May I request Harry Potter x aunt reader
Y/N is James' sister and Severus' best friend. This sparks a fight between the siblings and they lose touch. Y/N marries Severus and becomes an auror with a reputation as a fierce hunter of Death Eaters. After a successful career that has brought her many scars and fame, she returns to Hogwarts as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Harry doesn't know he has an aunt, and Ron is curious why the teacher, who is nicknamed "Snape in a Skirt," is so nice to Harry. Voldemort then reveals to Harry that Y/N is his aunt and that he wants to kill her because she only causes him trouble

Maybe for her brother being with someone like Severus Snape was something to consider himself a "traitor" and even more so since she was his little protégé and little twin sister. It was frustrating for him to see how the other half of him was best friends with his biggest enemy, to see how those two were inseparable.
It would not be a surprise to many, even James and his band of friends, to know that Severus no longer had eyes for Lily Evans (which James is partly grateful for) and now those looks of excitement and excitement are directed towards his sister Y/N Potter. Which sparked a loud dispute with The Marauders and Snape in the background, allowing them to hear all the twins' commotion.
"Merlin, James! Stop bothering me! Just because you're my brother and you ask me to end my friendship with him, I'm not going to do it, you understand!? I'm already tired of you interfering in my relationships just because you don't like them for nothing!" The feminine screams at her brother, who was in front of her red with rage and fury that had accumulated for a long time. “Accept it, James, Sev and I are never going to separate no matter how much you want us to, much less without one good reason."
"Do you want a reason? Fine! It's simple, I don't want you to be the same as that first-class idiot, who only knows how to follow Lily like her dog, it's not good for you to be with people like him"He snapped with anger in his voice as he looked into his sister's insistent eyes, clenching his fists at his sides causing his knuckles to quickly lose color and turn white.
Y/N, full of annoyance and disbelief, spoke: "That's the stupidest thing you've ever said in your life, James. I'm not going to separate from Sev because of that stupidity, he suits me, and much more than you if you ask me! He is "Much better than you in several ways! I like him! And I'm not going to allow you to keep giving me stupid numbers just because you don't like him!"
Severus, who was witnessing the arduous scene, froze in place upon hearing his friend's words. Apparently every attempt to eliminate every feeling he had for her, thinking that it was not reciprocated, was in vain. He, who was in a state of shock, could not allow himself to continue listening until she screamed again in fury.
"Fine! This ends here, James, if you don't like the idea of seeing me happy with the person I love and long for, then this is all over, ignore the fact that I am your sister and don't talk to me again, because I already see that "The only thing you're doing when you talk to me is hurt me!"
She snapped red with anger with tears threatening to come out of her ocean blue eyes. He turned around and began to walk with heavy steps, pushing Sirius with his shoulder as he went, taking Snape by the hand, beginning to leave that place without preventing the crystalline tears from starting to come out of his eyes as he was far enough away from him over there.
"Uhmm… Y/N… I'm so sorry for what just happened because of me with your brother… I really didn't mean to."He apologized sincerely making them both sit on the roots of a tree near the Black Lake. He wrapped the girl in her arms as soon as they sat down, beginning to caress her wavy, silky hair.
The girl began to shake due to the sobs of her sadness, soaking her friend's robe with salty tears, alerting the black-haired man who squeezed her tighter against him. "Don't apologize Sev… It's not your fault, it's his for not accepting that he is a selfish fucking idiot who should let me be happy with the person I love"
"Oh… Yes… About that… Do you really feel that way about me? I mean… It's exciting to know that I'm loved by the most beautiful girl there has ever been in all of Hogwarts.." He murmured softly. against his hair, lightly inhaling the girl's soft fruity aroma, and then feeling how she tensed a little and separated from him a little to look into his eyes.
The girl, who had already stopped shedding tears little by little, slowly blushed at her opponent's words. "Sev… I've been in love with you for a year… But I never wanted to tell you for fear that you would continue to love Lily…" she murmured, looking away from him, avoiding the embarrassment of the moment.
"Fuck Y/N… You don't know how much I wanted to tell you this for a long time… You know? Yes, I still love Lily." The brunette squirmed in her place, pursing her lips, avoiding saying anything while she narrowed her little eyes that longed to throw away. tears again at what was said. "But like… A friend?… Since I met you, some time later I discovered that Lily was just a crush since she was the first girl I met in my life… But then you came along and changed that… "And it wasn't just a crush… It's something true, and knowing that you feel the same is… Encouraging."
"Sev…" He whispered, looking up again, moving from his eyes to her lips slowly, getting a little closer, remaining a few centimeters from her face. The boy swallowed hard nervously while he did the same action as the girl in his arms, shortening the short distance, touching his lips in a very small but lasting kiss full of feelings.
"Y/N… Will you allow me to be the happiest man and be your boyfriend?…" He asked shyly cupping the brunette's small blushing cheek, cupping her face affectionately.
"Of course, Severus…" She responded by giving him another small kiss and then hugging him tightly again, sealing their love under that tree on the lake, without imagining what things his future would bring.

After long years without contact with her brother after that tedious fight, she married Severus some time ago after becoming a kind of Death Eater hunter, taking many of them behind the bars of Azkaban prisons. She knew that her husband did not like this work at all despite having been a Death Eater after graduating, he did not like at all that his smooth and soft skin had now become scratchy and calloused with scars due to the risk of his job.
Despite all this, he had to accept that there was good news in his life, such as the time he notified him that James and Lily had gotten married and had a child, he felt so happy for them that he had forgotten for a moment that he had already He had no contact with his brother, holding back every desire to want to go visit them and see his beloved nephew Harry. He knew very well in advance that after the birth of his nephew, his brother along with Lily had died at the hands of Voldemort and that Harry, being barely a baby, was able to survive the feared Adava Kedavra, making him a celebrity in the magical world, of course. This news devastated Y/N, who sought great comfort after her grief with her husband, trying to overcome the pain of her loss at all costs.
After the years, she wanted to leave her job as Aurora and started teaching at Hogwarts, she knew that her nephew was already there, she knew that Voldemort had returned for him and perhaps for her too, but still, she wanted to spend time with him, although for on the other hand, Severus, who quite renounced this decision, had no choice but to accept, understanding his beloved's desire to meet the only family he had left.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, surprising many when they saw how close she was to Severus Snape, making more than a smile and sigh from the 'most feared professor at Hogwarts', some even noticed the ring that both wore it on their ring finger, it being impossible not to notice the similarity of these, it was there that they nicknamed her 'Snape in a skirt', something that inevitably reached the ears of the great Harry Potter, who had noticed a great resemblance between him and her physically.
Harry even thought he was going to have another teacher with an attitude as scary as Snape's after Gilderoy ran away and 'Snape in a Skirt' arrived when he heard fourth year boys, like the Weasley twins, saying that the new teacher was very heavy and quite scary when you notice her scars on her arms, neck and face, but her surprise was great when it was time for Defenses Against the Dark Arts and the woman treated Harry as if he were her son, unlike the rest, They were treated as if they were in Potions class.
Tumblr media
A week after Y/N's arrival, petrifications continued to occur at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which worried everyone greatly, even rumors reached the new teacher that Harry was 'The heir of Slytherin' being a Idiocy on the part of the students. She had already interacted with her nephew on several occasions without him even knowing that they were related to her, although talks about her with her group of friends were inevitable after he and Y/N finished talking.
"I still have a question… Do any of you know why they call him 'Snape in a Skirt'?" Harry questioned his friends, receiving a silent denial from Hermione, but a quick and boisterous nod from Ron.
"Of course! You're too lost not to have listened yet," she said as she looked at him with bored but emotion-filled eyes, receiving a 'I'm sorry' from Harry. "It's okay. Well, almost everyone says it's because of her attitude, everyone complains that she's like Snape but a woman, hence her nickname, although there are some who say it's because she's very close to the Potions professor and because ' "They share rings very similar to those of a marriage. But still, that doesn't take my mind off the fact that she's only nice to you, Harry." He explained making quotes with his fingers and emphasizing the 'share' and then looked forward again and prevented his bad luck from playing against him again and causing him to collide with someone again. or hit something.
Hermione snorted and spoke "Well, they're right in both situations, she has a very strong character and her scars speak for themselves… And about the ring, well… I never looked closely but you don't have to be very smart to see which are very similar in terms of design." This made Harry think extremely, remaining silent as he walked next to his friends who were once again fighting over some pointless thing. She had her suspicions about Snape for a year, and now he is involved with Slytherin because of his Parcel, and now with the arrival of that new teacher and her great physical resemblance and her strange change of mood with him, it was starting to be a headache for him.
