thank you for showing me that deleted scene i can't believe i'd never come across it before 🥹
Ya'll we need to talk more about the S2 deleted scene where the Doctor and Rose are holding hands, chatting and walking to the Powell Estate, it's such a beautiful moment of casual intimacy, domesticity, and really shows how close they were- not to mention how happy he was :(
I wish there was a way to find a complete script with that scene in it, they're obviously talking about someone specific
Rose says "we get on really well" to which the Doctor responds "oh she really wants to see you again"...maybe Sarah Jane??

more ways than one
in which...
luke shows up to fem! reader's college soccer game.
Luke scanned his ticket, walking into the stadium. He had a really big test coming up, but the second Mark, Ethan, and Dylan invited him to watch the girl’s soccer team take on Michigan State, he dropped everything and headed towards the stadium.
“I heard that Y/N girl is really good.” Ethan said, leading the group of boys to their seats.
Mark hummed, “Is that the girl who absolutely destroyed you at beer pong last week?” Mark’s comment caused the boys to laugh, and Ethan to grimace.
“Yeah.”
“Well if her soccer skills are anything like her beer pong skills, I’d say that what you heard is right.” Luke stated, getting a few more jabs at Ethan.
Dylan chirped in, “She’s only a sophomore and she’s captain and she’s leading the whole NCAA in goals. I mean, why do you think her friends called her the ‘sophomore sniper’ when they introduced her at the party?”
Mark laughed at Dylan’s slight rant, “Sounds like someone has a little crush.”
“I do not! I just did my research before coming here.” Dylan retorted. “If anything Luke’s the one with the crush. He told us he had a huge test coming up, but the second we mention girls soccer, he drops everything. A little suspicious, no?”
A warm feeling rose to Luke’s face. Knowing Dylan was right, he just laughed it off and stayed quiet.
Luke had approached you at said party because the second he laid eyes on you the boy was smitten. The two of you talked the whole night, but by the end of it you were both too drunk to remember to exchange numbers. Sure, he could’ve asked around the fraternity, but he wasn’t sure if you remembered your interaction at all. So he saw this game as a perfect opportunity to get your number.
You could hear the laughter approaching close to the field. It was familiar, but you didn’t care enough to turn around as you were on your 47th juggle.
“No way you get 70!” Your teammate, Jules, exclaimed.
You laughed, “Not if you keep talking!”
She chuckled as she watched you closely. Soon enough, you had passed seventy, nearing ninety. You hit 86, wanting to go for more but your coach called out your name, telling you to go meet with the refs to decide which side you wanted. Settling the ball with a groan, Jules grabbed your hand and pulled you to the midfield with a slight tug.
You greeted the refs and the opposing team’s captains with a slight smile. When you went to shake one of the girls’ hands, they both side-eyed each other, looking you and Jules up and down, then refusing your hand.
Furrowing your brows, you let out a small scoff at their attitudes, but let it go as you picked ‘tails’ for the coin flip.
It was heads, and they picked having the right side of the field, meaning you’d have the ball first. As you walked away, heading back to the rest of your team, Jules’s laughter filled your ears.
“Oh my god! The attitude they had?” She laughed.
You gave her a smile, “I know! On our field too.”
The closer you got to the sidelines, your eyes couldn’t help but take a glance at the group of boys who had sat down laughing. The second you could make out their features, a smile grew on your face. Luke was sitting there, along with three other boys which you quickly realized as his hockey teammates. You had been trying to get his number ever since the interaction you had at the party, but never found the right time to. In your head, you promised yourself you’d get it tonight.
You decided to snap out of your thoughts and nudged Jules, “Look. Your boy toy is here.”
Jules’s eyes widened as she followed your eyes, “What the hell are they doing here?” She walked over to the fence to say something you couldn’t quite hear, but figured she called Ethan over as he walked down a few steps to talk to her.
Not caring enough to eavesdrop, you walked towards the rest of your team, letting them know you’d have ball first. They nodded, going back to their warm up. You took a glance up at the scoreboard which had the clock displayed on it. There was around five minutes left, and you wanted to do some long passing.
“Jules!” You called out, bringing her attention back to you.
She said something to Ethan before jogging back towards you. “Sorry. Long passes?” You nodded, “What was that about?
“They invited us to get some food after the game. You down?”
“Is Luke gonna be there?” You asked.
Jules smirked at your question, “Yeah. Why?”
You left her question unanswered, smiling as you walked away from her with a ball at your feet.
Five minutes went by quickly, as you heard the whistles blowing, telling you that the game was about to start. You jogged towards your team, listening to a quick pep talk before getting ready to hear the starting line up and National Anthem.
You blanked out during the whole process, too focused on the game ahead of you. By the time you knew it, the whistle blew and you passed the ball to one of your teammates.
Knowing exactly what play you were running, the second you saw the ball get to Jules, who was playing at the left wing, you made a diagonal run towards the goal. It was a high cross, but you managed to settle it at your feet before taking a shot from the 20 yard line. You watched as the ball soared towards the top corner of the net, making its way past the keeper’s gloves.
You ran towards Jules, who was waiting for you at the corner flag. The two of you did the handshake you did every single time one of you assisted the other's goal, before hugging each other, then the rest of you teammates.
As you ran back down the field to restart, you couldn’t help but take a glance up at the stands. They were decently packed, but your eyes quickly found the ones you were looking for.
You saw Luke sit back down from his standing position and to no one’s surprise he was looking right at you. You pointed at him with a smile and he quickly returned the action.
While you focused back on the game, Luke was getting teased by his friends.
“Ooo! Lukey’s got game!” Ethan exclaimed, shaking his friend by the shoulders.
Luke laughed, “Shut up.”
~✩~
The game ended an hour or so later, the final score being 4-2. You had scored three of those four goals, earning you a post-game interview with some reporters who had shown up at the game.
They had decided to interview you on the sidelines. This meant you were close enough to be near your team, but also close enough so Luke and the other guys could hear what you were saying.
“Y/N, amazing performance out there tonight! What would you say is the biggest factor in your training that makes you such a valuable player out there?” The interviewer asked, bringing a mic close to your face.
“The conditioning, for sure. I mean, we’re making a lot of long back and forth runs out there and we’re able to do so consistently because of that conditioning.” You answered, smiling slightly to take away the nerves you were feeling.
The interviewer nodded, “You pointed to someone after that first goal. Was it a family member, a friend, or…?”
You let out a soft laugh, “Um, no. It was a good friend of mine that I'm meeting up with after this."
Luke heard your words, as did his friends. His eyes widened at your statement, specifically the part where you said you were hoping to meet up with him.
“Oh shit!” Mark exclaimed, “Bro, she's talking about you!" He shook his head, “We don’t even know if she’s talking about me. She could’ve been pointing at one of you.” The boys laughed at his statement.
“I’m talking to her best friend, Mark’s taken, and Dylan’s not her type.” Ethan said.
“What’s wrong with me?” Dylan asked jokingly, yet seriously.
Mark shrugged, “She said she was into tall guys. As in, guys over six feet.”
Laughing at Mark’s words, the group of boys made their way down to the field to wait for Jules and hopefully, you.
Jules made her way over the boys, sliding her hand into Ethan’s. “What’s Luke all red for?”
“Y/N mentioned him in her interview just now.” Ethan told her casually.
Her eyes widened, “Seriously?”
Luke quickly shook his head, “We don’t know for sure it was about me.”
Before Jules could question it any more, you were walking over. You gave everyone a quick greeting which they happily returned. As you were all about to make your way towards the exit, you decided now was a better moment than ever.
“Hey Luke? Can I talk to you for a second?” You asked, trying to ignore all the stupid grins on everyone else's faces.
He smiled and turned around, “Yeah.”
The two of you stepped away from the group towards an area on the sidelines where people couldn’t hear you.
“Great game tonight.” He said, trying to dissolve some of the awkwardness that was beginning to build.
You smiled, “Thanks. I appreciate you coming.” “Yeah, anything for a good friend of mine.” He smirked, quoting your previous words.
You looked away and laughed, now knowing he heard that part of your interview. “Funny. Anyway, I had a really good time talking with you last week and I was hoping to maybe get your number?” Luke’s face turned slightly red yet again as he smiled and nodded as you pulled out your phone so he could type in his information. “I was hoping you’d ask.”
After he handed you your phone back, the two of you made your way back to your friends.
Jules pulled you back slightly, letting the boys walk ahead, “Looks like you scored in more ways than one, huh?”
“I definitely did.”

The general assumption around Criston and Alicent's relationship is that it's some toxic, unhealthy thing that they both settle for because they have no one else to turn to. This is an interesting reading of them, but based on the few scenes of them together that we have they seem to be the healthiest partnership in the show.
Of all the partnerships between men and women, Criston and Alicent's is the only one with a genuine balance of power. In every other pairing the man is in control and does not allow their woman to make decisions for the pair or for herself. We see Corlys ignore Rhaenys's input and wish's about betrothing Laenor and Rhaenyra and about disinheriting Baela and we can assume from her discomfort that she rose similar ignored objections about pushing Viserys to marry Laena. We see Viserys abuse both his wives and ignore their wishes for bodily autonomy. We see Daemon murder one wife, ignore the wishes of another and then belittle and assault his third wife until she complies with his wishes.
