Alr so I was watching edits and came across Arlecchino and an idea popped into my head!

Danny Phantom as Arlecchino in DC also know as: Phantom the Knave Sovereign

(Still working on the name- Before we start I wanna say, I’m just trouble shooting rn and seeing what new ideas I could add with your guys input too. But so far this is what I have)

Ok so plot points:

Somehow Pariah Dark gets free of the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, either because of Vlad or the Observants

Pariah seeing potential in Danny (and cause he was already dubbed to take Pariahs place after he was old enough) starts trying to become Danny’s parental model (much like Vlad. But Worse.)

It was annoying at first, but slowly over time, Pariah started taking his role as Danny’s “Father” too far and twisted. Wanting to make Danny strong, stronger than he ever will be.

Then one thing leads to another and an identity reveal happens. Except the Fentons now pretend Danny Fenton no longer exists, and it’s just Danny Phantom that is an after image of their boy. Which pains them so they keep their distance, but still help what they think is left of their boy.

Danny is sad about that- but he has his sister Jazz and his two best friends! He can live with his parents pretending he doesn’t exist, atleast not as Danny Fenton no he can’t- he really can’t-

Then shit hits the fan, resulting in Danny’s home dimension into imploding into itself. (Which may or may not be the fault of Pariah Dark)

Luckily Danny is able to get out with Jazz!

But he’s too angry to rationalize himself after the death of his Haunt and almost all his fraid dying. He attacks and attacks Pariah and observers and whoever that threatens his last family at every turn.

More shit hits the fan, resulting in Danny getting cursed, which really hurts Danny. Enough to do weird ghost shenanigans to his biology, (via curse), and Jazz gets caught up.

Pariah sees a golden opportunity to use this to get Danny stronger to become the next king.

But Clockwork has had enough and steps in. Only to be promptly sealed away by the still acting king; Pariah Dark. Which Danny not even knowing as he’s out for the count thanks to the curse. (Jazz is the only witness. But Pariah can’t kill her because of Danny.)

More stuff happens and now Pariah is the acting Father of Danny and Jazz (with amnesia) who are in a ghost normal(?) orphanage with other kids.

Basically Arlecchino’s childhood happens to Danny and Jazz. Just that Pariah has decided to false make Jazz his “bio” kid to mentally fuck with Danny (smol child, and poor Jazz).

Danny still sees Jazz as his sis even if he doesn’t remember

After Jazz sadly doesn’t make it, Danny faces off Pariah once more for the first time. And consumes Pariahs Core into his, eating him alive so no more Pariah for the rest or eternity.

Then remembers- holy shit his names Danny! Not Peruere, which ew- (kidding I love the name-)

Anyways Danny gets mad at Clockwork only to find him sealed and the timelines fucked- and with Clockwork being so weak since the seal-ment, it’s up to Danny to fix the mess (and the one that was caused by the Observants once more with no one on the throne)

And so now Danny travels around timelines, picking up strays and adopting them (much like Batman, but better)

That there is the rough outline of the story!! I probably will make more but I just need to organize my thoughts before going into finer things (and art!)

Also I’d like to mention- while in the orphanage, Danny’s human side takes on more physical characteristics of his ghost form. Sorta merging the two forms into one? Not sure about it.

But Danny’s human form has definitely changed, and the curse is the same as Arlecchinos from Genshin (although would be nice if someone actually explained the curse to me fully- cause I don’t get it at all 😭)

Anyways that’s it- im thinking about interactions with the kids Danny Adopts and such but that’s for another time 💀

You were on your back. That much you knew. You were in utter darkness, couldn't even see your hand in front of your face, the oppressive weight of nothing surrounding you. Hands were grabbing your shoulders now and shaking you violently. You tried to scream, to tell them to stop but your throat was raw and nothing would come out. Instead you thrashed wildly, hands flailing everywhere, connecting with something - chest, arms, face? You didn't care you just wanted out. Then you heard another voice in the darkness.

You turned away, the fear replaced by anger burning hot and sore in your chest. You didn't want him either.

It's OK.

The voice was so soft and so close, right in your ear. You shook your head, your hands still flailing in the dark, looking for anything to grasp, then they found two other hands, holding yours in a firm but gentle grip.

I'm here.

I don't want you here was what you wanted to say, but when you tried to speak nothing came out but sobs, and suddenly you could feel heat and moisture on your face as tears gushed out of your eyes.

Arms were encircling you now and you could feel a hand rubbing slow and even circles on your back. You knew who it was. As the blackness gave way to dark blue, white, grey and the nothingness became trees and bushed and rocks, you remembered where you were and who you were with. You wanted to push him away, to fight him, to tell him to go to hell, but the warmth encompassing you, the soothing words in your ear and the smooth circles on the small of your back were too good to resist. So you allowed yourself to fall into his embrace, head resting in the crook of his neck as your tears continued to fall.

"You awake now hon?"

"Shut up."

"OK."

It wasn't the first time she'd woken him up. That first night after, well, it had happened, she had slammed her sleeping bag down as far away from him as safety would allow and he hadn't objected, even as they fell asleep to the sound of each other's teeth chattering. He'd woken up who-knows-how-long later to the sound of her crying out. He'd jumped up, thinking they were being attacked by infected or more of Marcus' men but instead it was just her crying in her sleep. She looked like she was trying to hit something or someone but her arms were trapped by her sleeping bag.

He hadn't meant to scare her, he just wanted to wake her, or help get her arms free because at this rate she was going to hurt herself. But the minute his hand made contact with her shoulder, her eyes snapped open and her fist made contact with his nose.

"Ow, shit, what was that for?"

"Don't. Touch me" She spat, eyes filled with venom.

"I was only trying to.."

"I don't need your help. I don't want your help. I don't want anything from you." Joel flinched.

Her words had cut him deeper than he'd admit even to himself. But he didn't want to sleep with a broken nose every night so he did as she said, he didn't go near her. Even when the sound of her teeth chattering kept him up, even when she thrashed about so wildly she had bruises the next day, even when he could hear her crying in her sleep, and even when he could see bags under her eyes and her skin grow pale from exhaustion.

Until tonight. He was astonished when she put her sleeping bag next to him, but she'd simply glowered and said "it's too cold to sleep separately. This is just so I don't have to listen to you shivering all night. Got it?" He'd nodded. Got it.

And that's how he'd woken up to an elbow in his gut as she flailed helplessly. He'd tried to leave her alone, but this didn't seem to be going away, and he realised, with a stab of guilt, that it was probably worse because she was making prolonged physical contact for the first time since the attack. And that's when he decided, screw it. He couldn't leave her like this anymore. She could hit him if she wanted, which she did as he tried to wake her up. Shaking her only made it worse so he did the only other thing he could think of, something that he was sure would earn him a verbal or physical lashing later, and he took her into his arms, held her, stroked her back and whispered "it's OK" over and over again until her body relaxed and he could feel a wet patch where her face met his shoulder.

"You awake now hon?"

"Shut up."

"OK."

There she stayed, not saying or doing anything. He wasn't sure what to do, what she wanted, but when he slowed his circles on her back, she mumbled "don't stop" into his chest, so he kept going until her breathing evened out and her quiet snores indicated that she had finally fallen into deep and undisturbed sleep, but even then he didn't stop. He just held her, listening to her snores, crickets chirping, birds starting to sing in the early hours of the morning. He was almost starting to fall asleep himself when he spotted the first snowflake.

Shit.

"Get up." She gave a muffled groan of protest. "C'mon, we gotta move." She blinked slowly then shot up.

"What is it, what's wrong?" Her face was panicked.

"It's just snow. We'll live but we have to keep moving, maybe find some real shelter." If Joel remembered right there was a cabin not too far away that was (usually) abandoned.

