Danny's in his last year of high school, only a month away from graduating. No more overdue assignments or late-night cram sessions. No more crowded hallways and after-school detentions. No more stress.

He's so close he can almost taste it.

But then Dani shows up, injured and whimpering and collapsing into his lap.

He may or may not have scared the daylights out of a few lower years and almost body-slammed Dale trying to get Dani out the door and to the nearest location with first aid supplies.

So what if he spent almost an hour holed up with Dani in the nurse's office patching her up while Mr Lancer and the paramedics he called tried to coax him into unlocking the door. So what if his Obsession slipped up after not seeing Dani for more than six months, only to have her show up looking ready to destabilise and melt into a puddle of goo.

The worst part of it all is that suddenly everyone's got the wrong idea.

Over the course of his high school career, Danny's endured a lot. He's gone from being a promising student to a school-skipping degenerate with barely passable grades and a weak bladder. It's bad enough he'll always be the Fenton kid, but now he's the Fenton kid who's secretly a teen father with a kid he's been hiding since freshman year. Now he's the talk of the town and he can't escape the pointed whispers and invasive questions.

He was so, so close.

( lily james| female| she/her ) — was that amity walker passing through diagon alley? those close to them say they remind them of a flush of pink cheeks, rays of light through an open window, heart beats against an open palm, the gentle brush of fingers, golden curls swept from her face and mementos locked in a box. which i suppose seems fitting for the Ilvermorny alumnus. they’re actually pretty trusting, introspective, and impressionable for a thirty-four year old, but i wonder if it serves them well when working as a magizoologist. rumor has it that the half-blood has stayed neutral… for now. i wouldn’t have guessed… but this is a conversation we should be having somewhere else.

Serenity Walker and her two sisters Charity and Chasity spent their lives up and down the Appalachian trails living on the outskirts of no-maj towns and cities where they often conned and did what was needed to survive. The home of all women wix was a family that started with three sisters and gave life to two more. Amity and her younger sister Verity. 

Amity was an endlessly curious girl who had a soft spot for the underdog and bringing home broken creatures to nurse back to health. Longing for friends was a constant feeling for Amity as they never settled in one place for too long. However, she had a certain wonderment about life that had the young girl's imagination never ceasing to keep her entertained. 

When her mother gave birth to her baby sister Amity saw a future where she was never alone again and shadowed her sister as she grew. 

She hoped for her sisters life to be full of magic, kindness and all she’d ever wanted. Hoped maybe her sister would be able to make roots, maybe they’d all settle some place but that was a far fetched dream for young Amity. 

Her mother and aunts had a penchant for crime, conning no-maj men out of more money then they probably had, leaving scorned lovers and rumors in their wake as they left town leaving behind only bitter memories. Amity hadn’t had the “moxie” for it as her mother would say. She was fine with lacking this moxie. She had always been a great story teller but her tells when lying were always too obvious and her guilt too heavy.

Amity wasn't entirely innocent, her moral compass did not outweigh her loyalty to her family. She helped them other ways, patching them up whenever one of them got a little too banged up and keeping their home garden flourishing. In fact if you know where to look along the Appalachian mountains you're bound to find an abandoned garden or two still running wild thanks to Amity's green thumb. 

It was hard for her to keep them on a straight path after she left home to pursue magical creatures, hoping back in all over the mountains that were more home than any specific town or city. Amity sent money home when she could in hopes that it would keep them from involving Verity in their scheming, allow her a semblance of normalcy, whatever the hell that was supposed to be.

Life when she was a girl seemed painfully slow at times, Amity was eager to experience all the magical world had to offer, chasing down rare creatures. Joining up with exploration teams, falling in love. Planning a life for herself that brought her all over the world. 

While studying dangerous magical creatures all over the seven continents Amity found herself facing down a Nundu. It hadn’t been the plan, she and her small team of six had traveled to East Africa searching for a Diricawl (no-maj folk call them dodo birds). They had not planned to run into anything dangerous. Their guard was down and the creature struck quickly. Amity was unable to react before a colleague and dear friend took hold of her and apparated them away from the gruesome scene. 

When Amity landed once more she was met with deafening screaming and searing pain like she was on fire. They had been splinched. Her injuries significantly less dire and gruesome than her friends she attempted to stall the bleeding, but all their belongings and first aid had been left behind at the site of the Nundu attack. Amity who had spent her life putting her loved ones back together could not stop the inevitable of what was occurring to her dear friend. Of the six who went on this trip only Amity had survived. 

After the terrible incident Amity took some time to herself, closing in on her grief for a time and returning home to the comforts she always sought out when things became rough…home was always going to be the four women who made her everything she was. 

The grief remained but her determination grew when Amity went back into the field, promising to visit home more frequently, wherever home may find itself. She kept her promise, returning time and time again to the sink into the comforts that came with her mama's home cooking, her aunt's good humor and her sister's company. However, time seemed to take all things after Amity returned home one year to find her sister was missing and no one could provide her answers. She was just gone. No explanation, no reason just she was and then was not. 

Amity had always warned that their lifestyle would burn them eventually and now it was felt by the entire family. Amity struggles now to be around her mom and aunts, blaming them in some way for the loss of her sister. A loss she can’t accept that has kept her even more focused on moving all across the globe in a hope that she will see Verity somewhere.

Has a special interest in winged horses, especially thestrals that she can see due to witnessing death some years ago.

During the summer of 1977 Amity was invited to mentor under Newt Skamander, the author of her favorite magical novel. It is in those months that she has made a small home for herself in the UK.

Amity has scarring from the splinching incident along her back and shoulder.

///Hey I said this on one of my other blogs, but I'd like to apologize for the long absence. I have been dealing with a lot of IRL stuff, moving out and into my sisters house. Then trying to find a place with my partner. (didn't happen, but we tried and we'll try again in the future) Then I got sick. :( I'm still a little sick, but I've been recovering.