In sharp contrast to those dynamics, Alicent is clearly the one in charge in her relationship with Criston. However Alicent is not overbearing and controlling with Criston. On driftmark he is able to tell her no. He decides what he is willing to do for her and seemingly does not fear any retaliation for his decisions. The exact reasoning behind Criston's decision not to try to take Luke's eye are up for interpretation, but we don't really see any other partnership on the show where the subservient party's refusal is respected.
The only maybe comparable relationship is Rhaenyra's relationship with Laenor and Harwin. We see so little of the three of them that its hard to draw conclusions, but Rhaenyra does seem to be in charge. However she's clearly frustrated with Laenor's failures as a husband and is unable to get him to perform his duties. It's fairly clear that the planned partnership they had in episode 5 has failed, to the point that Rhaenyra gets rid of him in episode 7. Alicent and Criston's partnership on the other hand seems to be going strong after over 15 years.
There are a variety of ways that people say that the Alicent Criston dynamic is toxic. The most common is the view that Criston holds Alicent on a pedestal and doesn't actually know or see the real her only an idolized view of the Madonna in contrast to Rhaenyra the whore. I don't think that reading fits with what we see of their interactions. Criston is unflinchingly at Alicent's side in her ugliest moments. Alicent is willing to rant about Rhaenyra's bastards to him, showing her neuroticism and anxiety and anger. She shows no fear of being judged for what she says and I think we're meant to assume such venting sessions are a common occurrence for them. Alicent's behavior in that scene does not in anyway resemble an idolized divine image of the mother and yet Criston is not at all surprised or resentful or disturbed, in fact he's comfortable enough with Alicent being like that that he gets similarly petty (and misogynistic). Again on driftmark Criston sees Alicent at her lowest, most human and angry. While he is unwilling or unable to take Luke's eye he rushes to her side the moment she goes to attack Rhaenyra. Again this is Alicent at her least stereotypically motherly, least divine, most violent and angry and we don't see Criston be bothered by her not fitting into the image of her that he's created. The idea of Alicent needing to play the role of divine mother to maintain support is very interesting, but it doesn't really fit with her behavior around Criston. Playing that part is extremely difficult, it's literally an impossible standard that women are held to, and it takes constant effort. If Alicent was doing that with Criston we would see that effort and her fear at the moments when her facade slips, but instead we see Alicent trusting Criston with her most vulnerable and human moments.
Another way people say Alicent and Criston are toxic is to say that Alicent is afraid of Criston and only keeping him around because she can weaponize his hatred of Rhaenyra and point it at her enemies. Their is certainly some truth to Criston having a violent streak that he struggles to control. However in episode 9 it is very clear that Alicent doesn't need to fear him or manipulate him, and that his loyalty to her has nothing to do with hating Rhaenyra. Criston shows his loyalty two notable times in the episode. The first is after he kills Beesbury (which to be clear was bad. Murder is wrong), when Westerling and Criston are facing off. Alicent tells him to lower his sword and he does so. When one of the only comparably skilled swordsmen in the world has his blade at Criston's throat and Alicent tells him to lower his sword he does so without question. He unflinchingly trusts Alicent's judgement with his life. There is every possibility that Westerling will just kill him there, but he doesn't hesitate or complain or do anything but obey his queen, trusting her attempt to deescalate the situation. The second time is when Alicent asks Criston to find Aegon for her. Criston was at the council meeting, and since he's not an idiot he understands that the stakes of the search for Aegon is Rhaenyra's life. He is actively choosing to do something that he knows will save Rhaenyra's life because Alicent asks him to. That completely destroys the idea that his loyalty and relationship to Alicent has anything to do with hating Rhaenyra. In fact if he was motivated by hatred of Rhaenyra he would be the obvious choice to lead the assassination trip to dragonstone. Otto would obviously know that, but he still thought he had a better chance asking Westerling who has been protecting Rhaenyra since she was a child than he did asking Criston.
(Side note: the whole idea of Otto asking a knight who is loyal to Rhaenyra to do an assassin's job is absolutely ridiculous. Given that Otto is competent at his job and has known this would be happening he should absolutely have actual assassins lined up to do what they're best at. However I'm ignoring that for this analysis to view the episode as written.)
A final way that people say Alicent and Criston is toxic is that they enable each other with the delusion that they are good people because they follow the rules of society. While I do think that they enable each other in some ways. It's not that they let each other pretend that they're good people, they let each other be good people, by being good to each other. Alicent protects someone she barely knows, in a way that is actively detrimental to her political goals, simply because Criston does not deserve to be scandalized, have his family's name ruined and then be tortured to death. Criston serves an honorable queen, being a father to her children and respecting her when seemingly no one else does. The lie that they enable isn't that they're good, it's that being good means anything. They can convince each other that 'in the end honor and decency will prevail' even when they are each others only evidence of that fact.
Now with all that said, I'm not arguing that Alicent and Criston's relationship should only be viewed as wholesome and healthy and lovely (though it can be). They are both traumatized as fuck and are products of their terrible society that they can't escape, and may not even understand well enough to want to escape. There is so much stuff to dig into without resorting to a simplistic terrible version of their relationship, especially when thinking about them attempting to have a romantic or sexual relationship.
So yeah people should view alicole as more than just terrible Alicent's punishment for not defeating the patriarchy and being liberated like Rhaenyra.

I. Sword Training.
The sun dipped down low, casting a warm golden hue over the training arena. Everybody was soaking in the nice weather which Luke seemed was the perfect weather to be outside and work on some sword fighting skills.
Unfortunately, Percy the one who was sparing with Luke on this oh so wonderful day and he wasn't exactly going easy on him.
The blonde huffed, dodging one of Luke's attacks as he stumbled back a bit almost tripping over his own two feet. He had clenched onto his sword a little tighter as he wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead.
Percy stood back up straight, getting into position until his ears perked up at the sound of a familiar voice followed by a very familiar giggle that send butterflies straight to his stomach.
He had turned his head so quick it was a surprise he hadn't somehow got whiplash. His gaze softened, a smile growing onto his features as he saw you.
You were helping braid one of the Athena girl's hair so that it would stay out of her face while training. You looked concentrated yet welcoming, a wide grin on your face as your hands were clad with rubber bands and bobby pins.
He knew that Luke should have been his main focus, he was the best in the camp so it probably would have done him some good to focus on him but it was like he couldn't look away from you. The way the sun casted onto your body, filtering it perfectly like some sort of professional picture.
You looked like some sort of angel that had been placed there by random, just to admire.
Percy didn't realize how long he had been staring until you were scanning the training arena while finishing up on the braid of the Athena girl then your eyes had met his.
His eyes went wide for a second, fearing that somehow you could sense that he had been admiring you and you were now weirded out by him.
But you had simply smiled and gave the boy a wave which he had mirrored.
Before he could even enjoy the short interaction between the two of you he felt his feet being swept from under him, his face meeting the ground a few seconds after as his sword clattered next to him as he groaned.
"Pay attention." Luke scolded, a small smug smile on features as he looked between the two of you.
Percy's face grew slightly pink as she stood up, dusting himself off. He quickly looked back towards you, seeing that your lips were pressed together as if you were trying not to giggle which only made his face grow warmer.

"Word of advice," Luke reached out his hand to help Percy up, pulling him up from the ground as he helped him dust off himself.
He chuckled, handing him back his sword as he rose his eyebrows in your direction. "Worry about your opponent, not your little girlfriend."
"Shhhh! Shut up! Shut up! She is not my girlfriend!"
Luke chuckled, putting some space between the two of them. "Not yett!" The dark haired boy hummed in a sing-song tone and Percy rolled his eyes, looking back over his shoulder to look at you.
He gave a slight nervous smile and you gave him a thumbs up of encouragement, clapping your hands shortly after and he chuckled.
Then he ate dirt again.

II. Jewelry.
Percy didn't know a lot about girls, but he did know that they usually like jewelry.
Weather it be grand or small, most of the girls at the camp had a statement piece of jewelry. And literally everybody wore those beaded necklaces so there had to be a small chance that you would like his gift.
Or at least he hoped.
Percy paced nervously, clutching a small box in his hand. He looked down at it, rubbing his thumb along it as he took a short breath in and out to calm himself.
Finally finding enough courage, Percy approached you who was relaxing under the shade of a tree. A small bowl of grapes next to you as your eyes were focused on your book.
"Uhm..hey, [Y/n]," Percy greeted, his heart pounding in his chest as his grip grew tighter around the small box.
You had looked up from your book, placing your bookmark in its spot and smiled up at the blonde. "Hey, Percy! What's up?"
"I uh, got something for you. I'm not too sure if you're a huge jewelry person but it was pretty and made me think of you, so.." He trailed off, realizing that he was going to start rambling so he just handed the box to you.
Your brows raised at the small box, untying the bow from it before you slid off the top and a small gasp left your lips.
It was a [gold/silver] bracelet with a grape vine pendant. The amethyst like jewels and beads shining in the light. Your smile had grew as you stared in awe at the bracelet for a short while before looking back up at Percy.