That same night, Harry along with Ron and his former Defenses Against the Dark Arts teacher were able to discover the chamber of secrets by entering it, so that Harry continued advancing after one of the teacher's idiocies, he finally found himself with ' Tom Riddle' who after a short conversation mentioned something that left him disconcerted.
"Haven't I told you? Murdering impure people doesn't matter to me at all, for several months the ones I've been looking for are you and your aunt." This left Harry cold, it couldn't be possible that they were looking for his Aunt Petunia, she doesn't even have a drop of magical blood. "How is it possible that a baby with no extraordinary magical talent defeated the greatest wizard of all time? How could you escape with only a scar while all of her powers were nullified?"
"Why are you interested in how I escaped? Voldemort didn't live in your time… And why would you want to kill my Aunt Petunia, if she's a Muggle?" Harry asked quickly in response without backing down, regretting it for a moment when he noticed the abrupt change in 'Tom's expression and the tension was becoming more and more noticeable in that place.
Angry and angry 'Tom' responded: "Voldemort… It is my past, present and future…" He turned around and with his wand began what apparently seemed like writing in the air leaving the letters in his wake. of his full name, and after a movement he rearranged them, thus leaving the phrase 'I am Lord Voldemort' and spoke again. "And your aunt… I'm not talking about your pathetic, bony Dursley… I'm talking about Y/N… The sister of the famous James Potter, and the aunt of the great Harry Potter…Don't think I'm going to let her go, it's just a thorn in the side if she's alive… She has to die so she doesn't interfere with my plans anymore."
Faced with this revelation, Harry remained static and in shock in his place, despite all the dust and dirt on his face, you could see how his skin was turning pale little by little, and then he began to engage in a fight with the Basilisk afterwards. that Dumbledore's Phoenix arrived with a hat with a sword that appeared shortly after inside it, concluding with the bloody death of the enormous snake.
Harry, trying to put aside the fact that the Basilisk bit him with its poisoned bite, approached Ginny taking her hand listening to Voldemort's ramble, then took the diary and opened it and then took the tooth that he pulled out of the Basilisk and stabbed the blank page of the book, causing some kind of bloody textured ink to come out, receiving angry and desperate screams from Voldemort, he continued stabbing the book until 'Tom Riddle's' body was no longer there with them.
Tumblr media
Hours after Harry and the others were able to leave thanks to the Phoenix and Harry and Ron spoke with Headmaster Dumbledore and had a small fight with Lucius Malfoy, before dinner in the great hall, he searched the entire castle for his teacher and aunt. , Y/N, finding her in one of the hallways that led to the dungeon halls.
"Professor Y/N! Can I talk to you for a moment, please?" She asked politely with a shy look and frown. "Is something important"
The one with ocean eyes turned around when she heard her nephew's voice, giving him a small smile. "Of course Harry! What do you need, little one?" She responded kindly as she looked into his eyes fondly.
"Well… As the director may have already told you… I was with Vold-…You-Know-Who" He interrupted himself, knowing that not many like the mention of that disgusting wizard's name. "Yesterday in the chamber… He told me something that was quite disconcerting… Why didn't he tell me? Why didn't he tell me that you are my aunt?"
The woman just sighed and placed her hand on the boy's shoulder as she opened her eyes to speak. "You know, Harry? You're just as direct as your father was…" she murmured with a sad, nostalgic smile and a lost look before sighing lightly again. "I never told you because I never had the chance… I couldn't be there for you when you were little… And now that I got to see you here, I just didn't have the courage to tell you and have you face the fact that I'm a Terrible aunt for that…"
"Still, it's quite strong to know that I don't just have my Aunt Petunia as a family… I wish you had arrived earlier, you know? I had a horrible time at the Dursleys' house and with no place to go." go… And now I find out about this.."
"I know, little one… And believe me, I'm so sorry… I'm so sorry, Harry… I just… When I found out that James and Lily got married and had you, I just… I wanted to see them." …But I couldn't… I was still afraid of seeing your father after our fight and thinking that he could still hate me for that…" He paused when he noticed that his voice broke as he felt the knot in his throat, and then continued "I always wanted to meet you… And take care of you after what happened… But I never knew your whereabouts… I never knew… But you don't know how happy I am to know that you are here… Live, despite everything you've been through…"
The youngest just nodded with teary eyes and managed to rush towards her to hug her tightly, releasing all the pain and happiness he felt after he found out that that fearsome teacher was his aunt and that she always loved him.
Tumblr media
They both arrived at the large dining room and the one with brown hair saw her beloved nephew in the distance with his friends talking, he turned around and saw her and then greeted her with his hand and a small smile and eyes of joy, he returned the greeting and smile. and then continued on her way with her husband to the teachers' table, where they sat together and he spoke.
"Apparently you already talked to Potter about that, dear," he whispered so that only she could hear as he took her hand under the table without anyone noticing, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb, gently tracing the scar that adorned it with the finger.
The woman smiled warmly, leaning down to rest her head on her lover's shoulder, feeling how he tense up at the demonstration of affection in a public place, where it is not supposed to be known about their relationship.
"Well Mr. Snape, I had to do it at any moment, after all he is my nephew… I knew that despite what happened, he was going to accept me, after all, who wouldn't accept a beauty like me?" The woman joked as she looked into his eyes, separating herself a little with her smile remaining a few centimeters from her face.
The man who only looked at her tightened his grip on their clasped hands and murmured: "Well… You're right… It would be unforgivable just not to accept someone as beautiful and incredible as you, darling.." He said so that Then the woman approached again, leaving a soft short kiss on his lips and then kissing his cheek and the tip of his nose when they separated, surprising everyone who had decided to fix their eyes on the two at that moment, between those, Harry, who seemed like after that scene, just wanted the world to swallow him up and spit him out in Azkaban to erase all memory of that sight.

Essay - wc: 615 - Gilderat
Tumblr media
The Hogwarts Library was nearly deserted, save for a lone figure hunched over a stack of books. Peter Pettigrew scrawled furiously at his parchment, trying to finish an essay for Transfiguration that was due the next morning. His heart raced with panic—he had no idea what McGonagall would say if he turned in work this shoddy.
“Still at it, eh, Pettigrew?”
Peter’s quill froze. That voice—it was as smooth as butter and just as slippery.
He looked up and found himself staring into the bright, dazzling smile of Gilderoy Lockhart. His golden hair seemed to glow even in the dim light of the library, and Peter felt his face flush.
“Er… yeah,” Peter mumbled, quickly looking back at his parchment. He wasn’t sure why Gilderoy was even talking to him.
Gilderoy plopped down into the chair opposite him, completely uninvited. “You look like you’re in over your head. What is it this time? Transfiguration? Charms?” He waved a hand dismissively. “I could probably whip it up for you in no time. Top marks, guaranteed.”
Peter frowned. “I don’t need you to do it for me.”
“Oh, come on,” Gilderoy said, leaning back in his chair. “I’m only offering because I’m feeling generous. You could use a little... help.”
Peter’s face burned hotter. Gilderoy wasn’t exactly wrong. He wasn’t like James or Sirius, who could breeze through assignments without a second thought. Even Remus, quiet as he was, never seemed to struggle the way Peter did.
“Why do you even care?” Peter snapped, surprising himself.
Gilderoy tilted his head, a mischievous glint in his eye. “Maybe I just like seeing you squirm. Or maybe I’ve noticed you sitting here, week after week, working your fingers to the bone while the rest of your friends are off gallivanting. You deserve a break, Pettigrew.”
Peter stared at him, unsure of what to say. No one noticed him, least of all someone like Gilderoy Lockhart. But here he was, all smiles and charm, leaning forward as if Peter were the most fascinating thing in the room.
“Why aren’t you off gallivanting, then?” Peter challenged, folding his arms.
Gilderoy chuckled, a sound that was infuriatingly perfect. “Oh, I’m not much of a gallivanter. I prefer a more refined setting.” His voice dropped slightly, and he leaned in closer. “Like this one.”
Peter swallowed hard, his heartbeat thudding in his ears. “If you’re trying to distract me, it’s working,” he muttered, his eyes darting back to his parchment.
“Distracting you is easy,” Gilderoy said, his tone softening. “But I meant what I said—you deserve a break.”
Peter glanced up at him, his nervousness giving way to a flicker of curiosity. Gilderoy’s usual bravado seemed... different tonight. Softer. More genuine.
“Why do you care?” Peter asked again, this time more quietly.
Gilderoy didn’t answer right away. Instead, he reached over and plucked the quill from Peter’s hand, ignoring the startled noise of protest. He twirled it between his fingers, his smile fading into something almost serious.
“Because,” Gilderoy said finally, “I think there’s more to you than they see. And I’d like to be the one to prove it.”
Peter’s breath caught. For once, Gilderoy’s words didn’t feel like the hollow, self-serving nonsense he usually spouted. They felt... real.