She groaned and he could see her trying to gather her strength. That must have been the first decent sleep she'd had in days and he'd cut it short. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she glanced at it but didn't shrug him off.

"I know you're tired but we can't stay." She nodded and took the hand that he offered, allowing him to pull her to her feet. His stomach lurched as she swayed slightly before gathering her things. This was not going to be a good day.

I assume you mean aus for HSR specifically? I've got a lot more for genshin, but to stop myself from going on massive tangents, I'll just stick to HSR. I'll keep them all as summaries and go into more depth if there's any interest. Ok here we go:

Chimera Yanqing has kinda become my whole thing now, but I've never actually mentioned the other characters that I've also made chimera forms for. Namely Jing Yuan.

He doesn't really have any lore...? Unlike Yanqing, I was too focused on making him look pretty, which is easy because it's Jing Yuan. I'll make an update if I add anything more to his lore, cause I'd hate to just leave him unfinished forever. I do have a chimera Yunli au too, which I'll also save for another time. (Also keep in mind that he has wayyyy more fur than what I've shown. It just would've made his actual form unclear. He is very, very fluffy, canonically)

Mara-struck Yanqing (aka How the general ate the cabbage). Made a whole fic for this one, the plot is in the pudding, and by pudding I mean my ao3 lol. Instead of deflecting Jingliu's ult, Yanqing is instead killed and mara-stricken, and everything falls apart from there. Keeping it vague since it's still in progress. As of writing this, I'm three chapters in, so check it out if you're interested <3

Band au. I actually forgot about this one until I went through my list. Basically, It's a modern au where the high cloud quintet were a huge band back in ye olden days of the mid 1980s until their downfall, where the lead singer (Baiheng) is killed in an accident, triggering a series of unfortunate fates for 3 of the 4 remaining members. Jing Yuan is the only member still working in the industry and adopted Yanqing roughly 20 years after the the HCQ's fallout. One day, though, after years of no contact, Blade comes back into Jing Yuan's life, seeking refuge from law enforcement, and it all tumbles out of control from there after Jing Yuan accepts. The rest of the story would follow a very suspicious Yanqing wondering what the deal is with his dad's weird new boyfriend, and eventually reuniting the 4 remaining members (getting the band back together, as Phineas would say). There is SO much lore for this one, but it would take up this entire post to explain, so I'll probably just make it into its own post (with designs ofc). Tbh I haven't done as much work on this one as the others simply because I just don't know that much about music? Zel does though, so if I ever come back to it, I can go to him as a consultant.

Kind of an odd one, but I'm including it since it sorta counts, and I've become pretty fond of it over time. Mom Lumine au(s) Xiaother being Yanqing's dads is one of my favorite little crack aus. This au is the brainchild of imagining Yanqing as Lumine's child instead, but me as the author not enjoying xiaolumi as much. Thus, this was born. There's not really a story? Just a bunch of loosely put together concepts with multiple potential narratives that I find fun. Most of the time I default Childe as Yanqing's bio dad. In a weird way, it makes sense in my head? Yanqing resembles Lumine and uses a sword, and has that same go-getting, battle-hungry attitude as Childe, with all the knock-outs to boot. I mainly imagine chilumi as this interstellar crime duo; the Bonnie and Clyde of space, if you will. Because, honestly, if Yanqing's parents are ever to be revealed, would it not be the funniest thing for them to turn out to be criminals? I think it's hilarious, because Yanqing himself would be mortified.

Guardian Blade/Stellaron Hunter Yanqing au. These names are kinda lazy cause I usually don't make official titles for them unless their a fic, which this one happens to be. Here, Yanqing is an abomination of abundance, and as my interpretation usually goes, the only person who knows about this is Jing Yuan. Him and one other - blade, who was confided in the secret shortly after Jing Yuan had taken baby Yanqing in. Jing Yuan made Blade promise that, should the truth ever be uncovered and Jing Yuan punished, Blade is to take Yanqing and protect him. And years down the line, when the truth does finally reveal itself, Blade fulfills his promise. Theoretically, Yanqing would then join the stellaron hunters, albeit unenthusiastically. I haven't actually made any plans for that concept outside of a single one-shot. I still need to finish the actual fic first lmao.

Mara-struck Jing Yuan au. Probably the least original one I have to offer, because there's nothing particularly unique about it aside from one little twist I added that I think differentiates it, and that's that Yanqing doesn't actually kill Jing Yuan, or vice versa. Instead, Jing Yuan, in his current state, attacks everyone and everything except for Yanqing, and actually goes out of his way to keep Yanqing away from danger. The way I rationalize this (and this is me stretching the mara lore a LOT) is that Yanqing is so important to Jing Yuan that he creates a sort of blind spot to the mara when present; he is both innately precious and harbors only positive memories in Jing Yuan's mind, so in a way, he retroactively contradicts the way mara-struck!Jing Yuan would normally perceive him, seeing Yanqing as something to protect rather than attack (i hope that made any sense </3). This would probably never actually happen in canon. I just really like the idea of Jing Yuan's love for his son being so strong that it stays with him even after he's gone mad and can no longer remember what Yanqing means to him.

Progenitor au. Saved this one for last because it's been occupying my entire brain for the past few days. It's based on Dillongoo's Progenitor Albedo series, and by based, I mean it's just the same au, same universe and everything, but HSR. I won't go into the details because I'm planning to make it its own dedicated post as well, but I think its safe to say its becoming my favorite au out of all of these. I already have some designs and original lore cooked up, so hopefully I can post about it soon.

I think that's all of them? Debatable if some of these even count as aus, but who cares. I hope you enjoyed my rambles and found my ideas interesting enough to read through. I'm hoping to eventually give them some more life and make actual content with them.

Ok starting off with a classic. ugly color but excellent coverage and chemical resistance rating with a nice silhouette. love the gas mask. 7/10 would be higher for a better color.

Well, on twitter I compared Porcelain Graves with the WR exclusive skin Dragon Lantern Graves (not the special edition) I'll transcribe it here.

Let's start with splasharts. Wild Rift's Splash arts are generally criticized, many times I don't agree, some of them are of even higher quality than those of League, which is the case of Dragon Lantern Graves. Even though it's not Graves' best splash, or the best skinline splash, it's pretty and pleasant, my only criticism is that it's a little too static, there's not much movement

the Graves porcelain splash has some problems, at first glance it is.. pretty, but whenever you look at it, there seems to be something wrong, it really is a strange splash, and it's not the fault of the artist who made it.

About the VFX, let's be honest, they tend to do something very mediocre with Graves when it comes to visual effects, apart from his legendary skin (which it would be stupid of them to do something too simple) Graves' recent epic skins haven't received as much love.

Even though the Dragon Lantern skin has basically the same sounds as the base skin (i guess) the quality of the VFX is absurdly good (better than his legendary if you allow me to say). The Porcelain one.. is... mediocre.. ofc they couldn't put something cool like Lux and Lissandra's skins, right?

I can't post more than one video in a post, so here are the links so you can see the difference between the VFX of Dragon Lantern Graves and Porcelain Graves.

Ok, let's get to the part that irritated me the most. The narrative..

Yes, we agree that Graves is not a big "important" character in Runeterra, he is not there to be a protagonist. That doesn't mean he can't cause real chaos, and set Bilgewater on fire just in an attempt to get revenge on his current partner. Why did I bring this up? because it is absurd to portray Graves as a pathetic and irrelevant character.

With that in mind, read Porcelain Graves' bio:

They are so fond of abusing the fact that Graves is, in some ways, a comic relief, that they make him the real joke, to the exclusion of everything else about him, and making him "unworthy". It's like they're saying "ugh, should this guy really be here? Who called him?". Whoever wrote the narrative of porcelain skinline seems to hate him, for real..

