On a surface level, he is annoying, a brat and quite haughty for some people to tolerate,

but under all that exterior, it's implied and is probably the truth (jokes on you that’s canon-), that Grim really treasures his friends a lot, and his innocent dreams of wanting to become a wizard / witch (sorcerer-) is just something he yearns,

he just lacks the discipline but he grows along the way because Grim isn't perfect, but he grows and mends his ways slowly and gradually.

Grim is a character who really loves his friends, STYX wasn't the only example. I'm pretty sure he starts growing attached to Yuu and company somewhere in the middle of Chapter 1.

Even if you still don't like Grim, there's plenty of people out there who really love this fire breathing furball. It's not very nice to just say he's plain nasty ya know- :///

It is selfish, but being very "not-selfish", and just centralising purely about others is not healthy either. Like being fully selfish.

It's okay to want something for yourself, is what I want to say, and how others should treat you.

Because being selfish in that sense would make you a better person.

So for my case, staying here might have felt like I didn't want to make others upset, and I didn't want to break their hearts, and I don't,