“You’re full of it,” Peter said, but there was no bite in his words.
“Maybe,” Gilderoy said with a grin. “But you’re still going to let me help you with that essay, aren’t you?”
Peter hesitated, then sighed. “Fine. But don’t think this means I owe you anything.”
“Oh, Pettigrew,” Gilderoy said, his eyes sparkling. “You already owe me your heart.”
And for the first time that night, Peter smiled.

Hallo! I'm not sure if you've already discussed or talked about the Obliviation spell and how memory magic works in general in HP already, but I think that'd be pretty neat if ever.
Hello!
So, I talked a bit here about pensive memories and how I think there's more than one spell involved. Now, mind magic in general in HP aren't talked about that much, but I have some thoughts about it (like I have about everything in HP).
I'll start with something I mentioned here regarding mind magic in general, and that mind magic seems to be the opposite of spells like the Patronus Charm or the unforgivable cures. While the unforgivable and the patronus required emotion, Snape says Occlumancy requires a clear mind:
“Clear your mind, Potter,” said Snape’s cold voice. “Let go of all emotion. . . .” But Harry’s anger at Snape continued to pound through his veins like venom. Let go of his anger? He could as easily detach his legs. . . . “You’re not doing it, Potter. . . . You will need more discipline than this. . . . Focus, now. . . .”
(OotP, 535)
I assume all magic that has to do with the mind requires a clear mind to work correctly. Like, you can obliviate someone without a clear head, but you might delete too much or too little. The clarity of mind is necessary for control and precision which is also required for Legilimency (or to at least understand what you're seeing with it).
Now, we know that pensive memories as I mentioned here can be collected and physically removed from one's mind, as Snape does in his Occlumancy lessons with Harry:
Snape merely raised the wand to his temple and placed its tip into the greasy roots of his hair. When he withdrew it, some silvery substance came away, stretching from temple to wand like a thick gossamer strand, which broke as he pulled the wand away from it and fell gracefully into the Pensieve
(OotP, 533)
But Obliviation doesn't seem to work the same way. We know from Dumbledore that you can try and retrieve obliviated memories or memories buried by false ones that are implanted:
“Never,” said Dumbledore. “He gave, as I say, a full and boastful confession.” “But he had this real memory in him all the time!” “Yes, but it took a great deal of skilled Legilimency to coax it out of him,” said Dumbledore
(HBP, 367)
Lockhart, too, after obliviating himself, still retains some of his memories and mannerisms:
“We’re doing autographs!” Gilderoy told the Healer with another glittering smile. “They want loads of them, won’t take no for an answer! I just hope we’ve got enough photographs!” “Listen to him,” said the Healer, taking Lockhart’s arm and beaming fondly at him as though he were a precocious two-year-old. “He was rather well known a few years ago; we very much hope that this liking for giving autographs is a sign that his memory might be coming back a little bit
(OotP, 510)
This suggests that unlike what Snape did with the pensive Obliviate doesn't really remove the memory from the mind, just severs the connections to the memory within the brain, but it's still there and could still be retrieved partially (or even fully) by a skilled Legilimence (Like Dumbledore) or the mind healers at St. Mongos.
Even so, the memories that return aren't perfect. Dumbledore couldn't get the full memory back from Morfin's mind, likely because Tom hid certain parts better than others. Memories returning, even if they are still present and not fully removed, is no easy task. It requires careful coaxing to not damage the mind and memories further.
Then we have false memories that can be implanted:
“I see we are of one mind,” said Dumbledore. “Certainly, there are many similarities between this death and that of the Riddles. In both cases, somebody else took the blame, someone who had a clear memory of having caused the death —” “Hokey confessed?” “She remembered putting something in her mistress’s cocoa that turned out not to be sugar, but a lethal and little-known poison,” said Dumbledore. “It was concluded that she had not meant to do it, but being old and confused —” “Voldemort modified her memory, just like he did with Morfin!” “Yes, that is my conclusion too,” said Dumbledore.
(HBP, 438-439)
This magic is different from both Legilimency and Obliviation but requires the same clear mind (I assume). What I expect it does is the opposite of the spell that removes a memory entirely to be placed in a pensive. Essentially placing a new memory in.
Now, we know memories can be edited once they're outside someone's brain (be it a copy or the actual memory):
As several of the boys tittered, something very odd happened. The whole room was suddenly filled with a thick white fog, so that Harry could see nothing but the face of Dumbledore, who was standing beside him. Then Slughorn’s voice rang out through the mist, unnaturally loudly, “You’ll go wrong, boy, mark my words.”
(HBP, 370)
So, I think making a false memory works the same way. You take a memory from yourself (a copy) or remove a memory from the target, edit it as heavily as necessary, and then place it in someone's mind the way you would a removed memory. It is probably the same spell Snape used to return the pensive memories to him after the Occlumancy lessons:
and hurried toward the office door. As he opened it he glanced back at Snape, who had his back to Harry and was scooping his own thoughts out of the Pensieve with the tip of his wand and replacing them carefully inside his own head.
(OotP, 538)
Now, a bit more about editing memories. This is a complex skill and not something everyone is doing. Memories in HP are more like frozen fragments in time than just memories. We see it in SWM that Harry can listen in on the Marauders when Snape isn't near them. The memories are perfect in detail and "remember" more than a person naturally would. So, even though in SWM Snape wasn't listening to the Marauders, he still heard them in his pariphary. So their conversation was in his memory even if he couldn't actively recall it.
Basically, calling them memories is a little misleading. They are memories, but they also perfectly capture a moment in a way human memory almost never would. It captures everything your senses get from the scene, even the bits your brain would usually filter out because you don't need all that information.
That's why editing them is probably so hard. Because there is a lot of detail and it all has to be perfected if it's to be viewed in a pensive.
That being said, if the memory is placed in someone's mind without the intention of them viewing the memory outside their own recollection, it doesn't have to be perfect. As I mentioned, compared to how the pensive shows memories, human recollection is very flawed. If something is missing from your memory of a scene a few years ago, you won't get suspicious someone replaced it, you'll think you forgot a detail.
So editing memories into someone's mind is much easier than memories that go into a pensive. It's possible Slyghorn's edited memory wouldn't have felt edited inside a mind, since the brain would fill in the lack of visuals on its own (the brain just does things like that) but in a pensive, there is no human brain to finish his work for him, so the edit is glaringly obvious.
This is, like, all I have to say about mind magic off the top of my head, I believe, hope this answers your ask.

James Sirius Potter/Gilderoy Lockhart
Pansy Parkinson/Madam Rosmerta
Aunt Muriel/James Potter
George Weasley/Barty Crouch Jr
Lavender Brown/Xenophilius Lovegood
Sybill Trelawney/Poppy Pomfrey
full on chuckling at these, anon. genuinely incredible work.
james sirius potter/gilderoy lockhart
i feel i have a professional obligation to say that - on the basis of the condition we find him in post chamber of secrets - lockhart lacks the capacity to meaningfully consent to a relationship.
james can content himself with his grandmother molly's scrapbook of photos of lockhart's pearly whites - and maybe he can end up in a tawdry age-gap romance with gladys gudgeon when the two of them decide to revive the gilderoy lockhart fan club.
pansy parkinson/madam rosmerta
i'm actually going to tentatively claim this one's canon, because if know one thing about rosmerta it's that she's got an unbelievable rack and if we know one thing about pansy it's that she's a connoisseur of great tits.
[my evidence for this? when she's sounding off about how everyone notices ginny weasley - canonically well-endowed enough for her dress at bill and fleur's wedding to have the guests in shambles, according to muriel at least. what do they notice about her, pans? don't be shy...]
muriel prewett/james potter
my god i'd read this.
the canonical james needs putting in his place, after all.
george weasley/barty crouch jr.
well, the weasley twins are very taken with "moody" in goblet of fire...
plus, they're both quidditch fans, both fond of theatric, both love their mothers, both don't want to work for the ministry of magic...
it's not not working for me...
lavender brown/xenophilius lovegood
while they've got that shared new age-y thing going on, lavender is hot, brave, and ferociously loyal, while xenophilius lovegood is a weak-willed coward who needs to visit a hair salon. let her make eyes at firenze for the rest of her life, as god intended.
sybill trelawney/poppy pomfrey
yeah, why not. chocolate and skelegrow would probably work just as well as psychotherapy for whatever's going on with our sybill.

"No more, the crap rolls out your mouth again! Haven't changed -- your brain is still gelatin! Little whispers circle around your head... Why don't you worry about yourself instead!?"
