Boredom hit like a hunger pang after a full day without a meal, though Quentin's only outward reaction was an exaggerated sigh. His gaze cast around the foyer he was standing in, taking not of the unusual emptiness as he waited for the elevator. Considering Fibonacci's compact and downright bustling environment, the lack of prospective passengers sparked interest.

Turning his head to survey the only other person in the queue, Quentin forwent surreptitious glances in favour of an obvious once-over of the brunet. Unfortunately the stranger's appearance was minimally interesting, however that only made his preemptive planning more tempting.

Once the elevator arrived on their floor and opened up to reveal an empty carriage, Quentin walked in first and waited by the button panel as the other man entered behind him. As soon as the doors closed, he turned to the stranger with a cheeky grin and asked, "You ever been to the two-hundred-fiftieth floor?" His eyebrows waggled up and down. "Do you wanna go now?"

a sparkly, radiant, powerful-looking gem... that can only mean one thing. the hedgehog isn't wasting any time with introductions-- this could be a huge breakthrough if he's on the right track!

Second day in Isola and... Liu'er is already up to mischief. Just harmless fun! Normally, he wouldn't pass time doing something like this... But it's something Shihou would probably come up with.

He found this comfy little hiding spot in the park— he was delighted to learn that green spaces existed even in Fibonacci— perched in a tree with branches that reached across the paths. Every time someone sat down on the nearby bench, he'd quickly dart down to nab something. A hat, a pair of those strange dark-tinted glasses, anything small and seemingly easy to grab. He'd wait to see how long it'd take for them to notice. Some of the reactions were fun.

And now, from the stranger that seemed to have sat down in order to open his sketch book... The young monkey nabs his eraser before scurrying back onto his perch. And waits.

halloween is a decent holiday, he decides. it reminds him much of certain festivals back home, the ones with their own costumes and days upon days of revelry and free food. and plenty of drink. swap that out for a night of free sweets and watching people get the shit scared out of them and it's almost the same. more fit for a child, perhaps, but zevran is having a good time nevertheless. he plucks another couple of the colorfully wrapped candies from a bowl nearby.

"Here," he offers one to the young man. "Treat. Unless, of course, you'd prefer a trick?" he smiles, looking all the world like the charming rogue he is.

Idle hands were proposed to be the devil's workshop, but what of the devil herself's idle hands? A lifetime bedridden, to then be thrust into an endless time loop left little time for seeking the mundane, but the mundane was all that remained here in this city.

So. . . Now what?

Perhaps the other residents held the key, or some idea of how to waste away the hours beyond the walls of her room. Swallowing her anxieties, she stepped towards the boy seated in the grass sketching, trying to mask the shaking of her hands by brushing them against her skirt.

❝Where is that supposed to go?❞ The loud question came from over the man's shoulder where Sera had been lurking for a solid few minutes as she watched him sketch out a few different designs. Her voice wasn't judgmental despite having surmised some of the images were of the adult variety. In fact, she held an astonishment for the creativity.

Her eyebrows rose higher and higher as she waited for a reply, her mind supplying a multitude of failed attempts to imagine the use of the toy.

Eiden had been rather persistent on going, even though Jill had said she was more than capable of going alone. Perhaps it was because he didn’t want to feel useless amidst all the chaos – That was something she could relate to, unfortunately. She eventually got him to agree that he could go as long as he listened to her very carefully and followed her instructions if they were to run into any latchers.

“When we get there, I’ll stand guard while you find the supplies. Do you already know the way?”

It's a good thing Donnie almost always has his phone in hand cause otherwise he might have missed it when this guy trips on the sidewalk and spills his coffee and pastries everywhere in a glorious foamy and flaky mess. He didn't miss it though. He has it right here, in crisp 4K quality.

Arms spread out in an attempt to keep her balance, Ryne keeps her gaze trained firmly on the ground before her as she slowly attempts to make her way across the skating rink. She had never done something like this before, and the stories she heard from other citizens sounded so promising that she made her way to Fibonacci just to try it.

Unfortunately, skating is not as easy as it seems. When she moves one foot forward, she immediately feels that she is going to lose what little control she has. The guard rails would be more helpful, she defeatedly decides. Up until this moment, she had thought that she'd pick up on it rather quickly.

A sigh escapes from her, and she finally looks up -- Just in time to see that she is headed right for someone, albeit at slower speed than others around them. Her eyes widen in surprise and she tries to change course, which only results in her losing balance, arms windmilling in an attempt to not fall.

Amidst the raging snowball fight that was unfolding before him, Lloyd noticed a familiar face in the crowd in need, and acted without so much as a second thought. Grabbing the plastic sled he’d been using as a shield, the brunette slid across the slippery surface; blocking the onslaught of snowballs from absolutely pummelling Eiden. When they died down for just a brief moment, he turned to the other; offering him a hand off the ground.

“You alright, Eiden? I figured you’d be good at this sort of-- whoa!” and there went another snowball, flying right over Lloyd’s head. “C’mon, I made a fort over there we can hide behind! Let’s run!”

Something is very wrong. He thought he was feeling weak after fighting the dragon, but this is even worse. Not to mention he has no idea where he even is, or where his fortress is. The only clue he has is the Eliacube held in his hands, pulsating weakly as if all the enerrgy he's been feeding it for centuries is gone. He holds the cube tighter, panic rising as he barely feels any resistance from the thing, until it responds to him in a quiet voice.

Calm down, Noximillien. The power you gathered is still there, but it is being... obstructed somehow.

The cube's aura is weak as well but the words it sends to him, however quiet, are soothing as always. Right, now is not time to panic. He just needs some answers. And while he is not as strong as usual, he is still not powerless.

In a flash of blue light, the man teleports next to a random stranger and grabs him by the shoulder. Another flash and both of them are back to the edge of the hole. Well, Nox is, the other guy is actually dangling over the hole, held up by his arm.
