(cw for abortion joke)
saw ur post about eggman being so bigoted it loops back round to progressiveness and it reminds me of a hc I have for my own f/o.
he's pro-abortion, but not because he cares about bodily autonomy or understands that fetuses aren't kids. he's pro-abortion because babies dying is hilarious to him.
LMFAOHDJGNSJGK oh my god Eggman totally would do that too. and another thing that'd make it funny is that being a 300 IQ scientific genius he should know the basic science of it so he'd specifically be willingly ignorant out of just wanting to believe it and choosing to see it as something being killed anyway. but then instead of it being so he can be mad about it, it's so he can celebrate it
he'd be all for abortion because he finds babies dying funny 💀 he canonically has a morbid sense of humor and is the epitome of fuck them kids, plus he scoffs at and expresses aversion towards traditional organic procreation and hails his superior artificial scientific methods over it, so he'd be all for people preventing them from ever becoming inferior organic kids to his artificial creations!
like sure if people want it so much then we can have progressive Eggman and make it work, absolutely- but if it's not either just performative or through him having the most fucked up logic behind it possible like this, where he's just so terrible that it manages to loop back around to being accidentally based aside from his awful way of going about it then it's just not him. this is how you do it XD

“No, it’s impossible,” Klaus said, clenching his jaw.
“I said the same thing myself,” Elijah said.
Klaus glared and pointed at you, Elijah, and Sophie. “This is a lie. You’re all lying. Vampires cannot procreate.”
“But werewolves can,” Sophie said. “Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a werewolf.”
Klaus turned to face Sophie, not wanting to believe what she was saying.
“You’re the original hybrid, the first of your kind, and this pregnancy is one of nature’s loopholes.”
Klaus shook his head and went to lunge at you. “You’ve been with someone else. Admit it!”
Elijah caught his brother from ripping your throat out. You looked at him, hateful and regretful tears welling up in your eyes.
“Hey, I've spent my days held captive in a freaking alligator bayou because they think that I’m carrying some magical, miracle baby,” you said, balling your hands in fists. “Don’t you think I would’ve fessed up if it wasn’t yours?”
“My sister gave her life to perform the spell,” Sophie added. “She needed to confirm this pregnancy. Because of Jane-Anne’s sacrifice, the lives of this girls and her baby are now controlled by us. We can keep them safe, or we can kill them. If you don’t help us take down Marcel, so help me, Y/n won't live long enough to see her first maternity dress.”
The three of you looked at Sophie incredulously.
“Wait, what?” You asked.
“Enough of this. If you want Marcel dead, he's dead. I’ll do it myself,” Elijah said.
“No,” Sophie shook her head. “We can't, not yet. We have a clear plan that we need to follow, and there are rules.”
Klaus gritted his teeth. “How dare you command me. Threaten me with what you wrongfully perceive to be my weaknesses! This is a pathetic deception. I won’t hear any more lies.”
“Niklaus,” Elijah stopped is brother. “Listen.”
Klaus turned to you, looking at your stomach. He began to hear the baby’s heartbeat. You put your hand over your stomach protectively. Klaus couldn’t believe his ears. It was real, the baby you were carrying was real. He didn’t know how to feel, but he knew he wasn’t going to give in.
“Kill her and the baby,” Klaus said, turning to Elijah. “What do I care?”
Elijah glared at his brother. Klaus walked off, not caring to give you a second glance.
“Screw you, Klaus!” You yelled out, followed by a choked sob. “I’m out of here.” You started to walk away, but one of Sophie’s friends blocked the entrance. You looked at Elijah for help. He turned to Sophie.
“No one touches the girl. I will fix this,” Elijah said.
Sophie let the two of you go. You walked out of the alley, tears streaming down your face. Elijah took your arm gently, having you face him.
“I will talk to him, Y/n,” Elijah said.
“What’s the use?” You sniffled. “He wants nothing to do with this baby. He’s a selfish, heartless monster.”
“Y/n, let me try and make him see what this baby brings to the table. I assure you, everything will be okay,” Elijah said. “I give you my word.” You looked into Elijah’s eyes and nodded. “Alright. Thank you.”
Elijah nodded and left to talk to Klaus. You went back to the byou, knowing that the witches were waiting for you.
The next day wasn’t any easier. It didn’t seem like Elijah got through to Klaus at all. You couldn’t help curse at yourself for putting yourself in this position. Why did you sleep with him? And secondly, why didn’t you use a condom?
You shook your head at your thoughts, walking through the French Quarter to where the Mikaelson’s lived. You were going to find Rebekah and try to see if she could talk to Klaus.