"This is the cutest thing, you really shouldn't have." You giggled, putting the bracelet on around your wrist and adjusting it to your likings. Percy's smile grew as he saw yours, it was a gift how contagious your smile was.
"It was nothing, really. I thought you'd like it.." He replied with a small shoulder shrug, watching as you rubbed your fingers over the main grape piece of the necklace.
"Like it? I love it, I'm never taking it off!" You stated, wrapping your arms around Percy and pulling him in for a tight hug which he savoured for the small amount of time it lasted.

III. Flowers.
"You can never go wrong with flowers as a gift! Everybody loves a pretty bouquet!"
Was the advice he received from one of the girls from the Demeter cabin. She had even agreed to help pick out a few flowers so that the bouquet would look neat.
He approached Cabin twelve, swallowing the lump in his throat. He took in a small breath as he clenched onto the bouquet with one hand, the other knocking against the door.
He rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet, his eyes scanning the lilac exterior of the cabin. It had more than a few overgrown grapevines growing freely along it. It was a wild touch to the cabin that he liked.
Percy turned his head back to the door as he heard it creak open followed by your familiar yet warm giggle.
"Well if it isn't my favorite boy from cabin three! What do I owe the pleasure?" You hummed, leaning against the doorframe and he couldn't help but chuckle, his ears growing warm because he was the only boy from cabin three.
"I uhm..I was out and picked these for you. Maybe you could use them as decoration or.. something.." He trailed off, holding out the bouquet before he started rambling.
Your eyes lightened as you took the bouquet from him and smelled them, inhaling the scent from each flower. "First a bracelet, now flowers? You're too sweet."
Percy Jackson: 2
Embarrassment: 2
"And they're such beautiful flow-achoo!"
"Bless you."
"Thank y-achoo!" You sniffled, brows furrowing a bit as you looked back at the bouquet, eyes now narrowing in slight skepticism.
"Percy what flowers or-achoo! Plants are in this bouquet?"
"Uhm.." Percy's brows furrowed, his eyes narrowing as he tried to remember all of the flowers that the Demeter girl had told him to grab. "Dandelions, Daisy's, lavender-"
"Percy, I'm really really-achoo! Sorry, but I can't accept this. I'm-achoo! Allergic to lavender...makes me break out and-achoo!"
Panic washed over Percy as he realized his mistake. "[Y/n], I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were allergic," He exclaimed, scrambling to grab the bouquet from the girl.
Despite her sneezing fits, [Y/n] managed a small, understanding smile. "It's okay, Perc-achoo! I appreciate the gesture! It really was-achoo! Sweet!"
He put the flowers at a distance from you, brows drawn up in worry. "Want me to get you some Benadryl and ointment? The Apollo kids might have some at the medic center."
You sneezed into your elbow, nodding shortly as you sniffled.
"Okay! I'll be right back, again I'm so so sorry!" He apologized, walking away from the cabin as quickly as he could do that he could discard the bouquet and retrieve the allergy medicine.
Percy Jackson: 1
Embarrassment: 4 (Bonus points for almost killing your crush!!)
IV. Apology gift basket.
Everyone knew that all Dionysus kids loved grapes, they usually all had a sepfific drink they were drawn to but everyone could agree they enjoyed grapes or grape flavored things.
It was almost comedical how many times someone could see them chewing on a couple or sipping grape juice from one of those small juice boxes.
So in attempts to make up for the last gift and also an apology, Percy decided that he could just make you a cute gift basket of all your favorite grape related things along with other stuff.
There was no way he could mess this up.
So here he was again, approaching the pale lilac door of the Dionysus cabin (that he was pretty sure had more vines than the last time he stopped by) and trying not to let his nerves show as his hands were shaking.
He rose his fist to knock against the cabin door and he waited until it had opened but this time it wasn't your face that greeted him.
It was one of your sisters who had snickered slightly. "Well if it isn't the boy that tried to kill our sister. Here for round two, fish face?"
Percy's lips pursed into a thin line. "Hah. Look, it was an honest accident. I just wanted to bring her this as an apology." He said and your sister looked him up and down and before she could even open her mouth to make another joke at his expense he saw your head pop from beside her.
"Percy!" You smiled warmly, patting your sister on the shoulder who moved away from the door as you replaced her spot.
"Just can't get enough of me, huh? I feel like I've seen you everyday this week." You commented an Percy's face felt warm as you pointed that out. Had he been too clingy this week and was that throwing you off in anyway? Maybe you found him weird. Especially after the whole flower murder attempt.
"It's sweet, don't get me wrong! I love seeing your face, you're very easy to repetitively see! If that makes sense at all..." You reassured, somehow being able to sense the worry that was spreading across his fingers and he smiled in relief.
"Oh okay, good.."
"Is that another gift for little ol' me?" You asked, pointing to the dark purple basket which seemed to have more things that were multiple shades of purple inside of it.
"Uhm...yeah it's an apology for the other day." Percy said, holding out the basket to you and you smiled softly as you took it from his grasp.
"Aww you didn't have to do that! Seriously, I'm not upset about it. I know you wouldn't have gave me them if you knew." You hummed, looking at everything that was in the gift basket. Cartons of grape juice, green grapes, purple grapes, bracelets, amethyst charms, a couple of your other favorite snacks.
"I know.." The blonde sighed. "But I just really wanted a do over. Which is why, I got you these.." Percy moved his arm that was hidden behind him and holding out a another bouquet.
"And, I asked around to triple check so it's one hundred percent allergy proof!"
The bouquet was just as neatly put together as the last yet this one seemed less wild with only two types of flowers, indigo hyacinths with ivory baby's breath littered between them. Wrapped to stay together in a beautiful white bow.
You leaned to smell them, Percy getting that feeling of deja vu as you smiled down at the bouquet.
"I think this might be cuter than the last. And just like you promised." You took another small from the bouquet, your warm smile never leaving your face. "Allergy free!"
Percy Jackson: 2
Embarrassment: 4
V. Birthday party surprise.
Percy learned very quickly that the Dionysus cabin had the mentality of 'Go big or go home.' so when your birthday came around he was surprised to see your brothers and sisters going the extra mile. Grover was out with you, trying to keep you distracted for the afternoon by taking you on a 'quest'.
The entire afternoon the camp was buzzing with laughter and conversations of how the night would go.
The entrance of the mess hall was decorated with lilac ribbons and streamers, a large banner in front of it with the words 'Happy Birthday, [Y/n]!' in pretty letters.
The mess hall was decorated with dark purple tarps along each table, a few small violet flowers placed at each table by the Demeter kids. There were two tables specifically for bowls of food. It had your favorite types of fruits, snacks, chips and a pretty [f/flavor] cake decorated by one of the Iris kids.
Percy had never seen so much purple all in one space, he didn't know whether it was creative or an eyesore but he kept that to himself as he was helping set up the rest of the snack table.
As he was doing so he overheard one of the Demeter boys, Atlas, talking with one of his brothers.
"Yeah, I was thinking about asking her out. Today would be perfect, huh? Right on her birthday!" He hummed as he set up a few more of the small violet flowers.
Percy glanced at the two from the corner of his eye as he finished setting up the table, brows furrowed a bit in slight disgust.
"I don't know, her and Percy seem pretty close."
"Nah. Hey, Percy!" He called out and Percy turned his head to him, trying not to show his frustration through his features as his hand gripped around the bag of chips. "Yeah?"
"Are you and [Y/n] dating?" The brunette asked and he bit down on the inside of his cheek, hard. He wanted to say yes more than anything but that would be him lying and being delusional.
"No, but she won't want anything to do with you." He said, poison dripping from his sour tone. The boy only chuckled as he place a few of the flowers down. "And you think she'll want something to do with you?"
"What's that supposed t-"
"Guys, cmon! She's here!" One of the girls from the Iris cabin exclaimed, eyes scanning around the mess hall to make sure everything looked nice.
Percy shot a small glare towards Atlas before heading towards the front of the mess hall with everybody else. Everybody was attempting to shush everybody as they heard a familiar voice.
"I just didn't get that quest, why did he want us to go out and get a-"
"SURPRISEEE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [Y/N]!! "
You had jumped, a bit startled as everybody jumped from each side of the mess hall entrance, a few party poppers filled with confetti being shot your way with the sound of kazoos and happy hoots.
A large smile made it's way on to your face as you shook a few pieces of confetti from your body. You giggled. "Aw, guys! You shouldn't have!"
"Yes we did!" One of your brothers hummed, strapping one of those stupid little birthday cone hats on your head. "Come on, we have all your favorites!"
"Even [weird snack]?"
"You'll be the only one eating it. Well, you and Percy."
You smiled towards the blonde and he returned it. "Did you know they were planning all this too?"
He shook his head. "I just found out about it today. Not your birthday, obviously! I knew it was your birthday, I just didn't know they were planning all this."
"Yeah, they do the most whenever they get the chance. Just want until yours I bet we'll try to find a way to get a water park in the camp." You giggled and he shook his head with a snicker.
"I would only want one thing for my birthday."
"And what's that?"
Before Percy could give his answer you were pulled away.
He sighed, he would get a chance before the evening and night came to an end or at least before Michael could get a word in.
It turned out that it was a lot harder than he thought it would be. Every time he thought he had a chance to talk to you were swept away by somebody else. They weren't joking when they said Dionysus kids knew how to plan a party, it was lively the entire time.