~"Holier Than Thou" by Metallica
x~x~x~x
[transcribed from art, for easier translation]
Olivia: Cool your jets, Jacob, that prat isn't worth it. Duncan: Better to get back at Lockhart when there isn't a Hall full of witnesses around. Olivia: Not helping, Duncan.
x~x~x~x
Happy belated birthday, Jacob Cromwell!
In celebration (?), I thought I'd salute one of my personal favorite headcanons about Jacob that I haven't had much of a chance to explore...namely, that Jacob shared a dormroom with the one, the only Gilderoy Lockhart!
Yes, as you can imagine, Jacob hated Lockhart's bloody guts. 😂
Really, though, it wasn't hard for Jacob to hate Lockhart when that "toothy prat" would act like the smartest guy in the room and yet cowardly avoid any challenges or duels that could contradict that overly shiny self-image Lockhart had of himself. Old Gilderoy was also prone to grab more attention from female students than Jacob did, even with his ridiculously puffed-up ego, for his good looks and (marginally) better people skills. Oh yeah -- and then there was Lockhart's attempt to marginalize Jacob, Duncan, and Olivia's hard work dealing with the Cursed Vaults terrorizing Hogwarts by acting like he'd suspected how to break each curse all along and (even more insultingly) insinuating that it was really him who'd instructed the three Cursebreakers in the methods they'd used to break them. Lockhart even brashly reiterated this one infamous Valentine's Day in his and the Trio's fifth year when he received 800 Valentine's cards and presents (which, as it turned out, were all from Lockhart to himself) --
" -- such beautiful gifts and cards! No doubt from fans both across and outside Hogwarts itself! They must've heard of my heroic efforts toward helping break the curses on the Cursed Vaults! Taught Duncan Ashe everything he knows about puzzle solving...and poor Miss Green was clueless in dealing with those boggarts until I showed her the proper method! And those Acromantula, ho ho...I daresay our favorite Cursebreakers would've been helpless in communicating with those beasts, if it weren't for me teaching Jacob some basic phrases..."
Even if his friends successfully held Jacob back physically, they didn't stop him from verbally tearing into Lockhart.
"'TAUGHT ME SOME PHRASES?!' Acromantula are capable of HUMAN SPEECH, you brain-dead numpty!"
Ultimately Lockhart's little stunt came to an end when the Great Hall had to be cleared of students so the teachers could properly deal with the 800 owls and their 800 packages and letters cluttering up the room. Lockhart's interest in stealing credit for dealing with the Cursed Vaults waned for a short time after Olivia's disappearance, Duncan's death, and Jacob's expulsion, but came back in full when Jacob's sister Carewyn likewise had to deal with them. Fortunately Lockhart failed to collect enough information about Carewyn's adventures to take credit for them and was forced to retreat with a very basic Memory Charm as his goodbye before she or her date Andre Egwu could put together his true intentions. And more fortunately still, about six years later, Lockhart got his just desserts when all of the lies he told to score cheap fame and success came to light.
No one was more pleased when the world finally conjured up enough brain cells to see Lockhart for the idiot and fraud he was than Jacob Cromwell. And ironically enough, the world had also finally conjured up enough brain cells to see for who Jacob really was by then -- not a delinquent as so many had presumed for so long, but an eccentric, brilliant wizard with iron-clad loyalty, incredible magical talent, and a heart as brave as Lockhart's is cowardly.

Sirius Black is many things—reckless, charming, a certified menace—but in love? Absolutely not. At least, that’s what he keeps telling himself. But when Remus Lupin starts spending time with Gilderoy Lockhart, of all people, Sirius spirals into a full-blown crisis.
What follows is a series of increasingly ridiculous (and slightly illegal) shenanigans as he tries to prove that he’s definitely not jealous, while James and Peter watch the disaster unfold with popcorn in hand. It’s only a matter of time before Sirius is forced to confront the one thing scarier than getting caught: his own feelings. (art by kiwiso on Instagram!)

We have Remus/Gilderoy Lockhart, but what about Sirius/Lockhart?
Hmmmm I don't know if I can come up with a reason why Sirius would be interested in Lockhart. The two Remus/Lockhart fics I talk about on here (both of them are called Wanderings with Werewolves, lol) lay out spectacularly believable scenarios for Remus and Lockhart being interested in each other. But I can't make it work in my head for Sirius. However, maybe he's just at a bar one night and Lockhart is a pretty face that he wouldn't mind fucking? And then they never speak to each other again? I suppose I can see it as a one-night-stand, and maybe that's before Lockhart starts writing all his terrible books lol. I don't think Sirius would be able to sleep with someone who was so full of himself about his sham books, even if he was hot.

...Shouldn't Gilderoy give Severus a makeover? Like, full montage with pretty woman playing throughout.
My oh my, the image you've just painted — a most delicious, daring proposal indeed! Picture our own Severus Snape, cloaked in mystery and more than a little grease, being beautified by the golden boy of charm himself, Gilderoy Lockhart!
Just imagine the magic that could transpire from such a dazzling dalliance! A puff of colourful smoke and the swish of a glamour-charmed wand, and our elusive Potion Master might just transform into the very epitome of wizarding elegance, much like a boggart turning into a mooncalf.
The thought of Lockhart's signature touch working its magic on Snape is simply sensational! Oh, how the hallowed streets of Diagon Alley would reverberate with the shockwaves of such an unprecedented metamorphosis. We could call it... 'From Potions to Perfection' or 'The Charm Offensive', perhaps?
Imagine, dear readers, a montage to the tune of 'Pretty Woman', with Snape stepping out of a spell-saturated cloud, shimmering in newly tailored robes of silk and velvet, his raven hair sleek, shining, and charm-charmed to utter perfection. Lockhart by his side, flashing his iconic, heart-melting smile, proud as a Phoenix with a freshly reborn plumage.
But let us not forget, darling reader, that beneath those robes and the layers of congealed potion fumes, Severus Snape is a wizard of many layers — as complex as an aged bottle of Baruffio's Brain Elixir. Can Lockhart's magic penetrate the depths of that shadowy enigma? I'm just quivering in anticipation at the thought of such a delightful spectacle.
And remember, readers, any magical makeover can be temporary, but a fascinating character remains, deeply carved like runes in an ancient stone. So while we might enjoy the visual treat of a resplendent Snape, would he still be the intriguingly grim and gloomy wizard we so love to ponder?
Stay tuned to Rita Skeeter's column, my ever-curious readers, for there's never a dull moment when we dive into the lives of our wizarding world's most fascinating figures!
Gossiping glamorously,
Rita Skeeter

A fascinating person Gilderoy Lockhart was. Whenever Greta would speak with him there was this lingering feeling of secrecy from him. Even when he would obnoxiously speak about himself, it was still interesting to watch someone speak on, and on, about one particular subject such as themselves. Greta had seen people similar to him, and there were always signs of something more to those people than they'd let on. However, Gil was one of a kind in that aspect, he would only tell her so much. If Greta would try to dig deeper, he'd change the subject or divert the question with another or something to get away from it.
Greta wouldn't push someone no matter her curiosity. Keeping secrets, to be in the know of things, was a gracious opportunity and honor that required no persistence. Trust is a huge factor, and Greta knew it had to be a matter of time before she could see the real Gilderoy Lockhart.
Greta walked over to where Gil was sitting, watching as the rest of the folks had made their way out of her bar. She sighed with relief, quickly pulling out her wand as the last couple left and gave a quick flick. Locks could be heard clicking, curtains came down over the windows and the lights dulled to something warmer.
"Other than our usuals getting up to their usual fanatics, the quidditch game seemed to be a big highlight for this season. Then... outside of work, at least, I've heard a few whispers and rumors of trouble. Nothing confirmed, though. So, Mr. Lockhart, that's where I ask... What have I missed?" A cat like smile playing on her full lips, she flicked her gaze toward him.
Tumblr media
Gil was still recovering from whatever had happened to him at the festival. Medics had looked him over, and he'd gone to the hospital and everything, but his memories were hazy at best. Something about the crowns, wasn't it? He didn't know.
"You and me both." He told Greta, scrunching up his nose in distaste. Gil still couldn't bring himself to eat much of anything and his head still felt like cotton and death combined. "What have I missed?"

(Wolfstar Crush Confession with just Fluff and Humour, starring Matchmaker Remus Lupin and his client Sirius Black)
"Let me make one thing very clear," Madame Puddifoot snaps. "You better start arranging dates for Sirius Black, so he can find his perfect match, or otherwise, there may not be a future for you at this agency."
Remus works as a matchmaker at Madame Puddifoot’s Dating Agency, and if he wants to keep his job, he has to find a match for 'most eligible bachelor' Sirius Black. While there are plenty of very willing candidates, for some reason, Remus is reluctant to let any of them go on a date with Sirius Black.