Now let's go to Dragon Lantern Graves' bio:

Some may not like me but terzo is a RAGING she/he (sorta like my nihil) BUT unlike Nihil she is more fem leaning. In my head he only used the title papa cause she thought it sounded cooler then mama. He has a tummy tattoo of the grucifix also piercings (which were inspired by her older brother secondo cause to me bros loaded with them). Out of all his siblings he’s closest to Secondo because they r actually twins! (It makes sense with my hc of Nihil ok?) she absolutely LOVES her omega they are married. Would actually see she doesn’t like wine? (He’d prefer literally any fruity cocktail over it) honestly I can see she doesn’t like the taste of alcohol at all.

-Air-

Element: Air

Air is actually on the older side, Air is THEE sore joint haver. He’s older after all, but I do think he’s had these problems his whole life and they simply got worse with age. He loves warm baths, especially when he’s molting, helps get rid of those stubborn stuck feathers! Actually sorta has a father child relationship with zeph, because not only was he zephyrs mentor he also did in fact raise them!

The animal Air resembles: Raven!

Element: Air

Zephyr I feel is not nonbinary but I believe it’s called gender void? (Correct me if I’m wrong!) but basically zephyr has never once felt connected to ANY gender or label. Zephyr also sorta just uses all pronouns. Just like their father Zephyrs got some joint pain more specifically arthritis, so that’s why they sit a lot lol. Also a warm bath enjoyer may I add. Zephyr was actually an orphaned squeak! (Which btw ghestie the word for a baby dove is a squeaker and I think ur missing out on using that for terms for baby ghouls) zephyr was just sorta summoned by accident without their bio parents, so Air got super attached to this tiny little baby and went “this is mine now” no one stopped him

The animal Zephyr resembles: canary! (Yellow is a good colour for them this take is inspired by puppsworld on here!)

-Omega-

Element: Quintessence

Omega is big, he’s also very fatherly, he’s also terzo’s beloved man thing. He’s a very *very* lovey dovey ghoul, grand gestures of affection are like his thing. He volunteers at the nursery! He just loves the itty bitty babies and he must protect. A little sad him and terzo never got to have kits of their own , but at the same time he fully understands that it just wasn’t in the cards. Speaking of cards he’s an avid little card trick guy! Lots of the younger ghouls love getting him to do little tricks for them (Phantom especially). He also likes card tricks, does little magic shows for the kiddos

Animal Omega resembles: a house cat!

Element: Quintessence/Air

Firstly. TRANS AETHER HE IS TRANS, second him and Omega are actually very close! (Someone had to mentor him) Aether actually really looks up to Omega, Omegas even the person who helps him with his T-Shots! On another note Aether is scared of needles, but in the “really works himself up about it. Then he gets the shot and is like “that was easy!” So he agrees to it again” kinda way. Also fond of da kits, but like in the “gets baby fever whenever he sees something small and helpless”. He is an endometriosis haver and literally uses his gf (dew) as his own personal purring hot water bottle (I fuckin wish I had a fire gf for my period problems ugh). Lastly him and dewdrop are T4T babyyyy! (Basically he’s me /hj)

Animal Aether most resembles: A black cat and crow!

-Delta- Element: Quintessence/Water Hmmm I feel Delta is jus sorta there yknow? lol. He replaced Omega when he went and retired, and I feel a possible reason for that is because they are closer. I can also see Delta would like watercolour painting? I don't know guy seems like he would lol. I also feel he might have minor health problems relating to his heart Animal Delta most resembles: A orca and a wolf dog! -Mist- Element: Water

*rubs hands together evily* I **love** Mist, and am a firm believer in she's sorta goes for a gender neutral look. That and all pronouns Mist. Outside of the band I feel like she enjoys a lot of just hands on things? Like my one example I will give is she like whittling, and she often gives her carvings to packmates to show she cares. Because I feel like she may not be the best at properly expressing herself (autism?? Idk maybe me too tho.) Animal Mist most resembles: A reef shark

-Alpha- Element: Earth/Fire Alpha is one of the few canon ghouls who I see as a parent. That being Alpha is the (debatably) proud mama of Ifrit, and yknow it's really embarrassing because Alpha's like one of THOSE moms and calls Ifrit "Apple Fritter" in front of his pack. Alpha and omega did kindaaa have a thing at one point, but like it was really short. So now they are simply best buds!(and yes. Alpha just show alll the embarrassing Kit photos of his Apple Fritter lol). Lastly I feel like Alpha is unlabeled, but in short he likes He/Him but fem terms? Like Mom, Lady, Wife etc (that ones a little self projecty whoops) Animal Alpha most resembles: Thorny devil and domesticated goat -Ifrit- Element: Earth/Fire As mentioned above he's the itty little baby of Alpha, and Alpha will remind him every day that he can never escape his kit pictures/j. He's actually a lot smaller then his mom, like he was born and Alpha had to take a double take cause he was a jellybean to him, now is Ifrit actually small? No not at all Alpha is just freakishly big. (so is Omega!). Now because Ifrit was just soo teeny tiny to Alpha, he freaked out over everything in the beginning because "HES SO SMALL WHAT IF HE GETS HURT???". This was not true to any extent, Ifrit was in fact the biggest kit in the nursery. Good thing is Omega sorta just went "are you dumb?", and helped Alpha realize that his kit was in fact not made of glass lol. Ifrit was born on the surface, and actually does view Omega like a second parental figure (it's really sweet trust) Animal Ifrit most resembles: Same as Alpha

-Pebble- Element: Earth Pebble is in fact the smallest earth ghoul the ministry has ever summoned. But despite what some may believe Pebble does not in fact care. He like Mist likes carving and whittling, they are actually friends because of their common interest. Pebble also likes to stargaze at night, he mainly does this with Ivy. Also him an Ivy got this really weird undisclosed relationship, and by that I mean are they dating? Are they not? No one knows

Animal Pebble most resembles: a white tailed deer

Element: Earth

Ivy actually had come from a different ministry location! They transferred over to “our” location. Ivy actually is a big fan of tattoos, Ivy even does them for over ghouls! A lot of Ivys tattoos are actually star themed, because it’s special to Ivy since that’s how they and Pebble bonded.

Oh mountain my beloved…Firstly she’s like everyone’s fav cuddle buddy. Because he just lays there and lets the “likely” smaller ghoul friend snuggle riiight up. To no one’s surprise she hates shoes but also socks, the only time he will wear footwear is when glamoured (because hooves gone), and a lot of the time Mountain will wear them because tile floors are Mountains number 1 enemy. Enjoys tattoos like Ivy but gets more botanical themed ones, alongside “special” ones (I.E things designed by her pack or things his pack has said!). He likes poetry

Oh boy ok first. TransFem Dew. Second oooo she likes her big guy Aether acting all lovey dovey to herrr. Like Dew likes classic romance, but also she is definitely the one who will go “mmm excuse me? He asked for no pickles!”, so it’s still probably the most common view of Dew. Like she’s still a hissy gal but in the, “will defend her loved ones with her life” way. She is literally so attached to her whole pack they are hers and she is theirs (besties for life I say!), she likes having any of her pack do her hair while to listen to metal, (Personally I feel Dew would be a NuMetal fan, that or classic heavy). She loves girl nights with Mist, they are basically sisters! Especially since Mist was the one who taught he bass. I also have a strong feeling she likes BBQ…idky-

first discover weekly of 2025

it's the first monday of 2025! for most people, this sentence is not deserving of an exclamation point. for most people, today means back to work. back to school. away from home. but today is a very important day for avid discover weekly listeners like myself. one of my new years resolutions is one i make every year: to listen to every single discover weekly of the year and try to add at least 100 new songs to my library a week. i was nervous for this one. i had been neglecting my discover weekly for the last month amid all of the holiday craziness and my desire to listen to justin bieber's under the mistletoe album on repeat in order to feel any ounce of christmas spirit. but this first discover weekly of the year has been one of the best in a while. in order to keep myself accountable, i am going to make weekly posts about the songs in my discover weekly and talk about the ones i enjoyed, the albums and artists i will be checking out thanks to it. ok. the rest of these will hopefully not be as long as this one. let me just start talking about the music.