It was near what Percy assumed what almost eleven when things started to get more calm. Most heading to their cabins to catch some shut eye. (The Hypnos kids tapping out earliest.)
He finally had an opportunity as you were getting yourself another slice of cake. He took in a deep breath and approached you.
Until the front of his shoe snagged onto something, causing him to fall forward right near the punch bowl. The bowl toppling over onto his head as the purple juice drowned him. He squeezed his eyes shut as the syrupy liquid dropped down his hair and skin.
It was almost dead silent, most chatter stopping and one of the Apollo kids pausing the music.
Once he could finally open his eyes he almost wish he hadn't. Everyone was staring at him either like he was a beaten puppy or they were laughing. Laughing like the funniest joke had just been told and of course Atlas was laughing the hardest.
Percy's didn't even want to see your expression. He didn't want to see you trying to hold back a laugh or staring at him with pity. Both thoughts made his face growing warmer by the minute. He quickly got up from the floor and stormed out of the mess hall, making a B-line for his cabin as he ignored a few shouts of his name.

ANDDDD YOU'RE OUT, LOSER!!
Percy was still attempting to wash the sticky liquid from his hair as he heard a knock at the cabin door. He assumed it was either Grover or Luke, coming to try and make him feel better but it wouldn't help any in his opinion.
"Look, I don't need some bro to bro talk right n-" He stopped, seeing you instead of either of the two boys which was arguably worse.
"Not here to do a bro to bro, but I did want to check on you."
"I'm fine. It was grape juice, not acid."
"I know, still really gross though." You commented. "I'm sorry they laughed at you. That was mean."
Percy shrugged, adverting his gaze.
"What would you want?"
He rose a brow in slight confusion, tilting his head a bit as he looked back to you. "What?"
"For your birthday. You never got the chance to tell me."
Percy had already embarrassed himself to what he believed was the max. To get this off his chest wouldn't be anymore embarrassing than what had just happened.
"You. I would just want you."
He braced himself to be ridiculed but that had never came.
"That's what I wanted."
"What?" He parroted his same confusion from earlier yet your smile had stayed the same.
"You, Percy. I just wanted you. Don't get me wrong I love a party but if I just got to spend the day with you I wouldn't of been mad." You explained and his lips parted in slight shock.
"Really?"
You nodded, ruffling the towel on his head to cover his eyes as you placed a small kiss on the bridge of his nose before moving to place a soft kiss on his lips.
Percy was frozen in the doorway of his cabin as you pulled away, the same smile on your face as you moved the towel from over his face. He had a look of disbelief as his entire face grew red and you couldn't help but giggle.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Percy. Goodnight!"
"Good...Goodnight."
Percy: 5
Embarrassment: 5
A tie is like a half win, right?

🦇DECORATE HOME TOGETHER: Dilf! Anakin x you (day 28 of 31)
synopsis: you and your boyfriend Anakin decorate his house to welcome his children for halloween.
warning: age gap.
a/n:  Hello there, dilf! Anakin is so fun to write, he's so cute and yet so cute, god bless hayden genetics, anyway, I hope you like it ;)
Tumblr media
“Honey, I think we need to go shopping,” you said with a soft laugh, eyeing the pile of dusty Halloween decorations that Anakin had dug out from storage.
“Some of it’s still usable,” Anakin insisted, pulling out a faded plastic skeleton. “Look, brand new—” The skeleton’s arms dropped off as he spoke, leaving him holding just the skull in his hand. He looked down, shaking his head, and sighed. “Alright, let’s go shopping.”
You stifled a grin as he ran a hand through his hair, clearly trying to keep cool. He glanced at you, taking in your eager expression, and you could see that behind his more serious exterior, he was as excited as you to make this Halloween memorable.
This year, Leia and Luke were finally old enough to have a Halloween party at his house instead of their mom’s. It had been Padmé who usually threw the big, elaborate holiday parties, and Anakin was determined to give his kids a celebration they’d remember. There was something in his eyes—a quiet determination, softened by a glimmer of hope—that made your heart ache a little for him.
At the store, Anakin dragged the cart while you darted up and down the aisles, wide-eyed at every new decoration. Halloween hadn’t been a big tradition in your family, so the sight of fake cobwebs, plastic gravestones, and hanging ghosts filled you with the thrill of a first-time decorator. Anakin watched you with an amused smile, letting you choose what you liked, chuckling to himself as you piled the cart with Styrofoam tombstones, glittery bats, and witch hats.
“Look at these!” you said, holding up two tombstones painted in a faded gray with mock engraving and crumbling edges. “They’d be perfect near the rose bushes.”
Anakin turned his attention from the pumpkin lights he’d been examining and gave you a wry smile, his gaze warm. “Our house would look good with those out front.”
The casual way he said it made your heart skip, but when you looked up at him, you felt self-conscious. “Oh, uh, your house, I mean…” You bit your lip, unsure of how to bridge that small, unspoken gap between you.
But Anakin just smiled wider, the faint crinkles at the corners of his eyes deepening in a way that always reminded you he’d lived more, loved more, than you had. “Our house,” he said softly, his hand brushing your cheek. His touch was warm, and the way he looked at you held a quiet strength that made you feel cherished, safe.
As you roamed the aisles, Anakin let you choose nearly every decoration, indulging you with a patient smile and following you like a gentle anchor. You filled the cart with cobwebs, a hanging ghost, glittery bats, witch hats, and bundles of candy. Anakin observed with an amused glint, and you found yourself grateful for how he seemed content to let you revel in each small discovery, like the bat garlands that you insisted were a “must-have.”
He watched, enchanted by how much you wanted to make this event special for his children. He paused to pick out a large bag of chocolates, and when you didn’t answer right away, he glanced up to see you inspecting an interactive skeleton that didn’t seem to work. The second you turned away, though, it sprang to life, lunging at you with a loud cackle. Startled, you stumbled backward, landing with a thud.
“Are you alright?” Anakin was at your side in seconds, abandoning the cart and crouching down, his large hands gently but thoroughly checking you for any bumps or bruises. His concern was endearing, his blue eyes filled with worry as they scanned your face.
“I, uh… may have misjudged the skeleton,” you admitted sheepishly. Anakin’s expression softened as he chuckled, but his hand lingered on your arm, steadying you as he helped you to your feet. Without missing a beat, he placed a quick, affectionate kiss on your forehead and pulled you close.
“Maybe we skip the spooky tech,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, warm against your skin. Anakin wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pressing a lingering kiss to your lips before pushing the cart with his other hand. You leaned into his embrace, comforted by the easy warmth of his affection and his unhurried gestures—traits that hinted at the stability and patience he’d cultivated as a father, traits that balanced your own youthful energy.
When you returned to his house, you dove into setting up the decorations, arranging pumpkins, cobwebs, and hanging skeletons around the living room, while Anakin meticulously hung lights and draped black and orange curtains over the windows.
After he buried the tombstones in the front yard, you insisted he make a coffin out of cardboard, and he laughingly agreed. Measuring your height, he traced an outline of your body on the cardboard, pausing only to mockingly question if you were quite sure it would be scary enough. With a mischievous grin, you challenged him to make it “the most frightening DIY coffin ever.”
Hours passed in a blur of laughter and teamwork. By dusk, the house was transformed, glowing under a mix of eerie orange lights and ghostly white webs. You stood back with a sigh, settling onto Anakin’s lap with your legs spread across his thighs, your head resting on his shoulder.
“Look at this,” you murmured, beaming at the transformation. “It’s like a haunted house.”
Anakin wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer. “You did great, babe. The kids are going to love this.”
“I have a surprise for you,” Slipping off his lap, you ran to grab something hidden behind your bag. When you returned, his eyes widened, curiosity sparkling in his gaze.
Anakin’s eyes, always vivid with a striking, quiet intensity, softened. “Oh yeah? Do I get a hint?”
With a small smile, you pulled out a carefully painted white cloth napkin with two handprints, one purple, the other orange. “The kids helped me with it the other night. I know you were sad about losing the original one from their preschool days when you moved…”
He took the napkin, staring at it for a long moment, his thumb brushing over the paint. The purple handprint for Leia, and Luke’s orange one, each decorated to perfection. His blue eyes shone as he looked up at you, a quiet but deep emotion etched into his expression.
For a moment, he stared, his eyes brightening with the faint sheen of tears. “Thank you,” he whispered, reaching for you and pulling you into a tight hug, so fierce it swept you off your feet. He held you, almost as if anchoring himself, his voice warm and steady against your ear. “You know… I love you,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, each word filled with feeling. “I feel so lucky to have you, to have you here with them.”
Your heart fluttered, and you nuzzled closer, taking in the familiar scent of him, that subtle spice and warmth that always made you feel safe. His hand was gentle as he placed you back on the floor, but he kept you close, his other hand cupping your face, thumb tracing along your cheek.
“Move in with me?” he asked softly, the question simple yet heavy with meaning. “You’re here almost every night anyway, and Leia and Luke love you being around. Let’s make this official.”
