The livestream began with a soft glow from a bedside lamp casting warm light across the room. Luna sat cross-legged on a plush chair, her hair down in loose waves, framing her bare, makeup-free face. She wore a simple black tee that hung loosely over her frame, a stark contrast to the polished, glamorous image fans had seen of her just hours earlier during the concert.
The room was quiet except for the faint hum of Tokyo’s nightlife filtering in through the slightly cracked window, the calm atmosphere reflecting her relaxed demeanor.
Her phone was propped up on the coffee table in front of her, the faint glow of the screen lighting her face as she stared at it, waiting for the first fans to join.
Occasionally, she would tilt her head slightly, a soft smile tugging at her lips as she adjusted the angle of the phone, muttering to herself, “I think this should be fine… Oh, wait, let me fix this.”
She leaned forward, the strands of her hair falling over her shoulders as she fiddled with the phone stand for a moment before sitting back with a satisfied nod. Her fingers absentmindedly played with the hem of her shirt as she waited, her other hand resting lightly on her knee.
One by one, the viewer count climbed, and the chat began to fill with messages. Luna’s eyes flickered to the screen, her smile widening as she saw familiar usernames and enthusiastic greetings.
“Hi! Oh, wow, you guys are fast!” she said, her voice soft yet bright with energy. She raised a hand to wave at the camera, her long fingers moving gently. “How are you all? Did you miss me?”
The chat immediately flooded with comments:
“Luna, you’re so pretty!”
“We missed you so much! How was the concert?”
“MOTHER IS LIVE ONCE AGAIN!!!”
Luna let out a quiet laugh, her shoulders shaking slightly. “I missed you all, too,” she replied warmly. “The concert was amazing, but… let me just relax for a moment, okay? I feel like my body is still trying to catch up.” She leaned back into the chair, tucking her legs under herself.
She squinted slightly at the screen, her fingers brushing stray strands of hair away from her face. “Oh, wait— hold on, the comments are moving so fast.” Her eyes darted to the phone again as she read some aloud:
“Luna, you’re glowing without makeup!”
“Bare-faced Bae Jiyeon supremacy!”
“Pretty girl, I miss you!!!!”
She laughed, shaking her head. “You guys always say that. I feel like you’re just trying to see me blushing.” Her voice was tinged with playful sarcasm, though the warmth in her tone was unmistakable.
Resting her chin on her hand, she watched the chat for a few moments, her eyes narrowing slightly as she concentrated on catching specific messages.
“Oh, I see someone asking about dinner. Yes, I ate already— don’t worry. I had some sushi with the members earlier. So good. But I think I’m still hungry… maybe I’ll order something later. Midnight snacks in Tokyo just hit differently, you know?”
Her free hand tapped lightly on the armrest as she continued to address the comments. “What else? Oh… ‘Jiyeonie you should rest, you look sleepy.’ — thank you for your concern. I promise I’m okay, just a little drained from the adrenaline rush. Concert days are always like that. You feel on top of the world, and then… the calm hits you.”
The chat continued to flood with messages:
“Luna, you deserve the rest! We love you!”
“Your voice must be so tired!”
“You worked so hard today— thank you for giving us your all!”
She let out a quiet sigh, her lips curling into a soft smile. “You guys are too sweet. Really, thank you for appreciating us so much. It makes everything worth it.”
Luna paused, glancing offscreen for a moment as if gathering her thoughts. Then, with a small, almost shy smile, she turned back to the camera. “Okay, tell me— what do you guys want to talk about tonight? Anything in particular? I’m all ears.”
As the comments continued to flood in, she adjusted her seating position again, pulling a cushion into her lap and hugging it. Her every movement was unhurried and natural, her laid-back energy palpable through the screen.
The chat continued to flood with messages, lines of text rolling up the screen too quickly for Luna to catch them all. Her dark eyes darted across the screen, scanning for something to latch onto, and her lips curled into a slightly amused smile when she caught a recurring theme in the comments.
“We missed your lives so much!”
“Jiyeonie, it’s been forever since your last live.”
“We’re so happy you went live again tonight!”
She tilted her head slightly, a strand of hair slipping forward as she squinted at the screen. “Oh, you missed me, huh?” she teased lightly, her voice soft but warm. “How long has it been?” She paused for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly in thought as she tapped her fingers absentmindedly against the cushion on her lap. Then, realization dawned on her face, and her expression softened even further.
“Oh…” she murmured, her voice trailing off as her smile turned sheepish. “I think the last time I went live was after the opening concert of our tour in Goyang. That was… October, wasn’t it?” She glanced off to the side, as though confirming the timeline in her mind. “Yeah, October. Wow, that really was a long time ago. I’m sorry!”
Her tone was apologetic, and she brought her hands up in a playful gesture of surrender, her fingers splayed wide. “I remember telling you all during that live that I’d go live again soon. I even promised, didn’t I?” She let out a soft laugh, shaking her head at herself. “And then… I didn’t.”
The chat immediately reacted with understanding and affection.
“It’s okay, Jiyeonie! We know you’re busy!”
“We’re just happy to see you now!”
“You don’t need to apologize, miss ma’am!”
Luna laughed again, the sound light and airy as she adjusted the cushion on her lap. “No, but really— I feel bad. I did have plans to go live after that, especially during the U.S. leg of the tour. I thought, ‘Oh, it’ll be fun to check in with everyone while we’re in the States.’” She paused, lifting her hands and gesturing as she spoke, her voice animated. “But you know how things go. We were so busy over there.”
Her tone softened slightly as she began to recount the experience. “The U.S. leg was amazing, but it was also a lot. We had so many schedules, so much filming… We did interviews, we filmed all kinds of content, and I also had some solo photoshoots which haven’t even been released yet, by the way,” she added with a small conspiratorial smile, leaning closer to the camera. “You guys are going to love it when it comes out. Trust me.”
The chat filled with excited reactions:
“WHAT KIND OF PHOTOSHOOT?! GIVE US SPOILERS!”
“Ahhh, now I’m curious!”
“Bae Jiyeon teasing us again, as usual!”
Luna chuckled, waving her hand in front of the camera as though to dispel the anticipation. “No spoilers! You’ll just have to wait. But yeah, that’s why I never found the time to go live while we were over there. Every time I thought I’d have a free evening, something else came up.”
She sighed softly, her smile turning a bit rueful. “And, well… you know how I am. By the time we’d get back to the hotel after a full day, I’d just want to collapse into bed.” She glanced back at the camera, her gaze warm and sincere. “So, I’m really glad I have the time to do this now. It feels nice to just sit and talk with you guys again.”
The comments were filled with love and encouragement:
“We understand, Luna! You work so hard!”
“Your health comes first. Don’t worry about us!”
“We’re just happy you’re here now!”
Her lips quirked into a small, grateful smile, and she tilted her head slightly, resting her chin in her hand. “You guys are too sweet. Seriously.” She sat up straighter, her voice brightening again. “Okay, but now I’m curious— what did you all think of the concert tonight? Tell me everything!”
She leaned forward, her eyes scanning the chat intently as the comments began pouring in again.
The comments began flooding in again, messages moving so fast that Luna could barely keep up. Her eyes darted across the screen, scanning as much as she could.
“The concert was AMAZING!”
“My first ever SEVENTEEN concert! Thank you for giving us such a magical night, Jiyeonie!”
“It was my first time seeing you live guys, and I cried during the encore. I didn’t want it to end.”
“The way you sang tonight… I got chills!”
Luna’s lips curved into a soft smile, her posture relaxing further as she leaned back into the armchair, hugging the cushion in her lap. “You guys are the cutest. Reading your comments makes me so happy,” she said, her voice gentle, yet tinged with genuine excitement. “I’m really glad you enjoyed the concert. We worked so hard to make it special for you all.”
Her fingers lightly tapped against the cushion as she read more comments silently to herself.
“Your stage presence is unreal!”
“I love when you guys interact with the us in the audience.”
“I’ll never forget it this night, Jiyeonie!”
“Oh, the confetti!” she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. “Wasn’t that so pretty? I swear when I looked out and saw all of you holding your phones up with the lights on, surrounded by the confetti— it looked surreal.” Her voice softened as she reminisced, her smile taking on a nostalgic quality. “I always tell myself to stay in the moment during concerts, but moments like that… I wish I could freeze them forever.”
The chat erupted again:
“You made us cry, Luna!”
“It was so magical! Thank you for everything!”
“We love you so much!”
Luna’s cheeks flushed faintly, and she let out a quiet laugh. “Thank you for making the night so special.”
She paused for a moment, her gaze shifting slightly as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Her expression grew a little more thoughtful, and her tone softened as she continued. “To be honest… I was feeling a little down tonight during the concert,” she admitted, her voice carrying a hint of vulnerability.
The chat slowed for a moment, fans picking up on her change in tone.
“What happened, Jiyeon?”
“Are you okay?”
“Why were you sad, my love?!”
Luna smiled reassuringly, holding up her hand as if to calm their worries. “No, no! Don’t worry, I’m okay. It’s just… my throat was so dry tonight.” She pouted slightly, a playful yet frustrated look crossing her face. “I hate getting sick— hate it, especially when we’re traveling and performing. It’s the worst timing ever!”