You knocked on the door, frowning when you saw Klaus.
“Hello, Little Wolf. What can I do for you?” Klaus grinned.
“Is Rebakah here?” You asked.
“Yes, she is,” Klaus said.
“Great. I need to talk to her,” you said, trying to go into the house, but you ran into Klaus.
You huffed in frustration, looking into his dark-blue eyes.
If we were to have this baby, at least it would have his pretty eyes, you thought.
“Not so fast, Y/n. Have you know, Rebakah already tried to talk to me about not killing you or the baby, but sadly, it didn’t work,” Klaus said.
You scoffed, “Are you really this heartless? I don’t care about you killing me, but a baby? Oh wait, no, I get it. You’re scared that we’re gonna be shit parents like your parents. I get it now.”
You knew you had peicered his heart, becuase he took ahold of your neck and used his vamp speed to take you in the house and slam you against the wall. You groaned in pain, trying to pry yourself from his grip.
“Do not speak to me like that!” Klaus shouted. “You think you can sway me with your little findings? You think I want to be a parent, Y/n? No, I want nothing to do with the horrendous thing growing inside of you,” Klaus growled.
You gasped for air, your hands on is hand, trying to get him to let go.
“Niklaus!”
Klaus and you saw Elijah behind him, a disappointed look on his face.
“Let go of the girl. Now,” Elijah commanded.
Klaus looked back at you, crazy shining in his eyes. He let you go roughly. You fell to the floor, holding your neck and coughing.
“You do not treat a woman who is barring a child like that, Niklaus. Mother would be so disappointed in you,” Elijah said.
Klaus growled, “Do not talk to me about Mother!”
“Fine,” Elijah said. He walked over to you, helping you up. “I will talk to you about this baby, though. If you do not wish to comply with the witches and keep the baby safe, then you shall be killed. If you do comply, you could welcome your first child into the world, Niklaus. I know you felt something when you heard the heartbeat, so think seriously about your decision to leave or care for the girl and the baby.”
Klaus looked between you two. His brother was right. When he heard the baby’s heartbeat, tears of joy had sprung in his eyes. And the thought of you carrying his baby filled his heart with a little love and pride. He knew that if he did comply, then everything would change. He would change. Was he able and willing to do that?
“Let me think about it,” Klaus said.
“Alright. Have your answer by tomorrow morning. Say sorry to Y/n,” Elijah said.
Klaus looked into your eyes, seeing tears fall out of them. It pained his heart to see you cry more than he’d like to admit.
“I’m sorry, Y/n,” he said.
You gave Klaus a forgiving, kind smile, knowing he meant it. “Thank you.” You then turned to Elijah.
“Can I stay here tonight? I hate the byou.”
“Of course. We have plenty of rooms. Do you want dinner?” Elijah asked.
“Sure,” you nodded.
Elijah smiled at you, then looked to Klaus. “Klaus go and cook something for Y/n, hm?”
“Fine,” Klaus rolled his eyes. He went to the kitchen to get to work.
“He acts like he’s 5. Oh, my God,” you chuckled.
“Yes, he’s immature, but if he makes the right choice like I know he will, he will be a great father,” Elijah said.
“How do you know that he will make the right choice?” You asked.
“Well, Klaus loves family. He loves the idea of a perfect family. We never had that as children. I know he would love to have a family of his own more than anything, but his fear of taking care of a child blocks him from admitting,” Elijah explained.
“And his pride. He’s too afraid to become soft,” you snorted.
Elijah chuckled, “Yes, you are right.”
You smiled at Elijah. “Thank you for saving me, again.”
“Of course, Y/n. This baby is going to my neice or nephew. It’s already part of the family, as are you. Now, I should be going. I have some business to attend to,” he said.
“Alright. See you again,” you waved.
Elijah gave you a warm smile and left the house. You sighed and seated yourself in the living room. You hoped to the moon Elijah was right.
The next morning you woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon. You did a big stretch before finding yourself needing to puke You rushed to the bathroom, falling to your knees. While throwing up, you felt the hair around your face lift up. You finished having your morning sickness and took a sheet of toilet paper and wiped your mouth. You flushed the toilet, looking back to see Klaus with a cheerful smile on his face, his hand holding up your hair.
“Oh, it’s you,” you said, standing up. You went over to the sink to wash your face and hands.
“I thought you’d be happy to see me,” Klaus said. “I helped your hair not fall into the toilet.”
You chuckled, “Right. Yeah, thanks.”