You smiled, eyes brimming with emotion as you leaned into him, your heart full. “Yes, yes, yes,” you murmured between kisses, savoring each one, his touch grounding you as you sank into the warmth of his embrace. The kisses were unhurried, tender, and the warmth of his lips against yours sent shivers down your spine, each kiss a soft promise that settled deep inside your heart. His hand lingered at your waist, thumb gently brushing the curve of your side, and for the first time, it felt like you were truly home.

i saw that you put finnrey as your “most potential” ship and i was just wondering what makes you see them as more romantic over a platonic relationship? especially considering the finnpoe presence lol
and to be clear, definitely not judging you or saying everyone has to prefer finnpoe, i just haven’t seen very many people talk about finnrey as a romantic pair, or at least i haven’t interacted with it, so i’m curious for your take :)
I'm going to start this with a disclaimer: I do not dislike Finnpoe at all, I actually quite enjoy Finnpoe as a ship, I think that Finn and Poe's dynamic in the movies is (mostly) enjoyable, and I do think there is an obvious foundation for the interpretation of them as romantic based on what we see in the films.
Finnrey are pretty obviously set up as a future romantic couple in TFA, to the point that the person who wrote the novelization has said that that is how he wrote them because it seemed REALLY REALLY OBVIOUS that that's where they were going with that relationship with what he had seen of it and he was pretty surprised when future films didn't follow up on that. There is arguably more explicit set-up for Finnrey in the first film of their trilogy than there was for Han/Leia (and also Luke/Leia since their sibling relationship wasn't established yet when ANH came out) and even for Anidala in their respective first films together.
It's Rey that Finn goes back for, fulfilling a place in her life that she's been waiting on for literal years, becoming the first person Rey feels like she can trust. Finn gets jealous when he thinks that Rey is going back to a boyfriend on Jakku. There's an entire running gag that is about the two of them holding hands, something usually pretty connected to romantic couples. Finn only joins the Rebellion because he cares enough about Rey to want to go back to save her (and he also answers his call of destiny by doing so, as visualized by him being given and then using Anakin's lightsaber as part of that decision). Rey answers her own call to destiny when she calls Anakin's lightsaber to her, something she only does in order to save Finn after Kylo has injured him. The two of them impact each other's storylines in a way that NO ONE ELSE DOES.
I also personally feel like Finn and Rey were originally built as CO-LEADS in TFA, neither one was supposed to be "the main character" over the other. They were BOTH intended to be Force sensitive, BOTH intended to become Jedi, BOTH intended to be the awakening in the Force. Their connection was the whole heart of the story in TFA. Allowing them to be love interests for each other just helps cement that. Finnrey being allowed to remain love interests throughout the Sequel trilogy could've helped keep Finn from being sidelined, it could've helped keep REY from being sidelined, it could've allowed Kylo Ren to remain a villain, it could've helped keep some of the more interesting themes of TFA from being completely and utterly dropped.
By comparison, Poe was supposed to die in TFA. He and Finn share maybe 2-3 scenes total with each other, which are split up between the very beginning and the end of the second act of the film, leaving a LOT of time in-between where neither we as the audience nor Finn in universe even SEE Poe (and he mostly disappears when the third act on Starkiller Base starts up, too). Giving Finn a love interest that isn't Rey also opens the door for him to be sidelined in favor of Rey. This is something we can actually see done intentionally in TLJ with Finn and Rose. It pulls focus from what was set up as the focal point and heart of the narrative in TFA (Finn and Rey's relationship) and provides an excuse for why Finn isn't taking part in the bigger storylines with Rey.
And last but not least, I don't personally believe that there was ever a snowball's chance in hell that Finn and Poe were ever going to become an canon couple in a Disney Star Wars movie (it wouldn't have happened in a Lucas-run Sequel Trilogy either, but that's not really the point here). Finnrey could've. You can even argue that it SHOULD'VE happened and that it WOULD'VE happened (if Rian Johnson hadn't come in and decided to ignore everything that was set up in TFA). And Finnrey theoretically still HAS a shot at being made canon. It seems a LOT more likely that if they continue to explore the characters in the future that we'll see Finn and Rey get together romantically than that we would see Finn and Poe get together romantically.
So while I like Finn and Poe, I don't feel like there was real potential that actually got squandered in the films when they didn't happen, whereas there was ACRES of potential for Finn and Rey that got completely thrown away, and doing so really hurt both of their characters and the trilogy as a whole.

i know you’ve written a lot of drunk reader stuff butttt i love it sm especially the way u capture readers interactions w aemond. Could you write a fic about aemond being the drunk one?? maybe he’s let aegon have to much influence lately? thanks ! 🥰
Tumblr media
We shall do a little switcheroo from tradition haha Aemond has gotten a little tipsy (as I headcanon he would not desire to become fully hammered) while reveling with his brother and wife in the dining hall.
So I haven't written Aemond as being tipsy/drunk before...and he kinda took the reins on this one. Enjoy! It gets a little sad but...he wouldn't be a silly drunk that's for sure.
Aemond x wife!reader | tipsy Aemond | fluff
Tumblr media
"Another toast!" Aegon raised his goblet high, almost letting it slip through his fumbling fingers. "To our Strong nephews!"
"Aegon." You groaned, massaging your temples. "That's the seventh one."
"To Jace, Luke and Joffrey!" Aemond rose from his seat once more, supporting himself with a palm against the table's surface as he toasted the empty dining room. "The wisest and strongest of our family!"
"Aemond."
Your husband didn't heed your chiding tone as he drained his seventh goblet of wine while Aegon cheered him on. You shot the eldest brother a reproving glare, his face falling comically when he met your narrowed eyes. "Don't blame me!" Aegon shrugged. "My brother needs little encouragement when it comes to making godsawful puns."
Aemond sank gracelessly back into his armchair, tapping his long fingers against his iron goblet. You stood, moving to his side and coaxing the cup from his grip. "Come, my drunken dragon." You teased lightly. "It is time for sleep."
"If 'sleep' is what you call it." Aegon chuckled into his goblet, almost choking on his own drink.
"Gods, Aegon. First you get my husband drunk, then you make terrible jokes."
"He's not drunk." Aegon tittered, looking across at Aemond's flushed face. "I'm sure he'd still perform...to your satisfaction."
"Isn't there a kitchen maid you want to go harass?" You sneered at the prince, your hands coming to rest defiantly on your hips.
"Y/N..." Aemond warned softly, unheeded by both you and Aegon.
"I don't harass them." Aegon rolled his eyes, leaning back so hard in his chair it almost tipped over. "I am an excellent lover."
You actually laughed, throwing your head back with the force of it. "You?" Tears of mirth began to form in your eyes. You even heard a low chuckle from Aemond. "I would bet good money that you haven't made a woman orgasm once."
Aegon stood abruptly as well, his face reddening with anger. You hadn't notice Aemond until he smoothly stepped in between you and his brother, his back to you. Even though your husband was clearly tipsy, his stance was still protective.
Aegon looked at you over Aemond's shoulder, then back into the face of his younger brother. Aemond didn't utter a word, just stood in front of you until Aegon sunk sulkily back into his seat, refilling his goblet of wine.
You walked beside Aemond, wrapping your arm around his waist, his own hand coming to grip at your arm for support. You let him out of the room and into the labyrinthine corridors of the Red Keep, making slow progress back to your chambers.
"You shouldn't antagonize him." Aemond said slowly, his words slightly slurred.
"He should leave the women in this castle alone." You snapped, a little sharply.
"I worry for your safety above all else." Aemond continued as though he hadn't heard you. "My brother can be vindictive."
"I don't fear Aegon."
Your husband was silent a moment. "I know."
You reached your rooms, sighing in relief at the warmth coming from a brand-new fire within your stone hearth. You helped Aemond sit upon the sofa, kneeling before him to unlace his boots. He swayed a little where he sat, bracing himself with his hands as his violet eye roved your features. "You are fierce." He murmured after a minute's silence.
You grinned at him, tugging his boots free and setting them upon the ground. "Am I?"
"Mm." Aemond leaned forward, his silver hair falling over his shoulders to tickle your chest. "And beautiful."
He brought his lips down to meet yours briefly. "And clever."
He kissed you again, tasting of buttered rum. "You are everything I want."
You smiled, kissing the tip of his nose as you reached around to unbuckle the leather eyepatch, setting it to rest on the cushions beside him. Aemond's sapphire eye caught the flickering firelight and glittered brilliantly. You undid his hair, carding your fingers through the silken strands as it fell loose about his angular face.
Aemond leaned into your touch, his lilac eye fluttering closed as you continued to massage his scalp. "You are divine, Y/N." His own fingers began muddling with the laces at your corset. "Marry me."
"We've been married for two years, Aemond." You giggled, his hands making slow work freeing you from the confines of your dress.
"Marry me again."
You laughed brightly, your voice mingling with his own low chuckle as Aemond caught your lips again with his, molding his mouth to yours with heated intent.
"Tomorrow." You batted his hands gently away from your back and expertly unlaced yourself out of your dress. "I promise I will marry you again after you sleep off all the toasts you made this evening."
"They were good, weren't they?" Aemond mused, leaning back upon the sofa looking satisfied as his gaze roamed the curves of your body appreciatively.
"I'd call it a strong start." You eyed him for a reaction, your smile broadening as he laughed at your bad joke.
