  i kinda like to think lir’s transition was kinda quiet, bc she wasn’t sure what her father was gonna say about it. not in fear or anything just, uncertainty. and it just, happened.   she grew out her hair, called herself a princess and a woman and haggard just went with it silently. he didn’t really care what lir did after she became an adult so it was whatever honestly

  with a cry and the toss of its head, the unicorn rears back up on its hind legs, kicking her forelegs as she glares down at the other- a storm like a blizzard flashing in her ancient eyes.   she falls back to the ground with grace, her silvery horn poised to strike.
