Hey , your latest jump scare fic is so funny. It made my day. I couldn't stop laughing. Hope you write more of platonic Kyra and reader being a pest to everyone in the arsenal team but also the arsenal women team couldn't live without their two pests
INCOMPLETE — arsenal wfc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
masterlist
"I'M BACK BITCHES!!" you cheered as you walked through the changing room doors, big smiles had been plastered around the room at your entrance. the girls may not like to admit it out loud very often but they had missed you.
"language y/n"
you hadn't been in training last week, you'd been on house arrest, okay not really but you had been studying for an exam you had. but it basically felt like house arrest to you anyway. sitting still and having to be serious was not your strongest suit.
but you were back!
you did your rounds as each girl greeted you most engulfing you in a tight hug, "yep, meado i do actually need to breathe!" you stutter out as it felt as though the girl was about to squeeze your lungs out your chest.
"sorry kiddo, it's just been so quiet without you!”
"and boring by the sounds of it" you said smugly as you had been filled in with what you had missed out on in the week you'd not been there.
kyra had been telling you at the end of each day what had happened and by the sounds of it, it had been a pretty plain week. boring like a white dull wall and no fun at all. it boosting you ego probably more than it should that you were the source of fun around the training ground.
as you made your round and finally to leah, who looked at you with a blank smile. giving you a small hug as you looked at her, not being able to take her seriously as you giggled a little. the blonde being slightly confused as the signature frown appeared.
"don't pretend like you haven't missed me- even kim had a brighter smile than that!" you pointed to the blondes face as leah began to lace her boots up. you were just seeing how far you could wind the blonde up.
leah always had been your target to wind up as out of everyone she was the one who you could tick of easiest.
"it was like i was in heaven" leah joked as you rolled your eyes already having your retaliation ready.
"oh give it up lord farquaad, i heard about you saying you felt incomplete without me!" you smiled smugly as the blonde glared at you shaking her head at the nickname.
a one you and kyra had came up with after the blondes recent haircut, but unluckily for leah it had rubbed off on the team as some of the girls had resulted in calling her that too.
“no, no! no. it’s been twisted! i said that the team was incomplete cause you weren’t with us during the win at the weekend” leah reworded what you said, the blondes mind replaying the moment from the previous weekend in her head.
“what a good week!” beth smiled, as she swung her arm around leah’s shoulders the pair doing their lap of honour together. leah hadn’t been in the field too long still having limited minutes as she was still in light rehab for her knee.
“yep, no pranks, no cheekiness, no having to look over my shoulder every time i go somewhere, just peace.” leah sighed peacefully as a laugh came from beth. the pair walking in front of kyra and alessia who were busy giggling on at something.
“oh i know you’ve missed y/n more than anyone in the team” beth nudged the blonde as leah rolled her eyes playfully.
“it’s been like a mini holiday, although the team does feel incomplete without her here this week” leah admitted, while you were a right pain in her ass at times it did help to bring some excitement into the blondes life. it would be a little boring if every training session was the same.
“yeah blondie that’s literally what i said-“ you sighed, rolling your eyes at the blonde flat energy as you moved to get your own boots on, a few giggles being spread around the changing room from the team at the interaction.
it was now the time of the day where players would get treatment if they needed/wanted it while others would have meetings or media etc to do.
you were just wondering around, having finished your meetings for the day. but you did have one thing you wanted to complete today and that was prank leah.
you were flying alone on this prank, kyra being stuck in media appearances and meetings all afternoon. so it meant you didn’t have an accomplish, it was just you.
you passed the medical room, glancing in to see who was in there. laura was getting another dressing put on her knee, beth was in there, so was alessia who was getting some sort of massage, and so was leah who just so happened to be having a nap as she had her knee in some heat rehab thing.
bingo! the perfect opportunity.
you wondered in so innocent looking around to see if you could find anything, well the item you were looking for. and there it was in the bench at the side. a black sharpie.
“what are you up to trouble-“ beth began with a smirk knowing you were up to something as you quickly shushed her pointing to leah with a grin.
you carefully went over, taking the lid of the top of the pen as you hand inched closer to the blondes face. you carefully constructing a moustache drawing on leah’s upper lip. being so careful with the amount of pressure that you didn’t wake her, as her shallow breath blew onto your hand.
smiling and admiring your work as you took a step back so that beth and laura could see both gasping quietly at what you’d done but both laughing about it.
“kid she’s gonna murder you-“ beth tells you as you wave her empty threat away.
“she’ll have to catch me first!” you winked swinging out the room waving goodbye.
it had been a while since your prank on leah and you still hadn’t heard her, so you thought that maybe nobody had told her or maybe she was infact plotting your murder somewhere and she was waiting to pounce on you - now that you wouldn’t put past the blonde.
you were sat in the canteen with steph, kim and katie the three talking amongst themselves while you finished off some last minute essays on your laptop, not listening to a single word they were saying. your music drowning out their voices completely.
“Y/N!” leah screamed angrily, the threes eyes looking straight at you. your eyes widened. you heard that voice through your music, loud and clear.
“what have you done-“ kim asked but was cut off by a very angry leah williamson walking into the room, and oh boy it looks could kill let’s just say you wouldn’t be walking freely.
you thought a lecture was coming from kim as she looked between you and leah but instead just burst into laughter steph and katie joining in. leah’s frown only getting deeper — if that was even possible. the drawn on moustache making it look even more funnier.
“oh kid that is brilliant” katie laughed out loud as leah got closer you scooting further away in slight fear of what she may do.
“so brilliant that it won’t come off-“ leah scowled as you giggled hiding slightly behind you laptop.
“oh but be for real, your life would be so boring if y/n wasn’t here!” steph smiled as leah just looked on unimpressed. you were just surprised you were one still sat there in close proximity to leah and she hadn’t try to lunge at you and two that you weren’t being lectured by kim,, yet.
“like we know y/n is a menace at the best of times-“ kim began as she made a pointed look towards you, forever telling you when may need to turn your silliness down and start being a little more serious during training.
“i’m sat right here you know!” you commented as they were talking as if you weren’t in the room, let alone say across the table.
“unfortunately..” leah mumbled as you glared at her, poking your tongue at her as she looked up towards you.
“-but she keeps us on our toes and we wouldn’t trade her for anyone else” kim continued as you poured slightly at the kind words the scot was saying.
“leah may have to trade her for a scrubbing brush though..” katie trailed off as you burst into laughter at that comment, leah’s scowl coming back as she glared at the irish who for once wasn’t in the same position the blonde was currently in. the two being your usual victims of your pranks.
“kim that’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me… can i have that in writing..” you asked genuinely being serious for once as kim send a scoff your way.
“don’t push it!”
“i’ll take that as a no then..” you mumbled sinking back into your seat to carry on your assignments. the girl’s beginning to find out the best ways to get sharpie off of skin, you sitting there being no help at all.

Hey there's someone trying to say you said you were pro Israel on discord? They're anonymous and say you blocked them before they could get screenshots so I don't really believe them, but still :[
Mhm. Nice bit of news to wake up to, this.
Yeah, so this person's a troll and they're more than likely lying on purpose in order to try to me look bad because I blocked them on Twitter for being unpleasant, something I rarely even do and they're still seething about it. The block had nothing to do with Gaza, the person was just being annoying and I thought it'd be healthier to block and move on. I'd really prefer not to have to give this person energy, but if there's a rumor going around, I'd like to nip it in the bud, since it's very easy to disprove in this case.
To explain what this person's blathering about: Earlier this week, on a Phonegingi plush advert, this random user that doesn't follow me (and actually instructs fans of mine not to interact with them in their bio) made a dramatic QRT decrying me for posting a DT advert during a strike week, which I honestly had no clue it was, especially since my own timeline was (and still is) full of accounts posting normally.
Given that the person seemingly encountered one of my posts in the wild and ended up seething because of it + likely didn't want anything to do with me on their timeline (as their bio indicated), after thinking it over briefly, I did the healthy thing and just blocked the person + moved on. Makes sense, right? I'll admit: Even if the way the person approached me was regrettable, if I'd known it was a strike week, I'd have participated (as I'd participated in the last one), so I stopped posting teasers for the week anyway, only resuming again yesterday.
I'll also say: I checked my own timeline btw and looked at the accounts posting, and nobody else had anyone acting like this in their replies, even the much larger accounts. Nor did anyone else contact/reply to me in any way stating any disapproval.
Given that I've only blocked one account recently that isn't a replybot (and ofc, given the subject matter of that tweet), I'd have to assume that this is the anonymous person spreading stuff.
I'd understand where this person was coming from if maybe I'd stayed completely silent about Gaza, (which a lot of accounts I follow have) but I haven't. I had a Palestinian aid post pinned on my Twitter for weeks, I've talked about Gaza's child population and my support for South Africa's Hague suit in my discord server, I've engaged in the boycotts, wound down posting during strikes, donated a pretty substantial amount of Dialtown revenue towards sending money/esims... I have 4 bucks in my bank account right now and when my next DT check comes in, you'd better believe I'll be giving more. That's my right as a private citizen and one I'll continue to exercise.
I feel pretty uncomfortable having to put this stuff in front of me to 'prove' myself, even if some of it is public anyway. Charity should be something you do because you CARE and if it wasn't for this person, I'd have been far happier keeping a lower profile and not explicitly calling attention to my own aid, but given this ask, I feel it'd be stupid not to nip this in the bud. The majority of this information could be easily found with the tiniest amount of digging, btw, so it's not like the user couldn't have known any of this. This is the part of having a fandom that creators seldom talk about. You block one person for being a lil annoying, next thing you know, there's rumors that you support genocides! Fun.
So yeah, I'd like you to tell this person to just move on like a normal person (send them this post if you have to) and to stop spreading incorrect rumors about me out of spite. If they insist, I'm happy to pull up receipts to prove everything I've said. If they actually thought I was pro-Israel, they wouldn't be spreading it anonymously, they'd be writing another public post about the subject matter. Also if you see anyone repeating the rumor, please correct them. Thanks.

NEW YEAR, NEW MARMALADE; new year special.
Tumblr media
☆BEFORE
Synopsis: where all you and jungkook's shenanigans began.
2nd drabble; Part of the MARMALADE series.
MASTERLIST
Warnings: two tipsy goofies, unprotected sex ( don't be silly, wrap it before you tap it), spanking, fingering, pet names, denial, no thinks, not so affectionate, dirty talking.
Wc: 4.3k
18+, Minors do not interact.
It sucks how you were spending your new year's eve at home doing nothing. But you're glad at least you were living upto you new year's resolution. No parties.
You knew that there were parties happening, were you invited? No. Would you even go if you were? No, well maybe cause home is just a little boring.
You've settled to having a loner comfort night. Curled up into your couch with a blanket in your pajama shorts and a hot pizza by your side. Nothing better than this.
Ding dong.
You knit your eyebrows at the sound of the door bell. You weren't expecting anyone nor did you order anything.
You stand walking cautiously to the door, when you get to it you peep through the tiny hole. To your surprise to you see jungkook standing infront of your door, hand in his hair waiting for someone to open the door. His tattoos are perfectly on display in his black t-shirt.
Still a little confused to why he's here you open the door. Jungkook's eyes move to you as your figure comes into frame when you fully open the door.
"Hey" he says voice sure and deep.
The porch light illuminates his features well enough for you to admire, his lips look redder than usual.
"Hey" you respond a little more unsure and timid and your eyes move to the wine bottle in his hand.
"My brother isn't around" you inform "didn't he tell you?"
Your brother decided to leave you home alone and spend new year with his girlfriend out of town.  You were glad that he left so you can enjoy the new year alone.  You actually hoped to go to a party but ended up not feeling like it.
"I know" his words shock you, if he knows then what is he doing here.