A Worthy Match
“Okay, listen to this,” Lily says. “Dorcas Meadows, with Marlene?”
Remus taps his pen on his paper in thought. “Alright. That could work. That could really work. They could be good together, and it could be really good, but it could also be a complete disaster. They are both very strong-willed. Dorcas can be snarky, and Marlene can be a lot. They can either end up loving each other, or killing each other.”
“True,” Lily says, leaning back on her desk chair. “But think about it like this: do you see either of them with someone who’s not strong-willed? They need someone who doesn’t go along with everything they say.”
“Good point,” Remus says. “I’d say make it happen!”
Lily grins and starts typing on her computer.
Remus scrolls through his email. “Oh lord,” he groans. “We received another application from Gilderoy Lockhart.”
Lily raises her eyebrows. “Really? After the background check we did?”
Remus scans the email. “He says the plagiarism case is just a ‘minor inconvenience that he’s sure will be resolved soon’.”
Lily snorts. “Good god, does he believe those stories himself?”
Remus shakes his head. “Can you imagine if we had taken him up into our database and set one of our clients up on a date with him?”
Lily shudders. “That would’ve cost us a client in the least.”
The database is filled with singles of all ages, genders and preferences, but all have gone through an extensive selection process. When a client enlists at their agency, they first check whether they have the proper financial means to cover their services and the right intentions when it comes to finding someone, and when a client is accepted, they are set up with members from the database who could be potential matches.
Remus lets his fingers glide over the keyboard. “Let me see, how do you say ‘fuck off’ in a professional way?” He starts typing. “ ‘Dear Mr. Lockhart. As per my last email…’ ”
Lily chuckles, but she immediately shuts up when they hear the tell-tale sound of high heels ticking on the hardwood floor.
In all her promotional material and public appearances, Madame Puddifoot looks like your favourite aunt, with her bright pink suits, neatly curled blond hair and wide, red lipstick smiles. But working for her has taught Remus that beyond the scenes, she’s actually a hands-on, ruthless business woman, who’s willing to go to any length for her company. It’s what it takes to run the most prestigious dating agency in the city and the surrounding area, known for its high-quality database, long-term successes and discretion. Madame Puddifoot’s Dating Agency is a household name, that caters to a large variety of prominent clients; celebrities, athletes, socialites, business men, politicians, you name it.
Madame Puddifoot demands full effort from all her employees. With her, there are three clear signs you’re in trouble. One, she says the dreaded words ‘my office’, two, she calls you by your last name, and three, worst of all, she calls you ‘sweetie’.
Remus almost lets out a relieved breath when Madame Puddifoot has passed his desk, but then she says, without even a glance in his direction, “Lupin, my office, sweetie.”
Remus groans, and the whole office throws him pitying looks. Lily bravely manages to give him an encouraging smile as Remus gets up and follows Madame Puddifoot into her office.
Well, he knew this was coming.
“I assume you know the reason you’re here.”
“Yes, madam.”
“And that is...?”
Remus sighs. “Sirius Black.”
Everyone in the area and beyond knows the name Sirius Black. He’s sort of a socialite. He’s the eldest son of the illustrious and powerful Black family, and heir to the Black family fortune. But he’s not just some party-boy rich heir. He studied Medicine, and volunteered with Doctors Without Borders for a few years. Now, he’s running a department in the city’s largest hospital, and often campaigns against the poor coverage of medical costs for vulnerable people.
Now, combine all that with the fact that Sirius Black is drop-dead gorgeous. Like, magazine cover gorgeous. Literally. Tabloids are fascinated with the famous heir and handsome doctor, and their covers often feature stories about him. If you’re launching a product, you’ll want Sirius Black to endorse it. If you’re hosting an event, you’ll want Sirius Black on the guest list. Of course, after being the city’s most eligible bachelor for years, the fact that Sirius Black has gone to a dating agency to find love caused quite a stir. Finding Sirius Black his perfect match will undoubtedly generate an immense amount of publicity for Madame Puddifoot’s Dating Agency.
“I do not have to tell you how much it will benefit our business if we can add the name Sirius Black to our list if satisfied customers,” Madame Puddifoot says.
Remus nods.
“Well then,” Madame Puddifoot folds her hands together. “Let me try a different approach then. Let me tell you what it would mean for our business if we fail in making a success story out of Sirius Black. Sirius Black is young, handsome and rich. If we can’t find him someone, then what hope is there for the rest? Why would anyone still come to us to find their match if we can’t even find a match for someone like Sirius Black? We might as well go out of business! Do you understand, Lupin?”
“Yes, Madam. I do.”
“Then explain to me, if you understand all that, why are you doing such a poor job?”
“I’m trying-” Remus protest.
“No, sweetie, you are not!” Madame Puddifoot interrupts. “At least I hope you’re not, because if this is you trying, it’s even worse then I thought.” She shakes her head. “And it started off so promising, when you had your exploratory business dinners.” When a client is accepted, the agent the client is assigned to usually arranges one or more business lunches or dinners with the client, to get a better read on them, get a clear idea of what they are looking for, what their likes and dislikes are, and in what points they might be willing to compromise, which is all incorporated into the client file. “Sirius Black was actually very enthusiastic about you.”
“He was?” Remus asks, feeling a rush of excitement, but Madame Puddifoot ignores him.
“I don’t understand how he hasn’t started complaining yet. Your performance has been absolutely unacceptable.” She picks up a report from her desk. “He has been our client for months now, and so far, you have set him up on... two dates.”
She looks up at Remus from over the report. Remus stays silent, so she continues. “One dinner, which they both reported to be quite pleasant, but then, immediately afterwards, you put his date in a cab home.” She puts down the report and gives Remus a pointed look. “Dare I ask why you were even there?”
“To chaperone!” Remus quickly says. “Like you said, Sirius Black isn’t just any client. I needed to make sure our member was on his best behaviour.”
Madame Puddifoot just looks at him.
“I sat at a different table,” Remus mumbles.
Madame Puddifoot pinches the bridge of her nose. “And sending his date home on his own immediately after?”
“He didn’t make any move to pay for his dinner when the check came!” Remus says indignantly. “Nothing! Not even a half-hearted attempt at suggesting to split the bill! We can’t have Sirius Black thinking our member are gold-diggers or something.”
Madame Puddifoot sighs and flips through the report. “And the other date, seeing the City Orchestra playing in the Royal Theatre. And you were sitting behind them.” She looks up at Remus again. “To chaperone.” She says sceptically.
“To chaperone,” Remus confirms.
“And then,” Madame Puddifoot scans the report. “In the break, you sent his date home and took his place.”
“He placed his hand on Sirius Black’s thigh!” Remus protests. “Not even halfway through the first date! It was highly inappropriate! I had to intervene. We can’t have Sirius Black thinking we’re that kind of agency, can we?”
“And that’s all you’ve done so far,” Madame Puddifoot continues undeterred. “Two dates, nothing more.”
“Well, if anything, those dates proved that I had to be even more selective!” Remus retorts. “I don’t want to send him on just any date, I want to wait until I’m sure I’ve found him the perfect date!”
“Only Sirius can decide whom he finds perfect for him, and you should’ve been presenting him with options.”
“If I could find options that are good enough...”
“Lupin,” Madame Puddifoot says firmly. “Each young man in our database has been hand-picked by me, and each of them is highly educated, accomplished, and well-spoken. And you honestly claim that after months, you weren’t able to find more than two options?”
“It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality.”
“And you haven’t been delivering either!” Madame Puddifoot slams her papers down on her desk, and then takes a deep breath to compose herself. “Truthfully, I wanted to pass your client on to a different agent, but Sirius Black insisted he’d like to keep working with you, God knows why.”
“He did?” Remus asks, unable to stop his lips curling into a dopey smile.
“Wipe that smile off of your face, sweetie,” Madame Puddifoot snaps. “If I could’ve given your client to someone else, at least you would’ve kept your job, but as it is, let me make one thing very clear. You better start arranging dates for Sirius Black, so he can find his perfect match, or otherwise, there may not be a future for you at this agency.”
“Lily, will you take care of my plant when I’m gone?”
“No,” Lily says, from where she’s sitting perched on the corner of Remus’ desk. “First of all, that has got to be the ugliest plant I have ever seen.”
“Oi, she can hear you!” Remus hisses.
“Secondly,” Lily continues undeterred. “You are not going to lose your job! Madame Puddifoot is right. Sirius Black is handsome, rich, and successful, how hard can it be to find him a match?” She picks up the folder with their database from Remus’ desk and starts flipping the pages. “Oh, what about Fabian Prewett?” She exclaims. “They will look good together!”
Remus purses his lips. “Didn’t he just get divorced? We don’t want Sirius Black to be used as some kind of rebound.”
