a/n: Where is the Luke Riordan fanfic?? Like I was shocked cuz where is my sexy flame boy, like come on, you guys are ghosting me with this shit like please more Luke fanfic.
warning: drugs, smut, p in the v, penetrating, protection used, orgasm, hookup implied, protection used, party sex, alcohol mention, some cheating, maybe a rebound (?). *Luke and Cate did break up, so luke baby is alive 💓💗💞.
pairing: Luke Riordan x fem!reader
word counter: 2.2k
Parties weren't my thing, well I would to some of them if my friends asked or were going, but I would be probably just drinking something or on my phone scrolling on my Instagram feed. But, for right now I was dressing up for it, and one of my friends was going. She was pretty popular around campus, she was blonde pretty, with nice brown eyes. Her name was Harper.
I was at my vanity fixing my top, it was a Halloween party. Fixing the top, adjusting the strings, tightening it up. It was a little too tight, looking at the mirror. My bosom was almost spilling out, rubbing my sides. I was thinking of doing some costumes from Legally Blonde. You know when Elle gets tricked into wearing a costume to some party. I was already in the hot pink tights, just missing some bunny ears. I dust some light blush on my cheeks, eyeliner, and some gloss, and put my hair in a half down and half up.
I had some pink high heels in my closet to wear, checking the time it was about 7:50 pm, the party started at 8 and probably would last until the morning hours of 2 or 3 am. I applied some mascara onto my lashes, looking at the mirror and the compact mirror in my hand.
I put my bunny ears on my head, brushed the sides of my hair, and put some red lipstick and some gloss on top. Looking into the mirror, as I tried to pose to be more confident for the party. Harper and I were going to match in some type of way, she was going to be some Playboy costume, so we would have the same bunny aesthetic. Was it too much, I stood up and spun around in my mirror. I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer and change, so I was going to wear it. I walked into my closet, taking out a long pink fluffy jacket to match my outfit, and wearing my heels. Standing a bit taller, it was a lot. I felt some buzzing from my phone, opening it and looking through messages.
Harper: Y/N, I'm at my car right now, you almost done with your costume. - sent
Y/N: Yeah, I'm done, im going to be down in 2 minutes - sent
Harper: Alright - sent
...
I zipped up my jacket, got my dorm keys and my ID into my bag, put it on my shoulder as I opened the door, and walked out. A few people were outside, studying for a bit. I felt a little naked in this costume, crossing my fingers that it wasn't cold outside. I went down the stairs to the Polarity statue, where Harper was sitting in my car, waiting. "Harper!" I yelled, she got off of her phone, and exclaimed back, smiling. "Omg, you actually wore it" She looked at me, "Yeah, It's a little tight but It looks good right," I said
"Of course" She smiled, and to her promise, she was wearing a Playboy costume hers was tighter than mine and revealed more skin, but that was Harper's nature. "Come on, let's go!" She pulled me by my hands and we got into her car and drove off. I was hoping we could get into our dorms without getting into too much trouble. The drive wasn't long, about 20 minutes and we were there at the party. Some sororities house, some red solo cups on the grass, some people already outside making out and whatnot, "Come on, Y/N, don't just stand there" She exclaimed, taking my hand and we walked into the house.
I knew, almost like I predicted it. It smelt like liquor, perfume, sweat, and a bunch of other smells, some people in their costumes, some of the seven, some of Marvel or D.C. superheroes, and others from some horror movies. I turned to my side and Harper was already gone, 'Fuck' I whispered, before walking to some bar in the kitchen and sitting down on the stools. There was a bartender there serving some drinks as people danced away. "Can I get a piña colada?" I asked before the worker left to make the drink, I looked at the dance floor. Bodies rubbed on bodies, it was a scene I guess. Looked like everyone was enjoying themselves except me, but it was just the usual. Hearing the glass on the table, I took it and drank it whole, sitting myself as I listened to my thoughts.
I heard a glass colliding with the wooden counter of the bar and looked to the side to see someone familiar. It would be weird to stare, wouldn't it, but I wore it was someone you knew or saw before.
I tried to peep again but failed to see anything else on the person's face. This was awkward, very awkward. Before I heard the person talk up, "So, what are you doing here?" He asked, looking directly at me.