She giggled, covering her mouth with one hand as if embarrassed by her outburst. “I was drinking so much water backstage, but no matter how much I drank, my throat still felt like sandpaper. It was driving me crazy.” She shook her head, her smile widening despite herself. “I kept thinking, ‘Please, just hold on until the end of the show!’”
The chat quickly filled with messages of support and concern:
“You did so well, though! We couldn’t even tell!”
“Please take care of yourself, Bae Jiyeon!”
“Rest up! Your health is the most important!”
“You did amazing, Luna!”
Luna’s gaze softened as she read their words, her fingers lightly tracing the edge of the cushion in her lap. “Thank you, my loves. Thank you for worrying about me.” She tilted her head, her hair slipping over one shoulder as she continued, her voice full of reassurance. “But don’t worry— I’m fine, really. I just need to rest a little more, and I’ll be back to normal in no time.”
She paused, her lips curving into a teasing smile. “Besides, I’m drinking so much honey tea right now, that I think I might turn into a bee.”
The chat erupted with laughter and playful responses:
“Queen Bee Luna!”
“As long as it helps, drink as much as you need!”
“GIRL!! I’D GET YOU ALL THE HONEY TEA IN THE WORLD TO MAKE SURE YOU’RE ALRIGHT!! DON’T TEST ME!!”
“Buzz buzz, our hardworking Luna!”
“You guys are funny,” Luna laughed along with them, her giggles light and infectious. “See? You guys always know how to make me feel better. I really mean it— thank you for being so understanding.”
Luna’s gaze lingered on the screen, her chin resting lightly in her hand as her fingers idly brushed against her cheek. Her dark eyes scanned the comments, but her mind seemed elsewhere, her expression soft and far away. She leaned in slightly toward the camera, the soft strands of her dark hair framing her face, her bare complexion illuminated by the gentle glow of the hotel room light.
As the chat buzzed with messages— fans asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and continuing to express their love— Luna hummed quietly under her breath, almost absentmindedly. The hum soon turned into a soft murmur, and then, without realizing it, she began singing in a gentle, airy tone, her voice just above a whisper.
“‘Adore me, hold me, and explore me… Mark your territory…’”
Her voice was delicate, almost hypnotic, as though the melody was spilling out of her without thought. She leaned closer to the screen, her eyes flickering over the comments as she sang the next line softly, the words melting into the quiet ambiance of the room.
“‘Tell me I’m the only, only, only, only one…’”
She stopped singing, her lips curving into an innocent smile as her gaze refocused on the chat. “I love that song,” she muttered, the corners of her mouth still lifted as though she were unaware of the chaos she had just caused.
The chat erupted instantly, fans flooding the screen with comments, the pace of the messages suddenly doubling.
“BAE JIYEON DID YOU JUST SING JUNO?!”
“OH MY GOD THAT’S JUNO BY SABRINA CARPENTER.”
“DOES SHE KNOW WHAT THAT SONG IS ABOUT?!”
“I love that song!!!”
“Luna bestie… the lyrics—”
“WE ARE LOSING IT, LUNA PLEASE.”
“HOW IS SHE SO CASUAL ABOUT THIS???!!!”
Luna tilted her head at the camera, the innocent smile still playing on her lips as she read the messages, her brows knitting together slightly in confusion. “What’s with all the reactions? You guys are freaking out,” she said with a soft laugh, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
The chat was relentless:
“THE SONG IS ABOUT—”
“HELLO???? MA’AM?!”
“Do you miss Jeonghan, miss thing?! Cause… we can tell…”
Luna’s smile widened, her laughter bubbling up as she read the frantic comments. “Wait, why is everyone so worked up?” she asked, her voice light and curious, though there was a playful twinkle in her eye. “It’s just a pretty song.“
“IT’S A PRETTY FREAKY SONG.”
“She’s messing with us. God i love her!”
“It matches her vibe tho.”
Luna shook her head, still laughing softly as she waved her hand dismissively. “You guys are too funny. It’s a beautiful song! Sabrina’s voice in it is amazing. And the lyrics…” She trailed off, a teasing glint in her eye as she leaned forward slightly, her voice lowering just a fraction. “They’re poetic. Don’t you think?”
The comments continued to spiral:
“POETIC?!?!”
“SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE’S DOING.”
“HELP. LUNA, STOP.”
“SHE PLAYS TOO MUCH.”
She finally broke into a full laugh, her shoulders shaking as she leaned back into the chair, hugging the cushion in her lap once more. “Okay, okay, I’ll stop teasing you. But seriously, it’s such a good song. If you haven’t heard it yet, you should listen to it. I promise you won’t regret it.”
The chat’s tone shifted slightly as fans began agreeing with her, though the occasional frantic message still slipped through.
“Okay but she’s not wrong, Juno is a bop.”
“Icons loves icons.”
“Juno is really… something.”
Luna glanced at the comments one last time, her expression softening into a fond smile. “You guys are hilarious,” she said, her voice warm and affectionate. “Thanks for making me laugh tonight. I needed this.”
Luna’s eyes flickered across the comments, her lips curling into a small smile as she caught sight of an English comment that stood out amidst the flurry of messages.
Leaning slightly closer to the screen, she read it aloud, her voice naturally slipping into a soft, playful British accent. “‘Jiyeonie, what’s the song that makes you happy and giddy inside?’” she read, her tone light and melodic, the accent adding a touch of charm to her words.
She blinked once, as though the question had taken her by surprise, but without missing a beat, her answer came effortlessly, her voice soft yet unwavering. “‘Love Me Like You Do’ by Ellie Goulding,” she said with a small, wistful smile that lit up her face.
As she said it, a subtle warmth crept into her expression, her gaze dropping momentarily as though lost in thought.
Unbidden, Jeonghan’s face appeared in her mind, his teasing grin, his laugh, the way his hand always found hers even when they weren’t paying attention.
That song, the one she had chosen without hesitation, was so deeply tied to him that she couldn’t think of it without feeling an overwhelming sense of fondness.
It wasn’t just a song she liked —it was their song, in a way.
Though never officially claimed, it had become something of an unofficial theme for them.
From the first time, she sang it during her cover project years ago to the moments it had surfaced during variety shows or casual conversations, it always seemed to orbit them like a quiet, knowing secret.
Her voice broke through her thoughts as she began to hum the melody softly, the familiar tune spilling from her lips as she continued to read the comments. Her hums were light, almost dreamy as if the memory tied to the song carried her away for a moment.
The chat quickly picked up on her answer, and fans wasted no time piecing things together.
“WAIT. Love Me Like You Do???”
“Isn’t that the song she covered a few years ago??”
“OMG remember her cover? It was SO GOOD.”
“I swear she gets so emotional when she sings that song.”
“You should do an updated cover, Jiyeonie!”
The comments kept rolling in, the momentum building as fans started connecting the dots.
“Wasn’t that the song that came up during The Game Caterers?”
“This just reminded me of Game Caterers when the members were teasing her and Jeonghan for no reason… everything makes sense.”
“Remember Jeonghan’s face when they played it? He looked so suspicious.”
“Omg Luna blushed so hard back then. They were so obvious lol.”
“IS THIS THEIR SONG??? Like… their actual couple song???”
Luna let out a soft laugh, her shoulders shaking slightly as she read the increasingly excited messages. Her humming faded as she glanced back at the camera, her expression caught somewhere between amusement and bashfulness. “You guys are so observant, aren’t you?” she teased her tone light but with a knowing edge that only fueled the chat’s excitement.
“SO IT IS YOUR THEME SONG?!?!”
“Bestie don’t tease us, we’re DYING.”
“CONFIRM IT. WE NEED TO KNOW.”
“Mom and Dad are so cute.”
“I’m calling it. It’s Luna and Jeonghan’s theme song.”
Luna tilted her head slightly, her eyes sparkling mischievously as she leaned closer to the screen, her voice dropping to a playful whisper. “I never said that…” she said, drawing the words out, her smile betraying her as she tried to feign innocence.
The comments exploded again:
“SHE’S NOT DENYING IT. OMG.”
“This is a confirmation if I’ve ever seen one.”
“LUNA PLEASE JUST SAY IT.”
She laughed again, the sound soft and melodic as she sat back, hugging her knees to her chest. “You guys are way too good at this. I have to be careful what I say around you,” she admitted, shaking her head with an affectionate smile. “But seriously, it’s just a song I really love. It makes me happy, that’s all.”
Her explanation only seemed to make the chat more chaotic:
“THAT’S NOT ALL AND YOU KNOW IT.”
“Luna, we’re not falling for that. The way you smiled just now— HELLO???”
“This is like a soft launch of Jeongna’s couple song and I’m living for it.”
“Can somebody edit Jeongna with this song?! I am on my knees!”
Luna bit her bottom lip to hold back another laugh, her cheeks faintly flushed as she glanced offscreen for a moment, as if debating whether or not to say more.
Finally, she leaned forward again, her voice softer now, almost conspiratorial. “Let’s just say… I think some songs remind us of certain people, don’t you?”
The chat collectively lost its mind.
“OH MY GOD SHE ADMITTED IT.”
“We KNEW IT.”
“JEONGNA SUPREMACY!”
“They are adorable fr.”
“She’s in love.”
Luna laughed again, the sound warm and genuine, as she raised her hands in surrender. “Alright, alright, I’ll stop before I get myself into trouble. But I do love that song. It’s one of my all-time favorites.”