“He married way too young, and he got divorced three years ago.”
“Sounds pretty fresh to me,” Remus says.
“Okay,” Lily starts flipping the pages again. “Caradoc Dearborn then? He’s a great guy!”
“Caradoc Dearborn doesn’t like dogs,” Remus says pointedly.
“So?”
“Sirius Black loves dogs!”
Lily takes Sirius’ file from Remus’ desk and scans the document. “He hasn’t listed a hard demand about liking dogs anywhere!”
“No,” Remus admits. “But someone who doesn’t like dogs is obviously a psychopath, Lily. I can’t send Sirius Black on a date with a psychopath, now can I?”
“Remus, you’ve known Caradoc for years. You know he’s not a psychopath!”
“Do I, Lily? Do I really?”
Lily narrows her eyes at him. “Alright, let’s see... Benjy Fenwick! Everyone always loves Benjy! He’s such a sweetheart.”
“Yes, he’s sweet...” Remus says.
“But?” Lily asks, with barely suppressed annoyance.
“But he’s too sweet! I mean, Sirius Black is a bit of a rebel. He’s the kind of guy who likes to live his life with a little risk, and thinks rules are meant to be broken. Benjy is the kind of guy who gets a panic attack when he’s a day late returning a library book.”
“Evan Rosier then? No one can accuse him of being too sweet.”
“No, he’s too posh.”
“Sirius Black is posh!”
“No, he’s not!”
“Remus, he’s a Black. That family is the textbook-definition of posh.”
“I know he seems posh, but once you get to know him, you’ll see that he’s really not. He’s actually very down-to-earth, open and approachable.”
“If you say so,” Lily says, rolling her eyes. “Well, there’s Edgar Bones?”
“He’s alright.”
“So... you’ll let him go on a date with Sirius Black?”
Remus shrugs. “If you think just ‘alright’ is good enough for someone like Sirius Black.”
They continue like that for a while. “He’s too pretentious.” “He talks too much.” “He doesn’t talk enough.” “He’s not socially aware at all.”
“What about Victor?” Lily asks.
“He won’t get Sirius’ humour,” Remus replies directly.
“Now you’re just making shite up!” Lily throws the folder back on Remus’ desk. “There isn’t even a Victor in our database!”
Remus crosses his arms over his chest. “But if there was, I’m sure he wouldn’t get Sirius’ humour!”
Lily jabs her finger against Remus’ chest. “You’re just being purposely difficult!”
“I’m just making sure we uphold to a certain standard in quality! I’m just doing my job, and I don’t know why everyone is on my case about it!”
Lily opens her mouth to protest, but then the door to the office opens and Lily groans. “Oh, for the love of God, what is he doing here?”
James Potter has just walked in. He’s a professional athlete. Neither Remus nor Lily knows the first thing about sports, but apparently, he’s the next big thing in football or something. At first, Lily was very excited to have him as her client, but at this point, that excitement has turned into frustration.
“It’s the same thing every time,” Lily has often complained. “I set him up on this lovely date with this lovely girl and they have a lovely time- afterwards, they all gush about what a perfect gentleman he is, so he’s not just in it for an easy shag- but he says the same thing after each date: ‘There wasn’t a spark’. I swear, Remus, the guy just doesn’t know what he wants!”
Truth is, James Potter knows exactly what he wants: a fiery red-head who scolds him when he forgets to hold the door open for his date and rolls her eyes at him when he talks about sports too much.
James grins broadly when he approaches them. “Hi Lily, Remus. That’s an... interesting plant you got there. How are you?”
“Busy,” Lily says curtly, as if she isn’t currently sitting on top of Remus’ desk, clearly not working. “And I do not believe we have an appointment today.”
“We don’t,” James says. “But you’ve arranged this lunch date with Emily this Saturday-”
“Emmeline.”
“Right. This lunch with Emmeline this Saturday. Now, I found this Italian sandwich shop, but I’m not sure if it’s suitable for a date. I was thinking that maybe we can check it out together, so you can see if it’s something Emmeline would like?”
“I don’t think you can go wrong with an Italian sandwich shop,” Lily replies, idly inspecting her nails.
“It might be good to get a woman’s input,” James urges.
“What a woman considers a good lunch place isn’t that different from what a man considers a good lunch place, Potter.”
“Still,” James says. “Best to be sure. My treat, of course!”
Lily looks over at Remus, who shrugs. “Free lunch?”
Lily lets out an exasperated sigh, as she jumps off of the desk. “Fine!” She grabs her purse and marches towards the door. “But I’m putting these hours on your bill!”
James, smiling like the cat that got the cream, gives Remus an awkward wave before quickly following Lily outside.
Remus shakes his head. James is a good guy, bless him. And actually, it’s not a bad idea, checking out a location beforehand with your client. You know, to see if it has the right feel and atmosphere before you send them on a date there. He knows this really cute restaurant down at fifth street, maybe he should ask Sirius if he’d like-
“Lupin!”
Remus is pulled out of his thoughts by Madame Puddifoot slamming down a form on his desk.
“After you left, I realised that I just couldn’t leave the future of my agency in your incapable hands, so I decided to take it upon myself to organize a Mix and Match Event for Sirius Black! I have already made a list of all members I want to be invited and booked a venue. Now, after the event, Sirius Black will fill out the names of the young men he’d like to see again, and then all you need to do, is set up follow-up dates with the persons whose name Sirius Black has written down. I trust even you can do that much?”
Remus nods dumbly, and Madame Puddifoot gives a satisfied smile before stalking away, leaving Remus to stare at the list like it has personally offended him.
The venue Madame Puddifoot has booked is the lobby of a fancy hotel. The standing tables are covered in crisp white tablecloths with intricate flower arrangements in the middle, waiters are walking around with trays filled with high glasses containing expensive wine or small hors-d’oeuvres, and soft, classical music is playing. The place is fancy, polished and clean.
Exactly the kind of place Sirius hates.
Sirius would’ve preferred a casual pub, Remus thinks as he looks around with frown. Somewhere with pints of beer, fried onion rings, band music playing in the background.
But despite not liking it, Sirius Black fits in perfectly. In his fitted trousers, suit jacket, and long hair tied into a neat, high ponytail, he looks devastatingly handsome. Even the waiters, however professional they may be, are giving him looks. He’s charming, and seems comfortable and at ease, making easy conversation.
Nearby, Sirius is currently talking to Fabian Prewett, both of them smiling and chatting animatedly. Remus scoffs. So Lily thought they’d look good together? Well, he really can’t see it.
“Really?” Fabian smiles up at Sirius. “You drive a motorcycle?”
“I do,” Sirius replies.
“Because a leather jacket looks so good on you?” Fabian asks with a wink, and Remus has to quickly put his glass down, as it makes a dangerous cracking sound as he subconsciously tightened his grip around it.
“Oh, definitely,” Sirius laughs. “But that’s not the only reason. It just gives you this great sense of freedom.”
“I’d love to know how that feels.”
“Do you know how to drive?”
“No,” Fabian replies. “But I’d let you give me a ride any day.”
And that’s just it! If that’s not inappropriate then Remus doesn’t know what is! Surely he must intervene now.
“Fabian,” Remus says coldly, walking up to them. “Could you give me a moment with Sirius please?”
Fabian looks from Remus to Sirius, and back to Remus, an amused expression appearing on his face. “Sure, Remus. Whatever you want,” he says with a smirk as he walks away.
Remus stares after him. Now what was that all about? Then he notices Sirius gazing at him, and all thoughts of Fabian immediately disappear from his mind.
“I, ehm, I just wanted to check how you’re doing?” Remus says. “How are you enjoying getting to know the other men?”
“You know,” Sirius replies with a teasing smile. “It would be easier to get to know them if you would let anyone talk to me for longer than five minutes.”
Remus’ cheeks flush. “Well, that’s... just my job. I need to make sure you don’t get overwhelmed, you know. These events can be a lot.”
Sirius nods. “It is quite overwhelming to think that these amazing men would all be interested in me. Well, my looks and money, at least,” he adds with a shrug.
“I promise you that each member of Madame Puddifoot’s would never-” Remus begins to protest, but Sirius cuts him off.
“It’s okay! Don’t worry, it’s fine. I mean, I went to a dating agency to be set up on dates with men whom I don’t know, and who don’t know anything else about me, so it’s kind of what I signed up for.”
“They might not know much more about you now,” Remus admits. “But once they’ll get to know you, they’ll have so much more and so much better reasons to like you! You’re so funny, incredibly smart, kind...” He trails off as Sirius looks at him with an unreadable expression on his face, and for a moment, they just look at each other.
Then Sirius shakes himself out of it and a clears his throat. “So, how does this thing work? Do I get to hand out roses at the end?”