'Holy Shit' it was Luke, Luke Riordan like the guy who is like the number one. Golden Boy, Golden Boy himself is talking to me, breathing right next to me literally speaking to me. I had a mini fangirl session before I snapped out of it and answered him back, "A friend asked, and I agree, so that's why I'm here" I smiled at him. "Nice costume" my cheek heated up realizing he was looking at me, "I'm Ellie Woods, from legally blonde" I replied, "-And your ghostface, nice" I looked at him, "So..where's your mask?" I tilted my head, "On my belt, just in case" His smile made me have chills down my core.
He looked perfect even in the hot, sweaty environment we were in. I wanted to do something, but I couldn't even do anything. I felt my core getting hotter and my legs getting stickier.
"What's your name?" He asked, "Y/N and I already know you, your Luke right?" I hoped to not sound creepy, that I already knew him. "Yeah, how did you know that?"
"Your really well known, I guess I just picked up on you. You do know your are really easy on the eyes" I tried to flirt with him.
"Hey!" I looked at him, as the bartender came to him, as he ordered something, "Two shots of tequila" Before the bartender poured them out of the clear bottle. As the bartender slid them onto the counter to him, before he offered one to you. "Shots?" He asked, "Hell yeah" I took the shot and gulped it down, as the liquid burned down my throat to my chest, "Fuck that's strong" I heard him groaning out, it made me feel hot. But you knew that you couldn't do it at all, he had a girlfriend.
You weren't an asshole to break up someone's relationship for something petty like a sexual conquest. "Um, why did you really come here to talk to me.." I spoke out, biting my lip. "I thought you were cute" My heart started beating up faster, "Don't you have a girlfriend?" I bit my lip, "Oh, me and Cate..we broke up, she cheated on me with my best friend, pretty shitty isn't it?" He sipped more of the drink, he ordered in his glass cup. "Oh, gosh...I'm so sorry" That was a pretty shitty way to get broken up with, but at least I didn't have the guilt of being a home wrecker.
"I know," He said, rubbing his temples. The scene was awkward, I didn't want to pity him any further, but I was oddly turned on by this. But you didn't want to throw an opportunity away. It would be one in a chance.
"Do you want to feel better, I know a way" I placed his hand on his upper knee, tilting my head, suggestively. I guessed he got the message before I took his hand, and followed me into a random room. I really didn't know my way through the house but I was able to find a free room.
I pushed him onto the bed. I closed the door behind me, before getting on top of him, hooking my hands on his shoulder, and placing my lips on him. I felt his hands on my side, moving lower down to dangerous parts of me. Grinding down on his growing erection, Withdrawing away from the kiss. "Woah" I smiled at his reaction, "How was it" I cocked my head at him, rubbing down at him.
"That was fucking awesome" I pinched his cheek, "Your adorable" I smirk. He rubbed my ass down to my upper thighs. I felt his hands warming up under my tights.
I took my hands off of his shoulder, before losing off the corset that held me in its confined. I felt relief from taking it off, throwing my corset top somewhere else. His eyes darted to my chest, "Like them?" pressing them together, I felt myself getting wetter as he looked at me. Before I felt him flipping me over, feeling my back hitting the bed. My legs crossed each other as I held them up. I turned my head to the side, looking at him, opening my legs.
"Are you hard right now?" I teased, feeling some heart from his hands, melting away my tights. Before I felt him rip them off my legs. The flimsy fabric was ruined, "You ruined them" I faked my sad expression, "I'll replace them" he rubbed the upper parts of my thighs, taking my panties off of me. His hands stretch the lips of cunt, making me moan out. "S-stop, it's embarrassing" I turned my head away from the scene, "Fuck your soaked" He spread me apart, and his fingers slid into me, moaning on impact.
My legs trembling from the intrusion. His fingers curled into me, making me bend back, my hands gripping the sheets, his fingers thrusting into me in a rough motion, "FUCK!" I cried, my chest rising up and down. "Your sensitive, aren't you" He was staring at me, analyzing what I did, making me squeeze down on his finger, making him groan, "Shit, I'm sorry" Before he took his fingers, some clear slick. He licked his fingers clean, I didn't know if this was even real. Luke Riordan literally fingering me and licking my juices. I propped myself on my elbows before looking up at Luke taking off his pants.