She glanced back at the chat, her smile softening as she read the flood of messages. “You guys are really something else,” she said with a fond shake of her head. “Always figuring everything out. I can’t hide anything from you, can I?”
Luna’s gaze shifted down to the scrolling comments, her head tilting slightly as she caught sight of a question that made her smile softly. She leaned closer to the phone, her chin lightly resting on her hand, as she read aloud in a gentle, thoughtful tone.
“‘What have you been up to in Japan recently? Have you done anything besides work?’”
Her smile widened, and she let out a small laugh, her eyes crinkling at the corners. “Ah, well, I haven’t been doing anything else besides work,” she began, her tone warm and conversational. “Ah! Never mind, just the other day, I went shopping with Cheollie and Gyu-Gyu.”
She paused for dramatic effect, her lips quirking into a mischievous grin as she added with a giggle, “And let me just say, the three of us should never shop together again.” Her laughter grew as she shook her head, clearly reliving the memory. “It was so bad. We did some serious damage, I’m not even joking.”
The chat instantly erupted:
“Omg shopping with Cheol and Mingyu must’ve been chaotic.”
“What did you buy? TELL US.”
“Serious damage? HOW MUCH???”
“Do a haul!”
Luna chuckled softly as she read the comments, her fingers brushing her hair back behind her ear. “You guys already know I’m a shopaholic,” she said with a playful shrug, her tone feigning innocence. “I mean, I didn’t need anything, but did that stop me? Absolutely not.” She laughed at herself before continuing. “I ended up getting some new clothes— of course. A new pair of shoes. And… oh! A new bag. It’s so pretty, you’ll see it soon, I promise.”
The comments flooded in again with amusement:
“A NEW BAG?!?!”
“This is why Luna works so hard— so she can shop guilt-free.”
“She’s a mood.”
“Jiyeon is my bias for a reason! She’s my spirit animal. She is me.”
“We need to see the haul, queen!”
Luna waved a hand dismissively but with a fond smile. “You’ll see everything eventually,” she reassured them. “But I didn’t just shop for myself, okay? I got a bag for my mom too. She’s been dropping hints about needing a new one, so I thought, why not?”
Luna leaned back slightly, her expression softening as she continued. “I actually called her after I bought it to tell her. She was so happy and thankful,” she said, her voice laced with affection. “But then—” She broke off with a laugh, her eyes sparkling as she sat up straighter. “She goes, ‘Oh, thank you, that’s nice, but are you going to bring me and your Dad some Japanese snacks too?’”
She threw her hands up in mock exasperation, her giggles spilling out as she recounted the moment. “Can you believe that? I just spent all this money on a bag for her, and she’s already asking for snacks!”
The chat exploded with laughter:
“HAHAHA moms are like that!”
“She’s so real for that.”
“Luna’s mom knows what she wants.”
“PRIORITIES!”
Luna grinned as she nodded in agreement. “Right? But of course, I couldn’t say no. So I went and got her all her favorite snacks. I'll probably end up carrying an extra bag just for her goodies now,” she said, shaking her head but unable to hide the affection in her voice. “My mommy is cute.”
Her gaze flickered to the comments again, her smile widening as she silently read them.
“Luna, you’re such a sweet daughter!”
“We need a Luna and her mom vlog someday, PLEASE.”
She laughed, her head tilting slightly as she addressed the fans. “You guys really want to meet her, huh? I don’t know if she’d survive the attention. She’d probably spend the whole time asking me to make sure her hair looks good or something.”
The comments came pouring in, a mix of playful teasing and genuine admiration for Luna’s close bond with her mother. She rested her chin in her hand again, her expression softening as she read through the messages, clearly touched by the fans’ engagement.
“Honestly,” she said after a moment, her voice quieter but no less warm, “I love spoiling my parents. They’ve done so much for me, so it feels good to give a little back, you know?”
Luna’s eyes sparkled as she straightened up in her seat, her earlier laughter softening into a wide, excited grin. “Oh, oh! I almost forgot!” she said, her voice rising slightly in pitch, her excitement palpable. “I bought a new bracelet too!”
She lifted her left hand toward the camera, her delicate fingers tilting slightly as she showed off the jewelry. The dim lighting in her hotel room made the gold gleam faintly, catching the subtle intricacy of the design. “Can you see it?” she asked, tilting her wrist closer to the screen. “Wait, let me make sure it’s clear.”
She adjusted her hand again, the movement practiced and fluid, until the dainty gold bracelet with its love knot design was fully visible.
Its simplicity was elegant, a perfect complement to the slightly chunkier gold band sitting just above it— the matching bracelet Jeonghan had given her a few months ago. The sight of the two together, perfectly balanced yet distinct, made her smile even wider.
“Pretty, right?” she said, her tone bright and airy as she glanced down at the screen, waiting for the fans’ reactions. Her fingers instinctively adjusted the bracelets, the love knot sliding slightly against her wrist, as she glanced through the influx of comments flooding in.
“OMG IT’S SO PRETTY!”
“Did you buy it to match with your gold band???”
“A LOVE KNOT???? GIRL—”
Luna giggled softly, her thumb absently brushing over the knot detail as she scanned the comments. “I saw it at this little jewelry boutique we stopped by, and I just couldn’t resist,” she explained her voice light with a hint of bashfulness. “It felt simple but meaningful, you know? And it goes so well with my other bracelet…” Her gaze flicked back to the screen, and she let out another soft laugh as more comments poured in.
“Simple but meaningful?? Ma’am, elaborate!”
“She’s glowing talking about it omg.”
“LUNA WE KNOW WHAT THAT BRACELET REPRESENTS.”
She shook her head, the teasing comments making her laugh again, her dimples deepening as she looked back at the camera. “You guys are always so dramatic,” she said, playfully narrowing her eyes. “But yes, I love it. I thought it was just… perfect.”
Her eyes darted back to the comments, reading them silently with a contented smile, but suddenly, one particular message caught her attention. She blinked, her body visibly tensing as she leaned forward, her hand hovering slightly over her mouth.
“Wait a second…” she murmured softly, her eyes locked on the screen.
There, highlighted in bold clarity, was a verified account.
Tumblr media
The comment read: “Really pretty.”
Her lips parted slightly in surprise as realization dawned.
It was Jeonghan.
The chat immediately erupted:
“JEONGHAN IS HERE OMG!!!!”
“IS THAT HANNIE COMMENTING???”
“LUNA, DO YOU SEE HIM???”
“MISS THING YOUR FIANCÉ IS LURKING!”
Before she could react, another comment from the same account appeared, just seconds later: “Are you talking about the bracelet or yourself?”
Luna visibly froze, her brain seeming to buffer as she processed not only the fact that Jeonghan was watching her live but that he had just flirted with her— openly, in front of millions of viewers… which seems to be their norm ever since their relationship got exposed to the public.
They used to dream of times like this.
Her hand instinctively went to her face, covering her mouth as her cheeks flushed a faint pink. “Oh my God…” she mumbled, her voice muffled and shaky with barely contained laughter. Her wide eyes darted back and forth between the camera and the comments, still trying to comprehend what had just happened.
The chat was on fire:
“HE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT.”
“LUNA YOUR MAN IS RIGHT THERE.”
“WE ARE ALL THIRD-WHEELING THIS LIVE RN.”
“YOON JEONGHAN?!? SIR!!?”
Luna shook her head, her fingers dropping from her lips as she let out a flustered laugh. “Yoon Jeonghan you really…” she started, her voice trailing off as she glanced down again, catching yet another wave of excited messages. “…have no shame,” she said finally, her voice breathless and tinged with disbelief.
“HE’S IN LOVE AND HE WANTS US ALL TO KNOW IT.”
“Jiyeon, don’t act like you don’t like it.”
“Y’ALL THIS IS STRAIGHT OUT OF A ROMANCE MOVIE.”
The fans’ collective reactions filled the chat once again, the scrolling comments a chaotic blend of screaming, laughing emojis, and declarations of how adorable the couple was. Luna bit her lip to suppress another laugh, her expression softened, the corners of her lips quirking upward in a private smile.
Luna shook her head, her cheeks still pink from Jeonghan’s earlier comment as she looked directly at the camera. “Alright, everyone,” she said, exhaling as though she were trying to steady herself. “Since he’s obviously here and not going anywhere, everyone say hello to Jeonghannie who I know we all missed so much.”
Her voice was lighthearted but tinged with fondness, the kind that only years of love and understanding could bring. Her eyes flitted to the comments as they exploded once again, the chat now in absolute chaos.
“HI JEONGHAN!!!”
“THE AUDACITY HE HAS TO FLIRT IN FRONT OF MILLIONS.”
“JEONGHAN WE SEE YOU 👀👀👀”
“We miss you! Come back!”
Among the flurry of messages, Jeonghan’s verified account popped up again. “Hi Carats!” it read, simple yet instantly sending the chat into another spiral.
Luna let out a soft laugh, resting her chin in her palm as she scrolled through the endless stream of greetings for her fiancé. But before she could even think of moving on, another comment from him appeared.
“Nana-ya, get me one.”
Her brows furrowed slightly as she read it aloud, “Get you one?”
Then, just seconds later, another comment from Jeonghan followed: “The same one. A matching one.”
