Thinking about spicynoodle angst you think the two still have mementos laying around, stashed away somewhere forgotten? Old drawings and gifts or even clothing from when they were younger?

One day they individually find something while cleaning and are painfully reminded of all the happy memories associated with the item(s)

Mk finding an old friendship bracelet or other momento given to him by red and slowly breaking down quietly into tears.

Redson finding a box full of old drawings from mk, visibly shaking from the overwhelming emotions of sadness and anger/guilt from said sadness and tears. She wants to burn them and be done with this painful reminder but.. for some reason he just can't bring himself too.

Neither can bear to get rid of the objects symbolizing a cherish chapter of there youth, but can't stand to look at them either. So the objects get hidden away again.

Redson steps away from the broken glass, a piece is stuck in his hand from trying to catch it. He watches his blood drip down his palm and fall into the puddle of water among the shattered remains of the vase.

It wasnt the grandest vase, it didnt have as much detail as the other within his families castle did, and it certainly wasnt very expensive.

But he liked it.

he chose it.

Just like the flowers that lay on the ground.

Yellow and red Alstroemeria.

Flowers with a gradient of yellow and red on their soft petals, a few held black spots and its petals curled up an outwards.

A flower of devotion, a flower of healing.

A flower of friendship.

Did he know what they meant when he picked them? did he know what they would mean to her now? how they have lasted for so long Redson doesnt know. its a mystery just as he is. everything about him makes her head hurt with too many spiraling thoughts.

Redson picks out the glass from his hand and he drops it on the ground.

he kneels down and picks up the three flowers Liu er Xiaotian had given him. tall, vibrant and full of life. just like the day he had given Redson these blossomed flowers.

she walks away from the shattered vase and leaves it for the servants to clean.