You started to brush your teeth, Klaus standing there, watching you. You furrowed your brows and spit out the toothpaste.
“Go away,” you said.
“No, I wanted to talk about the baby,” Klaus said.
You turned around, leaning on the sink counter. “Does this mean you have agreed to help me take care of the baby, and not put me in a chokehold anymore?”
Klaus chuckled and moved closer to you. “Yes, but on one condition.”
You rolled your eyes. “No, I don’t want to hear it. The baby and I are hungry, I’m going downstairs.” You moved past him, but only got out of the bathroom before being pulled back.
“You’ll want to listen to me, Little Wolf. It will make it easier for us,” Klaus said, pulling you so barley had any space between you two.
Your heartbeat spiked up, not feeling totally comfortable with how close you two were.
“Let me go, Klaus,” you said through a clenched jaw.
“One moment. I will protect you and the baby and do what the witches want, if you agree to do stay out of my way and do whatever I command you to.”
You scoffed, “No! I’m not gonna be one of your victims. I’m carrying your baby, Klaus. You have no right to control me.”
Klaus rolled his eyes. “Fine. Just promise to stay out of my way then?”
“Fine,” you sighed.
Klaus put his hand up to your cheek, brushing a peice of hair out of the way. You looked up into his eyes, feeling a gravitational pull between you and him. Your eyes flickered down to his lips and back to his eyes. Klaus smirked, cupping your cheek.
“Falling, are we?” Klaus remarked.
You puled away, the moment ruined and the feelings you were feeling disappearing slowly.
“You wish,” you said before walking off.
Klaus looked at your retreating figure, feeling a little regretful that he had spoken. If he hadn’t, maybe you two would have kissed.
He shook his head of the romantic feelings he was feeling. He wasn’t supposed to fall in love with you. You were just a little bump in the road in his plan to ruling New Orleans. And this baby you two had, like the witches said, is the miracle baby that would change the supernatural world forever.
He walked down to find you eating some strawberries, smiling and talking to Elijah. Even though he pushed his feelings for you away, he couldn’t deny you were gorgeous, even when just after waking up.
“Ah, good morning, Klaus. Y/n has told me that you have chosen to protect her and the baby. I’m glad you made the right choice,” Elijah said.
“Yes, well, I’m not completely heartless,” Klaus said and sat down at the island table next to you.
“Could’ve fooled me,” you smirked.
“Ha-ha, very funny,” Klaus rolled his eyes, throwing a blueberry at you.
You giggled, chucking a strawberry at him. Klaus smiled at you, catching the strawberry and eating it. You couldn’t help but smile at this. You never had ever seen him like this. He looked joyful and carefree. It was nice to see him like this. You hoped he continued to be like this before and definitely after your pregnancy.
“Hello, love birds!” Rebekah announced.
You looked to the blonde and smiled. “Hey!”
“How is my sister-in-law-to-be?” Rebekah smiled.
“Good since your brother hasn’t been an ass for the last 5 minutes,” you said.
“Wow. Now, that is unheard of. Interesting,” Rebekah smiled.
“You two are friends? I thought you two hated each other?” Klaus asked.
“Well, she’s carrying my neice or nephew. It’s different now,” Rebekah explained.
“Yep. Apparently having your child gets me friends,” you chuckled.
Rebekah smiled. “Well, plus, she is a great person once you get to know her. And she’s the only girl who lives here now. I’m sick of being in the boy’s club.”
“Aw, thanks, Bex. You’re a great person, too,” you smiled.
Rebekah came over and took a strawberry from the bowl in front of you. “I have to go.”
You frowned, “Oh, why? Don’t leave me with them.”
“Ah, Y/n,” Elijah smiled. “I have been nothing but nice to you.”
You smiled at him. “True, but I want some girl time.”
“We will get that time soon, promise. I have to go and meet Marcel,” Rebekah said.
“No,” Klaus said, standing up.
You glared at Klaus. “Let her go. She could use some time with someone who is romantically interested in her.”
“I said no. You will not do anything with Marcel as long as you are living with me,” Klaus commanded.
“Oh, please, Niklaus. I’m a grown woman, I don't listen to you anymore. Ta-ta,” Rebekah waved at you and left the house.
“Jesus Christ,” Klaus muttered. “I’m going to kill-”
“Klaus!” You exclaimed. “Come with me to shop for maternity clothes, yeah?”
Klaus turned to you, “Why would I want to do that?”
You frowned, “Because it’s good for a mother and father to bond, even when they hate each other. We can go and buy you some new shirts, too.”