It took her a moment to process, her confusion evident as she tilted her head slightly. “Get you one what?” she asked, her lips curling into a small, bewildered smile as she waited for clarification.
The realization hit her like a gentle wave when she saw his next comment: “Oh, the bracelet?” she said, her voice lilting upward in understanding.
Her fingers brushed over the love knot bracelet on her wrist as if to confirm what he was referring to. “You want one of these?” she asked, a teasing note creeping into her tone.
Jeonghan didn’t keep her guessing for long. His reply was instant as if he’d been waiting: “Yes. We need to be a couple.”
Luna blinked, her lips parting slightly in surprise, but before she could respond, another comment from him popped up: “Even though we already are 😝.”
The chat practically exploded.
“STOP HE REALLY JUST SAID THAT????”
“WE NEED TO BE A COUPLE 😭😭😭 THIS MAN IS TOO MUCH.”
“Where have I heard that phrase before?!”
“THIS IS THE SAME JEONGHAN AND LUNA WHO USED TO DENY EVERYTHING BTW LMFAO.”
“WHY ARE WE HERE THIRD-WHEELING???”
“Sir, you need to stop. Luna is malfunctioning.”
Luna’s hand flew to her mouth as a quiet laugh escaped her, but her wide-eyed expression betrayed the sudden wave of déjà vu that swept over her.
Those words— we need to be a couple— had been said before, hadn’t they? And not just anywhere.
Her eyes darted back to the screen as memories began flooding her mind, the exact same scenario replaying itself from years ago. Back then, it was a different piece of jewelry— a dainty gold necklace she had shown her fans during a live after their ‘Follow’ tour concert in the Philippines.
It had been late at night, much like this, Luna sitting cross-legged on her hotel bed as she held the delicate chain up for the camera to see. “Look at this!” she had said excitedly, letting the small gold pendant dangle just above her palm.
The pendant was in the shape of the letter ‘J,’ something she had coyly told her fans stood for her own initials. But in reality, it was for Jeonghan— something she hadn’t dared to admit then in public.
Jeonghan hadn’t been at the concert due to an injury, but that didn’t stop him from watching her live. His verified account had appeared in the chat unexpectedly, his comments cheeky and bold even back then.
“Get me one.”
Luna had paused, caught off guard as her fans erupted in excitement. “Hannie? Get you what?” she had repeated, her tone unsure but amused.
His reply had been instant: “The same one. We need to be a couple.”
The chat had collectively lost its mind, the comments flying faster than she could read.
“JEONGHAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??”
“STOPPP WE CAN’T HANDLE THIS.”
“WE NEED TO BE A COUPLE????? SIR EXPLAIN???”
“JEONGNA IS REAL ISTG!!! TRY TO CHANGE MY MIND!!”
Her laugh had been shaky then, a mix of nervousness and amusement as she waved her hand at the camera. “Jeonghannie, stop saying things like that. People might think you’re serious,” she had joked, her voice light but carrying a subtle plea for him to tone it down.
And then, as she read through the comments, a small notification had popped up at the top of her screen— a text message.
It was from Jeonghan.
“I am serious.”
Luna had tried her best to keep her reaction neutral, but her smile had softened in a way that betrayed her. Her cheeks flushed as she lowered her head slightly, trying to hide the way her face flushed and how her heart fluttered at his words.
And in the end, she had gotten him a matching necklace— both pieces featuring the letter ‘J.’
To everyone else, it was a cute nod to their shared first initial, but to them, it was so much more. It was their quiet way of holding onto something that was just theirs, something they didn’t have to explain to anyone.
Back in the present, Luna blinked, the warmth of the memory leaving her momentarily speechless. The chat was still buzzing with excitement, and Jeonghan’s most recent comment— “Even though we already are 😝” —shone brightly at the top.
She let out a breathless laugh, her hand brushing over her cheek as she muttered, “You’re really going to bring that up again?”
Her fans didn’t miss a beat:
“GOSH IT WAS AN INSIDE JOKE THIS ENTIRE TIME!!!”
“IS THIS A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT OR WHAT.”
“STOPPPP THEY’VE BEEN OBVIOUS SINCE THEN!!”
Luna’s eyes scanned the stream of comments again, only to pause as another one from Jeonghan popped up.
“You already got me one, didn’t you?”
Her lips parted slightly, and the faintest blush rose to her cheeks. She pressed her fingers to her mouth to stifle a laugh, but it was obvious— he’d caught her.
The truth was, she had bought two bracelets when she found the love knot design.
The fans weren’t letting it go either.
“WAIT SHE DID!!!”
“LUNA DID YOU REALLY BUY TWO???”
“He caught you, girl.”
“JEONGHAN KNOWS HER TOO WELL PLS.”
“Guilty as charged.”
She glanced at the screen, her brows furrowed in mock irritation as she nodded her head, trying to keep her composure. “Jeonghannie, why are you like this?” she muttered, a sheepish smile playing on her lips.
Before she could fully recover, another comment from him appeared: “Good. Now we’ll match.”
Luna let out a small laugh, shaking her head at the camera, but her blush deepened. He wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore.
Feeling bold, she leaned closer to the screen, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Gosh, are you in love with me or something?” she asked, her tone half-teasing, half-challenging.
The chat went wild as fans waited for his response, and Jeonghan, as always, didn’t disappoint.
“And what about it?”
The simplicity of his words sent the chat into absolute chaos.
“JEONGHANNNNNN STOP THIS IS TOO MUCH.”
“HE REALLY SAID THAT IN FRONT OF EVERYONE OMG.”
“LUNA ARE YOU OKAY??? BLINK TWICE IF YOU NEED HELP.”
“WHAT IS THIS BEHAVIOR?!?”
“THESE TWO COULD’VE TEXTED EACH OTHER BUT INSTEAD THEY DECIDE TO FLIRT IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS ONCE AGAIN.”
Luna’s cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink, and she let out a nervous laugh, leaning back slightly as she tried to compose herself. “Lord…” she whispered, shaking her head.
She tried to move on, but her stuttering betrayed her. “You… you always want us to match,” she managed to say, her voice soft as she brushed her fingers through her hair.
Facing the camera again, she narrowed her eyes playfully. “Hannie is obsessed with me, guys,” she said, her tone light but affectionate.
The fans wasted no time.
“OBSESSED WITH YOU???? AS HE SHOULD BE.”
“I MEAN HE’S NOT EVEN HIDING IT ANYMORE LMAO.”
“JEONGHAN, BLINK TWICE IF YOU NEED HELP.”
“UHM… WHO ISN’T?!?”
Jeonghan’s next comment, however, rendered Luna completely speechless:
“Yes. And soon we’ll have new matching rings.”
Her brows furrowed slightly in confusion as she reread his words. “Rings?” she repeated softly, almost to herself.
And then, like a bolt of lightning, realization hit her.
Her eyes widened, her fingers stilling mid-fidget as she fully grasped what he meant.
New matching rings.
Wedding bands.
She blinked rapidly, her lips twitching as she fought to suppress the smile threatening to take over her face.
The comments erupted once again:
“GOODBYE I—“
“He is MISSING you, girl.”
“I’M CRYING THIS IS SO CUTE.”
Luna’s voice was softer now, the blush spreading from her cheeks to the tips of her ears. “You… you need to go to sleep,” she said, her tone holding a mix of exasperation and fondness as she pouted at the camera.
Her words were directed at Jeonghan, but the teasing in her voice made it clear she wasn’t really upset. “Hannie, stop teasing me on live. Go to sleep,” she repeated, crossing her arms for emphasis.
The chat was in shambles, but Jeonghan’s comment cut through all the noise: “I’m laughing so hard right now 😂 You're cute. ”
Luna couldn’t help but roll her eyes, though her smile gave her away. “You’re annoying,” she muttered under her breath before turning her attention back to the fans.
“See what I have to deal with?” she said, her voice filled with affection. But even as she tried to move on, her fingers unconsciously brushed over the oval diamond on her engagement ring, a soft smile lingering on her lips.
God, she and Jeonghan had wished for times like these— where they could just exist together, freely and without fear. And now, here he was, openly voicing out his love for her in the most public way possible, and all she could do was smile like the lovesick idiot that she was.

3. Oliver Wood, who doesn't love this overdramatic Scotsman 🥰
4. Draco Malfoy, we share a love of green apples
5. Fred & George Weasley, I have tons of respect for pranksters

8. Hermione Granger, study buddy *sparkles*
9. Lucius Malfoy, this guy makes me laugh lol

~
Title: White
WIP: Luna
Pairing: Seungmin x gender neutral!reader
Word count: 1.5k
Triggers: death (?)
~
The witch’s cottage blends into the trees. If it weren’t for the slight flicker of firelight against the night, Seungmin probably would’ve walked past it entirely, but you pull him away before he can. “There,” you whisper even though no one else is here with you two.
Seungmin doesn’t blame you, though. Something about the moment feels strange. Charged. Like if he says something a little too loudly, the world will shatter to pieces.
Slowly, quietly, you make your way to the door of the cottage. Seungmin raises a hand. Hesitates. Then knocks.
An eternity seems to pass. You and Seungmin exchange looks. Then -
“Come in, travelers.”
Seungmin twists the doorknob. It creaks under his fingers, but then the door swings open without a sound.
