                     SHE’S   BEEN   DREADING   THIS   MOMENT,      BUT   SHE   DOESN’T   LET   IT   SHOW.       the   show   was   currently   airing   and   if   the   growth   on   her   social   media   has   anything   to   say   about   it,      this   season   was   going   to   be   the   biggest   one   yet.       and   now   that   the   show   was   airing,      chris   mclean’s   greasy   mug   was   everywhere   promoting   it;   and   now   it   was   time   for   his   starlets   to   do   the   same.       courtney   was   less   than   thrilled   to   be   attending   this   tour,      she   already   knows   how   little   her   peers   adhere   to   personal   hygiene   standards,      and   spending   two   weeks   with   them   on   a   tour   bus   was   less   than   ideal.       and   of   course,      the   giant   elephant   in   the   room;   the   exploding   drama   between   gwen,      duncan,      and   courtney.       honestly,      they   were   as   good   as   dead   to   her.       courtney’s   trust   was   fragile   and   now   that   it   was   broken,      she   fears   that   it   will   never   be   repaired.       well,      she   supposes   that   she   and   duncan   are   now   even   in   some   respect.       while   what   her   lies   had   done   to   them   might   have   been   the   catalyst   for   this   pain,      at   least   it   was   private.       she   broke   his   heart   first,      but   quietly.       he   broke   her   heart   messily   and   in   front   of   the   entire   world.    

                 SO   PARDON   HER   FOR   NOT   WANTING   TO   SEE   HIM   RIGHT   NOW.      she’s   quiet   as   her   dad   drives   her   to   where   they   would   be   boarding,      her   knee   hugged   to   her   chest   as   she   stares   out   the   window.       “   i   could   make   him   disappear,      if   you   want,   ”      it   was   todd’s   protective   and   well   -   intentioned   effort   of   cheering   her   up,      and   it   works   just   a   little   bit.       courtney   glances   back   to   her   father   with   a   faint   smile,      more   for   his   sake   than   her   own.       callahans   always   keep   their   chins   up.       once   they   arrive,      there’s   matching   fire   in   their   eyes   as   todd   moves   to   open   the   door   for   courtney   before   loading   her   bags   from   the   trunk   for   her.       there’s   no   kiss   to   her   forehead,      instead   there’s   a   firm   handshake   and   clasp   to   her   back   as   their   eyes   meet.       “    you   call   me   immediately   if   mclean   is   acting   up,      i’ve   got   jacobson   on   speed   dial   should   we   need   to   press   any   more   charges,    ”      it’s   better   than   hearing   an   ‘ i   love   you ’   to   courtney,      and   she   smiles   genuinely   this   time.       “   bye   daddy,      i   love   you,   ”      courtney   replies.       she   takes   a   deep   breath,      watches   her   father   drive   away   before   moving   to   start   loading   her   bags   in   the   tour   bus.       her   expression   remains   stoic   as   gazes   of   recognition   float   by:   noah,      sierra,      owen,      tyler,      heather.       she   says   nothing   to   them.       

                  AND   THEN   DUNCAN   ARRIVES,      FASHIONABLY   LATE   AS   USUAL.       throat   burns   to   nag   him   for   it,      to   throw   the   first   punch   --      but   instead,      she   bites   the   inside   of   her   cheek   and   pretends   she   didn’t   see   him   arrive.       with   gwen,      no   less.       once   courtney   finishes   loading   the   bags,      she   flinches   when   she   sees   him   move   closer.       courtney   aches,      still   standing   by   the   cargo   hold   of   the   bus;   her   face   turns   red   when   he   catches   her   staring   at   him,      and   she   tries   to   mask   it   with   a   glare   but   he   knows   better.       he   knows   her.       her   feet   are   frozen   as   he   approaches   her,      of   course   they’re   both   behind   the   bus   where   no   one   could   see   them   talking.       “    get   lost,      duncan.     ”      courtney   grumbles,      nails   digging   into   her   palm   as   she   resists   the   urge   to   cry.       it   makes   her   even   angrier   when   he   smirks   at   her,      leans   against   the   bus   and   rests   his   arms   behind   his   head.       “   UGH   !!   WHAT   DO   YOU   WANT   !!   ”      courtney   screeches,      sure   that   if   they   didn’t   already   have   people   snooping   into   their   business,      they   did   now.       “   did   you   think   i   didn’t   hear   all   the   things   you   said   about   me   ?   ”   he   asks.    

                 CONFUSION   HITS,      QUICKLY   FOLLOWED   BY   VINDICATION.       oh,      that’s   right.       her   twitter   tirade   from   last   night.       honestly,      courtney   blacked   out   and   didn’t   remember   most   of   what   she   said:   that’s   grey   goose   for   you.       either   way,      it   was   her   turn   to   smirk.       “   i   was   hoping   you’d   hear   them,    ”   some   of   her   greatest   hits   include   @THEDELINQUENT’S   DICK   ISN’T   EVEN   THAT   GREAT,      ENJOY   MY   SLOPPY   SECONDS   GWEN!!      and   not   to   mention      DUNCAN   PEAKED   WHEN   HE   WAS   WITH   ME   AND   THERE’S   NO   USE   TRYING   TO   HIDE   IT !!

less so saying more like liking tr*mp’s tweets / tweets that support his views. just went through them again to make sure they’re still there and they are. :-))))))))))))))))))))))))