His dick leaning onto his stomach, standing up. "Holy Shit" I muttered, it had a red tip and pre-cum leaking out of the tip, and it was bigger than you thought. I felt his hand on my ankle dragging me onto the edge of the bed, spreading my legs apart. "L-luke" I moaned, He had a condom in his hand, taking it out of the golden package, "W-wait, let me put it on" He placed it in my hand. I place it on my lips before taking the shaft and using my mouth to put the condom on.
I leaned back putting my legs up, as he put his hand on my thighs and slid himself into me, I moaned out. His dick abusing my cunt. Tightening against his cock. I heard him groan, The friction made me feel wetter. His hand on my waist, his dick stuffing me full, his hips snapping into me. His hands cupped my chest, playing with them. I felt his mouth on my peaks, making me bend. "Luke" I moaned.
I turned my head to the side, flickering my eyes away from him. My chest heaving, my body is feeling hot, and feeling sticker. I felt his hand roaming on my body, flicking my nipples, making me shiver in pleasure. His hands moved my body to the side, as he lifted my legs onto his shoulder, thrusting into me. Feeling him reaching a deep side of me, I flickered my eyes at him. I felt my abdomen feeling hot and bubbling, tightening against him before he groaned. "Luke..I'm close" I wailed, "Fuck, I'm close too" He rubbed my waist, making me mewl out.
I felt a wave crash down on my body, as I moaned out, gripping down on the sheets. His pace slowed down as he plunged into me, making me twitch. His pelvis collided with mine, as he thrust in, before releasing his load. Before he pulled out of me, before typing it up and throwing away the used condoms.
I was tired and sweaty. I put my hand over my eyes, trying to hide from him. I really didn't realize that it really did happen. Having sex with Luke actually did happen.
Leaning up on your elbows, "You okay" I turned my head at Luke, sitting on the side of the bed. He was still half naked, "Yeah.." I laid back down, "Could I hug you?" He asked, "Um, sure.." I felt the bed dip as he crawled towards me and his arms around my waist, leading to the side of my stomach. It was a little awkward but wholesome, I didn't know what to do but I rubbed his head. It lasted for a few minutes before I closed my eyes and slept off.

Aino Minako's Discography
So I was chatting with a friend who I dragged into watching PGSM about how Minako's portrayed in PGSM and all the hints we get in subtler ways about her change in character throughout the timeline and story... and then this led to us chatting about Minako's music. So now here's my brain dump. lol
From the PGSM Memorial Art Book, the CD listed here from left to right are:
I'll Be Here (album)
C'est La Vie (single)
VENUS (album)
IMITATION (album)
Kiss^2 Bang^2 (single)
There could be more singles before that, but if there are we don't know what they are. We do know there are other new songs Minako produced in-universe, including Happy Time, Happy Life from the Special Act, but we do not have a copy of the CD past Act 47.
For each of the albums, we find the name of the songs are very telling, and often very connected to the wider PGSM and Minako's storyline.
Act Zero states that IMITATION is Minako's 1st album.
Translations of the song titles:
始まりの伝説 [Hajimari no Densetsu] (The Legend of the Beginning)
IMITATION
負けるな!クリスマスガール [Makeruna! Kurisumasu Gaaru] (Don’t Lose! Christmas Girl) Act Zero is hinted to take place on Christmas Eve (the Silent Night bgm), or at least definitely near Christmas.
LOVE vs DREAM
うれしくて… [Ureshikute…] (I'm So Happy... / Be Happy...) There's a double meaning that without knowing more detail it'd be hard to determine the best way to translate the song title.
ナイショ! [Naisho!] (SECRET!)
ハートはORANGE [Haato wa ORANGE] (Heart is ORANGE)
白い出会い [Shiroi Deai] (White Rendezvous) As both Endymion and Serenity have white outfits in PGSM, I imagine this is alluding to past life.
MAKE UP! POWER!!