"I came to see you" his sure smile and demeanour takes you back more.
You hum and nod awkwardly.
"Why?" You finally ask.
"Didn't see you at the party, so I thought you'd need some company"
"Do you mean the party I wasn't invited to?" You chuckle a bit directing for him to get in.
"What do you mean? I gave your brother the invitation" he informs you "he told me he'd give it to you." He waits for your response.
"I guess he didn't want me to go... cause he never gave it to me" you chuckle "he never liked me going going parties alone anyways"
"That's why you should give me your number so we can communicate directly" you smile at his attempt, which was kinda smooth to you.
Jungkook hums.
"Kinda sad you didn't come though" he places the bottle on your kitchen counter and his eyes meet yours. "I was hoping to see you"
Your heart thumps when he says that, you aren't sure if he means what you think but whatever he means it has your heart thumping.
You want to ask what he means but you don't want to ruin whatever you think he means.
"Do you drink?" He asks his eyes pointed to the bottle.
"Yeah I do" you pull out to wine glasses from your cabinet. Your mother insisted on you guys having those just in case, she's the care-free kind.
-
"Is it too strong?" He asks you leaning back against your couch, legs spread as he takes in his third glass of wine.
"No i-i don't think so" you stumble on your words showing the effect of the third glass on you.
Jungkook chuckles noticing how buzzed you've gotten. He himself's kinda buzzed too, he never expected wine to have such an effect on him so early on. He guesses it's cause of how comfortable he is right now.
"Why did you come here, you should've been at the party" you turn to face him.
"I came to keep you company. Plus it was boring anyways" he plays with the wine in his glass "it's good you never came"
You both laugh at that.
The party was surely boring, mostly cause his mind was so occupied with you. He'd been thinking too much about whether you were going to come and his mind ended up slipping to other thoughts of you. Like the ones of your Instagram posts. The one's you took for your birthday. By the looks of it, and by what your brother had said, you had taken a birthday trip with your friends  and those pictures were a result of it.
Jungkook couldn't stop thinking of those photos,  your thighs on display in that bikini and the sun hitting you just right. And that pretty smile of yours, that warmed his heart.
He didn't even plan on lingering or finding your pictures. They just popped up on his feed and after that he couldn't stop looking. His mind wondering too far for his liking leading him to have a very hot and needy session with himself which ended with him taking a cold shower cause he couldn't seem to reach his end. He needed you.
He knew it was wrong in some way to think of his friend's sister in this kind of way but damn he couldn't help himself. You were just what he wanted, what he needed. In more ways than one. Even though he doesn't like it and doesn't even know why.
At the party his mind was so filled with you that when yuji spoke to him, he got kinda pissed. And that's one of the reasons he left the party,  cause of yuji.
He never planned on coming here, he never thought it was a good idea but he thought about you all alone, bored at him. So he wanted to keep you some company.
"Some company huh?" you questioned.
"Yep" he turns to face you. His eyes momentarily fall onto your lips while are lightly stained by the wine.
"Its on my new year's resolution anyways" you say and he knits his brows at you.
"What is?" He asks curious.
"No going to any parties" he laughs at your statement "what im serious" you laugh back, you eye the way his arm flexes when he stretches it to run his hand through his hair.
"It's a good resolution" he sounds like he's teasing you.
"Okay. Seems like you have a better one" you raise a brow at him leaning your arm on the couch head. "What's your new year's resolution?"
"Me?" He places his hand on his chest. "I'm not the type to do that kind of thing"
"Oh come on" you roll your eyes. "Don't be like that"
"What?" He chuckles at you.
"I know you have a resolution. Even one" you lift your pointer to emphasise.
Jungkook chuckles at your bubblely talkativeness. He never knew you could be like this, maybe it's the wine.
"No I don't have any" he laughs and you shake your head.
"Okay okay" you pause placing a hand in his chest. You don't seem to realise what you're doing but jungkook does. He looks down at your hand that's still on him and it  brings a grin on his face. Makes him feel some kind of way. But he can't seem to deduce what it is. He lifts his head to stare at you and you don't seem attentive to what you're doing to him with that small touch.
"What do you want for yourself next year" you say your voice calm and you hold eye contact with him. Your eyes are genuine as you ask that question.
Jungkook puts on a thinking face as you stare at his wine stained pouty lips.
"You can tell me" your tone is warm and welcoming. He's never thought about what he wants for himself next year. He just lives life, hoping the choices come easy, which they never do. The way your eyes watch him warmly and your tone welcomes him to be able to open up, he feels like he can be open with himself and with you.
"Uhhh" he thinks "maybe to make better choices" he tells you voice calm and still in thought.  He does think he should learn to make better choices, maybe his life would be a little better.
"See thats a good start" your hand finally leaves his chest and he already misses your touch.
"Now you should keep your word" you move and reach for your glass of wine.
Jungkook places a hand on yours stopping you.
"Maybe you shouldn't drink more... you've had enough" his face is so close to yours that you can smell the wine from his breath.
"Don't you think you've had enough baby?" He says voice soft and gentle and he stares into your eyes. He doesn't know where that name came from but he said it and he doesn't regret it. The look on your face tells him you probably don't mind it too.
You don't know why but that name causes something to switch in you. With the way hes looking at you and you're currently switching to look at his lips, you can't help yourself. You're not even sure if he wants it too and you know it's probably wrong but it feels right in the moment.
With his lips so close to you you take the chance and connect your lips.  Maybe it's the wine that gave you the confidence or maybe it's just the need and desire for jungkook.  Your lips connect and it feels good, you've thought about this for some time now, but with the way he doesn't kiss you back makes you feel like you've pushed the limit.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. I-i-i shouldn't have done that" you move back.
"Maybe you were right, I shouldn't drink more" you chuckle awkwardly. You continue to mumble apologises and jungkook smirks at your mumbles.
"Shhh" you freeze when you feel his hand on your cheek. He lifts your face so you can face him.
"I liked it" He says before connecting your lips again. "You just caught me off gaurd" he smiles against your lips and your heart relaxes when he says he likes it.
You place your hands around his neck pulling him closer into your lips and hes kinda shocked by your forwardness. His lips are soft and smooth against yours, the way he pulls your lower lip makes you release a moan.
"Never thought you were the eager kind" he says leaning you back to rest your head against the couch.
You want to tell him you've thought about this before but you don't wanna make yourself seem desperate. You trap jungkook between your legs as he hovers over you.
His lips continue to move with yours in a hurried kiss, his tongue still tastes like wine which makes you pull him in closer. You hands pull at his roots and he releases a moan.
"Baby you're gonna have to go easy on me" he releases a breathy chuckle that brushes against your lips.
"I'm pretty sure you can handle it" your hands move down his chest to grab the end of his shirt.
"I can" he grinds his growing bulge against your core and you release a needy moan.
Your hands wantingly move to his belt and before you can rip it off; his hand stops you.
"Wait" he pauses and you knit your brows. "Are you sure or maybe you're just drunk"
"I'm pretty sober and sure I don't know about you?" You raise a brow at him.
"I am too" he smiles before going back to the wet and needy kiss.
You're both pretty sober. Sober enough to know that you're about to fuck your Brother's friend and for him to know he's about to fuck he's friend's sister.  But that's the last of your concerns right now, what you have in mind right now is to take off jungkook's pants.
He stands moving from you to pull off his pants fully leaving him shirtless in his briefs.
"Take those off" he nods to your bottoms and you comply quickly pulling them off. Jungkook widens his eyes when he sees you aren't wearing anything underneath.
"Commando huh?"
"It was my day of rest today" you defend as he sits himself between your thighs.
"Or maybe you were waiting for somebody?" You shake your head at his question and he smiles.
"Good" he connects your lips, immediately searching for your tongue and finding it.
Your hands caress his abs and the muscles that contract under your touch.
"Are you a..." he asks cautiously hoping you catch on.
"No. But its been a while" you tell him getting shy for the first time tonight. You haven't slept with anyone in a while, you've just been trying to pay attention to school. Maybe that's why you feel so needy for jungkook, and not that you actually feel something for him.
"Fuck" you grunt when you pull jungkook out of his briefs, hot and heavy.
"What? Are you scared?" He asks a little cheeky and proud that he had that reaction from you.  Cause he knows girls can get kinda intimidated by his him.
"No. But maybe just a bit" you stroke him a bit making him scrunch his face. How he'd love to have your hands wrapped around him forever but tonight he just needs to fuck you.
"Don't worry I'll be gentle" he whispers by your ear and brushes his tip through your folds. You release a moan hoping he doesn't tease you for long.
"But I won't promise that next time" he places open kisses on your neck.
Next time? You wonder. Does he plan on making this a routine, you don't mind though.
He continues to swipe his tip in between your folds and you honestly feel like you could finish this way but its not enough still.
"Jungkook please" you whine.
"You don't want me to prep you a bit" he moves his hands and sticks two fingers in you.  The stretch burns a little but pleasures more. He watches your face show many emotions by the the he pulls his fingers in and out. The squelching sounds make blood rush to his cock making it pulse even harder.
"Fuck baby, you're so fucking wet" he confesses by your ear but you're to lost in the pleasure to respond. Your whines and whimpers fall onto jungkook's ear. A melody to his ears.
Jungkook can feel your hole pulsate around his fingers and your moans grow louder. He knows you're close.
"Come on baby. Come over my fingers" he encourages.
Jungkook's words and the sounds in the air encourage you reach your end.
"Fuck" you moan breathless.
"Fuck is right baby" he kisses your lips. "You think you can take my cock, come for me one more time?" He asks and you nods.
"Please" is all you can say and you lock your lips with his. As your lips intertwine you can feel his tip at your entrance.
You gasp when you feel him push through.  The stretch is wider than before and it has you gripping the skin of his back.
"Shhh. Its okay" he pushes further and your slick helps him move further. He fully settles in you and stays like that for a bit getting comfortable.
Jungkook can't help but think about how warm and comfortable you feel. He's thought about this ever since he doesn't even know when. Ever since that damn Christmas party last year. He doesn't why or when it happened but you made him feel different. Looking at you that night felt different, like he wasn't looking at his friend's sister. But he can't think about that right now, maybe later. Right now you're someone he really wants. And needs.
This is really gonna help him take his mind off things and enjoy you.
"You're so freaking warm"
He doesn't even want to move,  he could stay like this forever. With his little cock sleeve to keep him warm and cozy.
"Are you gonna move or not?" You snap him out of his thoughts and he chuckles.
"Sorry got comfortable in your little pussy" you clench when he says that.
Jungkook raises a brow at that reaction.
"You like that huh?" He slips out. "You like it when I talk about this little pussy" you clench again as he moves In again. He groans at how tight you feel , the way you hold onto him for dear life.
"Fuck baby. If you hold onto me any tighter I won't last long"
You chuckle and pull his face towards yours.
"That would be a shame"
"I know,  that's why you need to open up for me"
Instead you tighten restricting his movements teasingly. You see him scrunch his face then throw a warning glare and grin at you. Knowing what you're doing you smirk and tighten even more.
"Behave yourself Y/n" he says your name pleading and desperate. You don't seem to want to obey him so he does the only thing he knows.
You gasp when a smack lands on your thighs. It stings and falls hards.
"Ouch"
"I wanted to go soft on you, but you dont seem like you deserve it" another smack lands on the same spot.
"Huh?Do you think you deserve it?" You suck in a breath as he rubs the stinging area.
"Huh?" Another one lands and the fact that he's still in you makes you clench around him. Though it feels good you just want to feel him move.
You shake your head answering his question.
"So you like being spanked as well" he moves to your ear "you're not the good girl i thought you were" he chuckles "but I don't mind."
He grips your thighs spreading them roughing and you groan. And like a maniac starts to frantically rock into you.