"Very good! They make it too easy."
You laughed together, lapsing into an easy silence, letting out quiet giggles every now and then as you thought about more strong puns.
"Y/N?"
"Yes?"
"You love me, do you not?"
Aemond's voice was small. You looked at him in surprise, thrown by the change in his demeanor. He was looking at you with an earnest, almost vulnerable expression, his hands tightening where they rested atop his thighs.
"Of course I love you!" You tried to lighten the mood back up, touching knee lightly. "I wouldn't have married you otherwise."
"You will always love me?"
"Aemond." You moved from your place on the floor, rising to sit flush beside him, almost in resting in his lap. You gazed intently into his upturned face, brushing your nose to his. "I will never stop loving you. Even when we are gone and only dust remains, I will still love you."
He was silent, his bleary eye fixed on a point over your shoulder.
You took his face in your hands, kissing the corner of his mouth. Aemond responded, grasping your waist with his large hands. "You are the best thing that's happened to me, Aemond."
"Does that mean you won't cancel our wedding tomorrow?" Aemond smiled weakly, rubbing circles into your flesh through your thin undergarment.
"I wouldn't dream of it." You pressed your forehead to his before pulling him to rest against your chest, your head atop his own. "I would wed you a thousand times, in a thousand lifetimes."
"Y/N..." His voice was a whisper. "You are my soul's desire."
Your arms tightened around him in response as you fought back a welling of emotion behind your eyes. You kissed his crown, rocking your entwined bodies soothingly, already feeling his breathing against you deepening.
It did not take Aemond long to fall into slumber, inebriated as he was from all the wine he'd had. After many minutes of you holding his sleeping form, your hands smoothing through his hair as you breathed in the scent of him.
Slowly, carefully, you extricated yourself from your husband, laying him gently down upon the cushions of the sofa. You retrieved a blanket from the bed, laying it over him and tucking him in. You took your time, your heart about to burst with the overwhelming love you felt for the man before you. You lingered at his side, admiring his sleeping profile in the firelight.
You brushed away a stray strand of shimmering hair from his face, loathe to turn your gaze away. Eventually your own exhaustion caused your eyes to grow heavy and you sunk to the floor beside the sofa, propping your head on your forearms, still drinking in Aemond's sharp features. As the fire slowly died leaving behind burning orange embers, you slipped away into dreams, your head resting atop your arms, kneeling beside your sleeping husband.

concept: in an alternate universe where the three princes arrive in rhodolite after emma leaves, five years after chevalier's coronation, silvio ricci—"mr. secretly a caring brother"—decides to take a stroll around the capital to clear his mind.
he's been trying to find valerio for ages, and he'd briefly thought that maybe his brother is still in rhodolite, but for whatever reason, he can't seem to get any leads. after making the questionable decision to drink, he ends up wandering into the bustling markets of the city.
a pair of brothers catches his gaze. the older one is buying the younger one a treat—and really, they can't be too old. silvio has had little interaction with kids, but he'd guess them to be around the early teens. and it makes him think of how he was never able to do anything like that for valerio.
naturally, in the middle of cursing his brother out, he happens to hear a vaguely familiar voice professing his love for some woman named emma. he has to rub his eyes to make sure he's seeing things right and—
yup, blonde hair, blue eyes. an earring. the face of a man he loathes, though not as much as his mother.
and in front of his kneeling self—
a clearly pregnant woman who looks on, with amusement glittering in her brown eyes as she gracefully accepts the offered rose. silvio thinks he might be going insane.
"emma" then proceeds to pull him up and the lady selling flowers giggles about how wonderful it is that they're so in love. the guy from the stall next door hollers about how, since it's rio, it's to be expected.
they leave and silvio does not follow them.
what silvio does do is go back to his room in the castle and punch the wall, unable to figure out how he should feel about the fact that valerio is married with a kid on the way. one thing's for sure though:
emidio must not know.
so, silvio packs up and leaves for benitoite, and in about two years, even those in rhodolite whisper about how the second prince attempted to commit treason—and admitted, in a fit of rage, that he was the one who sent valerio to die.
(for this, the king begrudgingly thanks silvio and offers to make him king. but silvio pretends he hasn't already found valerio and vows to find him.)
then, silvio returns to rhodolite.
and finds out that the child valerio's wife was carrying was their second child, after a brat who happens to be the splitting image of valerio overhears asking about "rio" and "emma".
this kid is nothing less than a blabbermouth. within thirty minutes, silvio's aware of his history and "rio"'s too. he knows that valerio's second born is a girl, that he's disappointed that neither of his two children look like his wife, and that they'll probably not stop at two kids. he knows that the kid's name is elliott, that he's named to match the first letter of his mom's name—it's the same for his sister, who is named rhys, after his dad.
and yet, despite the fact that being armed with this seemingly useless knowledge comorts him, he's too much of a coward to try and approach valerio. after all, emidio's dead. valerio seems happier than he ever was in the benitoite's court. isn't it selfish to drag valerio back solely for silvio's pride?
(a part of him is also jealous of elliot's long list of uncles, who he suspects to be rhodolite's princes—most frequent are nokto, yves, leon, clavis, and luke. sometimes, jin and licht. chevalier, surprisingly, does ask after him and rhys, but never visits. sariel keeps tabs on them, just in case)
so he runs before his sister-in-law arrives to take elliot home.
and rinse and repeat. days bleed into weeks and he's not keen about letting them bleed into months, even if he views elliott as a "second chance."
but he doesn't have to.
valerio comes to him.
apparently, he's seen silvio hanging around his son. his wife is delighted that elliott's made a friend, even if he is older than she'd hoped for, and also a bit concerned about silvio's identity, so she wanted to invite him to dinner.
unfortunately, elliott told rio about how silvio once told him to cherish and protect his sister. he said that he couldn't protect his brother from getting hurt, and that he hopes valerio is happy.
the names are what tipped rio off.
there was other identifying information too, but rio already had his memories. the names were all he needed.
you see, he'd started having an inkling of his identity when emma was belle. he'd been pouring over some texts about benitoite and he thought some of it felt strangely familiar. but he kept those thoughts hidden because he was afraid of letting emma know. it was when emidio was arrested that his memoried fully started coming back.
[we now take a brief intermission to talk about how rio married the love of his life:
emma, whilst fretting over her uncontrollable feelings, is looking at the "engagement ring". rio comes in, and for a moment, they simply stare at each other.
then rio correctly guesses that this is something he had on him before. emma confides in him that she thinks it's an engagement ring, which causes rio to realize why she would push him away.
he tells her that he has no interest in returning home. he wanted to die, after all. it's likely nothing was waiting for him. and, if it is an engagement ring, he probably bought it because he knew he'd be meeting the love of his life soon (this makes her hit him on the shoulder). rio thinks he likely wasn't engaged at all.
this causes emma to decide that she wants to be selfish, even if it means living with that kind of guilt.
the rest is history.]
rio: "i really don't want you to meet emma...what if you fall in love with her? she's so pretty, i can see it happening."
silvio: "huh? why would—"
rio: "...but i need someone to testify that i wasn't engaged before i lost my memories. i didn't have a lover either. my wife's been holding onto this misconception, so i want to clear it up immediately."
silvio takes it for the olive branch it is. everyone and their grandmothers know that he's been searching for valerio. it's really no surprise that rio would realize his intentions.
the next night, he joins rio and his family for dinner. silvio brings flowers for emma and gifts for each of the munchkins, and for rio, he shoves a bottle of wine at him. his reddened ears don't have the luxury of returning to normal because elliott starts pointing out how his ears are super red. they have an enjoyable dinner, after which emma reintroduces herself as his sister-in-law and they confirm that they'll hold off on telling elliott, like silvio wants them to.
silvio is a coward though, so he tells elliott on literally the last day of his stay in rhodolite. elliott makes him promise to come back soon, and rio and emma, who are there to pick elliott up, reveal that they might go visit silvio instead.
[this is because someone manages to spill silvio's secret to the king. which means rio would need to establish himself to better protect his family.]

ONE CHANCE
fic
reader x mark estapa
summary: for weeks, mark has been trying to get y/n to go out with him but he always got a ‘no’. that all changes one night when she admits she’s developed feelings for him after a game.
a/n: literally i got like four drafts rn so have patience with your girl here
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you had been sitting in the same spot for 43 minutes and 32 seconds but who’s counting? obviously, you were. as much as you enjoyed your intro to business course, you were tired and were just yearning to go to your apartment. the idea of lying in bed and doing nothing but binge-watch “New Girl” and cuddling up into your blanket was sounding very, very tempting to you. god wasn’t on your side today.
you finished up taking the final bit of notes you needed before you closed your notebook with a sigh of relief. there was approximately 12 minutes left of class and then you’d be free. to kill time you had begun to scroll through instagram.
at the beginning of the year, your professor had gone over the rules and expectations. one of them included how if you were to finish early, for the reminder of class you could just hang out till you were dismissed as long as you wouldn’t distract your peers.
eventually you got tired of instagram which is when you switched to doodling on the back of your notebook. it was quite relaxing actually. to be able to do whatever you pleased. in between classes, you has always loved going into the courtyard and sitting under a tree, whether it be listening to music or drawing, you had found that time to be peaceful. just like now.
in the midst of sketching a rose, you felt someone tap your shoulder. you turned your head and were met with four grinning faces: johnny druskinis, luca fantilli, luke hughes, and mark estapa. they were known around campus for playing for umich’s mens ice hockey team. to many, they were considered to be royalty, but to you? they were just a bunch of childish men who thought way too much of themselves. so what could they want with you?