Drream by JGrrey ft. Zombie Juice

JGrrey has appeared on my discover weekly a few times before. i actually found my favorite song by her, Half Full, from my discover weekly back in 2019. when i saw this song and saw that Zombie Juice from Flatbush Zombies was featured, i got excited. his feature feels straight out of the 90s. the chill piano in the back and the saxophone hits the right spot in my brain. i also really love when songs have pauses throughout the song like this one does. her voice saying "do me a favor, pause it" just scratches an itch for me. this song is from her 2023 album If Not Now? and i already had another song from this project in my liked songs. i think i will definitely be sitting down with this album after this. i also learned that she opened for billie eilish on her european tour!

PULL UP by Internet Girl

i had never heard of Internet Girl before, but after reading that their spotify bio says "for fans of Jean Dawson + Paris Texas + Teezo Touchdown + EKKSTACY" it all made sense. ever since Teezo Touchdown coined the term "rock and boom" to describe his style of music as "rnb with the intensity of rock and the penmanship of hiphop" i have been obsessed. that is actually what led me to get more into some of these other listed artists like Jean Dawson and Paris Texas. i really enjoyed this song from Internet Girl for the same reasons i like these other artists. i have been really enjoying this kind of hardcore punk rap with crazy guitars and drums and synth. they are also a trio hailing from South Africa which is always cool to see. my only qualm is that this song is so short! but all the more reason to go listen to the rest of their discography.

SON OF THE MORNING by Jøjo

ok i literally thought this was Tyler, the Creator when it came on. even down to some of the lines and cadences he uses ("with my chest out, y'all chest in" a la MANIFESTO from CMIYGL). obviously, it sounds good. it does just feel like. a Tyler song. the Chase The Devil sample is awesome. or it might technically be sampling the sample of the sample from Jay-Z's Lucifer produced by Kanye West. this song is from Jøjo's debut album released last year called ROMANCE DAWN. the obvious influence from other artists makes me curious to see what the rest of the album is like. everyone has to get their inspiration from somewhere, and that is made evident in this song. and it's probably why it has 200,000+ more streams than any of his other songs. i will be listening to this album just to see what else Jøjo has to offer.

update, i played this song for my partner and they started investigating. even people on reddit don't really know what's going on with this guy.

Enjoy Yourself by berryblue

this song sits in that sweet spot between pop and hyperpop. excitable pop. it doesn't have the sped-up high-pitched vocals, but it still has the other fun sounds going on. i didn't really care too much about this song. it was fun and cute. when i saw that berryblue was featured on "The Sound of H&M" playlist, it made sense. that's what this kind of stuff was made for. it did help for a moment to fill the PinkPantheress sized hole in my heart.

Praying for You by Neema Nekesa

speaking of the PinkPantheress sized hole in my heart. this song by ethiopian artist Neema Nekesa comes in at one minute and 47 seconds. and when it comes on it takes over my whole brain. the constant drum beat in the background plus her deep, smooth voice. this song came out in may of last year, and she dropped a second single alongside it just last month. she does not have an album out right now, but it looks like she's gearing up for one. i did already listen to the second single Believe Me, also short, at one minute and 30 seconds, and it was just as good! i'm looking forward to keeping tabs on her.

Akira by MICHELLE

i liked this one! i have listened to MICHELLE a bit before and always enjoyed them. it sounds like a bunch of their other stuff that i like. i have never sat and listened through one of their projects. this song is from their 2024 album Songs About You Specifically, which the title alone is enough to intrigue me. this song also gave me a kinda Still Woozy vibe in the beginning that drew me in with the funky sounds!

SOFALOVE by Javi Vera

this one was funnnnn. i had never heard of Javi Vera, and when i went to his page to see what recommended artists i might know, the only one that showed up was Hotel Ugly. it's kind of electronic with some cool bass riffs in the back. the lyrics about thinking someone was the love of your life and wondering why now you're sleeping on the couch. i was really into this. this song was from his 2024 album Junior Varsity. my only qualm is that this song is so short! but it's fun enough to where i don't mind playing it on repeat.

In The City, Outta Town by Yeek

i was really excited to see yeek on my discover weekly. i was obsessed with his 2021 album Valencia, and his song I'm Trying featuring Dominic Fike was one of my favorite discover weekly discoveries from 2023. the slow tempo and his smooth voice. im into it. this is from his album he dropped last year that i didnt know about.

take time by Isaiah kaleo

this was one i didn't add to my library. at first. upon relistening to write about it, i had remembered liking the saxophone in the beginning. about halfway through it picks up this fun percussion beat and picks the tempo up a bit. i liked this, it was nice! i think i just didn't care much for the vocals at first, but the music saved it.

TOOYUNG by colin!

i really love the resurgence of the 90s style rap among young artists. colin! mixes rap and jazz so well. it was so fun and funky and loud. i liked this.

Whatever by Cadillac Dale

getting samples from popular songs is one of my favorite parts of discover weekly. this song was sampled in Jack Harlow's 2023 hit Lovin' On Me, a song i was embarrassingly obsessed with. it was cool to hear the original, and i will be adding it to my playlist of samples!

ice (feat. BAMBII) by Ragz Originale ft. BAMBII

why so many songs under 2 mins it's killing me! this song was good! i really love the choppy sound mixed with the synth. neo-rnb is one of my favorite genres. their voices make it so smooth but it's still so engaging! i just wish i could have been engaged for longer than 2 minutes!

Maybe It's You by Pump Action

this might be my favorite song from this discover weekly! fun little indie moment. i really love the part where they say "i'd say green ain't your color, it looks better on me". their spotify artist bio says "your new favorite band", and i'm excited to test that.

The Suburbs by Bickle

this was one of the only ones i didn't save to my library. i just didn't care much for the vocals or the lyrics, which is usually the main thing for me when listening to new music. i don't have much to say about this. there were some cool sounds in the back that i thought were fun, and towards the end of the song they had a cool Daft Punk-esque vocal filter on which is always good to hear. this is one of those songs that i do think i would like if i heard it when i was in a different mood.

okayyy yeah. it's a leak. unreleased music. whatever you want to call it to make yourself feel better about listening to this. listen, i am just like any other frank ocean fan: starving. and this song obviously sounded incredible. but i can't help but feel dirty when leaked songs are uploaded by random spotify profiles that are probably just doing so to promote their own music. this song specifically is from the fan made "Lonny Breaux Collection" which was just a bunch of unreleased demos thrown together and leaked online as an "album". i don't have much more to say about this one. other than i hope frank is doing okay.

Middle Name by ThaMonster

another song i didn't save. it was cool to hear, ThaMonster is a rapper from France, and this song is just him recounting his life story. it was cool to hear, and the smooth piano track in the back was sweet. just not for me!

Lejos de Ti by The Marias

obviously this song is beautiful. i just got over No One Noticed and now with this song on my discover weekly, i fear i cannot avoid listening to their new album any longer. i have heard so many good things about Submarine. to a point where i have almost been scared to listen to it.

Running Back Boy by WonderBag

i really liked this one!! an alternative indie joint with some fun guitar riffs. i liked the lyrics from this one a lot. "i said i like you when you leave me alone. don't take it wrong i'd rather be on my own."

