Hello, I hope it doesn't come across as rude because I love your fics and your versions of Michael and Lucifer! I was just wondering if you could maybe make up your own ship name/tag for the Michael/Lucifer ship of your verse..? See, this ship has different tags based on the fandom; ineffable rivals (good omens), obey Michael x lucifer, dominion & legion Michael/Lucifer, abm Lucifer x michael, Michael Demiurgos/Lucifer Morningstar.... but Michifer was intended to be about Michael and Lucifer from spn specifically

Good afternoon and happy belated New Year!

I received this from you about a week ago but didn't know how to approach it for a second because this is a very unique situation I find myself in.

But now I've had time to kind of think about this and I want to respond (first by saying thank you, very kind of you that you enjoy my work),

Second, thanks for sending this in and letting me know #michifer is a specific tag for specific fandoms,

but third, and I'm posing this to the fandom folk by tagging it because I need help understanding something: when is it or is it not okay to tag something within your fandom? For example, I try pretty hard not to tag ANYTHING of mine as #spn or #obeyme UNLESS I think it would appeal to you. For me, creating a 'hivemind' means I kind of want the SPN and Obey Me and (insert fandom here) who likes Michael/Lucifer to jump in on this because I'm hoping that encourages talkback and other creative responses.

A more concrete example that I ran into recently is that I cross-tag the most with the Lucifer Netflix fandom. I have been tagging that one in particular BECAUSE the work I'm doing is riffing some off of its theory, so in this sense, I want talkback from fans about the lore I'm utilizing.

Either way, thanks for opening up some dialogue for me. I haven't used Tumblr in some time but even when I did, I was never in this part of the fandom so hearing there's at least 6 different tags for one ship kind of blows my mind.

(P.S. if you DO happen to see something of mine land in the michifer tag again going forward than it was something that published from my website and I autotag. I can fix it going forward.)

i just found out the jp fandom calls captain cuttlefish and octavio おつまみ組 (otsumami-gumi) literally “small dishes you eat with alcohol-duo” because their names in japanese refer to two such snacks (dried squid and octopus with wasabi) WHICH IS SO CUTE TO ME…

Even though there's no art portion (bash or fight) to @stranglethorn-bonfire-bash this year, I still wanted to make a quick look for it. This year's theme is Celestial, but the heavens forbid me to put Andrea in anything but the comfiest beachwear possible!

Welllllll... I suppose that's only partly true; a dark button-up shirt wouldn't be the comfiest in direct sunlight, but we'll make an allowance. Just this once. :P

fantasy verse rambling

ryu's memories are really warped in this verse because they're a blend and clash between two different universe's versions of herself. the strangest things may bring her to tears or make her incredibly happy, but there's no surface memory to attach it to because her psyche is very distorted. like most things that screw with time, she attracts a lot of oddities. strange creatures that feel very detached from the world itself. because it's magic that tethered her there, it protects her in ways. it's sealed her memories to prevent her brain from literally shattering, otherwise she'd just be spiraling back and forth between the memories of people that have died in her universe but exist perfectly fine in this universe. the magic also gives her physical ailments and a slight power buff. she's still human but she has natural enhanced strength and an affinity for wind magic. it's not something she uses often because though she has an affinity for it, it drains her VERY rapidly. its supercharged just because of the other magic, but once she does something its lights out for her. other magically inclined people can probably sense something is not quite right with her/know she has some sort of forbidden spell, but they'd likely be unable to fix it. and if they did it might literally fry her brain/kill her. she's typically sent to this universe on her own, but i always think its a fun plot point that someone else she cares about was ported too, but they actually keep their memories and know the Gods that killed that universe seek to kill them both. so its just this fight of 'please believe me, we know each other!' i also like it in the reverse too.

thinking writing stuff.

tackling some subjects, specifically trans and race, is a difficult thing for me, despite being hispanic, and trying to understand trans identity.

not every person has the same experience, so whether i do a good job writing it could be subjective, no matter how much i try to study and understand people of all sorts. i mostly write fluff and stuff, and adventure and romance, and just people with complicated lives dealing with their complicated matters as best as they can.

but i dont want to subconsciously do something that would cause a major outrage. growing up the way i did, some slang is rather common, and some phrases as well. for example, im often called caramel skin by my sister, which i see as an endearing phrase and compliment, but its not exactly a good thing for others to have their skin compared to food and sweets for different reasons.

so i will keep that out of my stories, and just hope i can write about a person skin color and background well.

same goes for gender identity.

and other things i have not talked about yet, such as disabilities.

Things were fairly quiet on the island. Nothing out of the ordinary was ever reported through the radios and televisions. So rumors are often spread to spread some excitement in peoples lives.

Some say that an old man who lived in some run down house was taken away, then was found dead in some ditch, because he owed some debts to some gangs. Others share a tale that a middle aged women was a serial killer, who never left her house out of fear of being caught with skeletons literally in her closet.

But these were false.

Well, at least they were announced to be false by the police that keeps that island safe.

Only because a single man, who ran a small business, paid them to do so.

Jack Walker, a middle aged man, with salt and pepper hair, and a scruffy beard, lives a rather decent life. No spouse, no children, just money and work to keep him alive. He didn't care too much about what others think, but he prefer to be on the low to keep doing business of the unsavory kind.

No one really knew him other than that handsome rich man who lives by himself in a modest house. Tall, broad shouldered, muscles, and brown skin covered in tattoos. A mysterious man with a mysterious background.

And he does his best to keep the strange and scary under wraps in this island.

Where bronze machinery keeps the city alive, with steam, coal, and gas.

And under the cobbled streets are strange creatures that Jack bargains with to keep things quiet.

Unfortunately, not all would obey, so he has to hire help to keep them in line. People who are similar to those underground creatures.
