a different kind of emotion.

I’m so excited you got to this chapter because finally it’s a bit funnier. 

Helena puts A LOT of thought in her appearance, but that’s normal for a Royal, she knows it’s more than how she feels. She needs to represent a house, carry the right symbolism, reveal just the right amount of skin… and so on and so on.

I love how you caught that part in which it shows how much of an optimist Helena is. Just like in previous chapters with the Silvas she was once again convinced that everything would be alright. Sadly she got disappointed again… But yes it’s all about contrasts and parallels and you’re catching on to them.

Well… he still checked her out. He didn’t point out to her how she was in her bathrobe, he just… stared. And in Royal setting any private interactions between man and woman could be considered this way.

She didn’t break his nose… yet… okay HELENA doesn’t break his nose. But yes it accidentally became a repeating trope in PH that Nozel’s nose gets assaulted.

Everyone is angry they’re late.

To the next one, he is a silver dolt! And once again *late bird noises* that’s all that’s happening in his brain. Well maybe for a moment Nozel.exe stopped working as he started checking her out, but then it went back to the late mode. 

Yes Helena’s assumption is insulting and it’s meant to be. Helena… has this tendency to stick the needle where it hurst. She’s very good at that whether she wants it or not. So yes she knows it’s expected of Nozel to do that and is not actually surprised he did it, but… once again she knows how to insult people. (She’s not super mean… but she kind of is at times).

Helena’s almost always confident. I look up to my own OC for that. 

So it’s not about Nozel being able to read her that well, it’s more about Helena being an open book. People don’t have to know her that well to recognise “I’m going to say something silly” look. Also yes Nozel is an expert at finding stuff that annoys him only so that he can criticise them. 

You nitpicked at the right detail. I feel like I should rewrite that, because the earrings are kind of a symbol of Helena and Nebra’s friendship. Nebra helped Helena pick her outfit, got her the earrings as in “you’re representing our house”, but also an olive branch of sorts way. So the thing with Nebra is that she really doesn’t have friends. And now suddenly there’s another woman around her age, another Royal, who lives with her and is not the most awful person to be around. She’s… willing to take that shot. Especially since she appreciates fashion.

I totally agree with you. Ehh I wrote this so long ago and you know what it only shows that my writing and planning has improved so I’m happy. I’m glad you’re pointing these out, because I also know what I can do in the future, so please continue to do so. Another writer’s honest opinion is always such a great source of information to get better. 

Helena and Nebra are the closest for now. A budding friendship.

It was EXACTLY my intention with the Vermillons scene. Helena and the redheads vibe right away.  So we’re seeing how good she’s here and how much she doesn’t click with the Silvas at first. And exactly Helena has her beliefs and since the beginning she doesn’t let Silvas wipe the floor with her. She has her pride. 

I’m glad she’s standing out as more than a narrator to this story, because the more I wrote the better grip I got on Helena. I obviously had a character art for her as well, her own story, because I thought it would be boring without it. I like to compare her a bit to Aaron Burr from Hamilton. Hamilton is the main character, but Burr is the one telling it while having his own character arc and motivations. 

However I may personally see her more as one simply of how she started form the Silvas and was created for them. You got to know Helena as Helena from Tumblr, with the Silvas but still separate to them. 

Yeah… nickname part. It’s awkward. I’m not proud of it, I simply wanted to show them get along well, also Helena crosses boundaries pretty easily when she feels that she “can”, so I tried to show that a bit. But still this is not the best part. 

Helena is your perfect princess who knows how to behave with nobility. There’s no drama here. We’re still before “crossing” the BC storyline so it’s still setting the scene in a way. Building up and this was the first moment when Nozel actually saw that “hey she’s not the words, she can behave… I can… tolerate her… and admit the truth” It’s a compliment but also an observation. He certainly didn’t mean it as a pick up line, because he just doesn’t work that way. He decided to stated the things as they were. And Helena was caught of guard.

Hah the emotion is supposed to be different ^^

I like Joe but his widows are insufferable. They had this idea that Taylor was completely obsessed with Joe and would never get over him and when TTPD came out, they were proven wrong and decided to paint Taylor as this sociopath who never loved him.

Like - sometimes you just fall out of love in relationships. She obviously wasn't feeling loved by him anymore and this was indicated before Matty showed up again. She could have dumped him the moment Matty broke up with Twigs but she obviously had an attachment to the relationship and perhaps some hope that they could work out (because why did she record a reel talking about protecting her "6-year relationship" and put his star sign as an Easter egg in LH's MV and made all that effort to see him on his birthday? I do believe she was very confused which is completely common although it wasn't the right decision)

Both contributed to the end of this relationship. Depending on your view, one more than the other. But he was visibly checking out too.

