no ano anterior, tinham passado seu aniversário juntos. neste ano, só o que tinha para ancorá-lo na lembrança de katrina era a foto na parede de seu quarto, vandalizada por ambos em cada uma de suas visitas, e o cover idiota que tocou na guitarra em sua homenagem.

is the comparison / parallel gifset of adar and gil-galad making me crazy? the fact that elf!adar looks eerily like the fucking HIGH KING, and ruler of Lindon? no, i'm totally normal and not insane.

it's also so not my favorite thing that they treat adar as just as ugly and unsightly as his children, while he himself has found the beauty enough in said children that he has no need of shame in sharing their likeness, and to be "beautiful" again would be meaningless. that being an elf would be meaningless, because he had not experienced meaningful love, or purpose until he had transformed.

the implications that the deceiver saw into adar's mind, and all he saw was the desire for children. not an army of children, not lordship or leadership or title. he desired above all, unconditional and unbreaking love and loyalty - not one sided.

Meet the muse;

their voice:

Shiloh's voice is very stable. It's a bit soft, but he has a rumbley undertone to it. Very warm and welcoming sort of cadence. Has a lisp he never truly grew out of and never paid it enough mind to it train it away. It is thankfully not a hard s sound so it can go unnoticed.

their smile:

Shows all his teeth. It's a bit awkward but it's endearing. Does not have very prominent canines but you'll see them. A habit he hasn't broken is using his mouth to communicate. Grimacing/frowning or twisting his mouth to get a sentiment across without words.

their greatest achievement:

Convincing his father to let him step out of the limelight. In every verse he finds a way to slip out of his 'first born' duties. Instead of being the throne's heir he helps assist K'in in that regard, instead of being the face of the modelling business he helps in hiring designers and such and instead of being connected to the mafia he's left K'in to be sucked into it in favour of a quiet life. He's quite proud of taking care of himself.

their shortcomings:

He can't function with too many eyes on him. He can work a crowd if he has to but his discomfort is prevalent and he is awkward if it lasts too long.

how they deal with grief:

He is very open about his emotions actually. He will cry and he'll walk around with the red and puffy eyes if he has to. There's no shame in feeling the extent of your sorrow to him. The less you keep it in the less likely it is to fester.

how they like to dress:

what they like to eat:

He really likes seafood. Flour based things as well. Seafood and pasta is always good for him, with a fresh salad of some kind as well.

their family life:

He and his father have their tension but it doesn't affect how he moves around a room if he's in it. He's a happy, non-overbearing mommy's boy and a loving older brother (if he says so himself)

their romantic life:

He's only had a few partners in his past but none sticked but they all ended relatively amicably. He's friends with a few of them still.

an embarrassing memory:

Got caught in his mother's wardrobe as a teen wearing her night gown and head covering by a few knights patrolling the wing. They never made fun of him, wouldn't dare, but their faces haunt him at times.

how they react to burning their tongue w/ food:

He flinches. Sighs a breath through his nose and tries again after blowing. It's not his food's fault that he was too eager

rey is absolutely audhd, or on the spectrum. she has a lot of the traits that women/girls have when they've grown up masking for their entire lives bc they were overlooked or not diagnosed.

masking. absolutely. around people, rey is always masking, esp. in the resistance when she's introduced to people she doesn't know. her life prior (on jakku) was constant masking until she was in her home and by herself. rey also realizes she doesn't have much of an identity following tros.

sensory issues. this really gets worse when she gains force abilities bc it never turns off ( in prequels era where she always has them it's more of a constant thing that she deals with to the point of breaking down ). doesn't have sensory issues with food bc of how she grew up HUNGRY and will eat anything put in front of her.

HIGH EMPATHY to the point of being emotionally overwhelmed. she can have a deep understanding of other peoples emotions except for her own, which she struggles with and typically doesn't realize how she's feeling until her body is reacting ( meltdown, crying, that feeling in your throat when you feel like you have to cry ... ) she also feels other peoples physical pain as if it were her own.

mimicking or imitating other people in social situations, esp. when she's unsure about what to do.

BURNOUT. she's always exhausted and doesn't realize it until after tros. post order 66 au she's quite literally experiencing burnout and high masking at the same time due to never being able to stop. she's always moving forward and pushing herself.

special interest + info dumping !! esp. mechanics of things, spaceships, droids. she was literally sneaking onto ships on jakku just to read the manuals. also, she loves mechanics and droids because they're easier to understand. they have a manual, it's very black and white and straightforward. she would've been considered gifted in a modern setting but likely would've hit burnout in high school / college.

other misc things : terrible time blindness, random bursts of energy, social cues are lost on her, prefers routine but also makes impulsive decisions but also hates when those impulsive decisions are cancelled, not an organized person but there is an order to her chaos, gender dysphoria.
