Hi! I’ve had this thought swirling in my head for days and I HAVE to share before I go nuts with Secondo taking over 😂 I went to a bbq recently and all I could think of is all the Papas, ghouls and “Seestor”hosting one amongst themselves, and they’re allowed a plus one ofc, so Secondo takes you. He’s acting like his usual bitter old man self…and then gets jealous when others start staring at you, getting worse when you have your swimwear, and then he just ends up sitting you on his lap for a while. 🏃🏼‍♀️

I wish I had the capacity rn to write a full thing for this but just... I need to add a little bit to it (under the read more bc I got carried away, gender-neutral reader):

I can imagine Secondo being the one who actually does the barbecueing and prepares the food or at least he quickly finds himself alone because everyone else acts like they don't know how to do it and besides, Terzo already brought the potato salad and there just isn't enough space in front of the grills for more than one person anyway, you know?

He'd mildly grumble about it but actually he enjoys taking care of everyone, feeling important and showing off his skills. At first you stay by his side even though you don't know how to help, he's very particular about how he does things, just so he's not all alone. However, you're quickly distracted by Terzo and the ghouls who are passing the time until dinner is ready by playing volleyball and doing all kinds of pool shenanigans. They get you to join and you soon find yourself laughing and giggling as they splash you with water or throw their beach balls at you.

At first Secondo is incredibly glad that you blend in so seamlessly, that no one even bats an eye at the fact that you're there with him and that they respect you as part of the family. But then the ghouls and ghoulettes get a little too comfy with you, a little too touchy, staring a little too hard at you in your scarce swimwear. He knows there is no reason to be jealous, he trusts you completely and he's not insecure when it comes to your love. The reason he gets jealous is that he finds himself wishing that he could be the one to make you laugh like this. Who brings out this carefree side of you and who holds you close while the cool water softly sways around you.

This quickly leads to him missing your company and wanting to be close to you and he's quite over this barbecue all of a sudden but of course he can't let the food burn, neither does he want to spoil your fun when he knows he's just being silly, so he just watches from afar and observes the situation. He only snaps out of it when Terzo shows up and asks him if he plans to serve any ghoul meat tonight because the intensity of his death stares surely has to be lethal.

Secondo only relaxes when you all sit down to eat and he finds himself right beside you again. His hand never leaves your thigh, it's actually quite impressive how he manages to eat a whole steak using just one hand. You praise his food of course, as do the others, and his mood improves – well, right until dinner is over and the ghouls and ghoulettes already try to drag you off again. This time, he's having none of it and the moment your butt leaves the garden chair you find yourself pulled back by two strong hands that wrap around your waist. He pulls you right into his lap, firm hands on your front pushing you into his groin as his lips press to your neck in a wet kiss. You can't help but chuckle because you know exactly what prompted it and you don't mind spending time with your love after all the excitement from earlier. You place your hands on his, engaging in the conversation he's falling into with his brothers. There's certainly worse things than sitting in Secondo's lap for the rest of the night ♡

to the discouraged anon: you're not alone w the feeling, but if you look historically, change rarely came over night. and I'm saying this as a bts stan myself, but I remember first time I heard about the boycott at late jan/early feb, a4p only had like idk 4k followers maybe (maybe less maybe more)? now the acc has almost 39k!! it's still not a lot (compared to other big accs), but it's definitely not little anymore. the movement is growing every day. I recently found out that a big bts fanfic writer here on tumblr whose stories are very popular, is open pro-pal and pro-boycott, even posts it on their blog, meanwhile big ig fan accs and even tae's biggest solo fanbase were vocally against his ig post bc of it going against bds - so all these big accs use their platforms to spread awareness (even if it was only for that one matter). it gives me hope that not all hope is gone for this fandom yet. the difficulty is also reaching and informing ppl who otherwise would support the boycott but simply don't know about it or don't know why it's happening (mainly ppl on other sites or irl who aren't much online). and I also see more and more ppl from other fandoms becoming vocal and joining. and same applies to the boycotts outside of kpop. and at the end of the day keep in mind that yeah, maybe there aren't that big visible results (chartwise) yet, but at least you can always say you didn't contribute to this and that your conscience is clean.

Pursuit currently ranks at number one for me. I really had fun exploring Wyll's point of view, especially how his past with Mizora and his father informed a lot of how he approached the problems he encountered (plus that little nugget of hinting at why Ulder and his father may have been so distant). All in all, I feel like I hit a new level of quality in my writing with this one.

Beachside Introductions was my first foray into writing a canon character's point of view, and I think it still holds up! Writing it definitely gave me a new appreciation for Act 1 Shadowheart, and everything she's still reeling from. It gave me different angle to reinterpret the story from, and I'm glad that it's a choice I stuck with (it also just passed 50 hits, woo!).