Remus chuckles. “Nothing that fancy, I’m afraid. You just write down the name of each person you’d like to go on an actual date with on this form and hand it back to me, and I’ll arrange the follow up dates for you.”
“I can do that,” Sirius says with a bright smile as he takes the form from Remus.
I can’t, Remus thinks, reading the piece of paper for what is probably the hundredth time. Well, he can, but he shouldn’t. Should he? It’s probably not just frowned upon, but actually forbidden. Yes, Remus is pretty sure there was something about this sort of thing in the contract he signed when he started working for Madame Puddifoot’s.
But then again, it is his job. The client writes down the names, Remus sets up the dates, plain and simple as that. Madame Puddifoot’s words echo in his head
“All you need to do, is set up follow-up dates with the persons whose name Sirius Black has written down. I trust even you can do that much?”
He can do that much. Madame Puddifoot has been very clear in what she wants him to do, so the least Remus can do, is simply do it. He doesn’t have a choice, really. He has to do his job, after all.
Remus grins broadly as he unlocks his computer and starts typing in the name of his favourite restaurant in the search bar. He glances one more time at piece of paper, the form Sirius Black has filled out, where only one name is written down in his elegant handwriting: Remus Lupin
“Wow!” Sirius exclaims as he steps onto the rooftop terrace and takes in the table setting, the candles, and Remus in his favourite jumper.
“Hi,” Remus says.
“Hi,” Sirius replies.
“I, ehm,” Remus is nervously wringing his hands. “I hope I didn’t misinterpret?”
Sirius barks a laugh. “Remus, I was asked to write down the names of whom I’d like to date, and I only wrote down your name. There’s hardly any room for interpretation.” Then a slightly uncertain look appears on his face. “Though, I know I am your client, and I don’t want you to feel obligated to do anything. I can imagine it’s not-done in your profession, and you don’t want to jeopardize your job. But the truth is, I really like you, and I think you may like me too. The only reason I came to a dating agency is because I was hoping to find someone who can make me feel the way you make me feel, so I thought I at least owed it to myself to try.”
“I took this job because I believed in love,” Remus says slowly. “And I thought that if I could help at least one person find it, it’ll be worth it. So, it would be rather counterproductive to give up on a chance at love in order to keep my job.”
“Love?” Sirius asks, his face lighting up.
“Chance at love,” Remus corrects with a smile. Then he holds out his hand. “If that’s a chance you’re willing to take?”
Sirius doesn’t hesitate for a second as he takes Remus’ hand. “In a heartbeat.”
One year later
“I’m just worried she’s making a mistake,” Lily says, leaning back against the soft cushions of the large suede corner sofa. “And God knows what she sees in him! Vernon Dursley has got to be the most boring person you’re ever going to meet.”
“You’ve always had a different taste than your sister,” Remus says, while taking a chocolate truffle made of rich, Belgian chocolate from the crystal bowl on the table. “In the end, she’s a grown woman and it’s her decision.”
“And it’s such a terrible cliché,” Lily sighs, hugging one of the silk cushions to her chest. “The secretary hooking up with her boss. What will her co-workers say? The whole thing is inappropriate and unprofessional!”
“Lily,” Remus says. “Neither one of us is in any position to judge someone for inappropriate and unprofessional work relations. After all, we both took a job at an exclusive dating agency, snatched up the hottest, richest guys for ourselves, and bailed.”
Lily stares at him in horror. “Oh God, we really are that kind of people, aren’t we?”
Remus nods. “We are.”
Lily looks over at the kitchen, where Sirius is leaning on the kitchen island, looking like a model in an add with his dark hair gracefully falling over his eyes and wearing a white button-down with the top buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, animatedly talking to James, who looks dashingly handsome in his soft cashmere sweater, and has just taken four crystal wine glasses out of the cupboard and is now opening a bottle of wine that most likely costs more than what Remus and Lily used to pay for rent summed up.
“Oh well,” Lily sighs. “It was worth it.”
“So worth it,” Remus agrees, putting another chocolate truffle in his mouth.

Tumblr media
It’s her hair and her eyes today
That just simply take me away
She was beautiful. No, she is beautiful. Maybe more than anyone’s ever given her credit for. Intelligent, cunning, charming, Harry had referred to her in almost all of the sweetest words he could think of in his silent thoughts. [H/L] locks of [H/C] hair that smelled like the sweetest thing ever as she walked down the halls.
He didn’t know what did it for him. Maybe it was her laugh, or maybe the smile she always tried to hide, repeatedly broadcasting it was one of her insecurities. He told himself so many times that he’d at least try to talk to her outside of school projects, maybe ask her out to Hogsmeade.
And the feeling that I’m falling further in love
Makes me shiver, but in a good way
All the times I have sat and stared
As she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair
His mind was full of thoughts, but always of her. One minute he’ll think of how to ask her out, and how to get rid of his feelings the next. As for the latter, this thought would go away quicker than a Snitch would go out of sight as soon as she ran her fingers through her messy hair to tie it up to work on a school activity, using the hair tie she secured with her teeth.
And she purses her lips, bats her eyes, and she plays with me
Sittin’ there, slacked-jaw and nothing to say
He loved the little conversations they had together every single time they shared a class, especially when they were partnered up together. The first time they interacted, it was her doing.
“Hey, Potter.” She had smiled at him ever so brightly. It was a close-lipped smile but it was a smile nonetheless, and he thrived on it for the rest of the day. “Is it true you’re the new Gryffindor Seeker? I don’t mean to pry, though. But congratulations!”
‘Cause I love her with all that I am
And my voice shakes along with my hands
“You too,” he had responded absentmindedly. Her laugh was just as gorgeous, and he didn’t know why she had to cover it with her hand. “Sorry, I’m just groggy.”
“I haven’t really seen what a Quidditch match looks like yet, but I guess we’ll see on your match.”
“Actually, I—” Before she could even respond, Snape walked in, and she straightened up in her seat, having turned away from him already.
‘Cause she’s all that I see and she’s all that I need
And I’m out of my league once again
Whenever he finally mustered up the courage to walk up to her in the present time, his knees would go weak and he was sure it was as if Gilderoy Lockhart had removed his knees this time. He’d dissolve a little bit more when she would ask him if he was alright.
Right now, years have passed, and yet his feelings haven’t. Just the slight mention of her name would suffice to keep his feelings constant.
It’s a masterful melody
When she calls out my name to me
Harry was not a very big fan of his own name, having heard it more than a million times in his lifetime. But when she calls out his name. . . That’s just a different story. He goes rigid, blushing, and everything else in between.
His favorite moment of when she called out his name was when she first watched him play Quidditch, which was also her first time watching Quidditch. “Harry!” She had called out as he stepped into the vast field, Nimbus Two Thousand in hand. “Good luck!”
So he did.
As the world spins around her
She laughs, rolls her eyes
“Miss [Y/L/N],” Snape sneered. “Stop humming, you are not a bee. Reckon you’d like to be one?”
Snape crossed his arms across his chest, triumphant as he said, “Ten points from [Y/H].”
This earned a good amount of groans from the [Y/H] students, worried that it might jeopardize their chance with the House Cup.
And I feel like I’m falling but it’s no surprise
At that point, Harry was worried. Snape might add detention, and that was just no good. He knew she never had detention, and if she did now. . . Well, Merlin.
He expected tears to fall down from her eyes, knowing she was in touch with her emotions and fearing Snape a bit. Instead, she had laughed silently. As much as he feared that Snape might catch her and find this detention-worthy, he found the sight of her amusing.
‘Cause I love her
With all that I am
Harry looked back to when the his name came out of the Goblet of Fire, his eyes searching the tables for her eyes. And he found it — worry from every point, but also confusion. The next time he saw her, he had expected her to ignore him especially after the badges Malfoy made were released.
She handed him a badge. Harry’s eyebrows shot up so high his scar might as well have gotten erased. Hands shaking, he inspected the badge.
“Malfoy stinks?” He read.
“I heard the Colin kid tried to enchant it in the way I was supposed to, but it didn’t work. So I went for the next best thing.” She smiled, patting his shoulder as she turned away from him, head held high. Merlin, his sweat would be enough to fill the lake now.
And my voice shakes along with my hands
Just as he was about to call out to her, Hermione had called out to him. Frustrated at himself once more, he complied, throwing one last glance at her distant figure as she walked further and further away from him.
After he overcame the first task with the Horntail, she ran up to him and gave him a warm congratulations and pinned the Malfoy Stinks badge on him, the two of them sharing snickers and giggles.
This is it, he thought to himself. I’ll finally ask her out to Hogsmeade.
“[Y/N]—”
Once again, as Bagman pulled him away, he found himself being lead away from her and her from him.
