     there was a saying that rumors spread around like wildfire. it was true on the girl’s part, given she’d heard quite a bit about a newcomer - but didn’t quite remember what the occupation was. though something did open its doors for the first time in storybrooke, maine. belle hadn’t the time to find out yet.

     belle’s job was to maintain the library that was built in the main crossroads of the small town. so far, she seemed to have done a fairly good job at keeping it tidy (for the most part, with curses and magic-based attacks, who knows which window could break next), but she herself would be guilty as charged for taking a book off a shelf and reading it to pass the time. and that’s exactly what she had done, given that the library was... well, rather vacant.

     at least till she heard the bell go off, alarming her that someone was entering the building. putting a plastic bookmark to save her place in the fantasy novel she had picked up, belle placed it aside, hazel eyes watching as a stranger would make his way in with ease. 

     the woman would give the newcomer some time to adjust to the quiet environment of the library, mentally prepping herself to answer whatever queries he had. “ you must be a new face, “ she speaks up, hoping not to startle the other, “ let me know if you have any questions. i’ll answer to the best of my ability. “