You can barely hold in your moans and whimpers as he drills into you mercilessly.
His name casually falls from your lips in between moans.
Jungkook wants to confess how much he's thought about this and about you. But he doesn't want to seem desperate or like he just came here to fuck you. He didn't plan on it but he couldn't say no. He just wanted to talk to you,  little did he know you also seemed to share the same thoughts. Or maybe you were just looking for a quick fuck cause you haven't had the chance to in a while. He doesn't want to think about it. Whether you're fucking for the sake of it or whether you actually feel something, he doesn't care. It'd be better if you don't think much of this anyways.
You move your hands to reach were you're both connected. Your hands start to rub circles on your bud and jungkook smacks your thigh drawing your attention.
He shakes his head. "Jungkook please" you whine.
He knows what you want, and jungkook doesn't like to take orders but he'll do it for you.
Your moans grow stronger as you feel his fingers rub circles where you need it the most. Your head beings to go dizzy with pleasure as jungkook starts to speed up.
"Fuck I'm so close" he says grunting.
"Me too" you inform.
His hips don't halt as you clench feeling your high reach.
"Fuck I'm not on birth control" you remember and inform him worriedly at the last minute. You got carried away.
"Fuck y/n" he sounds a little mad.
"Sorry"
"I'll pull out" he tells you his face scrunched up.
You grip the couch as the knot snap in you. "Shit" you moan.
"Where do you want it?" He asks rushed, you can't even think or ponder on his statement cause your brain gets foggy from the overstimulation from him chasing his own high.
"Fuck Y/n. SPEAK!" the way he grips your thighs pulls your attention. You don't get the chance to respond as he pulls put and spurts on your stomach.
"Fuck" he runs his hands through his hair. "When I ask you something, respond quickly"
He slaps your thigh.
"Otherwise next time I'm gonna put a baby in you" he grits his teeth as he stands to put on his trousers. He doesn't seem mad but maybe just a little annoyed about it.
"And we both don't want that" he throws you a tissue he got from the kitchen.
You wipe him off you and put on your bottoms.
You watch jungkook put on his shirt and the lack of a little more care and affection or even eye contact  aches you in some kind of way. You shouldn't care but you can't help but to, you hug your frame as you stand. There's still a little discomfort in between your legs but its still bare able.
You watch jungkook walk to the door and you raise your brows.
"You're leaving?" you ask timidly no longer feeling so confident. He turns his head in question.
"I mean we could finish the movie" you say trying to convince him.
"That movie's long gone y/n" he chuckles as he holds the door open and steps on the porch, you follow and place your hand on the door.
"Plus, I'm not sure when when your brother will be back so I better get going. "
You want to tell him that your brother won't be here tonight or even tomorrow but you decide to let him leave.  If he wants to he can leave you're not gonna hold him. Even though it does kinda make you feel used. Maybe it's the lover girl in you.
Jungkook notices the sad look on your face and that you're now shielding yourself from him, which makes him frown. He doesn't want to make you feel like he was using you, that's not what he was doing. He just knows that it's not best for him to stay.  He knows your brother won't be here tonight, he just used it as an excuse, he can't stay any longer that he should've. Now that he thinks about it he shouldn't have even fucked you, but he doesn't regret it still.
"I enjoyed tonight" he says hoping that lifts your spirits up.  It seems to only do half of it, and you give him a half smile.
"Me too" you say voice still shallow.
"Uhh"
He wants to say something but is interrupted by a loud pop and flash in the sky. You both watch the brightly coloured sparks spread in the sky, and the loud sound makes you jump a little but he doesn't noticed.
Jungkook hums pulling out his phone to check the date. You watch a smile pull on his face as he turns to you.
"I guess it's new year" he says trying to sound jolly and you give him the most genuine smile you have.
"Happy New year Y/n" he approaches you and places a kiss on your forehead, which he'd never do but he's just trying to make you feel better and let you know he wasn't using you.
Somehow it does give you some comfort as you take in his scent one more time, you're sure this scent's gonna linger for the rest of the night.
"Happy New year jungkook" you smile sounding a little happier.
Jungkook walks away as the fireworks still blare in the sky. You stay outside watching the sky a little longer as you wonder what the heck you just did. Did you really just fuck your Brother's friend.  What makes it worse is that it was the best fuck of your life. What a way to start the year, your friends would tap your back for this. But you don't think its anything to cheer you on for.
As jungkook drives back home he hopes you dont get carried away with this. It would make the situation even worse. He doesn't regret it, he just doesn't want to drag you along. He kind of wishes he never slept with you,  maybe he shouldn't even have visited you. But it's not your fault its his.
-
It's been like 5 days into the new year and you couldn't stop thinking about new year's eve. You still don't regret it but you're just kind of concerned whether your brother would find out.
You've tried to act like yourself and not awkward like jungkook told you to.
"Just act cool otherwise he'll notice" he says through the speaker of yaour phone.
"I'm trying" you say.
"Try harder" he chuckles and so do you.
"But what if he finds out?" you nervously say mentally biting your nails.
You hear jungkook sigh.
"Y/n" his voice drops an octave as he says your name and he gives you flashbacks of that night.
"Your brother won't find out, I promise you. That's if you don't give it away"
You hum and feel kind of reassured that jungkook won't tell. Its all up to you to not give it up.
"Do you kind of regret it" you ask softly and he seems taken aback by your question.
"Do you?"
You've been thinking about that and you're pretty sure of your answer now.
"No I don't" you bite your bottom lip. "Do you?"
Do you feel nervous asking him that? YES. Cause what if he says yes, what will you do then. You kind of don't want to hear his answer now, but it's too late you've already asked.
"No." Your heart thumps.
"But maybe I would if I couldn't still feel your pussy wrapped around my cock"  you can hear the smirk as he says that.
You smile as he says that, some how even through the phone he has you clenching around nothing.
"Good night Y/n. See you when I see you" you can literally hear him smile it's crazy.
"Have a good year jungkook" you say before cutting.
This is gonna be an interesting year for you.
I hope you all have a lovely and pleasant New year. hope you'll be with MARMALADE even next year:)
Happy new year.

It's Always Been You - Chapter 10
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
james potter x fem!reader
summary - In all the excitement—or horror, to you—of the week, including the rumors that were still spreading rapid-fire around school, or your supposed best friend James's mysteriously terrible mood, you'd almost forgotten: the time had finally come for you to go on your date in Hogsmeade.

Maybe your best friend's unexplainable foul mood had been the reason that sleep came difficult to you that night, or maybe it was the fact that the clock in your brain was counting down until the time the sun would rise. The time when morning would come and you'd take that carriage ride over to Hogsmeade with the boys like you'd promised, and have to find Sebastian to go on your date with him. Your date. It still didn't feel real.
You didn't know if anything you'd done in the past could truly be qualified as an official date, one you could refer back to that morning as you finally saw sunlight through your window and knew you'd have to get ready. Luckily, you had two of the best girls you knew for friends, and they were set on helping you.
"I'm telling you, it's the first dress." Marlene nodded her head at you with wide, excited eyes, as you held two different dresses still on hangers up to your neck. "I mean are you kidding? It's one hundred percent your color, and you look sexy as hell in it."
Your jaw dropped at her antics. "Marlene," you cooed nervously.
"I mean it. Sebastian's not gonna be able to keep his hands off of you when he sees you."
You covered your face with your hands, half because you were embarrassed, and half because you didn't need Lily and Marlene to see you spiraling at the thought of what Marlene had just suggested. You'd been so caught up with, well, everything going on, that you hadn't even considered what going on a date truly entailed. What if he wanted to kiss you?
"Then you kiss him back," Marlene said easily as you voiced your question aloud. She stopped herself. "But only if you want to, of course."
"Yeah," Lily agreed, placing down a pair of nice shoes with a short but elegant heel on them that you'd forgotten you'd owned on the floor next to you. "Only do something if you want to do it. Don't let him pressure you into doing anything you don't want to. Even if it's as simple as holding your hand."
"Thank you guys, I know." You set the dress you were planning on wearing on the bed beside you, fiddling with the hanger pensively. "Holding his hand would be nice, I think." You chewed on the inside of your cheek, sitting down on the blanketed mattress. "To be honest, I don't know what I want." The two girls came to stand closer to you as you spoke. "I mean, Sebastian's a great guy and all, but do I even know him all that well?" Your mind traveled back to all the interactions you'd had with him. "What if I only said yes to go out with him because he asked me during the middle of that prank and I panicked and-"
"You need to relax," Lily said, voice firm but comforting at the same time. "You're just freaked out because it's the morning of. You're gonna have a great time." She shrugged a shoulder. "And if things don't click, then it wasn't meant to be. It's not the end of the world. "
"Exactly," the blonde said from next to her. "Don't let Potter's nonsense-spewing mouth ruin this date for you."
You'd filled them in the night before on all that'd been going on with James for the past few days, minus the few intimate 'almosts' that you'd shared with him that'd been dangerously playing in your mind even when you begged them to stop.
"Trust me," you said. "I'm trying not to."
"I still can't believe he's acting like this." Lily shook her head agitatedly. "And just when I was starting to think he might be maturing."
You nodded grievingly. "I would defend his honor to you, Lily, but I don't feel much like doing that right now."
"Maybe it's for the best." She breathed out a dry laugh. "Anyways, I suppose," she sighed. "Are you finished in the bathroom? I need to use the loo."
You snorted. "Yeah, all yours."
She shot you an overly excited grin and slipped into the bathroom, the door shutting behind her. All the while, Marlene took a seat on the bed next to you, something glimmering behind her eyes that told you she had ideas she wanted to voice.
You stared at her half amusedly, half hesitantly. "What is it?"
"Did you ever think, during all your bickering, why Potter has such a problem with you going on this date?"
You sighed. That was all you could think about. You tipped your head at her, knowing where this conversation was going to lead. "Yeah," you said plainly. "Because he's set on the five of us spending every Hogsmeade trip together until we die."
"Or maybe," she argued, "it's because he's jealous."
You dropped your shoulders, shaking your head as you stared at her. "You're not serious."
The blonde stared back at you with an equal amount of fire. "I so am."
You laughed to yourself, perhaps deprecatingly. "The only thing James could be jealous about is the free butterbeer I'll probably be getting."
"Don't be dense."
"I'm not being dense. I'm being realistic." You puffed out a breath. "I know James. Well enough to know that, after we ..." you trailed off. "After the party, when he disappeared, he was freaked out because I'd scared him off. And he knows me too. I didn't have to tell him for him to figure out that I'd ... felt something for him. Something that he obviously was uncomfortable talking about, so I've spared him the trouble and moved on. That's the end of it." You picked up the dress you'd laid on the bed as you heard Lily washing her hands in the bathroom. "It has to be."
Marlene regarded you for a few seconds, maybe scoping out how genuine you were. "Like you said," she shrugged, "you know him best."
You nodded, ending the conversation as Lily exited the bathroom. Though the more this week went on, you believed that fact less and less.

You soon were leaving the sides of both Lily and Marlene after the walk down to the horseless carriages in front of the school, dozens of them stationed there to take everyone down to Hogsmeade.
The air was especially crisp for a September evening, making you think to yourself that maybe bringing a jacket would have been a smart choice, especially in the dress you were wearing, but your brain soon became occupied by other thoughts. Thoughts that were centered around the sight of your four friends standing around an unoccupied carriage in the distance, probably waiting for you.
You took a breath in, and then another one. You were completely devoted to ensuring this would be a drama-free carriage ride, no matter what, or who, tried to stop that from happening. You made your way over to the four boys, two of their backs turned to you. You tapped the long-haired one, of course Sirius, on the shoulder.
"You didn't think you were going to leave without me, did you?" you smirked up at him.
He had a wry smile on his face as he turned to you, surely ready with a quip to send back your way, but that smile left as he saw you, his eyes quickly scanned over you.
