for: @kitsantoss where: 90s night @ songbirds and sangria
karaoke limited to the music of the 90s felt to daniel like someone had concocted the worst possible night out ever -- just for him. his least favourite decade for music ( excluding several of his dearest favourites ) and the obligation to sing in front of a crowd, which he had expertly avoided. blending into the background came in handy when he decided he'd been there long enough for leaving not to seem rude and accordingly made a beeline for the bar's exit. focused too much on staying upright ( he'd just learned the house sangria was lethal stuff ) and not being spotted, he walked smack-bang straight into another soul. "oh, shit." righting himself just before he could fall and wishing the ground would swallow him whole, danny offered an extremely apologetic smile and plainly mortified look offered to the other. "i'm so fuckin' sorry, man... are you good? can i buy you another drink or somethin'?" he swallowed thickly, mentally adding 'like a shirt to replace the one i've just ruined with alcohol' and cursing.

Soc.

Turnê Mirantes do Sul
Rio Minador
Orleans-SC

My dear Barangay 315
by Alyana Gail M. Anyayahan C-PHA-10
Sabi nga nila “Prevention is better than cure”.

Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management
Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management
Everyone has a right to have a safe and secure environment. But what do we do in times of disaster, unexpected accidents, extreme calamities, and more kind of disasters?
As a citizen of our community and an NSTP student of the University of Santo Tomas. I must be aware and knowledgeable of what is happening around me.
That is why I coordinate with our barangay officials to know the current status of my community especially on the Disaster Risk Reduction Management of the barangay and how effectively they implement it.
Last December 14, I’ve done a barangay kwentuhan with our barangay official and ask for questions about the current situation of the residents and their level readiness when disaster and calamities arrive. To know the current progress and situation of their community about Disaster Risk Reduction Management the following topics are discussed:
Hazard Identification
According to Sec. Estrella C. Guanzon their Barangay just like any other Barangays faces many challenges and problems. To lessen the problems and challenges in their barangay they do some activities to prevent disasters like identifying hazards. To identify hazards, their barangay is assigning some people in their communities to report any possible hazards in their perspective area. They also do inspection every week to check any possible hazards.
Vulnerability, Elements and People at Risk Assessment
Sec. Guanzon said that their barangay is fortunate because ever since she starts her work in their barangay community there is still no record or report of fire incident in their community. As possible as can they want to maintain this. And to prevent disasters like fire incidents they do seminars in their community to make their residents knowledgeable about the possible risk and disaster in their community. According to Sec. Guanzon the people which is most vulnerable in their community is the people who lived at a small house that has weak foundation and they are more prone to disasters because their house itself is a hazard.
They promote that each family in their community to have GO BAGS which contains clothes, foods and water (good for 3 days), first aid kit, and important documents.
Capacity and Disaster Management Assessment
To manage risk in their community they always inform their residents to be always ready in any type of disasters and calamities. In order for the people to be ready the barangay officials are ensuring that their people are knowledgeable about these things. Therefore, they are having program and activities like earthquake drill, fire drill, skills/demonstration and mass casualty Incident, first aid kit lectures and more.
Walk in community
While walking in the community I observe many hazards that can cause damages if not taken action, but the barangay assures that they are doing something to resolve these kinds of problems.
Hazardous places
The small houses in the community that has weak foundation which is prone to any type of disaster and calamities.
Best practices
Barangay 16 has a project called “GO BAG” which promotes every family in their barangay to have at least 1 GO BAG which is helpful in any kind of disasters and calamities. The Go Bag contains clothes, foods and water (good for 3 days), first aid kit, and important documents. These necessary things will help each family to survive any disaster and calamities.

Hawak Kamay: A DRRM Practices and Preparations
nebulizer
fire extinguisher
first aid kit
megaphone
bp apparatus
flashlight

House Block stairs ! House Block, our new collaborative project at @auar__ Labs @bartlettarchucl opens to the public next Thursday 22 April in Clapton, east London for an opening evening! House Block asks what our environment could look like if our homes were not static structures, but could evolve over time; what if there was no set design, but an ecology of elements that constantly reorganise through automation? Could we consider a future that democratises access to building systems, one that alleviates the housing crisis and supports more equitable labour practices threatened by ever increasing automation? Currently under construction on Bakers Hill, Clapton, House Block is designed and built using a discrete housing system, a kit of parts analogous to lego, known as Block Type A. Each block is milled from a single sheet of plywood using CNC machines and assembled by hand, then post-tensioned. These are considered to be ‘discrete’ because the blocks are not fixed, instead offering the opportunity to be assembled, dismantled, reconfigured and reassembled over and over again. Four takeovers of House Block by our partners @thebuildingcentre with @studiobark, @gonzaloherrero and Pati Santos, L U C I N E and @studiowaynemcgregor will take place over the next month! Paid taster sessions are available for the public to get involved in the construction of the takeovers. See our website for more info or the press release on the Bartlett website or to register for the opening evening! #community #housing #prototype #futures #design #collaboration #architecture #discrete @next_top_architects @superarchitects @parametric.architecture #automation @hackneycouncil #modular #modulararchitecture #participatorydesign #participation #architectureschool (at Hackney, London UK) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNsu6ymM5yd/?igshid=1lknj38uhv7qr