Hit Me Where It Hurts by Caroline Polachek

this one stuck with me all day after hearing it on my drive to work. i have been meaning to have a sit down with this album ever since So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings took over my brain after hearing it for the first time back in 2022. i am now seeing that any song i hear from her has that effect on me. i also recall riley from HIVEMIND praising her 2023 album Desire, I Want To Turn Into You, so she's been on my radar for a while. i'm excited to dive into her music some more.

Let's Go Back by Jungle

like most people, i had an intense Jungle phase last summer. with Back On 74 taking over the internet, i got reallyyy into their 2023 album Volcano. this song though. it just sounded exactly like Back On 74!! still sounded awesome, of course. that song rocked. it just felt like a scrapped song from their last album.

Good Guys by chlothegod

chlothegod i love you. everything i have heard from her, i have loved. her COLORS Studio performance of UGOMDN lives in my brain. i have listened to a few songs from this project, Nearly Straight. i think she is such a cool girl. she's not afraid to be loud and cool and funny. the first line being "not to be vicious but good guys are bitches" is enough to make me lock in and hear every single thing she has to say.

Zodiac Killer by Khalil?

i'm a sucker for any song that talks about zodiac signs honestly. i think it's so cheeky and silly. plus naming it zodiac killer is good. i liked this. the slowdown at the end wraps it up nicely. this one was fun.

Self by Cleo Sol

cleo sol is one of those artists that i think are really talented, but their music just. isn't for me. i did really enjoy a few songs from her 2020 album Rose in the Dark. i do love a "save me from myself" theme which is made evident in this song. it's just a little too slow for me and my brain.

Hooptie by Romeo + Juliet

oh my god i loved this album. i did listen to this album when it came out in 2022, but this song must have been one that slipped through the cracks and i never added to my library. all of Romeo + Juliet's music reminds me of the feeling of warm, humid summer nights with your lover. arguably one of the best feelings in the world. his voice is insane. i really love the speaking parts in the song, and other songs on the album, also. the crazy synth bells in the background. that's just their sound. and i eat it up. the other songs on this album are some of my favorites from the New Jersey artist including Gem and 500 Days of Summer. this song is awesome and it has definitely reignited my love for Romeo + Juliet. it also reminded me of their 2024 release Superbad that i had been telling myself to sit down and listen to. a lot on my to-do list.

Ash (feat. Deb Never) by Matt Champion ft. Deb Never

i love you matt champion. i loved his 2024 album Mika's Laundry. and this song reminded me of it. this song is a sad one, which i try to avoid, but Matt and Deb are just so good at making these painfully sad songs that aren't a wallowing around crying kind of sad, but a sudden realization after reflection kind of sad. the "why don't you ask me out anymore" is enough to make my heart sink into my asshole. this song perfectly encapsulates how it feels to watch someone fall out of love with you but wanting to keep it going strong. a feeling i am far too familiar with. this song will be going on my sad playlist.

giving by GIOVANNA ft. Austin Marc

this song has that fun "bubbly" sound effect that i loveee in songs. this song, like a bunch of the songs on this playlist, has that electronic/rnb fusion sound. it's also under two minutes, but it's okay because it's mostly her just repeating "giving you my love" which is fun in it's own way.

French Tips (feat. Coco Jones) by A$AP Ferg ft. Coco Jones

ok i think that A$AP Ferg just isn't for me! spotify wants me to listen to him sooo bad. the only song from him i have liked is Shabba ft. A$AP Rocky. this song was alright, and Coco Jones always delivers on her features. i really liked the cover art for this song though.

Sunset For The Dead by Tommy Newport

i didn't add this one to my library. again, didn't care much for the vocals on this one. that's not to say i don't like his voice. i really love his 2023 song Tangerine. this one just didn't do it for me.

SALAD by Oblé Reed ft. ARDN

i was surprised to realize i had multiple liked songs from both of these artists. i knew the names looked familiar. this song was good, i love a good collab where both artists just flow so good together. they go back and forth between singing and rapping in a perfect way. i wish they had the lyrics up on spotify, because some of these lines were making me giggle and i would love to read the rest of them. this is another prime example of that alternative rnb sound. there are even parts of this song that sound straight out of J. Cole's discography.

Sometimes by Cammo17th ft. Twelve'len

this was a nice song to close out my first discover weekly of the year. even the lyrics, telling me to sit back and get comfortable. made me excited for all of the other music i'm going to get to consume this year. i have liked songs from both Cammo17th and Twelve'len and was excited to hear them together. like i said about SALAD. i love a good collab. the way they sound together reminds me of the melodic chemistry that Saba and Smino have. this song is from Cammo17th's 2024 album Melodic Sounds from the Mound, which features Sick and Tired ft. WESTSIDE BOOGIE, a song that came out in 2022 that i loved. i will probably go listen to the whole album considering how much i liked both of these songs.

so I found someone who writes amazing content so I decided to follow them. I binged lots of their fics earlier today and when I checked their profile again later, their profile doesn’t show. It seems they might have blocked me and I don’t know why :( I commented that I loved their fics and the comments are removed. my profile has my age and I am decently active on reposting & commenting on fics. This happened to me one other time too so I just am confused I guess :( I tried to message them but it said it wouldn’t go through so that makes me think I’m blocked? first thing you gotta remember that in all likelihood, your getting blocked is nothing personal. reasons for blocking someone on tumblr include but aren't limited to:

you don't have your age (range) listed in your bio/clearly visible on your blog

the age you have listed doesn't adhere to boundaries a blog has set (f.e. you're a minor, or it only says "18+" which i know many writers don't accept)

your blog is completely empty i.e. you don't post/reblog stuff

you don't reblog other people's writing

you spam like posts

you've never changed the default icon/header to something else

people don't vibe with the things you reblog

your theme is a colour they don't like

a lot of the time, it comes down to everyone's preferences. god knows i've been blocked by people and didn't understand why, but frankly it's none of my business. most likely, you won't ever find out, either. everyone is creating their own online space, and sometimes that means having a quick blocking finger. i'm sorry that you won't be able to read those stories anymore but you have to accept creators' boundaries.

however, there are some things you can do and try to prevent getting blocked in the future. these are only a couple of suggestions around tumblr etiquette i've picked up on over the years; if anyone else wants to chip in here, please do!!

1. make sure your blog is, by all appearances, that of a human being

this might sound stupid because of course, you are a human, but with the recent bot wars it's all the more important to double check for red flags.

check your url. does it include a random string of numbers, lots of dashes, just a name and an adjective? all of these have been indicative of porn bots and people might block you on sight.

change your icon and your header. yes, both of them. there are lots of creators on here who make wonderful fandom related headers and icons, or you can create your own with canva. just be sure to follow creators' rules and preferably reblog their creation

change your blog title. if your account is new, it will just say "untitled", which is another indication you might not be a human. use quotes, song lyrics, anything you enjoy

add a bio. this is where you put your name or nickname (you can make one up) age, age range, links to second blogs (if applicable), more quotes, whatever. i prefer my bio short and to the point, but that doesn't have to be you.

important: do this for all blogs and side blogs you use regularly. if you have a second blog for reblogging fics, you need to put up your age there as well, or at least visibly link to your main blog so creators can see you're not a minor. the harder it is to verify that you're an adult, the more likely it is that you will get blocked

2. know the different kinds of interactions on tumblr and navigate them well

there's a difference between liking, commenting, reblogging, and reposting, and it's important. lots of people use reblogging and reposting interchangeably, but that's actually incorrect and can lead to serious mishaps. let's dissect them one by one.

liking.