“can i help you?” you asked, clearly annoyed with the situation already. the boys all looked at each other before they all spoke in unison, “yes.”
“okay…what is it that you need?”
mark was the first to speak, “for you to go out with me.”
silence.
you couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. why the hell would some guy you barely talked to ever would want to go out with you? it made no sense. the most you’ve ever spoken to him was during your first semester and it was only to ask if you could borrow a pencil. even then, he wasn’t this weird.
“you’re kidding, right?” you really hoped they were. you hoped that this was all some sick joke.
he just shook his head, “no, i’m not.”
you squinted you eyes at him before slowly turning around and getting back to you drawing.
the fours boys looked at each other once again before one of them asked, “sooo is that a yes?” it was luke.
you turned your upper body toward them. “why are you asking me to go on a date with you if we’ve barely ever talked?” it's a valid question. no one goes up to a girl they’ve never had an interaction with before and just blatantly asks them out. unless you’re a cocky son of a bitch but other than that it has never happened.
“well first of all, i think you’re a nice person and second of all, you’re cute. ” mark stated.
you just stared at him for a good minute before turning around again. you tried to convince yourself that, that last comment he made hadn’t made you blush, but you could feel your cheeks get hot. “no.”
mark’s eyebrows furrowed before he turned to his teammates, “what do i do now? she said no.” you were still able to hear them but blocked them out as you continued to sketch the petals of the rose.
“man i don’t know! i’ve never had a girl reject me before, what do you want me to tell you?!” luca whispered-shouted and mark just rolled his eyes before turning back to you.
he had leaned forward and was right at your ear. “oh cmon, i’m not that bad of a person.”
you put your pencil down and just stared ahead before answering. “my answer’s still no,” you turned your head and that’s when you realized how close you were. you couldn’t help but feel the heat creep up to your cheeks.
mark had noticed as he had a small smile plastered on his face. “please?” he begged like a little kid when they wanted something.
“you just won’t give up will you?” you knew he would keep pestering you about it until you’d yes but that’s not like you. you weren’t going to go out with some random guy you just met and expect it to go good. you wanna go out with someone who you know and have had moments with. and mark hadn’t checked either of those boxes.
“nope.”
you just smiled before turning around. your professor had dismissed the class and you quickly picked up before walking out of there and heading to you apartment, wanting to forget about what had just happened.
he was cute but that’s all you had to say about him.
━━━━━━━━━━
it was finals week and you had a huge exam coming up. every chance you got, you’d be going over your notes, reading your textbook, highlighting and writing more notes down. it was a pain in the ass. which is why currently, you were sitting at a table booth in the far corner at some cafe near campus.
you had your headphones on, listening to your playlist you had created for occasions like this. you were singing the lyrics to yourself, not wanting to make so much noise as you were in public and it’d be embarrassing if someone had heard you sing. you were in the middle of highlighting a paragraph when you felt the cushion dip, signaling someone had sat next to you.
you grab your headphones and wrapped them around your neck as you turned to face the perosn who had decided to sit next to you.
it was mark.
you had no idea why you were even surprised. for the past month, he had been trying to get you to go on a date with him. always sitting near you in class, passing you notes as if you were in high school again and sometimes, he would even leave a flower bouquet on your doorstep with a little note. it always said something along the lines of, ‘beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl -mark’ and if you were to be honest, it made you feel something inside.
you tilted your head a bit as you looked at him in confusion. “what are you doing estapa?” you already knew the answer to your question. normally, you’d want the conversation between the two of you to end the second he’d start talking to you but today you felt like talking to him like you would with anyone else.
“sitting down to talk to you,” he answered before scooting closer and leaning forward to look at why you had been doing. he just raised an eyebrow before he leaned back to look at you. “finals?”
“yeah, it’s been a pain in my ass recently and if i don’t pass this upcoming test, my life is practically over” you remarked as you gestured to your stuff laid out over the table. “it’s just been a stressful week and i’ve barely has time to do anything but study.”
mark only smiled. “i know something that can relieve the stress.” mark noticed how you perked up at the statement.
“oh, please! literally anything would help all my worries go away.”
“tomorrow night, go out with me.” mark inquired. you should’ve seen it coming. at this point all conversations with mark had ended in him asking you out and you giving him the answer, ‘no’.
you sighed as you put your head in your hands. “mark,” you stopped yourself before you could go any further.
mark had turned his body towards you, “oh cmon y/n. just one chance, i’ll make it worth your while.”
“i can’t. i have to study and you should be doing the same.” you said as you picked up your highlighter again and began to resume your reading.
mark rolled his eyes at the mention of studying. “all you do is study. you know you’re allowed to go out at times, right?”
you ignored his comments and spoke up, “my answer’s no.”
“i won’t stop until you say yes.”
“then i guess you’ll be trying for a while.” you shot him a fake smile before returning to your reading.
he only shrugged, “that’s fine by me,” and with that he slid out of the booth and headed out.
what is it with this boy and insisting on taking you out? surely it was all a joke, a bet even, between his friends if he could get you to agree to go on a date with him or not. it had to be a joke.
━━━━━━━━━━
it was friday night meaning you had finished all your exams and were happily laying in bed, wanting to relax. you had ‘New Girl’ on and you were enjoying every second of it until your roommate aka your best friend, natalie, had barged into your room. you were pretty sure the door knob had left a hole in the wall.
“get up hoe, we have places to be.” she exclaimed as she began to raid your closet.
you sat up as you stared at her like she were a mad man. “what do you mean, ‘we have places to be’” you began thinking, trying to remember if you had something important to attend to. “did i forget about us having plans or something because i don’t-”
“no, we didn’t have plans but now we do. so get your ass out of bed and start getting ready.” she ushered you into the bathroom and she handed you a pair of light washed jeans, a white tank top and a maize zip up with a michigan beanie. now you were really confused.
natalie had taken out your makeup bag and began to take out your mascara, lip gloss, blush and many other things you didn’t even know you had. you grabbed her hands making her turn towards you. “where are we going?”
“to a hockey game.”
she can’t be serious.
“you can’t be serious.” she only smiled and shrugged before going out of your bathroom and into the living room.
“i’ll be waiting for you and you only have thirty minutes!” she shouted as she made her way to the couch. this bitch is crazy.
you had put on the outfit and began to do your makeup. you hair was already done from when you did it in the morning before your 8:00 am lecture. somehow it had stayed in tact, only a few baby hairs were sticking out but nothing you couldn’t fix with hair gel.
you finished up your makeup and started to put everything in the bag but you left it be as natalie had shouted you only have two minutes. it’d be cleaned up eventually.
you walked out of the bathroom and headed toward the living room where natalie was waiting for you. “can we go now?” natalie looked up form her phone and a grin spread across her face. she nodded her head and you both headed out the door.
on the walk to yost, you both had met up with some of the player’s girlfriends. you and natalie were friends with them and you all hanged out even if you have never been the biggest fan of the men’s hockey team.
a couple minutes later, you had all arrived to the arena and went inside before showing your tickets and heading towards the rink. you followed behind as you watched the boys warm up. you had thought you were to get seats up high where you could barely see the puck, but to your luck, you had front row seats to the game.
you all had began to talk when molly, adam fantilli’s girlfriend, spoke, “so y/n how’s your relationship going with mark?” all the girls turned towards you, some confused while others just had a smirk on their face. what relationship? you guys were just friends. well if you could call it that.
“our relationship?” you questioned. you weren’t even in one. although sometimes you wish you were. over the course of mark’s attempts to ask you out, you couldn’t help but develop some feeling for him. with the flower bouquets on your doorstep, the small conversations you’ve had with him, to him trying to sit near you in class, always staring at you, it made you feel things you’ve never felt before.
molly furrowed her eyebrows, “you’re not together?” you could only skate you head no, “that’s weird. adam keeps telling me about how mark wont shut up about you and how he can’t wait for you to go on a date with him soon.”
“i never agreed to go on a date with him.” you replied to her statement. had he been making up lies? “if anything, i keep telling him no whenever he asks me.”
“why?!”
“you should say yes!”
“he’s in love with you, you know.”
“you guys would be cute together.”
you just looked at all of them and playfully rolled your eyes. “i don’t know.”
“he’s always sending her flowers almost every day. we’re running out of vases to put them in.” natalie explained and they all started squealing, asking you about the whole situation.
you were too busy explaining the whole story from when mark first asked you in class till now that you hadn’t noticed a certain player staring at you from the ice.
mark couldn’t help but smile at the thought of you being here at his game. he was too busy staring that he hadn’t noticed that ethan and mackie had skated over to him when they noticed their friend had been in the same spot for a while. the pair followed his gaze and both smirked at each other when they realized who mark had been looking at the whole time.
ethan put a hand on his shoulder, “dude, you are whipped.” that seemed to snap mark out of his trance.