Songs 1, 7, 8 and 9 have very clear past life or Sailor Venus lore connection. While 3 and 5 seem to allude more towards Minako's story of battling her illness. Songs 2, 4 and 6 have more of a vague name that could allude to the duality of Minako's position as a teenager and idol, her secret about her illness, or her memory of Sailor Venus.
Regardless, the song titles suggest that even before meeting Artemis, Minako seems to have dreams or impressions of her past life. Possibly between these impressions/memories and her illness, Minako copes and processes her thoughts and emotions by making music. This has become my headcanon and how I write Minako in my fanfiction.
VENUS - released in Act 1 is Minako's 2nd album.
Translations of the song titles:
C'est la Vie~私のなかの恋する部分 [Se ra Bi ~ Watashi no Naka no Koi Suru Bubun] (That’s Life ~ The Part Inside Me That's In Love) The pronunciation of "C'est la Vie" is synonymous with the Japanese pronunciation of "Sailor V". Mischievous, punny Minako strikes again.
Star girl
For your dream
ETERNITY
Come again
月のキセキ [Tsuki no Kiseki] (Miracle of the Moon)
Be Free!
A Q U A This song's name was likely done to allude to Ami it's shown in Act 2, Sailor Mercury's debut episode.
Happening ☆
戦う女神⋅おんな [Tatakau Megami ⋅ Onna] (Goddess of Battles ⋅ Woman) This could have been translated to Goddess of War as well. Googling the 4 first characters yields results that include Japanese articles on Athena. In-universe, since Ami has been referenced in AQUA, this title could be alluding to Sailor Mars, but it's more likely to be alluding to the collective Sailor Senshi team.
Lucky Joker Possibly alluding to Usagi? Or maybe Motoki? lol
ア⋅イ⋅ノ♡セレナーデ [Ai no Serenado] (Serande of Love)
The song name of VENUS is a bit more mixed bag of meanings, including song 8 alluding to Ami. But the allusion to the past life and Minako's identity as Sailor Venus is significantly more prominent. There doesn't seem to be any mention or allusion to Minako's illness.
This makes sense, since in Act 2 we viewers wouldn't have a clue about that part of Minako's storyline yet. In-universe, this suggests Minako embracing more and more her past life duties and being on the path of deprioritizing her personal situation and health condition.
I'll Be Fine is Minako's 3rd album, released sometime after Act 47.
Reminder in Act 47, Artemis and the Senshi were given a pre-release of the album, as Minako wanted to surprise Artemis and Usagi with gifts.
Romance
I’m Here
C'est la Vie~私のなかの恋する部分 [Se ra Bi ~ Watashi no Naka no Koi Suru Bubun] (That’s Life ~ The Part Inside Me That's In Love)
肩越しに金星 [Katagoshi ni Kinsei] (Venus Over My Shoulder)
Kiss!2 Bang!2
さよなら~sweet days [Sayonara~ Sweet Days] (Farewell~ Sweet Days)
This album has nearly all the insert songs we hear between Act 1 - Final Act that Minako sang. The only exception is I'm Here.
Songs 1, 3, 4 and 5 have names that allude to the idea of love, which is Sailor Venus's power. Songs 2 and 6 specifically have names that match the theme of the song lyrics, revealing Minako's candid personal thoughts and feelings surrounding her illness.
The fact that Minako passed away in Act 47 before the album was officially released to the public... my friend @greenyoshi72 said Minako wrote her own requiem... 😭

Just a few years ago, maternal mortality was the rare reproductive justice issue that seemed to transcend partisan politics. In late 2018, Republicans and Democrats in Congress even came together to approve $60 million for state maternal mortality review committees (MMRCs) to study why so many American women die from causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Donald Trump—not exactly famous for his respect toward pregnant women and new mothers in his personal life—signed the bill.
But some Republicans’ enthusiasm for these committees began to wane at around the same time abortion rights advocates began warning that draconian restrictions on reproductive care would only push the shamefully high US maternal mortality rate—the worst among affluent countries—even higher. Nor did conservatives, like Idaho lawmakers, appreciate the policy recommendations that came out of many MMRCs.