"Wow," he blanched. Then a sparkling grin took over his features. "You certainly clean up nice."
You crinkled your forehead at his remark and amused smirk until Remus cut in. "What he means is," corrected the sandy-haired boy from next to him. "You look beautiful. Seriously."
You felt your face begin to heat at the four pairs of eyes all now observing you as you stood there in your dress. You were surprised they weren't poking more fun at you than just Sirius's single obvious remark. You couldn't remember the last time you were this dressed up in front of them.
"Thanks," you muttered gratefully. "Now stop gushing and let's get a move on, yeah?"
Remus shook his head at your reaction but hid his laugh, taking an effortless step onto the high carriage, Peter quietly behind him. Sirius made a move to ruffle your hair, which you dodged easily and shot him a glare. He chuckled, making his way over to the carriage as well. That left only you and James.
You turned to him finally, expecting him to be avoiding your eyes as he'd done for the past few days, but instead found him looking straight at you, hazel eyes and all. You didn't know what to do under his gaze which you'd grown somewhat unused to, so you settled on doing nothing at all. You were still holding your grudge over how he'd been acting and weren't quick to forget about it. You were fully expecting him to do the same and say nothing to you at all.
"You do," he said suddenly, and at the confused quirk of your brow, softly added, "Look beautiful, I mean."
You paused, somewhat taken aback by both his words and the genuine tinge of his eyes. You didn't know how James could hold eye contact so easily, especially when he'd been so set on doing just the opposite lately.
"Oh," you voiced quietly, and couldn't help the way the corners of your lips tilted upwards. "Thanks."
He nodded wordlessly and the two of you turned back to the carriage that held your three other friends, clearly able to hear and see your conversation. You eyed the tall wooden floor of the carriage before you and then the high cut of your dress, and then your shoes. As if reading your mind, a firm hand held itself out in front of you.
You peaked your head over to the source of the hand: James, who looked at you expectantly, a certain air to him that was both light and heavy. You regarded him and his hand for a split second, deciding there was no harm in taking it, and did, your fingers slipping over his steadying palm as you took the large step into the carriage. And maybe you were imagining it, but you felt the ghost of his fingers delicately shadowing your lower back as you steadied yourself into your seat, James following from behind.
He sat across from you and you avoided looking at him as you fought reacting to the feeling that ran through you, like you were still on some kind of high from his touch. It only made you mad to think about, so you decided not to, looking elsewhere instead as the carriage began moving seemingly on its own.
It'd only taken a few moments for the Hogwarts castle to be only a beautiful shrinking sight in the distance, and for the scenery of the early fall to take over your senses instead. You were sat in front of James, who sat next to Peter, the blonde looking rather sickly and lost in troubling thoughts.
"Pete," you called curiously. "You alright? You look pale."
The boy in question turned to you with worry behind his eyes, but he only nodded. "Yeah, I'm great," he said, voice rather shaky for someone who was 'great.'
"He's just nervous about his date." Sirius reached across the carriage to pat Peter on his shoulder, shaking him a little in his frail state. "You've got nothing to be worried about, mate."
"Yeah, Sirus is right," you agreed. "Remember, she asked you out because she wanted to spend time with you as you already are. Just be yourself."
Sirius nodded, before shifting his focus to you. "And what about you? You nervous for your date with Vance?"
You shrugged. "Maybe before, but I think I'm alright now." You smiled thinly. "I already talked it out with Lily and Marlene in our dorm getting ready."
"So that's what you ladies do up there?" Sirius asked, and you frowned. "Thought there'd be more pillowfights in your underwear."
You made a nauseated expression as Sirius grinned at his own joke. "You're disgusting," you scolded, though Peter had let a smile overtake his face at the joke and you figured maybe it was worth it.
Remus was shaking his head as well from next to you, the corners of his mouth teasing upwards. You turned forward again, James straight in your line of vision, but it didn't even seem he was listening to the conversation at hand, head aimed out the side of the carriage. He looked more distant than ever as he sat tensely and you had to fight the urge to reach out to him. You knew all too well what would come from that.
You let your focus slip onto other things, like the wind that was brushing against your exposed arms and moving your hair slightly in the wind. You fought a shiver, bringing your hands up to rub at the sides of your arms—you were sure you had goosebumps.
For the second time that morning, like he was reading your mind, you watched as James held out his arm towards you, though this time he was holding something in his hand instead: his coat. It was brown on the outside, a light jacket that was lined with a soft flannel fabric, one that you always thought looked dashing on him. He looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to take it.
You faltered from surprise and then shook your head. "I'm alright," you said softly, pursing your lips.
"You're practically shivering," James pointed out, tipping out his chin at you. "Just take it."
"I don't want to take your own jacket from you, James. It's chilly."
"Exactly," he said, catching you in your lie. "And you're not taking it from me, I'm giving it to you."
You looked up from the jacket he was offering, if you could call it an offer, and at him, seeing the stubborn hold of his jaw and yet the sincere gloss of his eyes. Because you knew he wouldn't let you say no anyway now that you'd admitted it was chilly, you took it from his hand.
You wrapped the too-big coat over your shoulders, grateful but perhaps hateful of the way it immediately warmed you like the lighting of a fireplace. It smelt warm and comforting like a fireplace too, or maybe that was just the fact that it was James's jacket and he always smelled strangely nice. You blinked at yourself, chasing away your thoughts that were certainly not appropriate, considering you were currently on your way to a date with a different boy.
In all your thinking, it was like you could feel a pair of eyes on you. You looked up again, but James already had gone back to staring out at the moving scenery. You couldn't read him right then, and if there was anything you'd learned about James from all the years you'd known him, it was that you could always read him, even when others couldn't. The fact that you hadn't been able to read him for days was worrying you sick and setting you off all at once. You just wished you could get inside his head.
You sighed, your eyes shifting over to Remus, who was giving you the oddest of looks. The corners of his eyes crinkled, though his lips stayed shut together. You raised a brow and he only shrugged, looking away again. You really needed to get inside that boy's head, too.
Before you could even mull over the different possibilities of ways that your up-and-coming date could go wrong, a habit of your mind that you hated, the carriage had pulled up into Hogsmeade. It came to a slow stop next to the uniquely shaped brick buildings you'd become all too familiar with over the years. That didn't take away from the excitement bubbling inside your stomach—or maybe that was nervousness; you couldn't tell anymore.
All five of you exited the carriage, James offering you his hand again as you took the big step onto the ground. You were growing too frustrated to even consider the feeling of your hand in his larger one that somehow was still as warm as the jacket you wore. How he could be so sweet yet so aggravatingly aloof you didn't know, but you forced your mind off the topic once again. Only, you couldn't force thoughts of James away completely, because he was calling your name as soon as you'd walked past him.
Your head turned to him so swiftly it almost made you dizzy. He was standing there along the side of a building you identified as The Three Broomsticks, hands now shoved into his trouser pockets with his head slightly tipped forward, though he stood up straighter as you made your way to him.
"Yeah?" you questioned, and maybe your tone was testy, but you didn't have it in you to alter it for his sake.
James shifted his footing underneath your gaze, taking a moment before speaking. "I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry."
The pull of your brows let up at his words and you observed his facial expressions shamelessly, sorting through what to say. Luckily, he spoke again before you could.
"I'm sorry for making you take the carriage ride into Hogsmeade with the rest of us. You should've just gone with your date. I was just in an ... off mood last night. Didn't mean to take it out on you."
And just like that, the hope you were harboring when James had first uttered the word 'sorry' had bubbled and churned inside of you until all that was left was dissatisfaction.
"Is that all?" you questioned.
James's lips parted. "What?"
"I mean, I'm grateful for your apology," you breathed the word like it left a foul taste in your mouth. "But is there anything else you'd like to talk about? Apologize for?"
James scratched his head almost comically, and you laughed without any humor as you began to turn around. Before you could take a single step, James grasped your wrist in his fingertips, and you fought not to notice how feather-light he held onto you.
"Like what?" he asked you, and at your stone expression he dropped your hand. "Please," he insisted.
You swallowed and shrugged up your shoulders irritatedly. "Oh, I don't know James, maybe the fact that you've been acting 'off' this whole week and won't say a word as to why?" You took the hand he'd held and put it to your forehead. "I've probably asked you if you were okay about a dozen times and all you can say to me is that you're 'fine' when you're clearly ticked off."
"Because that's the truth," James insisted.
"Please," you remarked. "It's not the truth. Don't lie to me, James. I know you. Better than anyone else, and I know when you're upset about something."
"I'm not upset, alright?" James squinted at you. "Why can't you just let it go?"
"Because!" You took a breath in, trying to calm yourself because this was not the drama-free morning you wanted to have. "Because, every time I've been down, which has been too many times to count, you've been there for me. Always."
You thought back to the night you realized you loved him as more than just a friend, when he'd comforted you through your tears so quickly and sweetly, and it only made you feel more exasperated.
"So I'm not just going to 'let it go' when something's so obviously bothering you, enough to make you act completely differently to the point where you won't even talk to me." You paused, noticing the sinking in James's gaze the more you spoke. "And quite frankly," you continued, "it hurts like hell that you don't think you can tell me what's been going on, because you can. We're supposed to be best friends, remember?"
James let out a low breath, somewhere between a laugh and a scoff that had your forehead pulling. "Trust me, I remember."
"Then why the hell won't you just talk to me?" Your palms were facing him, telling him it was his move, his turn to try and fix things.
"Because there's nothing to say." He'd thrown away his turn without a second glance, running a fast hand through his hair. "God, this was a mistake. Every time I talk to you, I just-" he stopped himself.
Your heart was beating hard in your chest. "You just what?"
James shook his stubborn head, a muscle in his jaw noticeably flexing. "Nothing, alright?" He looked upwards, like he was battling something greater than him, and began walking towards wherever the hell James Potter went when he didn't want to talk to you. You weren't going to let him.
"How long are you going to keep doing this for, James?" He halted his steps, turning his head back towards you with a rigid look in his eyes. "How long are you going to avoid me?"
"Avoid you?" he laughed, and you froze. "That's rich, coming from you of all people."
You clamped your jaw shut for a beat, blinking at him as your mind started to spin. "What are you talking about?" You knew exactly what he was talking about.
"I'm talking about when you were avoiding me just a few days ago. Ring a bell?"
You lowered your gaze, confidence stuttering. You didn't respond.
"I mean, you wouldn't even partner with me Defense Against the Dark Arts, for Merlin's sake."
"That was different," you argued, though you were ashamed of how pathetic the words sounded coming from your lips.
"How?" James asked, staring at you fearlessly now with raised, expectant brows and an unmoving jaw.
"It ... it just is!" You looked away. "We're getting off track. My point was that ... I just miss you, James." The irony of your warm words contrasted with the angry shake of your lips didn't escape you. "I miss the James who wouldn't push me away every time I tried to have a conversation with him, or who wouldn't act like a bloody child every time I mention I'm going on a date."
If you thought you saw a crack of guilt racking James's expression, there was no trace of it now.
"Oh yeah?" he questioned, his tone colder than you'd ever heard it. "I'm sorry I don't like talking about your beloved Sebastian every five minutes."
"Well it's not like I can talk to you about anything else, can I?" Your heart was thumping in your chest and you felt like crying. "You know what?" You chewed on the inside of your cheek, turning away. "I give up! Let's just talk whenever you're ready to be honest with me."
Your back was to him when he shouted, "You want me to be honest?" You scoffed, nodding your head. "That's what you want?" he repeated.
"Yes James!" you shouted. "That's exactly what I want!"
"Well then, fine!" He wiped a desperate hand over his face, throwing up his arms. "We kissed, alright?"
