The best part about her job as a lifeguard was that for the most part she was able to spend her days lounging on the beach without any drama to speak of. It was an easy job until it wasn't and that morning, it hadn't been easy at all. An ill timed wave and a careless tourist had resulted in Aliye rushing from her spot on the sand and out into the frigid water to pull the man to safety. The drama of it all had taken up most of the morning and by the time she was off, she was stressed, covered in sand, and had seaweed falling out of her hair. Looking a mess, she opted not to trek back to her boat to clean up before meeting up with Hazal for lunch, showing up instead looking like a monster that had just crawled out of the ocean. "Haze, hey, sorry I'm late," she apologized as she rushed in, her usual ten minutes late, shifting to give Hazal a quick hug. Pulling back, her face turned to a cringe when she saw the seaweed she'd left behind on Hazal's shoulder, reaching to pick it off with an apologetic shrug. "Long morning on the shore. You'd look good with seaweed hair, though, for the record. Super cute."

I get an automatic best friend who dotes and protects me, and the hardest thing is having the same face—because we get confused as each other all the time. Personally speaking, I see the differences, but others don't, which is so wild to me.

“thank you so much for this, hazal,” leon smiles as he finds her on his way backstage. he’s got a guitar case in his hand, happy that he’s finally getting back into playing live. it’s not like he hasn’t done it in a while. just a few weeks ago he was playing shows in small venues with his band, temptation. but tonight it’s just him. “imma play some new tunes if that’s alright with you. but i won’t leave out moodswings,” it’s the only hit the band has had so far. local radios play it and they’ve had a few interviews over the month they were on the road. “so don’t worry,” he grins.

leon had called hazal, asking her to come over. he’s feeling shitty and he can’t wait for her to arrive. he’s been alone with his thoughts for too many hours and he feels like he’s going insane. why did she leave him? why did she disappear like that? when he hears the doorbell, leon stands up from his bed. he’d been laying on it all day. opening the door, he can’t even muster the energy to say well, anything. he just shakes his head, hoping hazal will someone understand him.

“thanks for coming. again,” leon greets hazal as he steps aside for her to come in. he closes the door behind him and walks to his bedroom. the apartment is clean and nice. a big difference since his friend was here last time. “i wanna show you something. it’s this new artist i’m producing,” he gestures for her to follow him. once inside, the blond goes to his desk, looking for the file in his laptop. it’s just an excuse, of course. he didn’t want to tell her over the phone. “and by the way, i’m done being emo,” he presses play and the new track he’s been working on with a new indie-pop artist, sounds through his speakers. “and you were right. she was scared.” he means salem.