The inside of the cottage almost looks creepier than the dark forest. There is light, yes, from lanterns glowing strangely and a fire roaring in the fireplace, but shadows flicker on the walls and the floor and with every step Seungmin takes inside, it feels like he’s walking into a death trap.
A pile of rags begins to move before Seungmin’s eyes. It shifts, almost like one of the shadows at the edge of his vision, and then an old, wizened face with surprisingly sharp eyes appears over one of the tattered couches.
Behind him, you let out a small eep of surprise or fear. The only reason Seungmin doesn’t make a sound is because his throat feels frozen.
“Please close the door behind you,” the witch says, stepping forward. “Then I will answer any questions you might have. For a price, of course.”
You look at Seungmin, then look at the door. With hands that he can see are shaking even from here, you carefully shut it.
“Now, then.” The witch places herself onto a seat. “What do you have to offer me?”
Seungmin’s throat feels dry as he pulls the small package from his pocket. When he extends it forward with a trembling hand, the witch’s dry fingers brush against his.
It takes everything in him not to jump.
She takes her time opening the package, pulling away the string that keeps it together and unwrapping the clumsy paper covering. Next to him, you wince almost in embarrassment. “I told you I couldn’t wrap things well,” you mutter. Seungmin fights the urge to smile.
Finally, the jewel falls into the witch’s palm. She stares at it. Scrutinizes it. Holds it between two fingers, lets it glow in the firelight.
And then she nods.
“This will do,” she says, and Seungmin lets out a deep sigh of relief. “What questions do you have for me, travelers?”
You nudge him forward. Seungmin sends you a scowl - you give him a little sarcastic smile that helps calm his heart even as he scowls deeper - and meets the witch’s clear, clear eyes. “We are on a quest,” he says quietly. “To save a princess lost in a tower. Perhaps you have heard of her.”
The witch inclines her said. She says nothing.
“We have a prophecy.” You step forward, holding out a small piece of crinkled paper. “There is only one line that doesn’t make sense. It is marked there.”
The witch scans the paper. Her expression doesn’t change at all as her eyes rove over the page, hopefully taking in every word of your neat handwriting. Finally, she looks up.
Her eyes fall directly on you.
“You mean there is only one line that doesn’t make sense to him.”
Seungmin blinks. “What?”
The old woman turns her gaze to him. “You never needed to come to me,” she says quietly. “You already have what you need with you.”
“She’s right, Seungmin.”
Seungmin whirls around. “Y/N, what are you - what the hell do you mean? What’s going on? If you understood the prophecy, why didn’t you tell me?”
Your eyes flicker in the lantern light. Seungmin has never seen you look this way before - devastated, heartbroken, determined, and so many more things all at once.
Your jaw clenches for a moment before you open your mouth, almost like you don’t want to say it.
“I didn’t know if I wanted to believe it.”
A hand lifts from your side as you take a step back. It rises to your throat, pulls out something Seungmin has never seen before, not once - a sort of necklace, maybe, one with a strange little flower-shaped charm as a pendant, pure white and iridescent like a pearl.
And -
All of a sudden, Seungmin understands.
A flower that blossomed to show its love to the moonlight.
It wasn’t a physical flower - at least, not really. It was a flower child.
“NO!”
Seungmin tackles you to the ground and you fall with a thump, head slamming against the floor. Guilt rips through him - that has to hurt - but Seungmin focuses on the charm at your throat, bright white in the darkness.
“Get off of me!” you yell, grabbing for the charm at the same moment he does. “You need this, you need it - go away and just let me -”
“What is wrong with you?” Seungmin screams. “I’m not going to do this if it means losing you -”
The charm comes away in his hand. He grips it, ready to toss it down and smash it underfoot, but then you knock it away and it flies into the air.
Tables crash. Chairs fall. Seungmin grabs you and shoves you against a wall and you retaliate with a kick to his knees that sends him buckling to the ground. Your eyes blaze and if it were any other moment, Seungmin would let you go, let you do whatever you think you need to, but - not this, not this -
He grabs your leg. You kick his face. And as he reels backward, covering his nose, you reach the charm.
You turn around. Your eyes sparkle - are those tears? - as you raise the charm to your lips.
“No -”
A shower of petals fills the air, whirling across the cottage and covering everything until all Seungmin sees and feels is iridescent white, white everywhere, dusting his hair and washing his vision and spilling onto his body like the softest blanket that itches and scratches and tears his skin apart because it can’t be, it can’t be, it can’t be that you are gone -
A scream rips through the cloud of petals. Only when it dies down does Seungmin realize it was him.
Slowly, slowly, the storm settles. Seungmin swipes away petals from his eyes. Stares at the sea of white that has washed across the cottage.
Your figure is nowhere to be seen.
You were a flower child. You were one of those cursed by the gods with a flower’s mark on your body and the power to grant one impossible wish with the last puff of your breath.
You never told him. Never gave him a hint.
And yet you gave your life for him to finish his quest, all in a shower of petals.
Seungmin closes his eyes against the blinding white, tears cutting tracks down his cheeks. But instead of white, all he sees is your face right before you swallowed the charm, the look in your eyes as you stared back at him.
There was nothing, he realizes, that you wouldn’t have ever done for him.
Something shifts in the cottage. Seungmin’s eyes flash open - maybe it’s you, maybe this was all some horrible prank, maybe you’re still alive -
It’s the witch, picking her way around toppled furniture and broken glass. In her hand she holds a white flower that shimmers like the moon and the stars. Seungmin can only watch as she picks up his hand with dry, dry fingers, and drops the flower onto his palm.
Its softness scorches his skin.
“Go, now.” Her voice is impassive. “Do not waste their last gift.”
Seungmin stares at his palm, unblinking. Your life for a flower. Your life for a quest.
Your life for a princess he doesn’t even know.
Grief and fury wash over him and for a moment, Seungmin considers dropping the flower and crushing it like he tried to crush the charm around your neck. He imagines how it would look under his foot, white petals dirty and stained with the dried mud on his shoe. It’s almost satisfying.
But this flower all he has left of you, and as much as it hurts, Seungmin won’t erase the last gift you’ve imparted upon him.
Slowly, he gets up. With numb legs, he exits the cottage, the space beside him conspicuously empty without you.
It is true, he realizes as the door swings shut behind him, that no one ever truly realizes what they have before they’ve lost it.
Least of all him.

ahhh congrats on 900 lovely!! may i get a 🎞 for dps or hp pls? i have ~wavy~ shoulder length dark brown hair and i do that annoying little thing where you put on blush to make it look like a sunburn, that mainly covers my freckles. cher horowitz & jackie burkhart are the blueprint when i dress and sometimes my friends make fun of me and call me the pink character :/ i’m passionate about musical theatre, and go to a performing arts school for such and such reason. i also really enjoy baking, doodling, archery. my personality could be described as very warm mom friend who holds ur hand when we cross the street, and worries about you after school type beat. lily evans kinnie :( i’m very loyal, and opinionated and i can be stubborn at times ( all the time babe :( ) thank you so much, and congrats again on a very well deserved 900!!! 💕
ahh thanks so so much lovely !!! of course,, i'll do both bcos i'm a fiend and love writing these things - i hope u like them !!! thanks sm for sending something in <333 i apologise about how long this is - i started writing the dps one completely forgetting i was also doing the hp one,, i have no impulse control
if you were in dead poets society..
i think the first poet you'd meet would be neil! as you're extremely passionate for musical theatre and have a talent for the performing arts, it's not surprising when you end up in a production with him. thanks to your warm personality and neil's extroverted nature and desire to make friends, it doesn't take long for you both to become friendly. he really appreciates your support and help, due to his problems with his dad and such, and thinks you give the most perfect advice. by opening night, you guys are great friends, and he's told you all about the poets who are coming along to watch him and how they'll love you. and he was definitely right, because when mr todd anderson spots you on stage, the lights hitting you just right to where you look like you're glowing, acting like it's second nature to you, his mind goes into overdrive.
after the show, he nervously asks neil about you, trying to act casual, but neil can read him like a book and instantly realises that he has a crush. he invites you over to meet his friends, paying a little extra attention to todd when he introduces the two of you. because he's a devil, he proposes that the poets and you and your friends who've come to support you all go out together - there's a local diner not too far from here that you could all head to at the weekend. everyone thinks this is a great idea, and todd is ready to kill neil. so when the weekend rolls around and you show up, he thinks you're the prettiest person he's seen, the blush on your nose adding to your overall angelic look.
it goes without saying that charlie LOVES your outfits so much - he thinks you have incredible style, and will compliment at least one of your clothing items each and every time he sees you. he will be your main hype man okay. he also definitely wants to do archery with you, because he thinks it's so so badass and he won't turn down an opportunity to add to his self proclaimed coolness.
i also think you'd get on so well with pitts - mom friends stick together, and pitts is definitely a mom friend. you're both the impulse control from the poets, having to convince charlie or knox that their 'genius' ideas are not that genius at all. the fact that you're super loyal is something all of the poets admire - they know they've found a good friend in you, and can always rely on you if they need to.
and when they find out you can bake? oh god, it's chaos. with this new found knowledge, they now desperately want to bake with you and you and pitts have to try and wrangle these overly excited boys so you can make something actually edible.
if you were in harry potter...
again, thanks to your warm nature, people are just drawn to you, so i think you'd get on well with practically everyone at hogwarts. you'd definitely be approached by a lot of the younger students who are nervous or lost, as you look approachable and kind, not intimidating like other students who tower over them and push them in the corridors.
i think you'd be closest to ginny, neville and luna. luna thinks your hair is super pretty, and is constantly placing flowers in it, sometimes even braiding them into the strands if she has time. you and ginny are both stubborn, loyal and opinionated, so you get on extremely well on that front, both enjoying sticking by your friends and standing up for yourself and what you think is right. neville loves seeing your doodles, please slide some towards him during class, it makes them more bearable for him. i can also see you being good friends with angelina johnson!
due to your friendship with angelina, it isn't long before a certain red-head starts catching feelings for you. it's george, i'm talking about george. listen, he just thinks you're super sweet, and he adores your fashion and freckles. plus, with your mom friend attitude and general care for people, how could he not begin falling for you?