Your heart sizzled somewhere in your chest beneath your stilled lungs, every part of you halting its movements. Your expression fell slowly and you blinked at him, staring wordlessly for a moment. "What?"
James stared back at you, looking at you more than he'd looked at you in the past week altogether. The opposite of yours, his chest heaved up and down like he'd been fighting for air and could only now come up for oxygen. He didn't look like he'd misspoken and that scared you more than anything.
"We kissed. Last week. At the party."
Your lips hung, parted and confused. "What are you-"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. We kissed, and you ran off, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since."
Your eyes felt like they had a mind of their own, scanning rapidly over James and then looking at the ground, your heeled shoes, anywhere but at him because your world was shifting around you, the walls of what you thought you knew crumbling down on you.
You swallowed, throat going dry. "James," you voiced carefully. "That kiss was ..." you shook your head. "We were playing a game."
Maybe he would take the slowness of your words for sureness rather than struggle, because that along with seemingly every other emotion was what you were feeling inside.
"No, c'mon. Don't do that." James shook his head back at you and you felt like running away, but you couldn't now. Not when he was looking at you like that. "Don't try and make it seem like that was all it was, because it wasn't. Not for me, and I know it meant more to you too."
The cool breeze from before had picked up and was turning into an inexorable wind that made you feel worse than you already did. Could he see the way you had to stop yourself from shaking? Hear the way you willed your heartbeat to stop pounding? Clearly not, because he kept talking.
"For days, weeks even, all that's been on my mind was you. Do you know how hard it is to get anything done when all I can think about is my best friend kissing me?"
You felt dizzy with the way he was staring into your eyes. Like you'd voiced to yourself a million times, how James held eye contact so effortlessly was a mystery you'd never find the answer to.
"And I know you said you wanted to just pretend like the kiss never happened, but you should know that I can't do that, alright? Trust me. I've tried, and obviously that didn't work." He ran a hand through his tousled hair again. "So I just ... I need you to say something to me. Anything."
You willed yourself to speak again, blood rushing past your ears now. "I ... I don't know what to say. It was a part of a game."
James practically flinched. "Anything but that." He breathed out a laugh without any chest, tipping his head back and taking steps around. "God."
You still felt like crying, because nothing was making sense. Then James refocused on you, and you felt pinned underneath his gaze.
"You can tell me it was part of a game however many times you want." His words were achingly slow and desperate. "But tell me ... just tell me you didn't feel anything when we kissed. That it meant absolutely nothing to you, and I'll stop talking. I promise."
You knew he meant what he said; you could see it all through his hazel eyes. You'd asked for honesty and you'd gotten it. You knew that you couldn't lie to him anymore, and you said your truth with your voice was on the verge of breaking.
"I can't." Even if your voice shook, James heard it loud and clear. He stopped moving and stepped closer to you whether he noticed or not. "But that doesn't mean it can mean anything now."
If it was possible, he went even more still. His eyes pleaded with you to say more to him, so you did. "It's not fair, James." Your voice broke off, and James took both your hands in his, and held them tight near his chest, like hope pumped through them.
"What? What's not fair, Love?"
You flinched at the name you hadn't heard in seemingly forever, but it pinched at the part of your brain that remembered it vividly. You didn't know how this moment was real. You looked down at his hands that engulfed yours. "It's not fair that it meant something, because it can't."
You pretended not to notice the way James's hands loosened their hold. "Not when-" your voice hitched at the sign of your eyes blurring despite how much you'd willed them not to. "Not after I spent months—years, even—trying to make every interaction between us mean something. After I spent all that time trying to get over you! It- it's not fair, and I won't do it. I won't."
You shook your head timidly and repeatedly like it would stop what was happening. You didn't know when you and James had moved away from each other, probably somewhere between your voice breaking and your eyes watering, but you had. But that wasn't was most important.
James had gone eerily still, painfully silent. That didn't change the fact that his unforgiving eyes continued to search what seemed like every inch of your face. His voice rang out lowly.
"Get over me?" His heavy brows furrowed in hurt and bewilderment. "Wh-" he choked. "What do you mean 'get over me'?"
You put a hand to your head, amused in your disbelief. "Like you haven't known."
James took a persistent step forward, the pinch between his brows desperate. "What the hell are you talking about?"
This all felt like a bad dream you couldn't wake up from. You forced yourself to breathe. "I really can't do this right now, I-" You didn't think you could do it ever. You pulled at the hem of your dress. "I have a date."
Even with the wind whipping against you both, you'd never heard a silence like the one you did right then.
"You're really still going on that date?" James peered at you interrogatingly, his eyes slightly red now, and it killed you.
"What am I supposed to do, James?"
You wiped at your nose. James's hands were elevated at his sides like he wanted to reach out to you, but didn't. He looked like he didn't know what he wanted to do, but he didn't stop.
"You can't just go running away all because ..." he panted, "because..." His voice trailed off.
You wanted to shout at him that all you'd done since forever was stop yourself from running away, but you didn't. It wasn't his fault you'd tortured yourself all these years. But that didn't mean he could get his happy ending with the snap of his fingers, either.
Just to twist the knife in your chest, he whispered, "Please."
You dropped your gaze low to the cobblestone ground beneath your feet, blurry now through your lashes. "I need to go." The sight of him standing before you, eyes watery and lips parted helplessly, sent painful pangs through your heart. You moved your head, willing yourself to turn away and your legs to move. You didn't think you could leave if you looked him in the eyes. "I'm sorry."
Those same eyes followed you as you walked down the path, head hung low but steps quickening despite. Steps taken in the direction of The Three Broomsticks, where you'd go on your date with Sebastian. Your mind kicked and screamed at you at every step, but you couldn't get them to stop.
You felt James's eyes on your retreating form like you felt the wind snapping against your cheeks, though you didn't turn back to look at him. That way, he wouldn't be able to see the way your expression shook at the effort of just trying to keep yourself together.

Hey girlie me again! I had an idea based off this post I saw where it was a yearbook spread for hellfire. I don’t remember who posted it but all credit to them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway what about reader in the yearbook club who was assigned to make the hellfire spread, and of course Eddie is super over the top and and eccentric when reader comes by to take the photos not just because he wants to look good in them but also because he has a crush on the reader and wants them to be impressed by him.
Warnings: Eddie Smokes a Cigarette, Cursing, Kissing
-So, when Eddie finds out someone from yearbook will be dropping in on his campaign after school, the club immediately knows to expect rampant mischief from him.
-He's definitely going to be on his worst behavior.
-The year before, Nancy Wheeler had been stuck with the task of documenting the club for the yearbook. This year, she'd only been convinced to join photography after Mrs. O'Donnell had promised she wouldn't be assigned Hellfire.
-Eddie had taken particular pride in that. He knows he was doing something right if preps were making their teachers swear they wouldn't have to interact with him.
-He didn't expected it to be you, this time. He didn't even know you were in yearbook.
-Definitely a pleasant surprise.
-Club has already started when you wander in and you give him an apologetic smile.
-He looks really hot djdbdn he's just draped across his throne, his leg thrown over the arm of it.
-He looks you up and down the way a lion looks at a gazelle and he's just got the most wicked smirk playing at his face.
-"Well, hello..."
-The boys knew he'd be in a mood. Of course he's going to put on a good show in front of company, right? But you? Eddie had had his eye on you since Freshman year.
-They'd better hang onto their hats because Hurricane Munson is headed their way.
-Eddie grabs a chair and pulls it right up next to his, giving you a playful bow.
-You giggle and it's just,,,, infuriatingly cute.
-"Why thank you, kind sir!"
-He sits beside you and watches as you fiddle with your camera. "I never pinned you as a photographer, L/N."
-You give him a knowing smile and adjust the lens. "Yeah? Why's that?"
- "I admire your modesty..." Eddie bites his lip teasingly,  "But, shit. A pretty little thing like you behind the camera? Doesn't seem right. "
-The boys groan, which only made Eddie's smile grow. You laugh, shaking your head.
-"How'd you get stuck with us anyway?" He pulls a funny face as you take a few test shots.  "Lose a bet?"
-"Oh...I um..." You glance up, looking around at the expectant boys. "I actually requested to do Hellfire's page."
-His brows raise, "No kidding?"
-"I thought it'd be fun."
-Eddie lets his eyes wander over you.
-"It certainly will be."
-Eddie feels like a god among men as you carefully watch his campaign unfold, snapping photos of him all along the way.
-He performs, keeping the boys on a string with suspense as he weaves his tale. The room is tense as he speaks, his voice dark and quiet. "The hooded cultists chant...Hail. Lord. Venca."
-Mike Wheeler's eyes go big. He squirms nervously as Eddie repeats the chant, his expression cold.
-You'd asked before the game started if they had any additional lighting you could use. Eddie had chuckled, tossing Gareth his lighter and telling him to light a few of the candles they had set up around the table.
-His chunky silver rings glint in the flame light now as he gestures vaguely through the scene,  "They turn to you...remove their hoods. You recognize most of them from Mokbar. But there's one you do not recognize..."
-Dustin's eyes are so wide now that you're sure  they're going to fall out of his head. Eddie meets his gaze, toying with him. "His skin...shriveled. Desiccated..." The table flinches as he leans forward.
-You hear Lucas give a soft curse under his breath, horror in his eyes.
-"There's something else..."
-Your own heart stills a little as you feel the weight of the scenario.
-Eddie hides an arm behind his back. "He's not only missing his left arm...but his left eye!"
-Dustin screams, as if his actual life is in danger. "No! No!!"
-He stands, covering his eye with one hand as the boys erupt into argument, hitting their fists against the table and yelling loudly. Mike jumps up, pressing his finger tip against the table in accusation, "He was killed by Kas!"
- "So it was thought, my friend. But Vecna lives!" He crows like a rooster, dramatically wielding a silver figurine and placing it dead center in front of him.
-You giggle, and Eddie shoots you a wink as you catch the party's reaction to the bomb their Dungeon Master just dropped.
-By the end of the night, you have three times the number of pictures that could ever dream of fitting in the spread.
-Eddie laughing maniacally from behind his books as the boys cry out in anguish. Dustin speaking with pure conviction as the group huddle discussed their next move. Lucas Sinclair grinning after the final roll, triumph written all over his face.
-Every shot is golden.
-Eddie passes you your backpack as the room clears, and he smirks as he asks you if you want to go for a cigarette with him in the parking lot.
-He walks you out to your car and the whole time you're recounting your favorite moments from the night and gushing over the campaign. He's blushing wildly, hiding his face when he exhales smoke over his shoulder.
-"We've always got room for one more, you know..." He ashes the cig as you lean against the side of your car. "If you wanted to make this a weekly thing." He shot you a wink.
-"I...I think I'd like that." You're bright red. There's a silence.
-Eddie drops the butt, crushing it beneath his sneaker, and wanders over to you. Your breath stutters as he hooks his fingers in your belt loops, lazily pressing you  between his body and the driver's side door.
-He smirks at the sound, tilting your chin up with his fingertips to make your eyes meet his. His thumb drags over your jaw. "I'll make you a shirt."
-You grin, "Yeah?"
-"Mh-hm..."
-Your eyelashes flutter at the feeling of his breath against your lips.
- He swallows thickly, taking his time as he laces his finger in your hair and tugs gently. Your head lulls back obediently.
-His breath is hot where it fans over your skin. He nuzzles his nose to your throat. "What do you think of me?"
-his voice is so raspy you just hnggg
-"I...I think you're not as scary as you think you are."
-"Yeah?" You feel him chuckle, lips teasing at the delicate skin. "What else?"
- "I think you're..." Your brain scrambles for words as he presses a soft kiss beneath your ear. "Pretty."
-He holds you as he finally kisses you there, his lips warm and lovely as he sucks a small purple mark into your neck. He laves his tongue over the sting, soothing it as he coaxes the strap of your camera from your shoulder.
