Caelus chuckles, leaning in to return the kiss. "You seem pretty happy today. Been having a good day, I take it?" Stealing another kiss, he hums softly. "Missed you while I was gone."

           ・⊱ A groan left Jing Yuan's lips as his hand clumsily tapped the alarm clock. It was time to start the day, as always...even when he wanted the very opposite of that.

           He rolled back over onto his side, wrapping his arms a little more securely around Caelus as he buried his face into his shoulder. Would let his yet sleep-addled mind rest a little longer, bask in the other's soothing warmth and scent.

           Yeah...the last thing he wanted to do was get out of bed right now. Not when this was so much nicer.

           While he would typically inevitably drag himself out of bed and continue his routine as always, prompted by sense of duty and ingrained habit alike, this time was different. This time, he had Caelus with him. And, oh, how happy he'd been when the young Trailblazer had humored him enough to stay. To cut that short now...really, he couldn't bring himself to let that happen.

           Surely, even the General of the Luofu could to take one day off, right?

I can't help that I'm so easily excited during a make out because it's been so long. Not like your texts earlier and while I was gone helped a lot too.. it sucks when my mind wanders and I've gotta be alone." Though despite the pout, it was clear he wasn't upset. Missing his boyfriend for so long in fact just had him more easily aroused when they did get to extra events.

"Unfair, sugar when do I ever play so unfairly~?" But- really Caelus was speaking the truth. Even if for just a few seconds when they were together, Eros took every chance he could to rile the man up. From the gentles of touches to the way he trailed kisses down his beloved's jaw. A grin on his features as he leaned back. Giving a false, defeated sigh.

"Aww, baby..~. If y'want me t' jus' let ya take me, y'jus' have t' ask~. Y'know that, right~?"

⠀⠀⠀⠀Well, this was unexpected. For once, the Emanator is genuinely brought to a pause after this particular encounter. She got an answer, one that says everything she needs to know...

⠀⠀⠀⠀But at the end of the day, she doesn't understand it either. No matter how she looks at it, this quality stands against her understanding. Another human- No, he's something else, isn't he? A calamity opposite herself, one who's path could realistically invalidate her own... Is that why this confuses her so?

⠀⠀⠀⠀This direction she treads eludes her understanding, but she's already committed to it. Perhaps in time, she will understand these painfully human emotions she is now faced with.

Ratio's hand stills in its writing, even if only momentarily, at the question. If Caelus notices, Ratio makes no acknowledgement of the fact; the sudden set of his jaw, too, seems to be enough of a warning against bringing it up.

Maybe asking the question was a bad idea, for the good doctor rests a sharp and cold gaze on him that burns like frostbite -- but then in the next moment the intensity dials back down to its usual (and still uncomfortable) level.

"I believe Screwllum should have already informed you that the Divergent Universe is an independent project to the Simulated Universe, unlike the expansion modules serving to further the Geniuses' original goal. Therefore you may consider it entirely separate from the Simulated Universe's scope of study -- a relief for myself, I might add, for the complete lack of interest from Herta, Ruan Mei, and Stephen means I don't have to work with them." Not that they'd have any interest in working with him either. "That is to say, I'm not involved with the Simulated Universe, and I don't intend to be."

It seems as though that's the end of it as the scholar sets his mouth into a thin line, but a heartbeat later he sighs, raising a hand to rub at his temple. When he speaks again, his tone is considerably less harsh.

"...As for my collaboration with Screwllum, that was his idea. He approached me about the project first. You're better off asking him, rather than me; I only agreed to his proposal."

A sigh, not out of discontent, but rather a thinking breath that aired out the words unfit for this conversation, escaped from the former Herrscher of Reason. It made perfect sense that Caelus felt anxiety - who wouldn't when something so imposing and threatening lay in wait for an inevitable detonation? It would, rather, be highly concerning if Caelus did not worry about the Stellaron. However — for now — he may rest assured that the safety of himself and those around him is not being threatened as of this moment. Welt had made sure of that on the Herta Space Station. It lay sealed, although, not forever.

Before he could answer, the following request arrived as an unsuspected visitor. Welt had never wanted to encroach on any boundaries, therefore had never initiated any needless physical interaction. In fact, he -himself- was quite content living without it. However, that did not mean he would deny a boy in need of the comfort the embrace of a trusted confedant brought. Adjusting his glasses using his index and middlefinger, Welt nodded and -gently- wrapped both arms around Caelus, holding him close. Truth be told, fatherly instincts were at work here, this was not the first time he had comforted a youth. ❛ ... Caelus, I can only promise you that, right now and for some time to come, the Stellaron is of no threat to our safety. However, we must continue to seek for a more permanent solution. We will find it, and until we do, I will proactively re-seal the Stellaron, should it act up. ❜

Caelus can't help but notice the way Kaveh freezes and bites his lip. Luckily, any of the others near them seem too focused on details and deciding how to get the materials. "Kaveh? You okay? You seem a bit red.." Partially out of concern, though Caelus would be lying if he said part of it wasn't a tease either.

・⊱ Downtime this peaceful was always greatly appreciated, especially given his position on the Luofu. And being able to spend that free time with dear friends from the Express, well, who could ask for more?

Currently, he would enjoy a nice cup of tea alongside the Trailblazer, eager to catch up on their latest venture. Truly, luck would favor them to be able to traverse the cosmos so freely. If only he could do the same—

Even while momentarily lost in thought, a slight movement would catch his eyes, the teacup halting just at his lips.

In it moving ever closer, Jing Yuan turned, the question dying on his tongue as he’d felt his heart stutter. Eyes widened in surprise briefly, gaze flickering as he’d take in their proximity—a breath, two—before a curious, yet warm fondness would flicker across his features in its place. 

“Apologies.” A hand moved, to gently ruffle the others hair as he’d let a soft laugh leave him. “I hope I didn’t startle you.”