‘Cause it’s frightening to be swimming in this strange sea But I’d rather be here than on land
But then the Yule Ball was announced later on, and he knew he had to take this chance with her. Maybe he should have told Ron and Hermione first. But he didn’t want to live with the embarrassment of it if he had been turned down.
Well, that went out of the window when he found out she had said yes to Neville, and so he went with Parvati Patil.
His eyes were fixed on her the entire night, earning several coughs from Parvati. Lovely as his date was, he couldn’t take his eyes off the girl wearing a Victorian gown, only that it had no hulking petticoats underneath. Her hair had been covered in lovely flowers he could not name.
She didn’t have silver hair nor glimmering skin, but he was convinced she was far more beautiful than a veela.
Yes, she’s all that I see and she’s all that I need
He stood from his chair, a loud creak sounding. Nobody seemed to have noticed, so he kept going, prepared to approach the girl busying herself with fixing the flowers on her hair.
It’s her hair and her eyes today
That just simply take me away
As he traipsed toward her, he contemplated what he would say to her. Lovely dress? I like your hair? Would you care for a dance? Dance with me? Will you dance with me?
Maybe about five steps left.
I like you?
And the feeling that I’m falling further in love
Makes me shiver, but in a good way
Four.
I think you’re beau— No, no. You’re beautiful.
Three.
I know Malfoy said I stink, but I don— That was bad.
Two.
[Y/N], I have never bothered to search far and wide for such a thing called love, yet here I am, asking you to dance with me.
All the times I have sat and stared
As she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair
One.
He took a deep breath. She was just within arm’s reach. “[Y/N], I have never—”
But his voice was drowned by the now erupting music coming from the platform once again. The Weird Sisters had started playing a mellow song, starting with a crescendo, and [Y/N] had already encouraged Neville to dance.
As she purses her lips, bats her eyes, and she plays with me
Sittin’ there, slacked-jaw and nothing to say
Brilliant, he said to himself, gulping. As he stood in the middle of the dancing crowd, he catches her eye, and she smiled. Should he smile back? He did, but it looked more like a grimace. To save face, he turned away from her, something bright shining from the corner of his eyes.
On the floor rested a single white flower, its petals looking out of place without resting on [Y/N]’s hair. He crouched on his haunches, holding the flower in his pale hands.
‘Cause I love her with all that I am And my voice shakes along with my hands
As his eyes darted back and forth from her dancing figure to the flower, a thought swallowed him. What if he was the flower himself? Out of his place in a vast space that was out of his league?
Maybe she was too perfect for him, maybe her smiles were too much, and maybe his were too less. He fought the urge to crumple the flower with his hand. It was hers, after all — and he’d never bring himself to break anything that was hers even if she had already broken his heart long before she had a clue.
He watched her lead Neville across the dance floor. It was a rather amusing sight, and no one seemed to be paying enough attention to notice that [Y/N] had her hand resting on Neville’s waist instead. She seemed to be mouthing something under her breath, because a few seconds later, Neville started leading the dance.
‘Cause it’s frightening to be swimming in this strange sea
As the song ended — maybe just paused for a break — he didn’t walk over to her. Instead, he marched hurriedly, almost running the short distance between them, wanting to close it badly. The flower was still in his hand, and she was now within reach.
But I’d rather be here than on land
Say the words, he willed himself. Before he could utter another word, she had already faced him, and he spotted the empty area on the side of her hair that was missing the one flower he held in his hand.
“Erm—” He cleared his throat, not being able to take his eyes off her.
“Did you approach me just so you could lightly cough on me?” A playful smirk painted on her lips.
“Wha—Erm, well, no. I’m— I just wanted to— [Y/N], I have—no, I have never both—”
This is a disaster, this is a disaster, this is a disaster, he kept chanting in his mind. The Time Turner wasn’t there to save him now.
“Woah, easy there, buddy.” [Y/N] giggled. “What’s bothering you?”
You’re too beautiful, and I feel like I’m out of my league whenever I’m with you, he wanted to say. Of course, he couldn’t. So he kept his mouth shut.
Yes, she’s all that I see and she’s all that I need And I’m out of my league once again
Harry gulped. He was face-to-face with her now. He kept his mouth shut as he held up the flower in his hand and her eyes fell to the fragile little thing. “Oh, must’ve dropped it. Could you put it on my hair?”
“Put it on your hair?”
“Yes,” she said, bending a bit just so he could insert it on one of her braids.
“Oh, erm—okay.”
After she tucked a few strands in, the music started playing again, this time more upbeat and jolly. Harry had hoped for a more romantic song but it wouldn’t hurt to keep dancing, right?
The pair just stood there as the crowd proceeded to dance around them in pairs. After about three seconds, she crossed her arms and paused. Not long after, she pulled his hand among the dancing people. “I thought you would’ve asked me to dance, but I guess I sometimes have to take matters into my own hands.” She looked up at him and grinned. “It seems to me that the ‘matter’ I took has stopped working. Let’s dance now, Potter.”
“Wouldn’t Neville mind? Aren’t you—”
“Longbottom? My, my, Mr. Potter, that sounds rather incestuous. Longbottom’s more of like a brother to me.”
“It seems to me that Miss [Y/L/N] is talking rather formally,” he teased.
“Indeed she is.” Then she rested her hands on his waist, ready to lead him into the center of the dance floor.
“Woah, woah, why the waist?” He gently batted her hand away, narrowing his eyes at her.
“Well, you seemed to be chickening out so I had to lead.”
“Hmph,” Harry started. “It seems to me, that lovely Miss [Y/N] [Y/L/N] thinks Mr. Harry Potter cannot dance.”
She scrunched her face, as if deep in thought. “Well, can he?”
“We’ll see.” This time, it was his turn to lead her into the cheerful crowd. For the first time ever, Harry felt satisfied and comfortable, and the doubts he had just a while ago had vanished into thin air.
The pair broke into horrid dances, flailing their arms around that it no longer seemed like dancing, but he was having the time of his life that he couldn’t be bothered to be embarrassed as he felt the judgmental gazes of those who saw them.

My Wand
Tumblr media
Redwood wand with Dragon heartstrings 13 inches Pliant flexible
Tumblr media
REDWOOD Wand (rare)
Favors those who are sturdy, proud, determined, arrogant and multi-talented.
This wand works best with those who are accomplished in all manner of magical skills and talents. However, such wands are less effective when used by someone skilled in a non-wand based art of magic.
It is one of the best wands to use in Dueling spells (defensive spells mostly) and Transfiguration and Dark Arts.
This wand type is seen among all the Houses of Hogwarts, but has a particularly strong affinity with both House Hufflepuff and House Ravenclaw.
Side Note(s) : Wand-quality redwood is in short supply, yet constant demand, due to its reputation for bringing good fortune to its owner. As is usually the case with wandlore, the general populace have the truth back to front: redwood wands are not themselves lucky, but are strongly attracted to witches and wizards who already possess the admirable ability to fall on their feet, to make the right choice, to snatch advantage from catastrophe. The combination of such a witch or wizard with a redwood wand is always intriguing, and many wizards and witches, including Ollivander himself, generally expect to hear of exciting exploits when Ollivander sends this special pairing out from his workshop. Redwood wands are not only extremely hard, but extremely powerful in all wand-based magic. Redwood wands are quite abysmal when used in Potions. Will exclusively bond with an owner that is experienced in wand-based magic.
Tumblr media
Dragon Heartstring Core
Dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells.
Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types.
Although they are the most common core among Dark Wizards and Dark Witches, they are most certainly not their most common users.
Dragon Heartstring cores are by far the most common wand core amongst Slytherins, but their power often bonds well to Gryffindors and Ravenclaws as well .
Known Owners of Dragon Heartstring Wands
Hermione Granger , Viktor Krum , Bellatrix Lestrange , Gilderoy Lockhart , Lucius Malfoy , Minerva McGonagall , Garrick Ollivander , Peter Pettigrew.
Tumblr media
Length 13 inches
" In my experience, longer wands might suit taller wizards, but they tend to be drawn to bigger personalities, and those of a more spacious and dramatic style of magic. ” -‐---------- Ollivander
Example :- Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Lord Voldemort
Tumblr media
Pliant Flexible
A wand with this flexibility will warm up easily to just about anyone; although, its full potential will not be unlocked until its owner has reached his or her full potential as well.
This wand’s talents will depend solely upon the owner’s own talents, and its weaknesses will depend solely upon its owner’s weaknesses.
Pliant wand owners are eager, enthusiastic, and tend to be very easily impressed and/or naive.
They often have a zest for life that is rare and unrivaled in most populations.
" In my experience, longer wands might suit taller wizards, but they tend to be drawn to bigger personalities, and those of a more spacious and dramatic style of magic.”
