Re: Soul Burn

A lot of ppl on twitter and reddit are asking for Mercy's mirrorwatch changes to go live, and while I think the ult is a Bit Much lol, soul burn is super fun.

If the devs were to replace rez (as people have asked for*) and give Mercy more damage potential, I think this would be the right direction to take her. Because it synergizes well with her kit (dmg boost and GA both compliment the ability) and gameplay-wise, soul burn is a niche and indirect (relative to shooting someone in the face) way of doing damage, so it somewhat maintains her pacifist nature while allowing her to like, survive in a PVP game. (The ability doesn’t have to be soul burn specifically, just anything that follows this design philosophy)

I have no idea if soul burn would be balanced. It feels a tad overpowered in mirrorwatch (but tbf ppl haven't learned to play around it) and I could see it very easily become underpowered. But it is 100 times better then any concept the community has come up with, it's fun at the very least.
