although everyone else thought there had to be something wrong with her, femi was never one for pets. after the passing of her childhood hamster, she swore she would only love animals from afar, and has stuck to it since. this didn't mean that she didn't crave the occasional cuddle from a furry friend, leading her to spend her afternoon off at the local cat cafe. the adoptions were becoming increasingly tempting to her, but instead she opted to spend more time befriending the cats and trying to convince other patrons to adopt them instead. walking up to the counter, she smiles warmly at the familiar face and gives a quick wave. "hey yaz! i know i had it two days ago but i'm dying for another green smoothie."

WHEN: day 4, medwing CLOSED for @fatefought

gale insists to his mother that he is perfectly okay, but when he's taken to sit on one of the available beds, he all but crumbles into it. they shove a mask onto his face, something that makes the air feel incredibly crisp and fresh when he takes it in. he didn't have difficulty breathing, he told them that, but this feels so nice he can't find it in himself to complain. it's like taking a deep breath in the woods, after spending all week in the mines. he had held on as far as he could, pushed off exhaustion in favor of seeing his mother, and everyone that he'd checked on after that. he had insisted to hazelle that he was fine, he just needed a plate of food and to clean the soot off his skin, he didn't need them to waste all this fancy medical paraphernalia on him.

and yet, here he is, sitting on this hospital bed, connected to an oxygen tube, holding his eyes closed when the world around him spins. so much for being strong, fatigue of the last three days has finally caught up to him. he actually shuts down and sleeps for a few seconds -- or minutes, he doesn't know --, sitting up, and when he blinks his eyes back open there's a different nurse in front of him.

"i'm fine," he protests to her, as he had done to everyone else. he sees her picking up a contraption that connects to her ears, and only with that movement, his eyes focus on her face. he recognizes her, but can't quite place from where, the thought is just out of his reach. his eyebrows furrow, his hands clutch at the edge of the bed to hold himself upright without swaying. "'m sorry, ma'am, do we know each other? gale hawthorne, from twelve."

Hiiiiiiiii it's me again!!!!!!!!

I just wathced the first episode of s3 of camp cretaceous!!!!

And they baited me so hard!!!!! I was already thinoing about how the whole season would be them lost in the middle of the pcean on a raft and I was so sad they were leaving bumpy behind!!!! But nope they failed which os probably for the best, that plan wasn't very smart!!!

I kinda want to see the other plans!!! Especially the elicopter one!!!

Also yayyyy it was a bonding episode!!!!!! And oh my god kimji and sally are so energic and chaotic toghter!!!!! They are so fun when they interact and I love them!!!!!

Meanwhile we have brooklyn and yazmine being awkward and trying to show the other that what they do is better, which i get that, both of them trived in an environment were being the best was the goal. Still i am very happy they came around and became more friends!!!! Without sally those two weren't really on the best terms!!!

Oh and I am happy they are keeping ben wild!!! And ypu know being very different from all the others, it would have been sad if right after he came he immediately reversed back.

Also yes I was really thinking why didn't thay took the hunter's boat??? Anf then they did!!!!!! Awesome!!!!

The end of the flux puts a magnifying glass over every failure of the writer with storytelling

A lot of characters that don't really do much, really big threats solved in one scene, the writer doesn't understand how big things got Fucked Up (the things the Flux destroyed are still gone, the Sontarans, Cybermen and Daleks got whipped out, the Lupars suffered a genocide) and the doctor is all smiles

Also. Yazmin. We got a glimpse of what it could have been: Yaz watching the hologram of the doctor and answering the questions like she watched everything before. Like we got SO MUCH potential for a intimate moment between them and what we got? The same stiffness we get with every character interaction. Every single character interaction has the same movement: they stay still in front of each other and speak. Like... Why aren't they moving closer? Why couldn't they hold hands? Why is there a random guy to call them and disrupt what could have been a beautiful moment? God I'm so mad what is Chibnall's thing with old white guys lmao

Esme had spent her first few weeks in Thirteen feeling lonely and lost. Missing the familiarity that came with Six. The people she knew, the places that she knew like the back of her hand. It was home and when she had made the decision to join the rebellion wholeheartedly, she hadn't quite been prepared for how homesick she would be. Except home wasn't simply a place to her, it had been her family too - most importantly Amara was her sense of home. But with her sister is far out of her reach she found herself looking for someone else to hold onto. Her sister in law might have seemed like the most obvious choice but other than their conversation when they were reunited, their interactions had been brief as they consistently seemed to miss one another. Esme had been content to give Yazmin her space, knowing that she could be guilty of trying a bit too hard to win people's affection and not wanting to smoother the other woman, but she felt like there was no one else who'd understand missing Amara better.

