I started my Wyll Origin playthrough and keep getting ambushed by feelings over the way random generic things apply to him specifically

Given that there's no Blade of Frontiers already at the Emerald Grove when you arrive, Wyll is now the One and Only Hope of all of the tieflings. There's no "welcome! join the sweet young man patiently training the kids how to defend themselves and giving inspiring speeches in the back." You walk into a pit of despair and the full responsibility for brightening it falls to you. I found myself doubling down on his Blade of Frontiers Hero persona and taking on the responsibility to charm and cheer every single person I came across. (it's working, I actually got Rolan to stay this time!)

When Auntie Ethel started to fuss over him I thought of how hungry he must be for even a scrap of that kind of parental/familial affection... :(( How that brief exchange must have made his heart ache...

I am not using to having this abysmally low perception and got my pockets picked by the tief kiddos and their Magic Ring stand. Wyll was gamely playing along because he is the Sweetest Young Man and OH NO backfired!! ...And then I remember that of course Wyll has low perception, he only has one eye and the prosthetic is solely for spying on him. :( :( :(

...But then he charmed Mol and the thief kiddos into giving his stuff back for free. Perhaps they sensed how sincerely he wants to protect them and what he'd risk to do so.