Texas, whose record on maternal mortality (and maternal health more broadly) has been an embarrassment since long before Dobbs, has a history of controversial attempts to play down potentially unwelcome findings from its MMRC. After the Dobbs decision, when the state committee was working on its report examining maternal deaths in 2019, Texas officials decided to slow-roll its release until mid-2023—too late for lawmakers to act on its recommendations. “When we bury data, we are dishonorably burying each and every woman that we lost,” one furious committee member told the Texas Tribune. Ultimately, officials released the report three months late, in December 2022. Soon afterward, the Legislature reconfigured the MMRC, increasing its size—but also ejected one of its most outspoken members.
Now Texas officials have stirred up the biggest furor yet, appointing a leading anti-abortion activist to the panel. Dr. Ingrid Skop, an OB-GYN who practiced in San Antonio for 25 years, will join the MMRC as a community member representing rural areas (even though she is from the seventh-largest city in the US). But she also represents a largely overlooked segment of the anti-abortion movement: researchers who seek to discredit the idea that abortion restrictions are putting women’s lives in danger. To the contrary, Skop and her allies argue that abortions are the real, hidden cause of many maternal deaths—and that abortion restrictions actually save mothers’ lives.
One of several doctors suing to revoke the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of mifepristone, the medication abortion drug at the center of one of this term’s blockbuster Supreme Court cases, Skop has been a familiar face on the anti-abortion expert-witness circuit for more than a decade. She has frequently testified in favor of strict abortion bans in court cases, state legislatures, and before Congress. In a high-profile case this winter, she submitted an affidavit stating that a Dallas woman named Kate Cox— who was seeking a judge’s permission to terminate a nonviable pregnancy—did not qualify for an abortion under Texas’s medical exception. The Texas Supreme Court rejected Cox’s petition, and to get medical care, the 31-year-old mother of two had to flee the state. Apparently, Skop’s hard-line stance against abortion-ban exemptions extends to children. At a 2021 congressional hearing, she testified that rape or incest victims as young as 9 or 10 could potentially carry pregnancies to term. “If she is developed enough to be menstruating and become pregnant, and reached sexual maturity,” Skop said, “she can safely give birth to a baby.”
Skop’s relatively new role as vice president and director of medical affairs for the Charlotte Lozier Institute, the research arm of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, has solidified her standing in the anti-abortion firmament. Lozier, which has positioned itself as the anti-abortion alternative to the Guttmacher Institute, described Skop’s role as “coordinat[ing] the work of Lozier’s network of physicians and medical researchers who counter the abortion industry’s blizzard of misinformation with science and statistics for life.” Elsewhere on its website, Lozier notes that Skop’s “research on maternal mortality, abortion, and women’s health has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.”
What her Lozier bio doesn’t mention is that three of the studies Skop co-authored about the purported risks of abortion were retracted by their publisher this February. Attorneys representing Skop and her fellow anti-abortion doctors had cited the studies in the FDA-mifepristone case. As my colleague Madison Pauly reported, an independent review of the papers found “fundamental problems,” “incorrect factual assumptions,” “material errors,” “misleading presentations,” and undisclosed conflicts of interest between the studies’ authors (including Skop) and anti-abortion advocacy groups (including Lozier). In a rebuttal on its website, Lozier called the publisher’s move “meritless,” adding, “There is no legitimate reason for [the] retractions.”
Skop’s work on maternal mortality hasn’t received the same attention as those papers—yet. But her reflections on maternal deaths in the US have raised plenty of eyebrows.
Skop has argued repeatedly that abortions are directly and indirectly behind the rise in maternal mortality in the US. In a 53-page “Handbook of Maternal Mortality” she wrote for Lozier last year, she says that CDC maternal mortality data can’t be trusted in part because “there is much unreported maternal mortality and morbidity associated with legal, induced abortion, often obscured due to the political nature of the issue.” She claims that a history of abortions puts women at risk in pregnancy, childbirth, or during the postpartum period—whether from maternal complications she contends are linked to prior abortions, or from mental health problems, such as drug addiction and suicide, purportedly caused by abortion regret.
In another paper co-written with some of the same co-authors as in her retracted studies, Skop and her colleagues call for an overhaul of how states and the CDC collect maternal mortality data, urging the inclusion of “mandatory certification of all fetal losses,” including abortions.