“what?” mark‘s face had turned a deep shade at red as he had been caught staring at you.
“are two dating or what?”
mark looked at mackie, “where’d you get that from?” he asked.
“for the last month, she’s all you ever talk about. kinda just assumed she was your girl.” mackie shrugged as he skated side to side.
“no way is that ever happening. i’ve asked her out more times than i can count and the answers always been no,” mark said as he moved to stand in front of the two, “i’ve given up hope at this point.”
“might as well try one more time.” ethan suggested as he looked over mark’s shoulder. “i mean she’s looking at you right now,” he pointed over to where you and all the girls were seated. mark turned around and you quickly looked back as you had been caught. “they’re giggling. and are back to looking at you.”
mark could only give him a look. “so what? that’s what they do.”
ethan and mackie looked at each other before they bursted out laughing. “what’s so funny now?”
“god you really are stupid.” ethan told mark who playfully pushed ethan. “she’s in love with you too.”
mark scoffed. “and how would you know?”
“because i heard her talking about you to her friends. she said how at first she was a little annoyed with you because she’d be in class and you would sit either in front or behind her just to ask her out. and then you started to send her flowers with a little note attached and you’d pass her notes in class telling her she looked pretty and how you loved her personality and shit and wow you’re in deep man.” ethan explained and mark got annoyed before gesturing for him to continue, “she couldn’t help but feel something inside. she started to develop feelings for you and now that she looks back at it, she wished she would have said yes to when you asked her if she’d go out with you-”
ethan couldn’t finish what he was saying as frank had called them over. mackie and ethan skated over to the bench, mark not too far behind.
throughout the whole game, mark kept thinking about you and what ethan had said. did you love him? had you said no all those times to avoid your feelings for him? many thoughts ran through his head. he had to ask you. just one more time and hopefully this time you’d admit your feelings to him instead of avoiding them.
━━━━━━━━━━
the boys had won and you were all waiting outside the locker room for the boys to come out. the group was talking about going out next weekend but you zoned out. the whole night you couldn’t help but think, ‘maybe telling mark no was a bad idea’ and you knew it was. when he came out of the locker room, you would tell him how you felt, no hesitation.
about ten minutes later, you could hear the boys all shouting and clapping. you all winced at the noise but soon it stopped and the boys had started to file out of the room, some saying hi while others just smirked as they passed by you. the boys went over to their girlfriends while you stood to the side, letting them have their moment when all of a sudden you heard you name being called.
you turned around and were meet with mark and the sophomores behind him. you were confused, majorly confused. “hi?”
“i’m only going to ask once. y/n will you please go on a date with me?” mark pleaded.
that was unexpected.
you stood there, frozen. you didn’t know what to say. well you did but with everyone around you just froze. mark waved a hand in front of you face. “y/n?”
“huh, what?”
he couldn’t help but smile, “will you go on a date with me?” you did the fist thing that came to mind, you went up to him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. you leaned back and could see the blush on his face. “is that a yes or?”
“it’s a yes.”
everyone that was still there cheered and mark couldn’t help but wrap his arms around you as everyone had practically pounced on you both, celebrating mark’s success of you saying yes to a date.
“you know i like you right?” you broke the hug as you stared up at him. you nodded in response.
“i do mark. and it’s ok because i happen to like you as well.”
“i know.”
what did he mean he knew?
“what do you mean, ‘i know’?” you wondered as you pulled back.
“ethan told me earlier.” that little bitch.
you hid your head in his chest. “i’m gonna kill him.” you felt mark laugh.
“don’t be embarrassed. it’s okay. i mean i’ve loved you since i saw first saw you in class but was too much of a pussy to even talk to you so i just kept my distance. which is probably why you’ve always said no to all those times i asked.” mark said as you two began to walk out of yost behind everyone else.
“woah buddy, how about we keep the ‘i love you’s’ away until after that date.” you both chuckled. “i love you too. i have ever since you started sending over those flowers. and those notes you’d give me in class always made my day better. especially when i was having a shitty day which happened to be very often.” you both walked behind everyone. “i didn’t realize until a month later and now i wished i would’ve said yes sooner. it would’ve saved me all this trouble of denying my feelings for you when clearly i had loved you ever since you started to do all these things just to get me to say yes, which by way worked.” you smiled and he did too.
“i can tell. otherwise i wouldn’t do this.” he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. your hands found his cheeks and his found your waist. you didn’t waste a second to respond. the kiss was slow but passionate. it was all you ever wanted. you pulled away and looked up at him. “i love you.”
“i love you too.” you leaned up and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips before you heard mackie call out, “hey lovebirds, let’s go! we’re going to the bar to celebrate this win!”
you and mark laughed as he stared down at you. “this doesn’t count as our first official date, right?” he asked as you two caught up with everyone.
you shook your head, “no, not unless you want it to be.”
“good.”

Thinking about… Julie just casually wearing her Sunset Curve bedazzled shirt and the boys just seeing it like “…huh?¿? Hey… where’d you get that…”
Julie saying that she found it in her mom’s stuff but didn’t think too much about it since her mom probably got it second hand from somewhere and then bedazzled it. “She probably got it from eBay and then customized it. It’s just kind of funny that it’s your guy’s.”
And they’re all looking at each other bc they know that the white with the black lettering shirts were the ones that they handed out whereas maybe the black with white lettering were more “mass produced” so the three know “we handed out that shirt to someone 👁️👁️”
There’s a moment where Julie has to throughly explain to the three that eBay is not a location but just a website. And that is it just one site and there’s no ‘a Bay’ or like a ‘b Bay’ or ‘c Bay’ (it took an embarrassing amount of time to explain the concept to the three)
They explain that yeah it could be possible that it’s second hand but is also possible that the boys personally gave the shirt to her mom so now they’re trying rack their brain and think. They are just thinking out loud like Luke saying,
“The night we died there was that girl who was cleaning tables that Reggie gave a shirt to. And then those girls in line….”
Julie shrugs and says that her mom was in a couple bands so probably acquired it during one of those incidents.
As Alex thinks about it he asks,
“…didn’t that girl who was cleaning tables say she was in a couple bands?”
Julie has never seen them think so much about one thing and focus this much on something and it’s just a little weird since the chances of them actually interacting with her mom is real low. Nonetheless she shrugs as she says, “My mom’s name is Rose if that helps you guys any.”
And the three just instantly realize at the same time. Luke and Alex just look at Reggie,
“YOU HIT ON JULIE’S MOM!”

So how much of this do you think is real?
Because it ain't time travel so MC & Number 2 weren't really there when this really happened, which means in reality Lucifer didn't cave into Mammon's requests as easily as he does in this memory
In S2 Asmo says it's Michael who goes to Lucifer and asks him to take Mammon because Mammon won't stop acting up
So presumably, what really happened would be closer to that, than what we see happen when MC & Number 2 are present - Mammon keeps acting up (like mentioned in S2 & S3), Michael's punishments doesn't stop him from doing so despite them being harsh (like mentioned in S3) and Michael eventually goes to Lucifer for help & Lucifer ends up taking Mammon under his wing after spending a day/having a converstaion with him (like mentioned in S2) and Lucifer might give him the rose challenge as well
Also, considering these are Mammon's memories, they're likely more subjectively skewered than what actually happened
Anyway, here's how "Lucifer took them on while they were still kids" can still win
No but for real, I knew they'd never give us kid sprites of the characters but I refuse to believe they weren't children when they met Lucifer
Luckily, the idea of Mammon remembering the memory but with his present day self actually fits? Like, it's something you can pull meaning out of - I love the idea of him switching from his "adult self" to his "child self" inside his memory while arguing about staying with Lucifer
So my current theory was that;
In reality, this whole thing happened when Mammon was a child (think Luke's age or younger)
In the memory, Mammon's an adult, the same age as he is in Nightbringer, but he's following the script laid out my his child-self
Since MC & Number 2 weren't present during the actual events of this memory, he breaks out of the script when talking to them but still takes cues from his younger self on how he would have done things back then (eg: repeatedly calling Lucifer badass*)
I know that's not what Solmare intended but luckily the choices they made during this actually fit with this theory;
• Mammon who's good at high-speed driving surfing, flying, the trapeze falling out of a pegasus chariot is questionable. Consider, he was a child when that actually happened and.....
• *The limited vocabulary that Number 2 mentioned, when we've seen, multiple times, just how well Mammon can explain why he likes Lucifer so much without having to use "badass" over and over as a descriptor
• This might be a stretch because Mammon can act childish, specially when interacting with Lucifer, But his entire interaction with Lucifer
• Luke got a guardian at "age 10" (which took him hundreds? thousands? of years to reach). Assuming all angels get guardians at around the same age that means that Mammon had Michael from around "age 10" to adulthood (this would have take thousands? hundreds of thousands? of years) - there's no way Mammon would have lasted that long with Michael as a guardian, given how hard he was trying to make Lucifer take him on, given that at one point pre-Lucifer he was acting up so much the others thought he would Fall
• Levi and the others weren't even born at this time, if Mammon was an adult it'd make their age difference a lot larger than it seems (Mammon & Levi act like siblings who are relatively close in age vs Lucifer & the others who act like an adult and his kids - something the game has commented on a few times as well)