-He hums, giving a knowing smile, and you gasp quietly as he grazes his teeth over your pulse. You feel faint.
-You watch with blown pupils as he puts it around his own neck, lifting it to his eye and tilting your head.
-He snaps a picture of the mark he's left on you, calmly replacing the camera around your shoulder.
-He pecks your lips, chaste and short, "That's for the yearbook."
-You open your mouth to respond, but he's already strolling towards his van, calling out to you. "I'll see you next week!"
-You're left there at a loss for words, your neck still tingling as you try and put together what the hell just happened.

Meant To Be || One For Every Billion
6. By My Side | Pt 4
"You've got to be kidding me."
Your group has already grabbed a table on the second floor balcony, overlooking the crowded paths below, at one of the nicer restaurants at the heart of the park's main food district and you've been checking updates on your phone after messaging Tobio and Hiro when Oikawa's unamused voice breaks through your thoughts.
You glance up to your left at him to see a look of disbelief on his face and when you follow his line of sight, you see the two stragglers everyone has been waiting on heading your way, weaving through the tables to reach you all.
"Tobio!" A smile breaks across your face at your cousin's grumpy visage. He seems a little closed off, studying the additions to your group with what you think is apprehension.
"Tobio?" Toru's head literally snaps towards you in question.
You turn to him as Tobio and Hiro come to a stop and pull out the two empty chairs at your table.
You hear Iwa murmur a low, "Oh shit." but you have to dismiss it because you're clearly missing something.
"Yeah," you watch Toru with a question in your own eyes, "My cousin, Kageyama Tobio. And Hiro, Hana's brother.."
Iwaizumi is actually facepalming while Maki and Mattsun are chuckling, but you can't see what's so funny so you continue with the introductions, "Tobio, this is-"
"We already know each other, Y/n. I went to school with Oikawa-san and Iwaizumi-san until they graduated this year."
Okay, small world. All you can really say while you digest this information is, "Oh."
But then, "Hiro doesn't know them... right?"
"No, not yet!" Hana's a lifesaver that steps in to make introductions with the rest of the guys while you chew it over. There's clearly history here, right?
Then, you kind of get an answer because Toru turns to speak with you while the others greet each other, "So let me get this straight. Ushiwaka and Tobio-chan are both your cousins?"
"Um. Yeah. Pretty much." You watch his eyes narrow on your response.
"Pretty much?"
"Yeah, Tobio's actually Shin's cousin but they're both more like brothers to me. I guess it's the same situation with Toshi but on my dad's side... we're not directly related either."
You can see the understanding light up his eyes for a moment, "You choose them, huh? As family?"
"Exactly."
"Interesting taste. So family but not."
"No. They're definitely my family, no question. Nothing will ever change that."
You and Toru stare at each other for a moment as you both try to work out what's going on in the other's head and where the lines are. When he doesn't reply back, you raise an eyebrow and prompt, "So.. you and Tobio..?"
He lets out a laugh that might be just a little bitter, "Please, there's no me and Tobio."
"Hm." You let it sit there because you're not one to pry more than that when someone is clearly somewhat unhappy. You'll get it out of Tobio later anyways.
And, cue lightbulb, "You were on the volleyball team together."
A cavalier smile spreads across his face at your question, it's definitely not sweet, teasing, or nice. It seems carefree but the expression in his eyes is almost telling you to back off. However, he still answers, "We were on the same team once, sure."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"Yeah." You smile with what you hope is the kindness you want to relay and not the awkward uncertainty you're feeling, "Why? Do you have more you want to say?"
He studies you a moment longer before turning away to pick up his menu and study it instead. You still hear his quiet answer, "No."
You look away as well and your eyes fall over Tobio, who's looking back at you. His expressionless gaze doesn't convey much but, for once, even you can't read beneath it, and then the connection's cut when he glances away to the rides in the distance.
Okay.
The lunch goes surprisingly well considering the amount of tension around the table at the start. Mostly between Toru and Tobio, but even Iwaizumi seems more... engaged in the situation. Everyone else continues to get along fairly well and make up for those three, however, and the atmosphere eases out eventually. It probably helps that Tobio is quiet as per usual and Toru is unerringly good at pretending all is well in Oikawa-land.
When everyone heads out for the rest of the rides, you do catch Toru watching you interact with Tobio and Shin but you don't know what's so curious about your relationship with your cousins. What you do think is curious is his interest and attention when you're joking around with Karu or talking to Hiro. See, he doesn't seem to mind if you sit with your cousins, his friends or Hana, but somehow always manages to slip into the seat next to you if it looks like one of Hana's brothers will.
It's so obvious that you can't help but bring it up as you exit the picture booth at one of the rides, "Not that I should have to ask you permission, but are you going to let me sit with Karu or Hiro?"
"Do you want to sit with one of them?"
"Don't answer my question with a question."
"I like having you by my side."
"Still not an answer to my original question."
"Do you not want me next to you?"
"Stop avoiding my question or I'm going to assume you're jealous."
"Sounds like you want me to be jealous."
"I didn't say that."
"You also didn't deny it, Angel."
"Toru." You mean to admonish him for the little games he's playing but when his first name slips out and you see the wide grin start to spread across his face, you have to close your eyes in defeat.
It's with your eyes closed, as you're taking a breath to find your calm, you hear a soft smile in his voice as he calls to you, "Y/n."
And when you open your eyes he's holding up a printed picture from the ride you were just on. You and Toru are sitting next to each other, your hands interlocked between you again and you're trying to hold your hair down with your free hand, while strands still fly everywhere from the wind, to look over at him. Your expressions are caught in that moment, now eternal, as you're laughing at the cute pose he's trying to make for the picture but he's looking back at you and not the camera, with the happiest grin on his face.
"Why this one out of all the others?"
"I've been getting those too, just electronically. I wanted you to have this one."
"It's for me?"
"So you can remember how much I like you by my side."
You can only smile and take the picture from him, responding with a soft,  "Thank you."
"Say my name again, Angel."
"Oikawa."
"My first name."
"No."
"Please." He's giving you the cutest puppy eyes, but-
"I said no." And you turn to walk away before he can actually convince you, the smile still stretching your lips as you carefully tuck the picture into the hidden pocket, between your phone and cards to keep it from crumpling as much as possible.
-x-x-x-
Your group and Toru's end up going separate ways after an early dinner, which Miwa and her friend joined you all for. She got along famously with the unexpected additions to the group which you found pretty ironic. So did Toru, you guess, since he made it a point to state his delight at meeting a better Kageyama. No comment, you're biased.
You did have to promise Toru that you'd see him again before you left the park which, oopsie, you guess you never mentioned you'd also booked rooms to stay overnight. Haha. Yeah. You wonder if that means you can message him in the morning?
No, he'd just message you tonight if you don't first. He's already texting every so often and it's just been about fifteen minutes since you both went separate ways. So you end up texting him back to promise you'll see him in an hour or so, after some quality time with your cousins.
Back with the original group consisting of just your family, you all head over to one of the themed lounges to grab desserts and drinks. Tobio, of course, sticks with milk, while Miwa is all about getting her drink on with Sakepolitans - a cosmo made with sake.
Ren manages to convince her to order him an old fashioned or two, stating he's almost legal anyways - you roll your eyes at that - but you and Shin decide to experiment with the house recommendations. He goes with the Uji Matcha Latte while you go your typically coffee route with the café mocha.
An hour flies by fast as you all catch up on your day and make plans for the next but, by the end of it, Miwa is definitely in need of a bed, maybe with a trashcan by the side, and Tobio might actually be asleep on the table.
After telling Shin to stick with you and Tobio, Ren hauls Miwa away to get some sleep, letting you both know he'll be meeting back up with his friends after she's tucked in so to call if any of you need him. He does hesitate briefly, glancing between you and Shin, and you swear he mutters, "Just how much trouble can they get into here?" before shaking his head and leaving.
Hm. You throw a look over to Shin as he shakes Tobio awake and state, "Why don't you get him back to his room while I finish my coffee?"
He eyes you warily, considering your offer, "Right. Like you'll go to your room straight after?"
"What? Don't tell me you're not meeting up with Karu after you drop Tobio to bed."
His mouth opens but literally no words come out. Yeah, that's what you thought.
"What about you? Meeting up with your boyfriend?" Never mind, he found his words. Well, you can too.
"Why do sound like a elementary school kid? Oh right, emotionally you are one."
"I'm telling Ren that you're sneaking out." Rat. He would never, would he?
"You're literally just proving my point. Please, keep going."
"Why are you like this?" Ah, there's the crack. But you need to push a little more.
You lean back with a mocking smile, "Better than you at everything?"
Yup, now he's pouting. "Mean."
"It's genetic. You should know, you are too."
"Wow, I can't believe we're related."
"Me neither. Now, should I let you do your thing and have fun with your friend? Or do we call Ren and both end up stuck in our rooms for the night."
"How do you always...? Never mind." He grimaces in complete defeat, "Fine. Just keep your phone on and answer me right back if I message or call."
He's about to turn away but stops and adds, "And obviously old rules apply. You call immediately if you run into Ren so I can have my story together or make sure I'm back."
"Obviously." You smirk up at him over the mug before taking a sip.
But he didn't even have to say it. Whatever shit the two of you pull on each other, you also have each others backs when it counts. Especially with your older siblings. That was the pact those of you within a one to two year age range made with each other when you were all kids, as if any of you even had to. It's kind of cute you guess, but you'd never say that to any of them or they'd never stop harassing you.
As he heads off, you pull out your phone to message Toru and then decide to drop a picture of your drink on your twitter while you wait for his response. Which is unnecessary because the boy responds almost immediately. What, was he waiting by his phone?

Together we go. (Werewolf!Caesar Raphael x Reader *AU*)
Tumblr media
Lol it's never late to request I'm always late to write tho
Requested: 34. "Please don't do this." + 45. "I can't imagine this world without you." From this prompt list.
Genre: Raw angst 😂💯 happy ending though cuz I’m weak
Strap yourselves in cuz this is dramatic as shit and also I’m lowkey rusty sooooo yeah 😂
(First point of view)
Everytime our eyes meet, my insides twist in guilt. I can barely hold his gaze for longer than a few seconds.
“Can we please get some ice cream first?” Caesar gives me his usual puppy eyes- aka the most effective puppy eyes one could ever encounter. I can almost see his tail wagging behind him in excitement.
I giggle at the cute nature of the scene. “Of course.”
He grins, immediately grabbing my arm and rushing to the ice cream truck. I do my best to keep up with him and not break my face on the asphalt.
It was Caesar’s first time at a theme park, and he was overflowing with happiness to say the least; he genuinely resembled a large puppy.
Though Caesar always insists that the puppy/dog comparisons I make are only because I knew of his identity, I'm pretty sure it's way beyond the fact that he's a werewolf. Caesar just behaves like an oversized puppy, whether he believes it or not.
"Mmhm! It's so good!" Caesar's eyes widened at the sweet flavour of his chocolate ice cream. Part of me was worried he'd collapse and I'd have to rush him to the hospital, but from the looks of it, werewolves can apparently eat chocolate. "How's yours?" He smiled at me. God that smile kills me.
"O-oh, it's nice!" I took the spoon into my mouth, unnecessarily trying to prove my statement.
His stare lingered, but before I could ask him about it, he sheepishly spills out a question. "Can I..um..can I try it?" He pointed to the paper cup in my hand.
Giggling in awe, I immediately scooped up the ice cream into my plastic spoon. "Sure." I moved my hand closer to him, expecting him to take the spoon, but instead, he leaned his head closer, taking the spoon into his mouth directly. My cheeks heat up at the small gesture, and I subconsciously start looking around to make sure we haven't attracted anyone's attention.