And whereas the vast majority of public health experts predict that maternal deaths and near-deaths will increase in states with abortion bans, Skop takes the opposite view. In yet another Lozier paper, she lists 12 reasons why states with abortion bans will have fewer maternal deaths. For instance, she argues, because of abortion restrictions, women will have fewer later-term abortions, which tend to be more dangerous to women than first-trimester procedures. (In fact, researchers report, that state bans have led to an increase in second-trimester abortions.) She claims that since women who don’t have abortions won’t have mental health problems supposedly associated with pregnancy loss, their alleged risk of postpartum suicide would be reduced. (In fact, the idea that abortion regret is widespread and dangerous has been thoroughly debunked.) Skop makes a similar argument about abortion’s purported (and disproven) link to breast cancer, arguing that fewer abortions will mean fewer women dying of malignant tumors.
Much of Skop’s advocacy work has been done in collaboration with colleagues who share her strong ideological views. MMRCs, by contrast, have a public health role that is supposed to transcend politics—their focus is on analyzing the deaths of expectant and new mothers that occur within a year of the end of the pregnancy. Typically, committee members come from a wide range of professional backgrounds: In Texas, these include OB-GYNs, high-risk pregnancy specialists, nurses, mental health providers, public health researchers, and community advocates. Panels also aim to be racially and geographically diverse, the better to understand the communities—Black, Indigenous, rural, poor—where mothers are at disproportionate risk of dying. In a country that hasn’t prioritized maternal health, MMRCs are uniquely positioned to identify system failures and guide policy changes that can save lives.
Texas’s most recent maternal mortality report found that 90% of maternal deaths were preventable, racial disparities in maternal outcomes weren’t improving, and severe childbirth complications were up 23%—all before the state’s abortion bans took effect.
It remains to be seen how someone with Skop’s background and agenda will fit in with her new colleagues, especially at this dire moment for women in the state. Maternal health advocates aren’t optimistic: “This appointment speaks volumes about how seriously certain state leaders are taking the issue of maternal mortality,” Kamyon Conner, executive director of the Texas Equal Access Fund, told The Guardian. “It is another sign that the state is more interested in furthering their anti-abortion agenda than protecting the lives of pregnant Texans.”
Skop, contacted through Lozier, didn’t respond to a request for comment. In a statement to the Texas Tribune, Skop said she was joining the Texas MMRC because questions about maternal mortality data deserve “rigorous discourse.” “There are complex reasons for these statistics, including chronic illnesses, poverty, and difficulty obtaining prenatal care, and I have long been motivated to identify ways women’s care can be improved,” she said. “For over 30 years, I have advocated for both of my patients, a pregnant woman and her unborn child, and excellent medicine shouldn’t require I pit one against the other.”
Meanwhile, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists criticized Skop’s appointment, asserting that members of any maternal mortality review committee should be “unbiased, free of conflicts of interest and focused on the appropriate standards of care.”
“The importance of the work done by MMRCs to inform how we respond to the maternal mortality crisis cannot be overstated,” the group said in a statement. “It is crucial that MMRC members be clinical experts whose work is informed by data, not ideology and bias.”

I have a soft spot for her in my heart :p
Without her, we would not have Sailor Moon as we know it today! :D

All the monsters we live to fight - Guardian + Pacific Rim + Godzilla AU on AO3. Summary under the cut
"What is Shen Wei's current location?" At the Marshal's question, Zhu Hong took a moment longer to look at him. "Does he even leave the basement lab?” "Inform him that I'm coming down. I want Wang Zheng here in the command room. Lin Jing, you will monitor the reactivation." Zhao Yunlan finished the last few words as the door to the room closed behind him. “Reactivation,” Lin Jing quickly moved to another chair, to execute the commands on the system that Zhao Yunlan had been looking at before leaving. "As if that thing was ever actually activated... Hong-jie, tell me the Marshal isn't about to do something suicidal..." Zhu Hong sighed heavily. She always knew that there would never be time for a proper goodbye and the words she had never said.
Now with Cover Art by @sagittariusdarkarrow - his gift to @the-marron and I for bringing more chaos to this place, as the eldritch horrors we are.