She'd stood awkwardly outside Yazmin's door, trying to summon the courage to knock when the sound of footsteps altered her to her sister-in-law approaching down the corridor. "Sorry to kind of stake out your doorway. I just didn't really know where else to find you - I don't know your schedule and this place is still such a maze to me." Apologetic words flow quickly from her lips and before she lose her nerve Esme is continuing, barely taking a breath in between. "Speaking of schedules though, I won't keep you long if you're needed elsewhere. I was just wondering if we could maybe find some times to spend together?" Her hesitance doesn't come from anything but her own self consciousness, worried that she'll put Yazmin in an awkward position or worse, guilt her into something she'd rather not do.

THE PAST:

Born and raised in Cambridge, England, to a big and loving family. Yazmin is the youngest of five siblings. Her father, Mostafa, is a lawyer and mother, Areen, is a renowned film-maker.

While studying in America she met Henry through a mutual friend and they kicked it off instantly. She was supportive of him while he was going through med school but things gradually started to change - there might have been more signs, and she hates herself for not picking up on them sooner, but the first was his attitude and newfound arrogance. Yazmin stayed with him hoping he’d revert back to the person she met. 

While they were both busy people she found Henry was more distant and busier than usual. Working, he says. Having an affair, she found out. It shouldn’t have been a surprise but to her it was. She moved out the night she found out and intended not to see him again.

TW FOR MENTIONS OF ABORTION - After separating, Yazmin found out that she was pregnant and decided to get an get abortion. She wasn’t ready to have a child. While she’s unequivocally unapologetic about doing so she knows that not everybody shares the same views and, besides, it’s nobody's business. END OF TW.

But their mutual friend’s wedding. It had been a few months and she didn’t want to cause conflict so close to their big day so chose to stay quiet but her silence was never one of forgiveness towards Henry it was out of kindness to their friend. If one thing was for certain it was that the ride was rocky even before takeoff.

ON THE ISLAND:

Yazmin is caring and friendly. She’s willing to try her hand at anything to help and is particularly good at organising and rationing the few items they have. There is still clear conflict between her and her ex-boyfriend and she’d prefer not to interact with him unless necessary.

amara feels like a deer caught by headlights. she feels like one of the more feral strays they feed at home -- an unkown human has just swung a door open and rattled a dish of food and her back is arched and her fur is standing on end as she hisses. to say she's been on edge is an understatement. she can't forget that she's going into the games tomorrow. every face she looks into is someone she needs as a sponsor or someone she'll need to kill. if she's lucky, twenty-three people die of natural causes far away from her, and she doesn't have to deal with any of it, and she comes back home safe. but she's not lucky at all.

someone raises a toast somewhere behind her, and she flinches at the otherwise innocent sound of a couple cheers and clinking glasses, as if it was a cannon sound. her hand shoots out to grip yazmin's wrist in alarm, before she's aware of her own overreaction a moment later, and then she sighs heavily. "sorry, shit," her voice is a murmur and she shakes her head, brushing off her fleeting moment of panic. "i shouldn't be like this." relax, she tells herself.

this might be the last chance she has of being by her wife's side like this, she should be enjoying it. one last chance to pretend this isn't their reality, that they'll wake up back in their home at six, any time soon. amara's eyes soften, and the hand that had gotten yazmin's arm in fear slips down to intertwine their fingers together, instead. her eyebrows raise. "that was pretty smooth of me," she hopes the humor isn't too heavy-handed for tonight. it's not the worst of the coping mechanisms, she thinks -- downing a bunch of those champagne flutes would be much worse. "am i wooing you successfully? i'm going for a... super stressed dead woman walking thing, but in a cute way."

Hiiiiiii!!!!!! How are you???? I hope good!!!

I just started episode 6 of season 2 of camp cretaceous!!!!!

First thing I wanna day is BEN!!!!! That poor kid has become so unhinged!!!! I love it!!! He just tried to fight toro!!! Alone!!! Like a total badass!!! A crazy and traumatized badass but still a badass!!!

And he was ready to feed a man to a t rex, like he was dead serious, and also ready to zap him too!!!(I also love his interaction with that man[the guide for the photographers who are actually just photographers couple], they are just both ready to fight to the death and it just so insane and I love it!!!)

Also I really liked the bonding episodes!!!! Especially the yazmine and kenji bonding!!!!! It was like listening to the two sides of my brain talking to each others honestly!!! The super duper lazy part and the obsessed with not failing professional athlete part!!!