you're familiar with the like from other social media platforms. you tap a post twice or hit the little heart at the bottom of the post and it's added to your likes. wonderful, right? well. tumblr is a little different.

tumblr doesn't have an algorithm. let me say that again. there is no algorithm on tumblr. i guess there is, on the for you page, but that doesn't count because it's really shit. the only important thing on tumblr is your dashboard, and your dashboard only shows original posts and the reblogs of those posts from people you follow.

no one cares about your likes. your likes don't do shit. that's why creatives on here keep talking about reblogs. you need to reblog things on tumblr in order for them to get seen. it's a snowballing effect. likes are nice and all, but they're private. they're not contributing to a story or an artwork being seen by more people. they're essentially empty interaction. what's more, should a post get deleted for whatever reason, that post is gone for you forever.

i know some people use their likes as bookmarks for things they want to look at later, but i would strongly urge you not to do that. people block serial likers, because most of the time it is, sadly, very unlikely that they will come back and actually interact with the post again. that's just the way it is. we can thank tiktok and instagram for that. again, tumblr doesn't have an algorithm. if you want to genuinely support and encourage people on here, you need to do more than liking.

commenting.

this is a step up from liking, because you're actually interacting now. a comment will show up in the activity of the person whose post you left it on and of the original poster (op)—more on that distinction in a minute. comments are encouraged especially on ask/answer type posts, or as a reply to an earlier reblog.

when it comes to fanfic, there are, again, pros and cons. you can only leave a comment from your main blog, which means that even if you have a second account where you reblog fics, there's not necessarily a link between the two. this can lead to your getting blocked if you've never reblogged a fic to your main blog. on the other hand, if people comment on your fic without reblogging it, but they do reblog other people's fics, that can also rub creators the wrong way because it creates a strange sort of hierarchy: why those fics? why not mine?

important thing to note: i am not saying that to make anyone feel bad about "just" commenting, i just want you to be aware that this might go on in a creator's head. it has in mine. i'm very aware that this is a me problem, but it's also a reason why people might get blocked out of the blue, which is why i wanted to bring it up.

reblogging.

ah yes, reblogging. reblogging is the thing that makes tumblr tumblr, and it's so easy to do. you just hit the little 🔁 symbol at the bottom of the post, and boom, it's reblogged to your own blog. everyone who follows you can now see it on their dashboard, and if they reblog it, their followers can see it, and so on and so forth. every time someone reblogs a post from you, you will get a notification in your activity, and so will the op.

reblogs are the heart and soul of tumblr. yes, original posts are (usually) individual creations, but the community aspect of this site is born through the reblog. there are different variations on how to reblog. all are valid, because all help spreading posts around.

the empty reblog is the quickest option. there's literally a quick reblog option on mobile: if you hold your finger on the reblog button for a second or so, you will see your icon appear. if you swipe in that direction, the post gets immediately reblogged to your blog. something similar can be done on desktop with the xkit browser extension. it's fast, it's easy, it gets the job done. it's perfect for when you like a post but don't have anything specific to say/reply.

the reblog with tags is the second fastest option. tags, on tumblr, are sort of the sotto voce version of comments. yes, you can use tagging to organise your blog and make your posts easily findable (is that a word?) but the real fun begins when little asides are added. you can keysmash in the tags. you can put your thoughts in the tags. you can go full caps without it looking overwhelming in the actual post. if you're just starting to comment on things, the tags are a great place to start, because the actual post will keep looking the same; the tags are just a little additional bonus for both you and the creator. this is what you would use for the majority of posts that aren't works of art in any way, too, like text posts you want to find again, polls, photographs etc.

the reblog with additions though? oh boy. that's the real stuff. imagine it as clipping on your thoughts to the post, right there for everyone to see. you can add gifs, and memes, and change the font, and change the colour, and scream, and keysmash, and ramble without limitations. it's like catnip for the op. if you reblog a fic, a moodboard, a piece of art, a gifset, whatever it is, and you put your thoughts underneath? man, it's amazing.

side note: if you're new to commenting on people's fics and you don't know what to say, i highly recommend referring to this post. (btw i linked my reblog so it can act as an example of the different forms of adding to a post: there were other reblogs before mine, and i've added tags. useful in its content and as an example!!)

reposting.

this is where we need to be careful. reblogs are great. reposts are theft. where's the difference? reposting refers to you copying another creator's work, whatever it may be, and creating a new post without any indication to the original person's efforts. even if you do include their url, you will most likely get reported and blocked. because now, you've become the op of this copied post, and the actual creator will get absolutely nothing.

you will most likely have seen banners in fic communities that state something along the lines of "don't copy or translate any of my work to this or any other site". that's what this refers to. this would also include the following:

posting another writer's story to ao3/wattpad/another fic site of your choice without their permission. you can absolutely never do this. "but what if"—NO. never. fullstop.

some creators allow translations of their work, but you can only ever share those with their explicit permission and proper credit.

saving a gif to use without linking back to the artist. this is maybe my biggest gripe. yes, i know this site sucks at making gifs searchable, but still, you can't do this. and no, "credit goes to the original artist" doesn't count, where did that bullshit even come from? it makes me so mad. that's not giving credit, that's being lazy.

3. be nice, and have fun

this is fandom, and it's supposed to be a hobby. this is supposed to be a good time. none of us are getting paid for any of this. yes, we're all passionate about what we do, whether we're looking at other people's creations or we make them ourselves. we're fans of that common thing, and isn't that great?

just a little more internet etiquette that's not really tumblr specific but could be a good reminder for everyone:

not everything is for you, and that's okay

if something's not for you, scroll away

if you don't like what someone is posting, ignore them. mute them. block them.

do not ever, and i mean ever, send anyone hate. you don't know who's on the other side of the screen. block them and move on. life's too fucking short.

don't correct people's grammar/spelling. only assholes do that. if you can't help yourself and they're a person you've interacted with before, shoot them a private message and be nice about it.

don't offer unsolicited advice. i don't care if you want to give constructive criticism to help the other person. unless they've explicitly asked you to do that, don't. you'll get blocked so quick, and you'll ruin someone's day.

if you're reading a fic that's not finished yet, don't ask for an update. yes, you're excited for the story to continue. but "part 2", "when's the next chapter out", "more please" and so on are all things that put pressure on creators whether that's your intention or not. it gives us the impression that what we've already put out is never enough. and that sucks. by all means, be excited about what comes next, but not like this.

read!! old!! fics!!!! the beauty of tumblr being the way it is is that there's zero shame in interacting with older posts. it's not like you're liking a seven year old post on instagram. in fact, if you're commenting on a seven year old fic/gifset/moodboard/artwork on tumblr, i can guarantee you're gonna make that creator's day.

shaking the zhen and chameleon and zhen and han dynamics. it could have been so. AUGH. i keep rotating them to the point where i made a fill-in-the-blanks sort of concept to their whole thing.

ok in my personal headcanon zhen's bio parents were probably part of han's criminal group. thick as thieves (ha). they have a kid. which... isn't ideal since they're active in the criminal underworld, but it ain't han's business unless it actively impedes on their whole thing.

and then zhen's parents are killed off by whatever made chameleon rule juniper city. and now its han's business since he Acquired Baby after a set of circumstances that make him feel obligated to take care of her. then something something canon events happen. zhen tries to steal from the chameleon. the chameleon keeps her. zhen never comes back to her first family.

i feel like chameleon is spiteful enough to sic zhen on han and his group (both to teach the group a lesson and to test zhen). so that adds fuel to the fire. han is heartbroken, there's a callback to the Rules Of The Street (he got hurt! and no one cares about his feelings), he tries to keep his band of thieves together.