“I don’t need to buy anything for myself,” Klaus said.
“Yeah, you do. You wear the same 3 colors. You need to put in some pink in your wardrobe,” you said.
“Y/n is right. Go and spend time with, as the millennials say, your baby mama,” Elijah smiled.
Klaus rolled your eyes. “You two are impossible, but fine! Let’s go and get this over with.”
You got up and clapped your hands in excitement. You put on sneakers and grabbed a jacket before going outside. Klaus followed you out to the shops.  “I have a question,” you said.
“Yes?” Klaus asked.
“Since you can compel people, do you ever use actual money to buy clothes or compel yourself clothes?” You asked.
“Sometimes I buy, sometimes I compel,” he shrugged.
“Where do you get the money to buy?” You asked.
“I’ve been alive for 1,000 years, I have had jobs before,” Klaus explained.
“Ah, right. Makes sense,” you nodded.
You two walked the rest of the way in silence. You two went into a clothing store and went to the maternity section.
“You aren’t even showing yet, why do we need to buy now?” Klaus asked.
“It’s just a fun thing I’ve heard mothers do. Plus, I assume with time, life will be a lot more complicated, and I won’t have time to do these things,” you explained.
“Hm, interesting,” Klaus said.
You sighed quietly, looking at a few shirts for 3 months. Klaus followed behind you, observing you. He would never admit, but he enjoyed spending time with you. He did find you a little annoying and a bit of a distraction, but the fact that you were fun to be around and made him feel like he could let go was what made him all the more willing to comply with Elijah and the witches. You carrying his baby also helped, too.
“Why are you staring at me?” You asked.
Klaus shrugged, “I have nothing better to do.”
You hummed, “Right.”
You two shopped in silence for about an hour, then going to a nearby restaurant for a snack. Spending time with him wasn’t as bad as you thought. He was more quiet and a lot less whiney than he had shown in the past. He just let you do whatever you want, whatever was safe, of course. He actually was kind to you in the hour. He laughed at your jokes, answered whatever questions you had, and took an effort to ask questions he had to get to know you.
Maybe he wasn’t so bad, you thought.
You two went back home, a bunch of shopping bags in your hands. You put them in the living room, yawning and stretching.
“I’m going to take a nap,” you said.
“Alright, sleep well,” Klaus said.
You gave him a small smile and nodded. You went up the stairs, Klaus watching your retreating figure.
“See how easy it is to be nice?” Elijah’s voice came from the kitchen.
Klaus glared at his older brother. “I’m not doing it for you or her.”
“I never said you were, but now you have made me suspicious. It seems like you like her, Niklaus,” Elijah smiled.
“I don’t like her. Not romantically, anyways,” Klaus said.
“Are you sure? Why did you sleep with her, then?” Elijah asked.
“I don’t know. It was just a one night stand that ended up turning into something more. Why do you care, Elijah?” Klaus asked.
“I see the way you look at her, Niklaus. There is no shame in admitting your feelings,” Elijah said.
Klaus rolled his eyes. “Whatever, Elijah. I have to go.”
Elijah smirked, “Alright. See you later, brother.”
“See you,” Klaus said before going back out.
Over the course of the next few months, you and Klaus had gotten closer and became more friendly towards each other. You had learned that he had a passion for painting and reading. You learned that he wished that he had the perfect family and he hoped that one day, his family could reunite and be together once again. He knew how to cook and actually a good man, but because of his chaotic and violent childhood, he became the bad guy. He seeks validation and honesty in others, wanting to be loved and have friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Klaus had learned that you were adopted and thrown out all by the same family. You didn’t know who your real parents were, and you craved that information and have been searching for it since you first turned. He had learned that you had a passion for baking and helping others. That you were strong, confident, and weren’t afraid to protect your loved ones. He thought it was admirable the way you handled stress and betrayal, wishing he learned your patience.
Learning about each other more had made you two fall in love with each other, but that was unbeknownst to you two. You both didn’t even realise your own feelings. You personally knew that you liked being in Klaus’s presence. You felt safe and protected, accepted and even loved. He made you feel alive and the fact that he showed interest in you and the baby helped you like him more.
For Klaus, he enjoyed your presence, too. You always knew how to make him laugh. You made him feel different. Like he could be himself and forget who're or rather, what he was. It was freeing being with you, and he loved it. He was even looking forward more and more to the baby you and him had concieved. In his mind, you two were the family he always wanted and pictured.