"Oh! It's really good too! What is this one?" Caesar's eyes gleam in fascination, as if discovering a whole new world, which in a way he was. He'd already explained how strict the pack is about interacting with humans and their world, hence his isolation from the pack after violating that rule. To be with me. And there I was, refusing to give up my group's approval.
"(Y/N)? Why do you keep zoning out today? Is something wrong?" His eyebrows furrow in concern, further engraving the guilt onto my heart.
"I'm just a little tired; don't worry about it." I do my best to give him a reassuring smile, but I suspect that only made him even more worried. "Come on, let's get in line for the ferris wheel." I pull him towards the giant ride.
Caesar stares upwards, "Woah."
"You're not scared of heights, are you?" I smile.
"I've never been that high before," he points to the top of the wheel, "but it does look a bit scary."
"Don't worry; it'll be fun." I take his hand in mine, giving it a small, reassuring squeeze.
By the time we reach the front of the line, we were both done with our ice cream and were just anticipating the ride.
The blond helps you onto the wobbly cabin and climbs inside after you're seated.
The second the small doors shut behind him, the colourful cabin moves upwards, causing Caesar to lose balance. He screams and drops to the ground, curling into a ball in fear.
I softly place a hand on his shoulder, "Caesar, it's fine. It...does that." I chuckle.
His expression softens. Sure enough, he lets me help him off the floor and onto the seat, where he's finally able to take a look at the view beneath us.
His beautiful green eyes widen in admiration, "It's not scary at all. It's very...pretty...just like you." He turns to smile at me, but I immediately avert my gaze shyly.
He takes my hand in his, "I love being with you; you make me happy."
The sincere look in his eyes drew me in, and before I knew it, my bottom lip starts quivering. "I- yeah, me too."I gulp, gluing my eyes elsewhere. I could no longer hold his gentle gaze.
Silence follows for a few moments.
Softly taking place beneath my chin, fingertips guide my face towards their owner, "(Y/N)? Why won't you look at me?" His concerned gaze almost burns holes in my face.
I let out a nervous laugh and take his hand in mine, "What do you mean? I'm just enjoying the view. Look; you can see the ocean from here!"
Caesar forces a weak smile, "Yeah, it's nice."
________
"(Y/N), are you sure we're not lost? I can't hear any cars ahead of us..." After walking through the woods for a bit, Caesar starts getting suspicious about whether we're actually using a shortcut to the bus station.
Hesitation and guilt take turns abusing my mind and heart. "Y-yes, Caesar. Just keep following me." I try to control my breathing rate and calm down.
The closer I get to the spot, the heavier my feet feel, the harder it is to push myself forward. "I can't do this." I drop to the ground and pull out my pocket knife.
"What do you mea-(Y/N), what the fuck are you doing?!" His statement was cut off by his own terrified yell. He drops to the ground and tries to pull away my weapon.
Having already dug the sharp edge into my forearm, I was disappointed by how difficult it is to actually find the tracking device. "Tracking device, Caesar! They'll find us; I need to take it out!" I kick the blond away, as I continue to search through my own flesh for the tiny device. The pain was unbearable, but it wouldn't compare to losing Caesar.
Blood dripped everywhere, making it even harder to see. "Fuck." I pant.
"It's not working." Tears hinder my vision, "Caesar, get out of here! As quick as you can!" The confusion on his face screamed in my face that it's my fault- all of it. "Please..." my voice cracks.
"No, (Y/N), I'm not going anywhere without you. Who are we running from? What's wrong? You know you can tell me anything!" He snatches the knife away and stuffs it in his pocket, the blood making a mess of his clothes in the process.
I push him away with my uninjured arm, "There's no time; please, just leave." Desperation hung at every word, yet he remained unmoved.
"Get up. We're leaving together." He tries to help me up, but I pull my arm away.
"They'll track us down, Caesar! The device is still in there!" I yell. "Please, I'm begging you; just leave before it's too late." I push him again, but he doesn't budge.
"(Y/N), we either leave together or die together; I'm not going anywhere without you whether you like it or not." The serious expression on his face is one I've never seen on him before; he's determined and stubborn, and I knew it.
I shake my head, "No, Caesar, you don't understand; I-"
"Was supposed to kill me, but you felt guilty; I know." He finished my statement, leaving me in a state of shock and shame.
"How- what? You know?" Realizing his lack of resistance, I fall into more confusion, "Well...why did you follow me here? You didn't know I'd feel guilty; I could've killed you!"
"But you didn't." Smirking, he shrugs.
"Caesar, I'm serious..." I stare at him with pleading eyes.
He sighs, "Well, I figured if the person I love the most wants to kill me then that's it; that's how I go."
"You came with me knowing you'll die?!" I cry.
"Well, I had hope you'd change your mind; I knew the love I'd felt with you wasn't fake. I felt your love...And well, I dunno about you humans, but wolves don't go killing wolves they love." He chuckles. "And if you'd killed me, well, I'd still choose that over escaping. I can't imagine this world without you."
"You're such a dumbass." I laugh lightly, but my smile drops at the sight of of something hitting Caesar’s neck.
And before I realize what's happening, He is hyperventilating as he grasps his neck, eyes terrifyingly wide; if I dIdn't know better, I'd think he was choking himself.
I rip out the tiny needle from his neck in panic, but it doesn't stop him from gasping for air, drool trickling down his chin uncontrollably. His eyes start to roll back, but he seems to be trying to hold onto what's left of his conscious mind, "Caesar! Caesar, stay with me!" Sobbing, I begin to shake him violently, but it takes mere moments before he drops to the ground.
The sound of footsteps slowly approaching hammers realization into my terrified brain, "W-why?"
"Girl, he's not dead yet; he's temporarily paralyzed." Kate rolls her eyes, but a warning follows through gritted teeth, "We're making the killing easier for you, so don't make this any harder for us."
"He's not a monster..." I shake my head, desperately pleading for his life, "He doesn't even belong to a pack; he's harmless!"
"Take out your knife, (Y/N)." She warns while the rest of the hunters watch me expectantly.
I look down at Caesar, whose eyes barely held any life in them. No way is he getting up any time soon, and my left arm has already gone limp. We stood no chance. This is it; this is how we die. And it's all my fault.
More warnings follow, but my eyes spot a tall man hiding nearby; he was clearly watching the conflict unfold.
When our eyes met, he put his index finger to his lips, telling me to keep quiet, which I do. I was gonna die anyway; I have nothing to lose, listening to random forest man.
Smirking at my obedience, he gracefully spreads his hand open in the direction of the hunters.
Within a second, they all drop their weapons to clutch their head in their hands, blocking their ears like they couldn't stand a very loud sound. A loud sound you can't hear.
Eventually they all fall to the ground, hands still covering their ears. That's when the stranger decides to step out of his hiding spot.
He slowly makes his way towards me and Caesar. I don't know if it's the blood I've lost or the intense gaze of the man, but everything begins spinning before going completely black.
________
"Did you hear me?! I said shoot him!" Kate screams.
Confusion consumes my every inch, "W-what?"
"Are you deaf?" She holds up her gun, aiming at my head. "Shoot him."
I slowly turn to look at where she motioned with a slight tilt of her chin. My shaky hands were clutching a gun aimed at a terrified Caesar on the ground. "Caesar?"
"Please, don't do this." Trembling, he shakes his head. "I love you. I would never hurt you; you know that." His teary eyes were hypnotizing; I couldn't look away for a reason I couldn't explain. I just stood still- and stared.
“I...I don’t understand...” I lower the gun I knew I didn’t even have on me before.
“Please, I’m begging you.” Caesar pleads.
I observe my surroundings in utter bewilderment. The number of hunters bacame overwhelmingly threatening; I didn’t know there were that many of them. So many faces I couldn’t recognize.
Before I could plan my next move, the sound of a gun shot rips through the air.
My head snaps towards Caesar. His fear-stricken, watery eyes stare back into mine lifelessly.
My lips quiver, as I scan his body for the wound.
Till I found it where I didn’t expect to.
Hot, thick liquid trickles down my face, blurring my vision in the process. My fingers reach for my forehead, allowing me a chance at comprehending the situation.
I’d been shot.
As if the realization was my cue, I watch everything spin out of focus till I completely lose consciousness.
_________
I gasp, immediately shooting out of bed, almost slamming my head against the stranger’s.
“Jeez, the potion sure is quick.” The man mumbles to himself.
“Potion?” I wipe my forehead, just to see a gooey, yellow substance dripping off my fingers. It was a dream?
“(Y/N)!” I find myself engulfed into a warm, tight embrace.
“Caesar.” I breathe out in relief, giving into the hug.
“Wait! The tracking device-” Before I could fully push away Caesar, the man speaks up.
“Already planted it on a rat; it’s gone forever.” He gives a smile I could only interpret as him being proud of his own intelligence.
“I don’t know how to thank you...How do I return the favor? Ask me for anything!”
“It’s a bit funny for you to think I’d need anything from you.” Seemingly offended, the man rolls his eyes and sips his tea.
“He’s a bit...uh...timid?” Caesar whispers to me, hinting he’d already tried to thank the man while I was out of it.
“I already put a healing spell on your arm; there will be no scarring, but I’d rather you keep the bandages for a few more hours.” He glances down at my bandaged arm.
“Thank you...again.” I nod. “A healing spell though...are you a wizard?” My eyebrows furrow in confusion.
The stranger sighs. “Surely you can’t be that dense.”
“I think that’s a yes.” Caesar looks at me in slight uncertainty.
Another sigh. “Azusa Kuze, wizard from Hinomoto, nice to meet you. Anything else you wanna butt into?” He uses a slightly high pitched, cheery voice to ensure we understood he was mocking us.
“Uh, no, we’re good I think.” Caesar chuckles nervously, scratching the back of his head.
“Good.” He diverts his attention to the huge book on his wooden dining table.
“Um, well, I guess we’ll be going now, right, Caesar?”
“Uh, yes. Thank you again, Mr. Hinomoto Wizard Azusa Kuze.” Caesar bows.
The wizard scowls but shakes his head dismissively “Yeah, um, you’re welcome.”
The second we step outside the small cottage, we both let out breaths we didn’t seem to know we were holding.
“Well, that was a strange day.” I state.
“Yeah.” Caesar nods. “Wanna get some more ice cream?”
I grin, “You know it.”

the meaning of love
Tumblr media
| part one | x | part three | part four |
you felt weird, like really weird. the ride back home with jaemin was weird. the both of you barely spoke and he looked as if he was so done with everything. it felt as if he didn't want anything to do with you either.
i mean, he could have just rejected me, you thought, why go through all the trouble?
you decided to not think about it anymore. the run in with the dreamies were too weird, and it was probably the first and last time you will ever interact with them. at least you hoped it was.
just as you were about to leave the house, your mother called out to you, "i don't see wonwoo anymore. did you have a fight with him?"
you rolled your eyes, "no, i didn't. there's rumours that he's dating someone now. i don't know who's the lucky girl though."
"y/n doesn't need any man! she has me," your little brother ran to hug you, with his arms wide open.
"that's right, my little prince! i only need you," you kissed him on the cheek as you carried him up.
"what about me, princess?" your father coughed from behind the newspaper, "i'm practically the first man you love."
both you and your mother looked at each other and laughed, "well, someone's craving for some love."
"i'm going now. bye!" you shouted as you put your shoes on.