BUT if we're talking the marauders era, it's only fitting you're best friends with lily, marlene, dorcas and mary. oh my god, you'd be the most iconic friendship group that everyone else would be jealous of. i'm talking late night karaoke sessions, a silencing charm cast on your dorm to avoid waking up your fellow classmates. there'd be so many hogsmeade outings, wandering around all of the different shops and just enjoying being in each other's company.
i definitely think remus would have the biggest crush on you. he isn't really sure when it started. he just remembers waking up one day with the knowledge that he likes you, and that was that. he'd be a bit apprehensive to make a move, not knowing if you reciprocate his feelings. but if you show any indication? he's jumping at the chance to ask you out
i hope these were okay babe!! like i said, im so sorry about how long they got, i've had a lot of coffee and i'm a menace when it comes to these things- but i truly hope you like them !!! thanks for sending something in, i adore your blog and the fact we're mutuals is mind-blowing <33

Sailor Moon Crystal - Episode Three Recap
First things first, Beryl is still horrible. Great villain, but an awful human lol.
And YES! Nephrite and Zoisite are here!
And Rei’s design.... is SM Crystal trying to make me ship everyone with everyone else and find the females’ designs pretty? Because if so, they’re succeeding greatly lmao.
Her interacting with the little girl (Mie, I think) was adorable, even if it was for a second!
Also LMFAOOOOO Umino is the best. ‘And the final destination is hell’ I’M DEAD. Love him lol.
And Luna spilled the tea better than Sophie Turner does. (Don’t worry I still love her lmao) Kids in public schools suck sometimes with gossip and just in general! (Take it from someone who switched to homeschooling because of it)
HAHAHHAHA Usagi going from sleepy and stubborn to perking up is hilarious when she found out they’d be meeting Ami at the arcade! But was it for her girl crush or her favorite place? ;) Okay I’ll shut up about Usami for a minute lol
Ooh, what’s the new trinket she got from the arcade machine? I’m interested lol
‘You might get to catch a glimpse of a really pretty girl’ I WAS FUCKING RIGHT. Ami Mizuno is a bisexual icon. I believe in this. I called it.
Also I’m sorry but THE MAGIC SHRINE BUS LMFAOOO KSKSJSKSKSJSKJSKS
HOLY HECKING CRAP. Usagi BLUSHED when she saw Rei for the first time. And she had literal hearts in her eyes. If MamoUsa wasn’t my OTP/endgame, I would die for UsaRei to be canon.
REI KNOWS REI KNOWS REI KNOWS. She knows she’s a Sailor Guardian
Oh shit I was wrong
‘So pretty’ USAGI JUST SAY YOU’RE FUCKING BI ALREADY WE ALL KNOW IT’S CANON PRETTY MUCH JUDFKXSJSUUSKA
And Usagi literally got off of the bus to go follow Rei and said after Luna questioned her ‘she’s so beautiful’. Yep, she’s bi.
LMFAOOO REI KNOCKED USAGI OUT I’M CRYING
Seriously, Dark Kingdom? We knew y’all were assholes, but kidnapping a little girl? Come on!
Also the ladies at the shrine were so rude. They’re like Amelie Graham de Vanily multiplied into three separate people, and that’s them; a supreme level of bitchiness lmao.
‘They get spirited away’ and then the crows fly above her. Way to make it seem like the trailer/a sneak peek of a horror film hahah.
Also, CUTE that Mie and Rei are friends! Age-gap friendships rock!
Usagi and Ami’s bracelets are 👌👌👌
LUNA HOW DENSE CAN YOU BE?!?!??!?! Usagi has the same hairdo as the Princess, how have you not figured it out yet? I’m starting to think Ami is the only intelligent source of life on this team
ASAJAJJASJSJSASNASHJ HOLY CRAP
Lmao at Mamoru being next to her on the bus. Was not expecting that lol.
SJAJKAJKSS ROMANTIC MUSIC PLAYING AS THEY SIT TOGETHER I LOVE BUT ALSO HATE THAT TROPE LMFAOOOOOOO
Awww Usagi blushing is adorable. OTP deserves fluff and happiness 💗💗💞💞💞
YASS KWEEN! Usagi sticking up for Rei is everything I never knew I needed 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
And to the three women? I get you’re all concerned about a little girl, as you rightly should be, but accusing someone who she’s friends with and mutually trusts is wrong? Please screw off now, thank you very much :)
And aww poor Rei. Now I’m getting Kagami Tsurugi vibes from her lmao
NOOOO DON’T TELL HER TO LEAVE WHYYYY
Also LMAOing at Rei running through the street. Don’t get it by anyone lol
WHAT THE FUCK IT’S FUCKIN’ JADEITE THAT’S DRIVING THE BUS
OH MY GOD
I WAS KIDDING WHEN I JOKED TO MYSELF ABOUT YOU DRIVING THE BUS WHAT THE HELL
And C’MON YOU BASTARD WHY’D YOU HAVE TO KNOCK REI OUT COLD SHE DOESN’T DESERVE THIS
I hope he crashes the bus. But then again the Generals are my sons and I love them so I’m very conflicted kasjksksjsjahaksjakas
‘Do you think that could be the Demon Bus?’ No Luna, it’s a damn Nissan Honda Focus. Lmfao.
HSJSAAKJSKJSSA A FLIGHT ATTENDANT WHAT GOES ON IN THIS BINCH’S MIND
Also Tuxedo Mask holding Luna is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen
Also ‘that girl’ is your future GF and wife
I KNEW IT JADEITE YOU @$$HOLE
Also off-topic and kinda dumb but Rei’s gorgeous knocked out sksjskssjjsk
Awesome that the bracelets are communicators. Do the glowing dots mean she can detect each one of her Guardians? Blue is Mercury, red is Mars, green’s Jupiter and yellow would be Venus
YAY GLASSES AMI IS BACK
Also loved Luna and Ami speaking in sync lmao
The transformations still rock! (Although I think I prefer 90′s for transforming lol)
JADEITE JUST SAID JADEREI RIGHTS HELL YEAH IT’S SHIPPY HOUR
Usagi and Ami: I love you two to bits, but don’t interrupt the JadeRei I just got.
AW COME ON MERCURY AQUA MIST YOU FAILED
‘You’re only human’ SERIOUSLY JADEITE I DIDN’T NEED THAT SONG TO POP IN MY HEAD LMFAO (love that song, being funny haha)
OH HELL YEAH SAILOR MARS IS HERE NOW IT’S A PARTY
She owned that transformation
But wtf the pose with her arms behind her neck is so weird lmfao
HOORAY FOR IMMUNITY TO JADEITE’S POWERS
YEET THROW THAT TIARA USAGI GO QUEEN
NOOOOO JADEITE JUST DIED WHYYY
R.I.P JadeRei, you were a beautiful ship. Well at least we still have UsaRei and Reinako eventually getting some moments
I’M SOBBING THE REI/MIE INTERACTION WAS TOO PURE
Also that wink Usagi shot Rei was 👌
And WAIT THIS IS THE MASQUERADE BALL ARC WHOOHOO I LOVED IT IN 90′s YAY
Does this mean Nephrite’s gonna appear next episode? (To my followers who’ve seen it, do not spoil or else I will rage)
This was an awesome episode! I love Crystal so far, it’s great! Can’t wait for more!
Until my next recap!

Rereading your gorgeous SM/KHR cross idea and wondering how it would go if they meet earlier? Maybe where Ikkuko realises her no-good brother has a wife & kid and decides Nana needs to know what he has gotten her into? I just think babyTsuna needs more support and two cousin & extended guardians & friends would be amazing. Especially if Tsuna's first flame use is discovered/understood in the magic framework - Tsuna magically willing together an outfit & catchphases because that is what you do ;)
… Oh. Oh, my gods that would be glorious. Let me see, let me see… ok.
So it would have to diverge right around when Chibiusa shows up, because that’s the first time Usagi having relatives outside her household is brought into the narrative. So Usagi, having seen Chibiusa brainwash her parents and brother goes off about not having any cousins. Except oh dear Ikkuko has a good-for-nothing criminal for a little brother. Usagi is furious and also curious and it all cumulates in 12 year old Tsuna getting a surprise visit from his relatives and his “little sister”.