(as a sidebar. but you know what. as much as i love han being a pangolin. in this concept i think it would've been cleaner/jumped through less hoops if he was a fox. of course, this adds another sense of complication if she refers to another fox as just an 'old mentor', but zhen's already an unreliable narrator as she is so that actually adds layers if played right. plus its a bit of a knife twist to have your estranged daughter just refer to you as a near stranger.)

I paused as I walked into the annex, not seeing Jenkins or any of the others. Running a hand through my hair, I picked up my book from where Jenkins had put it and sat down on the steps to read. Tea appeared later which meant that Jenkins was around somewhere but was choosing not to interact with me. Which was fine. He wasn’t who I had come to see anyway. A shoulder bumping against mine made me finally put my book to the side.

“Hey.” Jake whispered as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I wrapped my arms around his torso and buried my face into his shoulder.

“hey yourself.” I whispered back. “Success?” Jake nodded.

“yeah. Got the artifact. Saved the world.” He laughed. “All in a days work.” I nodded and hugged him tighter. “I’m ok you know. No bumps and bruises this time around.” I nodded again. That’s when he noticed the tears falling onto his shirt. “Hey. None of that now. What’s wrong?” Jake wrapped his other arm around me and pulled me into his chest.

“just work.” I mumbled as I let him pull me into his lap. “Might lose my job.”

“what?” Jake exclaimed. “How can you lose your job? You’re amazing. They love you over there.” I shrugged, pulling back to look at him.

“those changes they’re making that I told you about?” Jake nodded. “Well they want me to completely change my hours but aren’t being flexible about it at all. They want me to change everything to fit their needs when I can’t. Add in the commute is already terrible and unreliable. I can’t change my schedule to what they want it to be. So I’m standing my ground.” Jake smiled softly at me.

“but that’s a good thing.” He said, eyebrow furrowing. “The standing your ground thing. Not the them being assholes thing.”

“except my boss said that it’s going to be a problem and the last person who refused to change their schedule quit. But the way he said it made it sound like the person didn’t have much of a choice.” I explained, sniffling and trying to wipe my eyes. Jake kissed my head and tightened his grip on me. “I’m not going down without a fight. I’m going to make them fire me if it comes down to it.”

“good. Collect unemployment. Smart thinking.” Jake agreed. I nodded as I played with the hem of his shirt.

“but the fact that it actually could happen…and the way I’m handling it to begin with…” I sighed and looked up at jake from my place on his shoulder. “I’m scared jake.” Leaning over, he rested his head against mine.

“it’s alright to be scared. You don’t know what is going to happen next.” He whispered. “But I’ll tell you what. If anything happens, you can always move in with me. And I can help you find a new job. You can hang out here in the meanwhile. I’m sure Jenkins would appreciate the help.”

“depends on the help offered!” Jenkins called from somewhere in the annex. I chuckled and shook my head.

“my help researching Jenkins!” I called back. There was some affirmative grumbling and jake laughed.

“there. See?” He pressed another kiss to my head. “That’s sorted. Everything is going to work out (Y/N).” I nodded as I leaned into jake again.

X-Men oc crap

Ok so soon I'm going to draw all my X-Men ocs but for now I'm gonna tell you about them. Tw - really op ocs that would probably get nerfed in the MCU and probably the comics

Tyler - Tyler is an albino kid who's half Chinese and Caribbean, his mutant ability is Light and Heat manipulation. Much like Dazzler I know but I wanted to make him more advanced? If you could say that about him. Tyler's power allows him to generate light in many ways including, flashbangs, lightbeams and light constructs that can become non visible to the naked eye, his heat manipulation grants him thermal vision, being able to feel peoples body heat though he has no control over when the ability activates, and he could also manipulate people's body heat. Now of course I have some weaknesses for him because you can't make somebody that OP without some type of weakness, 1 of his weakness includes him taking in sunlight as a power source if he has or takes in too much sunlight then he will soon start to actually burn himself alive, he will get severe sunburns and sometimes blisters if it's that bad all over his body, his powers also don't work in the dark and it barely works in the cold.

Yu Tina (Tw - shes really fuckin op) - Yu Tina is Vietnamese her mutant ability is Bio Quantum manipulation, Yu Tina can manipulate living things mainly the human body to a quantum level. Now I don't have much about her powers nor do I have much about her yet nor do I even have weaknesses for her yet so I'm technically still working on her but she and Tyler were my 1st ocs when it came to the X- men so she's gonna be up here

Lydia - Now Lydia wasn't going to be the next one on my list but I have another OC and I made them a race and then gave her features of let's say a myth from her culture and I don't know if that's a racist or not. Anyways, Lydia's power is plant manipulation now I don't know if anybody in the marvel universe already has that type of power but her power is more focused on communication with plants almost like Poison ivy, Now I made her so op to the point where I had a little scenario in my head where she was so sad that the girl she liked rejected her that she went into a horrible sadness that caused a famine almost worldwide. Another quirk that comes with Lydia's manipulation is whenever she's feeling strong emotions her hair will actually sprout flowers based on her emotions and sometimes the environment around her will also change. She's also essentially immortal since anytime she would die her body would be gathered up by the grass around her and put into pile where a flower would sprout from the ground and wrap up her body that's when like the whole healing process happens where she just stuck in the flower until her body is put back together and after that she will come out of the flower completely healed, but like she will also come out of the flower butt ass naked so that kind of sucks.

OKKKK so that's actually not even half of my ocs but since I wrote so much I'm going to give you information about the rest tomorrow or whenever I feel like it. Now I don't know if anybody is really gonna see this post but if anybody has any flaws you see about my OCS or anything I could really add to some of my OCS please tell me, give me your thoughts and views nicely And bye have a nice day 👋❤❤

Could I ask for advice? I am not yet completely understanding of tumblr or how everything works. I'm not certain what a bio is or where to put it.

I have so far avoided posting a pinned post, or having personal information in my blog description (<is that bio?). I have preferred just having posts- I am also not very comfortable reblogging things yet. I'm not certain how to explain why, but that is the form my anxiety has taken in managing my account appearance. Is it ok to leave it as is?

As far as changes I am slow on that as well, and might take a bit- but again I will try to hurry because I never want you to feel unsafe. You are worth any extent of kindness

So if I may ask- what is a blog bio, and where would I be supposed to put my pronouns? I think others have explained a bit on this but sometimes I don't understand immediately. Is this something that will make people feel unsafe? And may I ask why? I understand if this is uncomfortable, but I always want to be honest and genuine, and learn rather than pretending I know everything. I am autistic and often take a long time to understand things socially. Could not having pronouns be seen as a rejection of my trans friends?

I also have believed they/them to be the sort of default- as a sign of respect for my trans people I say they/them if I am uncertain. I want to help people feel validated with they/them, rather than assume and say something that is not who they are

My pronouns are she/her! :D but I am ok with they/them as normal which is another reason I hadn't put them.