Very interesting. We see the concept of a reflection, mirror image, two-sides-of-the-same-coin even here. For the positive aspect, I pulled The Empress (upright), and for the negative aspect, I pulled The Emperor (reversed).

Regardless of this person’s gender, they’re quite in touch with their feminine or yin energy. At their best, they are creative, generous, and joyful. I get the idea of someone who likes to bounce ideas off of others and share their thoughts. They like to see, and think, and interpret. If someone requests guidance or help from them, they are happy to give their support. They enjoy being shown respect and being asked for advice, because it affirms to them that they have worth and value in the eyes of others. As the Emperor, a card of power, is in reverse, and The Empress can represent someone who uses emotional tactics to achieve their aims, this person’s most evident flaw is a tendency to manipulate people, emotions, and/or facts. I don’t feel like they do this maliciously, or even purposefully some of the time. I think that it’s more of a defense mechanism, because they’re afraid of something. Perhaps they fear that they would be left behind if others realize they’re not enough. It might be a bit of imposter syndrome. This fear is also something they must overcome. 

These problems may all be things you help them to recognize and address.

I remember that I’ve drawn this card for you before, for a general reading! Now, this is not necessarily the case, but this could indicate that the person you came to clarify about after that reading may very well be your twin flame. 

If I ignore that relation (though I find it somewhat difficult to think it’s just a coincidence to be honest, haha), then this card, to me, suggests that your twin flame is either someone you have met only recently or someone you have already known for a long time.

The Knight of Cups means deep involvement, diving in head-first, emotions clouding judgment. This card essentially summarizes this person as someone who is good at their core, but largely imperfect (as all humans are), and ultimately not meant to stay with you forever. Since someone asked about BWS, you have any plans about translating Last Hope in the future? The last translator dropped it to work on her own games, and I doubt otogetranslations will do it. I have the script files of the PSP version if extracting is an issue. (I had high hopes Aksyss would have picked up the vita port, but I guess the games are too dark for them)

In general, Rejet games are very unlikely to ever be localized, as Rejet isn’t interested in an overseas audience for their games (to the best of my knowledge.) I’ll be happy to be proven wrong, buuuut I doubt we’ll ever see more than fan translations.Anyway, I’d be happy to do a translation of LH after I’m done with BN, especially if you can send me the scripts, but I don’t actually know how to program a patch or any of that - I can only translate. So I would need someone who knows how to make a patch for the PSP to help me.

i like watching reaction videos and essays to/about games and cartoons, or someone reading/reacting to some reddit threads with memes, lgbtq+ stuff, laughing at bigots (them being proven wrong); i like listening to electronic music/game osts, and singing/humming it too sometimes; i like categorising things like finding pretty gems, flowers, tunes, classpects, or other things and assigning them to my friends or else; i often stay up very late (early?) to get more alone/own time to myself and relax/enjoy; i also like learning about cooking and space/science and veterinary stuff and just how things work through reality/tv shows or youtube channels of people knowledgeable in those things; also searching some things online to help my friends!

mm, i see myself as someone who's doing more (over)thinking and observing than action, and has a hard time making own changes especially without guidance/assistance; i feel like i'm simultaneously both sensitive/emotional, and neutral/apathetic towards a lot of things; thought i'd also like to think/believe that i'm kind, always trying to do or say something nice for others and reassure/support them, and explain things because it's okay to not know something

How do you think others see you?

outside of the internet - probably weird/strange or lazy, and i worry about someone thinking i'm cringe or inadequate; my friends probably think i'm alright/not bad, but i also worry about them thinking more highly of me than i actually am, and getting disappointed; i don't tell/show others much (i think?), so i feel like people might see or interpret me in different ways

How do you interact with your friends?

i usually chat online (i don't message them first very often), i listen to them talk about things and what they're up to (i rarely talk about myself), and try to help them with anything they might be dealing with, or cheer and support/say something kind; i tend to be awkward and feel like i might be inadequate, and i sometimes feel unsure about how close/good we actually are, but when they say something kind/sweet towards me i tend to melt like "awww, (u really mean it/think so? (•́ ‿ ,•̀) )";

What’s important to you? (Specific people, ideas, morals, objects, ect.)

hmm, my friends, and making sure that they are feeling/doing alright; also having some uninterrupted alone time to myself, having good/ok internet to have access to new content; morally maybe for other people to feel comfortable and okay too; also kindness and reassurance, being gentle with people, and reminding to them that they are good and important and wonderful

Describe the ideal you, what kind of person do you strive to be?

probably a more active and honest/open one, more independent and not as scared of change or of doing unfamiliar things, more easygoing and outgoing and relaxed and unbothered by what others might think, and just able to enjoy things more; someone who can help and comfort people and knows what to say/do when they're struggling; also cool but still kind/soft, maybe some kind of ambiguous blorbo :) /lh