Tsuna doesn’t have a little sister! Cue the screaming and the panic (from Tsuna) and intent interest (from Usagi and Luna), because Tsuna’s seal may be fundamentally horrible but it does have a nice side effect of keeping his Flames and mind safe from outside tampering.
Shingo, being the naturally suspicious brat that he is, twigs to something being wrong because his cousin keeps insisting that he’s an only child. Tsuna’s protests about Chibiusa make more of an impact on Shingo because Tsuna is a new presence in the family and therefore Tsuna’s shrieks are not automatically dismissed as jealousy the way “stupid Usagi’s” dramatics were. Which all leads to Shingo and Tsuna investigating the discrepancy in Shingo’s memories and accidentally discovering that Usagi is Sailor Moon in the process.
Tsuna and Shingo are targeted by and/or get caught up in a Black Moon plot shortly after they discover that Usagi is a Magical Girl. Usagi panics when she finds her cousin and her little brother critically injured and/or brainwashed by the enemy and Moon Crystal Heals them both at the same time.
Tsuna’s seal disintegrates.
Tsuna and Shingo promptly burst into Sky Flames that contain a hefty degree of prismatic rainbow glitter.
Usagi panics more.
The boys are not any calmer.
Tsuna flash-crystalizes a tree. Shingo turns a garden gate into a portal that dumps all three of them into the throne room of the Moon Palace.
Praise be to the All-Seeing Void for the Palace AI that Queen Serenity left behind, because none of these flailing morons are calm enough to take the Sudden Magical Awakening with any grace. The AI directs them to a testing chamber where they can find out who the boys Patrons are. Shingo is a Knight of Janus (with power over doorways, beginnings, and ends), and Tsuna is a Knight of Sancus (with power over loyalty, honesty, and oaths). Usagi finally manages to regain coherency and explains the history of the Silver Millennium and also why they’re all magic.
Assumptions are made.
Assumptions like Usagi’s Lunar Inheritance cross contaminating her younger relatives through their blood connection. None of them have any idea of the Flames being anything except for Magic as a result of post-apocalypse reincarnation. Usagi drops her transformation and tries to do the glowing-without-tranforming fully thing she saw the boys do.
Her clothes shred apart under the force of White Sky Flames. Cue more shrieking. Usagi promptly summons up the ribbons and forms her Senshi uniform. Then she makes the boys swear themselves to secrecy. The boys agree because it’s not as if their clothes fared any better.
Shingo has a few moments of disassociation as he reconciles his flighty big sister with his hero Sailor Moon. Tsuna is having a small moment of panic over the idea of fighting demons by moonlight. Then Usagi gives the boys a crash-course in accessing their magical powers because they’re suck on the moon until Shingo can control his portals enough to get them home.
Thankfully, not only does the eventual transformation provide a semi-coherent users manual for their magic powers, but dropping the transformation restores their clothing to an undamaged state.
They do eventually make it back home. Whereupon they are hustled off by the rest of the Senshi for a debrief and also a rather frantic health check. Because Shingo and Tsuna are magic now and what theeeeeee ever-loving hell how did this happen?
Background to the hysterics of the Lunar Royal Shenanigans, Ikkuko has been getting to know Nana and has a 10 pound cast-iron skillet with her stupid little brother’s name on it. Kenji is prudently hiding behind his newspaper when his wife’s vindictive muttering about no-good deadbeat shames on the family name start rising in volume.
Mamoru avoids making an ass of himself because his fiancées family drama has been distracting him from his nightmares. Also the reality of Shingo and Tsuna waking up their Magic Powers is a huge, glaring difference from the “visions” Mamoru is being sent that he’s rightfully suspicious of how accurate they could really be.
Chibiusa is less likely to run wild or act out because her little trick on the Tsukino’s has gotten wildly out of hand and she’s worried it’ll get worse if she tries to correct it. However, Chibiusa’s initial relationship with Usagi is also a great deal better than it was in canon because Usagi has been so preoccupied with meeting and getting to know Tsuna and Nana that she has less energy to spare for getting worked up about Chibiusa being around, and also because Mamoru isn’t avoiding her Usagi isn’t displacing her resentment about that onto Chibiusa either.
So as soon as Usagi catches on to the fact that Chibiusa is the target of the Black Moon plots Usagi’s instinctive protectiveness of her secret future daughter ramps all the way up because of course Usagi has Hyper Intuition too and the Vongola Tri-Ni-Sette gift is being able to look up and down your current timeline. And so. The Lunar Royals close ranks with all due speed, and Chibiusa is accepted and welcomed with an understanding of her reasons for the brainwashing that took a lot longer to reach in canon.
The Dark Moon Clan get their asses Royally kicked. Pun intended.
The trip to Crystal Tokyo ends the arc, and Pluto is hella confused by the Knights of Janus and Sancus. This isssss… wrong. She doesn’t know where she went wrong but things definitely went wrong somewhere. Oh dear.
Also Neo-Queen Serenity doesn’t remember meeting Chibiusa as a teenager. That should be telling but it’s overlooooooked. XD
Tsuna goes back to Namimori, secure in the knowledge that he has his relatives to support him even if he’s still “dame-Tsuna”. Shingo gets regular practice making portals between Juuban and Namimori because Usagi may whine and complain about it herself but like hell is she letting her little brother and baby cousin get away with being undertrained. There’s no telling when the next Enemy will show up.
Chibiusa comes back for Senshi training, and is doted on by her mother’s past self and her father’s past self and her two Uncles.
Chibiusa treasures her time with Shingo and Tsuna, because they’re weren’t there in Crystal Tokyo and Chibiusa is terrified of what that means. She’s hoping that they just didn’t have a Lunarian lifespan in her original timeline. She’s hoping that with their magic having woken up because of the changes Chibiusa’s presence made to the timeline that they’ll live to see the future Chibiusa comes from.
Chibiusa hopes, but there is a corner of her mind that is expecting the worst. Because Chibiusa is 900 years old and she didn’t know her mother had a little brother until she travelled to the past.
This is where KHR canon comes into play, because KHR introduces the concept of multiple timelines and dimensions as being related to but inherently separated from one another. Chibiusa didn’t travel to the past of her timeline, but to the past of a similar timeline. Chibiusa bringing up Usagi having a cousin changed the timeline. Even Pluto is clueless about the consequences of this. It’s fabulous. ^_^
The Mistress 9 and the search for the Holy Grail thing happens. Everybody gets their power-ups, and the Outer Senshi learn to Believe In The Power Of Love or else. Sailor Moon in Hyper Dying Will Mode is a thing of beauty and existential terror.
Due to the teeny-tiny fact that his seal is gone and all the damage it caused to his psyche has been magically bandaged by Usagi’s healing power, Tsuna is recovering from his trauma much faster than he did in canon. Not having Reborn sitting around to snipe at him for shits and giggles helps. Of course, Tsuna being Tsuna and a Sky and also a member of the Lunarian Royal Family means that he’s started tripping over his Inner Court with truly ridiculous frequency. This goes on for about a year but the relationships in question change very slowly due to Tsuna disappearing to be with his cousins whenever he’s not supposed to be at school.
But! Before anything can actually get resolved we have Reborn show up! Yay! ^_^
And now the KHR Daily Life arc is running congruent to the SM Dread Moon Circus events and it’s a mad banquet of chaos. Reborn is caught wrong-footed more often than he’s comfortable with. The fact that when Tsuna gets shot with the Dying Will Bullet he ends up wearing a sliver-embroidered version of Primo’s suit, complete with cape, is a mystery that Reborn is still trying to figure out.
But hey, at least Tsuna is actively recruiting his Guardians. That’s nice to see.
Tsuna called Usagi on the communicator to wail hysterically about being a Mafia Heir and they took him to the moon so he could hyperventilate in peace for a while. It helped a lot with coming to terms with the situation. Usagi has rightfully pointed out that Ikkuko’s tendency to snarl about Iemitsu makes a lot of sense if she knew her brother was a criminal. So yeah.
Usagi and Shingo stay well away from Namimori at Tsuna’s request. The last thing he wants to see is Reborn’s reaction to more of Primo’s descendants being of trainable age. Luckily Nana’s belief that Chibiusa is her daughter is conditional to Nana speaking to Chibiusa within the last 24 hours. Otherwise she doesn’t recall Chibiusa at all. Which means Reborn has no idea that Tsuna has cousins and a niece living nearby.
Tsuna and Shingo being part of the battles creates an opening for Tigereye, Fisheye, and Hawkeye to get flipped and because Endimiyon is paying more attention this time around the Prince of Earth takes them into his court. So during the “leeching life from the Earth causes Mamoru to fall into a malaise” drama, there’s someone else there to see the ghosts of the Shitennou trying their best to comfort their Prince.
Which naturally spawns a whole other side plot about Mamoru learning to use the Golden Crystal properly so he can pull one of Usagi’s tricks and resurrect his Court. This will, of course, eventually succeed because I like the Shitennou and I think they deserved better than what they got in canon.
Nehellenia gets smashed at around the same time the Ring battles are announced. The confrontations with Squalo and Leviathan happen, and Tsuna panics because there are Mafia Assassins coming for his Court and Tsuna isn’t the member of his family with enough raw power to raise the dead by resetting the entire planetary timeline back by a year.