I have several friends I plan on asking for advice on this as well, but I would love advice from your perspective. I want to make sure your concerns specifically are cared for since you asked. ok honestly im ngl ive confused myself now after looking at the daniel story leaks again and sleeping on it. bailu theory status is pending its literally schrödingers rn im so torn. does the timeline enable for it or not???? it Would explain some things but hhhhhh i cant make sense of it yet.

at first i was like yeah p sure its not happening bc of the dragon heart fuckery and how baiheng wasnt there for the entire course of events only arriving once shit was going down but. what if. df used the heart partially for resurrecting yx??? and then as baiheng sacrificed herself i do find it curious that they specify only drops of blood and hair remaining of her post-vaporization. which are. classic sources of DNA .

and we know dan feng went berserk with his dragon form so its plausible he temporarily regained the vidyadharas ancient but currently long lost ability to just go fuck all gene splicing manipulate biology and living tissue. that ability + baiheng DNA remains + the dragon heart is just hmm.

another thing i realized that i didnt yesterday is that bailu being recognized as the next imbibitor lunae even if her powers are lacking implies she Has the dragon heart (bc its like. not just A vidyadhara heart its clearly its own thing and a huge deal with a critical role in the continued high elder reincarnation line and longs legacy being passed down). so like its clear dan feng had to pass the dragon heart down to her reincarnation line at some point but as the vidyadhara couldnt get him to budge on the hearts status in the shackling prison i doubt it was anytime after the sedition. the IL position has been passed down its just that it wasnt done properly.

so like im thinking there might actually be two separate resurrections happening consecutively?

first yingxing who is possibly either dead or dying as dan feng initially arrives already but the initial attempt at resurrection goes horribly wrong and an emanator (?) of abundance appears + the arbor activates and leads to things like the toxic mist explosion described by the vidyadhara eggs that kills a lot of vidyadhara and eggs instantly. potential resurgence/triggered plague of people being infected by mara on the luofu? yx potentially becomes marastruck then despite being short-lived? (also if the emanator is literally shuhu then... yeah adds up w blades talent name)

and if yx now marastruck is on a clock for how long he lasts before permanently losing his self i can see that being when df uses the dragon heart to stop the mara from proceeding further through bruteforcing permanence to overpower yaoshis abundance as the core fueling his immortality - which is the basic principle behind the draught of draconic surge and how vidyadhara bone marrow is already confirmed to interact with mara. & this would prolly be when df loses control of his form? both fighting the emanator and trying to desperately help yx in time

n like the thing the storys a bit unclear on is just at what point yx had already acquired that perfected immortality of abundance + permanence. but like he must have by the time baiheng arrives on the starskiff and sacrifices herself right? bc whatever baiheng brought w her (some say lan, some say a stellaron) clearly vaporized everything in the vicinity and was enough to strike down the emanator and/or at least halt the crisis with the arbor and everything. and regular mara struck dont come back from that whereas blades still kicking

so with the like mara/arbor/emanator of yaoshi portion of the seditions initial lead up done i feel like baihengs arrival is when the Actual sedition (in terms of an armed rebellion) begins? with the vidyadhara confused but many who survived the initial stage still choosing to stand with dan feng and fight against the arriving cloud knights and all the abominations of abundance

so would this be when the 2nd resurrection and baiheng possibly becoming that furry-draconic mutant abomination happens?? and also how the position/power of the IL ends up passed down although not properly to then-mutated-baiheng and eventually-bailu by df using the either damaged or outright incomplete dragon heart (if he put most of it in yingxing) in the process.

so like in this scenario the 'sin' that yingxing and dan feng share might also be the decision to go fuck it we ball mess with life and death and biology even further (as if the mass casualties so far werent enough) and resurrect their fallen comrade as the new high elder line except it comes out wrong and horrible and jingliu has to put that beast down.

this would also explain part of where the somber tone in blades voiceline about dan heng comes from - if he still understands that the motivation behind that 2nd resurrection was at least to make amends in some desperate way when all they had available was baihengs DNA, a damaged dragon heart with dan fengs hidden DLC cas9 crispr vidyadhara powers still accessible to him. like theres nowhere near the pained sympathy and shared guilt that the tone in the dh line conveys when he talks about jingliu or jing yuan in comparison. it has to be more complicated than "he made me immortal. NOT a fan 0/5"

anyway dunno if its just me but this just makes the beloved thing even more confusing. on one hand "turning the beloved into a monstrosity" really lines up with how the xianzhou views the mara-struck and blade views himself as like. a bass boosted mara-struck on steroids who literally cannot die unlike normal mara victims. and "the one who buried the beloved is you" doesnt kinda sound right for baiheng when all she left behind was just enough genetic material for dan fengs terrible horrible awful no-good cooking class - not a lot to bury. also burying the beloved fits blades melodramatic inner dialogue style and tone with how he considers yingxing already dead and strictly uses 3rd person towards his past self. but also its hard to argue that what happened to baiheng IF the transmutation resurrection theory is real doesnt also warrant a match for "monstrosity". like bailus cool now but that first mutation sure wasnt. she got changed species with no say on the matter

the ambiguity is strong enough that a part of me wonders if its on purpose for censorship reasons tbh. Ajhdjd so my main story is set in a made up town in Florida (I actually don’t know why I chose florida) called Beckenshire. Which was an industrial town in the early 1900s-1930’s. Around the 1970-80’s they built a nuclear plant but demolished it pretty quickly after they noticed it wasn’t all that safe.

This world is basically like our own except with cryptids and monsters. We don’t know where they came from, they’ve been here since the start of time it seems, but they usually live closer to nuclear plants/ruins. Due to the fact they get power from it.

So Beckenshire has a lot of these monsters, and an important one for later is the Sprites which are little spirits that inhabit random inanimate objects and float them around. You can bribe them with sweet treats if you want that random object back. There is also a Spirite 2.0 (i don’t have a name for them) that inhabits dead bodies. Or they make a deal with people on their deathbed (methaporically and literally) that they’ll inhabit their heart to keep the body running for a bit longer but the body will slowly decay.

So onto the characters! (sorry this is so long and I’m not even finished)

You’ve got Ryan Beckett, on the school’s basketball team and plays dnd often. He has a fear of deer thanks to seeing the Devil Heart (a massive deer skeleton with human teeth) in the woods when he was younger. Later in the story he gets his arm chopped off by Carmela (another oc) and gets a werewolf-ish bite from a monster (idk which yet) that gives him yellow pupils, horns, pointy teeth and ears.

Carmela Rivera Luzardo is a soccer player and her and ryan have a rivals to lovers kind of thing thanks to the fact the basketball team has way better funding by the school. She lives with her dad and her mum is in the city for ‘work reasons’. Later in the story she joins a cult called Children of The Woods (which is important later) and cuts ryan’s arm off and ends up having to gain her friends trust again. She didn’t want to cut his arm off i might add.

Dana Bernard is the last of this trio and they are amazing in my opinion. She lives with her two dads at home, when she was very young her mum died of cancer and her dad recently remarried to a guy named Jose. (Her bio dad is called Noah and he has a whole crisis after figuring out he’s bisexual thanks to the fact his wife is dead and he has a bunch of guilt about that still) Later in the story, she gets their eye plucked out by mermaids (their called Nereids) and they have a big fear of water from then on. A monster pretended to be her late mum and tried to drown them.

Oliver Biswar is a side character (kind of?) he’s 10 years old and has bright glowing blue eyes from a sprite accident. He loves dinosaurs.

Now I have a lot of story for the parents but I’ll shorten it down.

Janette Biswar is the current leader of the cult Carmela joined, which was a cult her family made in the 50’s to worship the monsters. She’s seen as a god/messenger of the gods. She adopted oliver after her sister died. (Her sister was oliver’s mum). She tricks Carmela into joining the cult by using her mum against her. She also ends up in a relationship (?) with ryan’s mum, Adele. Which isn’t the best.

Adele Beckett is a monster hunter and she is married to Josh beckett who is a trans guy. They began dating before Josh knew he was trans so they were a sapphic couple and Adele has a lot of ‘diet’ transphobia towards Josh and her son Ryan. She also has a lot of arophobia towards Janette (Janette is an aro lesbian). The two end up in a relationship which is more a sexual one then romantic since Janette has stated multiple times she is not interested in a romantic one. Both of them where fine with that until Adele did catch feelings for Janette and did that thing a lot of people do which is ignore what the person has previously said and tell them their heartless. Also Janette had no idea Adele was cheating on Josh. That kind of brings us to Janette’s first death which is her burning along with the cult building thanks to a molotov cocktail that Adele had.