Brocade, Shredded, my beloved. The first fic that I was brave enough to actually publish, written in "if-I-don't-write-something-for-this-story-I-have-inside-me-I-will-explode" frenzy. I'm so thankful people picked up this story and liked it, along with the silly detective I made up. 💜

The way he was quiet, rubbing his leg and blinking, adverting his gaze...that's a clear tell-tale of someone who's trying to not vomit. I'm saying this as someone who suffer with nausea CONSTANTLY and I cannot stress how many times I had to literally keep myself from being sick.

In his case it wasn't as bad as to the point where he was swallowing convulsively but it still seemed like he was doing his best not to gag or something.

I see Kit as a very reckless character in a lot of respects, and her type (excluding Dewey) has always been very dangerous (even if we just look at canon/functionally canon, we have Olaf and Ellington like,,, I haven't read atwq yet but even I know there's a pattern here. Also she def had a thing for Beatrice and probably Esmé so. the pattern continues). Oda would always take time to reassure you about how beautiful and perfect you are when you're pregnant with his baby. He knows how scary it can feel, he knows that it's easy to feel insecure about your body or the strange mood swings that keeps him on his toes, but he always reassures you that he loves you no matter what, and he'll always say it until you finally believe it.

Fyodor wouldn't want a baby at first, too insecure about his life and his worries, but he'd love it if you had a kid of your own before the relationship with him! You'd worry that he'd think differently of you for it, but he doesn't at all, taking on the role of a father perfectly like it was made for him. And seeing you put the little one to bed with a kiss to their forehead leaves him wanting a baby after all.

Toji was much the same with Megumi, he was worried about how you'd feel about it, especially since Megumi is a teen, not much younger than you in the end, but after reassuring this old man, he's happy to give you a baby. Problem is, he ends up wanting another one, and since you share the same sentiment, there'd be another baby before long, not that either of you would mind.

Now I'm not sure about how you'd feel about Nanami, but I'm gonna go ahead anyway. He'd be the BEST when you're pregnant, making sure to do everything for you and give you everything, you never have to move a muscle! He makes sure that you get the attention that you need and deserve, even if it means that he has to take time off of work during and after your pregnancy. You're the most important person, after all

oda is literally the PERFECT partner for when you’re pregnant, ur so right. he loves you through every bitchy mood swing, through every sleepless night and even the times you accidentally puke on him. he’s so kind and caring, reassuring you that you’re so beautiful and perfect even with stretch marks and gained weight and weird cravings. he’ll go get you fast food at 2 am and even carry you up and down the damn stairs if you asked him to. he’s there to cradle you and kiss you when you cry bc none of your clothes fit anymore, and you don’t feel yourself in your body. oda loves you pregnant. thinks you’re so fucking sexy and gorgeous but it also hurts him to a degree that you’re having to put your body through so much when he doesn’t have to do anything at all, so that’s why he tries to be a perfect partner 24/7. sakunosuke my beloved he is so perfect i literally could not ask for a better man or anyone else to have a baby with!!!!!

fyodor is def a different story when it comes to kids so i like the idea you came up with of coming into the relationship with a kid already!! he’d admittedly be a little skeptical esp bc you told him your kid comes first, but once you get to a point where the relationship is serious enough and you finally let fyodor meet them, he absolutely falls in love with them. and in spending time with them, he realizes why the kid means so much to you. fyodor has a crisis because it’s so unlike him and he swore he’d never bestow this dreaded life upon an innocent child that didn’t ask for it (dramatic ik) but now he’s itching for one of his own. and maybe he even legally adopts your kid too :)

listen i have so much lore when it comes to toji and babies HAHA but yes for us, since there is an age gap and im not much older than megumi, there had to be a LOT of discussions about kids, with both toji and megumi. it took toji a while to even reckon with the idea of having another kid, and once he does (he lowkey falls for the idea before me), there kind of needs to be lengthy talks about what having a kid with 2 differently aged parents would look like, and talks with megumi because he’s struggling with the fact that his once neglectful father is bound to be a wonderful dad to a new baby. and also the fact that i am his age. but oh my god…. toji ends up being such a wonderful wonderful partner. we even saw this in canon with how much he loved his wife and how much he cherished her and her belly. it makes me cry when i think abt it for too long of how kind and caring he’d be. GAHHHHHHHH

and nanami yes!!! while i never rly discuss him i do like him a lot!! i also think he’d be a fantastic partner. the man’s love language is absolutely acts of service, so to show you his love he begs you to let him do SOMETHING, whether that’s make you food, do the laundry, give you a damn back and foot massage, he’ll do anything. kento is on his feet the second you even begin to utter the words that u might want or need something. bc i can see him similar to oda in that he feels inherent (though unwarranted) guilt about his partner having to carry the baby while he has to do nothing, so he’ll do everything for you in the mean time.