--
the rumours of wonwoo having a girlfriend was spreading like wildfire in school. no matter where you went; canteen, garden or even the toilet; you will keep hearing about it.
you sighed. your heart was hurting after all, and the fact that everyone was talking about it, made it worse. it was as if you were invisible, like you weren't the one who's been next to him all these while. everyone dismissed your existence now that wonwoo has a girlfriend.
break came, and when it was break, wonwoo would usually find you to eat together. ever since the rumour had spread, he no longer finds you anymore. so, you secluded yourself in the music room at the end of the hallway.
you entered the music room, finding solace in the silence as you sat down in front of the piano. wonwoo and you would usually hang in the music room from time to time, just catching up or even talking about random topics.
the music room was also one of the reasons why you fell for him. because when two people spend so much time together, they're bound to be alike. that was what happened to you and wonwoo, the both of you were inseparable.
remember when you told me you liked the colour green? you smiled to yourself, remember when you told me you wanted to write?
remember you told me you wouldn't leave me? your smiled faltered, remember you told me you loved me?
"it was probably as friends, though," you sighed.
"as friends? what is?" a voice boomed from behind you.
you jumped in shock, "oh god, make a noise! you nearly killed me!"
"you're exaggerating," you could sense the sarcasm in his tone.
you turned around to give the boy a piece of your mind, but you didn't expect it to be him, out of all people.
"jaemin?" you squealed.
"cat got your tongue?" he raised his brows.
before you could even say anything, the rest of the dreamies entered the room.
"y/n is here!" chenle shouted excitedly.
"luck is not on my side today," you huffed.
"what do you mean by that? we're the best you've got!" donghyuck snapped in fingers.
"i suddenly don't feel so good," you joked as you grabbed your unfinished lunch, trying to get away.
"she just called you thanos!" jisung laughed really hard, slapping mark's and jeno's arms.
"jisung!" both of them shouted in unison.
you were just about to escape the chaotic scene until someone closed the door shut from behind you.
"going somewhere?" jaemin voiced out.
you turned around, his tall figure hovering above you, "yes, i'm trying to get away."
"why!?" chenle questions you, very loud.
"i mean, aren't i intruding? seems like the music room is your hangout place," you shrugged.
"y/n... come sit with us. like chenle said yesterday, you're always welcome to hang with us," mark softens.
"why is mark so soft towards y/n? suspicious," donghyuck scratches his chin.
"yucks, i can't get used to mark being soft," jeno chides in.
"mark, i didn't know you had a crush on me," you cooed.
"oh god, y/n! stop teasing me so much. you always do that during our committee meetings!" he shrieked, "not here too, please."
you laughed, "i'll try."
the moment you looked up, your eyes made contact with jaemin's. you didn't realise how pretty he looked up close, almost too sinful to be that beautiful. you blushed momentarily and looked away, walking to take a seat to finish your lunch.
as you sat down, jaemin plopped next to you immediately after that. you looked around to see that there were a few other seats available, but didn't really heed much attention.
"so, y/n! do you like games?" renjun started the conversation.
"mobile games? not so. arcade games? hell yeah," you grew excited the moment you mentioned arcade.
jeno placed a hand on his heart, acting offended. you just laughed and stuck your tongue out as a joke.
"let's go to the arcade after school, then!" chenle suggested.
"that's very impromptu though," you widen your eyes.
"you don't like it?" renjun asked.
"hell no, i love it! let's go! i'm so excited!" you danced a little, out of excitement.
the rest of the dreamies laughed, except for jaemin. he tried stifling his smile, because he found you really cute and all he wanted was to squish your cheeks. not that you know anything though.
--
you were just fidgeting in class, and knowing that you're gonna go to the arcade right after that you couldn't control the excitement.
"ms y/n. i will have you know that my class hasn't ended yet," the teacher voiced out.
the bell rang right after that, signalling the end of class.
"well, it has now," you winked at the teacher.
you spranced out the door to get some of the things out of the locker that was needed for the weekend.
"arcade! let's get it," you whispered to yourself.
just as you closed your locker, someone called out to you. you turned around to see who it was and it was none other than, jeon wonwoo. right next to him was a girl, whom you assume to be his girlfriend.
"y/n!" wonwoo greeted you excitedly.
"oh, hey!" you forced a smiled.
"i know i've been missing in action a lot and i know you've probably heard the rumours and i'm super sorry for the late introduction!" he clasped his hands together, hoping you'd forgive him, "her name's aera, and she's my girlfriend!"
and those assumptions were correct.
"finally, jeon wonwoo! i've been dying to know who's the lucky girl!" you took his hands and jumped around gleefully, while your heart literally broke into a million pieces yet again.
"i wanted you to be the first one to know and i'm sorry for keeping this from you. you're my best friend," wonwoo smiled.
you're my best friend, he said.
"o-of course! you're my best friend too," you repeated to assure him but it somehow left a bitter taste in your mouth.
"let's catch up soon, y/n!" wonwoo waved goodbye.
looking at their silhoutte fading away, your tears threatened to fall any minute. i thought i told you to suck it up, you said to yourself again, suck it up!
he isn't worth any tears, you tried brainwashing yourself again, but the tears fell anyway.
you ran to the music room. you didn't care if anyone saw you or judged you, but you kept running. you just needed to be alone.
the moment you slammed the door open, you were face-to-face with 7 familiar faces.
"y/n?" chenle whispered.
"oh my god, what happened?" donghyuck tried to come closer.
you stepped back, shock evident on everyone's faces, including yours.
"i-i have to go, i'm sorry," you ran away.
"y/n!" you heard jaemin calling out to you.
you ran till you reach the one place with no memories of wonwoo and you together; dream book cafe.
with a heavy breathing, you tried to make yourself comfortable at the restricted section that was located at the end of the room. you hated that you cried easily, and the fact that you've fallen deeply in love with your best friend.
everyone said don't ever fall for your best friend, and you could see why now. there wasn't any guarantee that he/she will love you back. you only realised that now, which sucks.
"y/n?" a voice call out to you.
you immediately looked up and widen your eyes, "h-how did you know i was here?"
"i live around here remember? and you mentioned this cafe once before," jaemin sighed.
he came closer and sat right next to you, "wanna tell me what happened?"
"n-no," you stuttered.
"really?" he asked once again.
you hiccup, "n-no."
jaemin chuckled, "come here."
he placed his hand over you, making you lean onto his broad shoulder.
"are you comfortable?" he peered into your face, making sure that you're okay.
you nodded, "very comfortable, thanks to you."
jaemin chuckled once again, "so, do you wanna tell me why you were crying?"
you waited and contemplated for a little while, wondering if you should opened up to jaemin. i mean, he was actually the one who didn't talk to you, but also, what's the harm in letting him know.
you breathed in, wondering how to start, "um, well.. i like someone, and he turns out to be my best friend."
you looked at jaemin, and he was staring back at you, listening to every word you were saying.
"maybe it's more than just a like. maybe it's love, but i don't know. we've spent every day together and doing things together and that made me grown to like him so much, so the thought of us being together most of the time was never really weird. i thought maybe we had a chance together, until i saw his girlfriend."
you paused again, and you felt jaemin hugging you tighter.
"his girlfriend was so pretty and they really look compatible together. maybe, it was just me, being my delusional self, you know. wonwoo deserved way better and i can never match up to him, i would never. i was never meant to be loved by him but i wanted him to love me badly."
"you're fine the way you are, y/n. my words probably won't be of any comfort but, believe me when i say you deserve just as much love as wonwoo. maybe even more. the love you give to people is the love you're definitely gonna get back. wonwoo's girlfriend is pretty, you say? i think you're even more stunning and charming than anyone i've met."
you didn't dare to look up to meet his eyes. you didn't want him to see you've became a mess, a blushing mess. it wasn't even a confession, you know it, but it drove you mad, a wreck.
from then on, you knew things will never be the same.

are there any plots you're particularly looking forward to or things you'd like to do with dolores?
okay a few weeks ago i listed some stuff here but i’ll try and come up with something extra for this ask, since a bit of time has passed
tbh picking up dolores has been really nice for me so far?? like. idk i enjoy picking up new characters in general, but  - and i’m sure a lot of rpers can relate to this - it’s not every day that you find one character you end up having a TON of consistent muse for, and that’s always a good feeling. in the past like... idk how many months, sara has really been the center of my muse bc of all the plot stuff going on, so it feels really nice (as much as i enjoy sara) when i find a different character i can spread some of that focus to organically, like i ended up being able to do with trish. and with trish, like, i ended up coming up with a lot of plot ideas for her fairly quickly and people were really great about contributing their own ideas to them which was wonderful
anyways the point of this ramble is that i’m definitely itching to get dolores similarly involved, to come up with some bigger plot ideas for her or throw her at other people’s bigger plots, i’m just still trying to feel around for what kind of things might be good for that!
i am still interested in her maybe establishing or helping to establish a different kind of nonhuman group, but right now on denny?? idk if there are a lot of other characters who’d be interested in that kind of thing?? i dunno, maybe eventually i’ll put up some kind of interest check
if she keeps developing ties to tigerclan, that could be really interesting. i think she and mothpaw’ll get along really well and spear and i have already talked about how nice it is for them both to have a more positive, sweet relationship in their lives. but as kind of an extension of that, her relationship with tigerstar could be pretty fun too, because. dolores can go from 0 to pragmatic fuck in record time. so i think she’d recognize that mirrored element of tigerstar’s personality, given enough exposure to him, and be kind of “hmm” about it. because he COULD be a very interesting ally for her, especially since they have kind of similarly :/ views on humans, but at the same time if she starts to perceive him as a threat to mothpaw or the other tigerclan cats she might be kind of hmmmm. it’d be fun to see them engage in a bit of a metaphorical chess game.
and foxfire could probably convince her to help him find a way to make him a viable threat against humans, so that’s a disaster all on its own,
what else.... tbh just some of her individual relationships are promising to be really interesting, and could maybe spawn plot material down the road. i’ve loved her interactions with like, kaworu, damien, ravage so far. if ravage requested her help at any point MAYBE she’d become a temporary ally to anarky’s group, although as i said before i think lonnie would be pretty wary of her and they wouldn’t exactly see eye to eye. her stuff with laurel’s been really good and complicated so far too; i think it’d be interesting to see what dolores thinks of some of the stuff laurel’s been through. initially it might just be kind of “hm :/ so you even dehumanize each OTHER” but on a quieter level it’d still resonate with her, particularly if they’ve had even more complicated interactions by then
actually weirdly, dolores is shaping up to have a lot of connections to... the denny legends?? there’s her stuff with laurel, and she’s TOTALLY going to take an interest in ava even though ava isn’t by technical standards an android, tony and i have been talking about plotting her and amaya (she actually sent me an ask about this i still need to get to), she’s gonna hang with maive once maive is on her soul searching quest, and you and i have talked about her and knock out.... once fate’s back i’m sure it goes without saying that dolores and ratchet would be interesting... idk i didn’t plan it that way but she’s gonna end up knowing a lot of them. i wonder what she’d think of them as a group.
oh and her stuff with cloud!! i don’t think even dolores herself knows what she wants from cloud, atm she’s just carefully passing as human around him but that allows for like... a lot of chill interactions she wouldn’t otherwise have and slightly more intimate exposure to humanity, so that ought to be interesting however it plays out
i also would really love to plot her with handsome jack. they’re due to meet soon anyway but like, the jokes jay and i have made about jack/man in black parallels aside, i think they could be REALLY interesting adversaries. dolores doesn’t have much stake in tracking him down just because he’s a criminal, but he... does not exactly have a ton of respect for robots, ai, etc., and i think the moment he tried to exploit her she’d really start gunning for him.  jack has a lot of the legends after him rn but all of them have this like, personal angry stake that might be different than the calculating “i wanna ruin your life” approach dolores might take and anything he might have in store for her, SO. god maybe that’s some form of plot thread for her and maive once maive is hanging a bit in the southwest, idk
hmmm i’m not sure if there’s anything i forgot to mention at this point but... yeah! basically, i’m still deciding what to do with her in the Bigger Picture but there’s a lot of potential for cool stuff just from the dynamics she’s already developing