So Tsuna may just enlist Shingo’s help to abduct all of his Guardians and associated family members because panic and Lunarian protective instincts are not a pretty combination. The Namimori 10th Gen Crew stares blankly at the lovely view of North America offered from the balcony of the Moon Palace as Shingo pats Tsuna’s back and reassures him that “Aneki sent Mama to deal with the Family Shame so it should be safe to go home in a few days”.
Usagi blows in, radiating enough enraged Sky Flames to put even Hibari on his ass and promptly squashes Tsuna in a hug as she promises to be there and turn anyone who wants to hurt her “cute fluffy baby cousin” into dust. Fite her. Usagi dares you.
The news from Tsuna that the Mafia had discovered magic inherited from Silver Millennium citizens being reincarnated on Earth shook the Senshi up and they’re a lot more aggressive about their Guardianship of the Sol System then they were in canon. Also they are planning a massive social reform because do you have any idea how useful more magic users would be when the Enemy comes knocking? Even just having Shingo and Tsuna to help with the fights has caused significant changes to how quickly and successfully the Senshi were able to deal with various threats ever since Chibiusa first popped into the timeline.
So yeah, Tsuna has been funnelling everything he learned about how the Flame Mafia works back to Usagi and her Court so they can figure out how useful they’re going to be when it comes to reestablishing the Sol Kingdom. Having Tsuna’s new Court get killed off by professional assassins before they start working on that was not in the plan.
Something along the lines of the following conversation happens:
“Jyuudaime is a UMA?”
“I’m a Lunarian.”
“You’re an alien!”
“And you are probably a Martian, Hayato! Who cares!”
Then the Senshi drag everyone off for a training montage that starts with learning how to complete a transformation because trying to channel Celestial Power through a squishy baseline non-magical human body is just asking for trouble. It’s a large part of why so many Flame Actives die young. They burn out because they keep getting halfway through the process and then they get stuck.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Reborn is watching Iemitsu get his head caved in by a very pretty woman with Flames in her eyes and the type of voice projection that is unique to mothers and opera singers. Reborn would be more concerned about his dame student disappearing with his fledgling Famiglia so suddenly, except Ikkuko has made it very clear that she’s taken her nephew into her house until her horrible no good deadbeat criminal brother has left and taken his horrible no good wastrel criminal influence away from her sweet kind nephew.
So there, you drunken layabout shame on the family name.
Ikkuko flounces off, leaving Iemitsu heavily concussed and buried under about three kitchens worth of cast iron pans. Reborn doesn’t quite react fast enough to catch the Varia spy that was hanging around, but hopefully Xanxus has enough honour left to leave Ikkuko’s kids alone until after things are decided with Tsuna.
Of course, Reborn doesn’t need to worry about that because Usagi and Shingo are mysteriously nowhere to be found. Just like Tsuna and company are mysteriously nowhere to be found. How very mysterious. ^_^
The Ring Battles happen on far more even grounds, given that the Senshi have made the magic happen when it comes to the 10th Gen Guardians being able to use their Flames and associated Powers. It still comes down to the Sky Battle though, because drama. Tsuna looks at Xanxus from close range for the first time and oh.
So that’s where Chibiusa got her eyes.
Instead of Zero Point, Xanxus gets a face full of Moon Healing, complete with the mind melding memory sharing BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF LOVE blasting mystical heart-to-heart that brought Chibiusa back from the corruption of Wiseman’s Black Lady. There is so much glitter. Glitter everywhere. The Varia have no fucking clue what just happened. The CEDEF have no fucking clue what just happened. The attendant Arcobaleno have excellent poker faces but? They have no fucking clue what just happened.
The ghost of Primo and Secondo make guest appearances during Tsuna and Xanxus’ heart to heart. The most bedazzled of family feuds took place within the span of about 6 seconds. The fight ends. Xanxus spits out sparkles and concedes the Sky Ring to Tsuna.
Tsuna cackles, because he recognizes the Ring as being blood locked to his direct lineage and instinctively knows that the Ring is the best possible Channel for his powers. The Vongola Rings are gathered up and dropped on Luna and Artemis with polite requests that they study them and then fine tune or upgrade the Rings to match with Sol Kingdom expectations of Magic Foci.
The 10YL Arc is immediately derailed because Tsuna has experience with time travel to possible futures and he recognizes that they aren’t in their natural timeline anymore because the 10YL Tsuna didn’t have Usagi waiting in the wings to wreak holy righteous vengeance in response to his assassination.
Byakuran was not expecting to get lectured and then turned into a pile of glitter dust. No he was not.
The Sailor Stars have a lot more trouble dismissing the Senshi as childish and naive thanks to the Mafia politicking the Senshi have since been exposed to. Also, thanks to said Mafia information network, Usagi is informed of Mamoru’s death within hours of the plane exploding. Seiya’s attempts to charm Usagi are subsequently rejected without mercy because instead of feeling neglected by her boyfriend Usagi is in mourning.
The Galaxy Cauldron thing occurs with far less waffling around.
Then the Arcobaleno Trails happen, and Kawahira was not expecting the Crown Princess Serenity to show up and rip him a new one for being a jerk. Between the Silver and the Gold Crystals the Arcobaleno Curse is broken, the Vindice all get healed of their hatred and are living people again, and Kawahira gets put in time out on the Moon for being a jackass.
Mamoru and his Generals take point on dealing with Enma and the Simon because they are Earth Flame users and even before most of the life in the Sol System got wiped out Earth Mages were vanishingly rare. I mean, he knows now that the sharp decline in Earth’s magic-capable population was because of Metallica sneaking around and abducting them, but back at the time it was just an accepted fact that most Earth Born just didn’t have magic. Only now there’s this Mafia Family that does and given how Usage’s situation worked out Mamoru has suspicions.
Especially given how Mamoru was orphaned in a car crash and there was very little information available to be found on the “Chiba” family. Can we all say “cover up”?
Rei sticks an ofuuda on Daemon and exorcises him with extreme prejudice.
Mamoru and Usagi get married and the slow buildup to the creation of Crystal Tokyo begins.
The End. ^_^

AMBER X LUNA - LOWER
[6.00]
come back f(x) wlu
Maxwell Cavaseno: f(x) may have been one of the strangest of the more beloved girl groups in K-Pop, mostly because their most valuable members (Amber, Sulli) were the ones who offered the least value in conventional vocal performances (Amber rapped and therefore isn't upheld as the best vocalist, whereas Sulli hit like 2 notes on a good day). Since then the solo careers spawning from the group's dismantling have been a weird sea of critical praise for lifeless generic dance pop from unremarkable vocalists (take your pick), or Amber being an intensely adorable dork with just a... truly Amber-like run of poor career choices . "Lower" here unfortunately feels more like the former category, with the production by Ferry Corsten really phoning in the most run of the mill attempts at modern house, and a scrapped together dance hook that feels like imitation Calvin Harris quite a couple years too late. It's another frustrating reminder that someone with a lot of versatility is being treated so reductively, for the sake of technically suitable but relatively unremarkable talents. [5]
Ryo Miyauchi: It's nice to hear Amber in a non-rapping role, nailing the same deftness as her group mates in a sultry deep house track. The beat works less in favor for Luna, who cools off into a voice too passive especially coming off the glow of "Free Somebody." While "Lower" is a better collaboration than "Heartbeat," there's still a better middle point for these two. [6]
Leonel Manzanares: The f(x) girls can truly dominate over house beats, whether it's by rapping with a Migos flow over some dark garage beat, or going full piano house diva mode, so it should come as no surprise that this whole number is executed almost perfectly. I just really wanted that chord change in the pre-chorus to lead to its conclusion (F) instead of going back to the root (C). Sometimes restraint is the best option, but this wasn't it. [7]
Thomas Inskeep: 2/5 of f(x) sing a duet over what sounds like an Above & Beyond cast-off. They can, and should, do better. [4]
Alfred Soto: The balancing of wist and the exigencies of modern dance resolve themselves in a powerful break at the two-minute mark, where it not for the return of Amber x Luna to give us another tour of their love-damaged hearts exposed on the dance floor. [7]
Iain Mew: I appreciate this as a sexy song that gets across both an energetic urgency and a sense of being immersed in the moment. Often there's a lot more of one than the other, and this feels different and right. [7]
Edward Okulicz: This walks a tightrope of tension with the delicate "lower, lower, slower slower" prechorus before the beats blast the tentativeness away for the carnal pleasures of beats and bass. Such a light touch too -- 100% heat but 0% humidity. [8]
Joshua Minsoo Kim: Luna kicks off another year with a collaborative single that serves to hold over fans who anxiously await f(x)'s return. "Lower" aims to be the sultry counterpart to Amber and Luna's previous tracks, trading in bright, anthemic EDM for nocturnal, club-friendly house. Their seductive coos ("You're so deep babe", "In your dream babe", "Let me in") clue us into this, but they unfortunately flatten their personalities. The moody instrumental passage that follows doesn't tie everything together either: it tries to hold tension but deflates all momentum instead. As evidenced by Jonghyun's "Rewind" (the first post-Yaeji K-pop song?), SM's attempts at dance music crossovers are constantly expanding, and they're now comfortable with a song's instrumentation doing nearly all the heavy lifting. I'm not sure it's doing enough, though; they want to go "Lower" but I'm not sure I'm down/다운. [4]