Even though you two didn’t notice your infatuation with each other, everyone else sure did. Rebekah and Elijah decided to make a plan on getting you two together. Every chance they could, they would tease you two, make it so you tripped into him, left you two alone together, etc.
Like now, Rebekah had placed a golf ball on the floor and you had slipped. Klaus had rushed over to you and caught you in bridal style, immediately looking at your stomach for any signs of injury to the baby and you. He then looked to Rebekah and Elijah who are smiling.
“What are you two so happy about? Y/n could have hurt herself,” Klaus said.
“Oh, she’s fine. She and the baby would’ve healed,” Rebekah said.
“No, seriously, guys. Stop leaving shit on the floor, okay?” You asked.
Rebekah nodded, “Alright, alright. Sorry.”
Klaus let you go, his hands lingering against the small of your back. You weren't sure if it was the baby or his touch, but your stomach flipped. You leaned into him a little, wanting to be close to him for as long as you could. He was unbelievable warm, which was nice for you and the baby.
Elijah and Rebekah noticed your body language and smirked at each other. It was a wonder how you two didn’t notice each other’s love and care for each other. The both decided it was time for the two to have a talk with each of them, to try and push them to get together farther.
“Klaus, I need to see you for a second,” Elijah said.
Klaus moved away from you, leaving you cold and a little lonely. Klaus smiled goodbye at you before going in the next room with Elijah. Rebekah went up to you, a cheeky grin on her face.
“What are you and Elijah up to?” You asked.
“Nothing, nothing. I just wanted to talk to you about Klaus,” Rebekah said.
“Okay. What about him?” You asked.
“You’re in love with him, right?” Rebekah asked.
Your eyes went wide and your face flushed. “Wha-What?”
Rebekah smirked, “So you do. Why haven’t you done anything about it?”
You shrugged, “I don’t know. He only sees me as the mother of his child, another person to call a friend. We are no where near romance right now.”
“You’d be surprised to hear that you’re wrong,” Rebekah said.
You furrowed your brows. “What do you mean?”
“He's in love with you, too, Y/n,” Rebekah said.
“He’s not,” you scoffed.
“Yes, he is. Do you not see the way he looks at you? The way he cares for you and the baby? How every time you come into the room, a smile is immediately on his face and his aura is brighter?” Rebekah listed off examples.
The longer she went on, the more your face got red. “Ye-Yeah, I guess. You think he’s really in love with me?” You asked, hope shining in your eyes.
“Yes. Confront him. If I’m wrong, I owe you a lifetime of favours, okay? But if I’m right, I get a say in your baby’s name,” Rebekah grinned.
You rolled your eyes with a smile. “Fine. Deal. I’ll confront him tonight after dinner.”
“Great! Well, looks like my work is done. I better see you two trying for another baby after dinner,” Rebekah smirked and winked at you.
“Bex!” You exclaimed with a laugh before she went upstairs.
A few moments later, Klaus came back from the living room.
“So, what did Elijah want with you?” You asked.
“Oh, just to talk about what we are going to do with Sophie, that’s all. How about you and Rebekah?” Klaus asked.
“Just stuff about the baby,” you answered.
“Fun. Well, ready for dinner?” Klaus asked.
You nodded and sat down at the kitchen table, watching Klaus cook for you. You watched him in silence. You also ate dinner in silence. You two had a feeling that whatever Klaus’s siblings talked to you two about was the same thing, but you two were just too shy to say anything. But as Klaus walked you up the stairs to bed, you had stopped to ask him the burning question you had in your brain all night.
“Are you… are you in love with me?” You asked him, looking him straight in the eyes.
Klaus’s eyes widened in surprise. He coughed and averted your gaze. “Maybe.”
Your lips upturned into a small smile. “I’m in love with you, too, Nik.”
Klaus looked up to you, a smile appearing on his face. “Really?”
You nodded and bit your lip. “Yeah.”
Klaus leaned towards you, snaking his arm around your waist, pulling you closer. His other hand went up to your cheek, cupping it. You nuzzled into his hand, your own hands going to cup the sides of his face. You looked deep into his dark-blue eyes, getting lost in them. You two found yourselves leaning into each other, your lips eventually meeting.
Your eyes closed in an instant, pressing yourself up against him more. Klaus’s hold on your waist tightened and he deepened the kiss by dragging his tongue on your bottom lip. You opened your mouth quickly, giving him easy access to explore your mouth.
You two felt sparks fly around you two, both of your guys’s skin lighting on fire from each other's touch. Even though you two had kissed before, this time was more special. Almost monumental.
While you two were sharing your special moment, Elijah and Rebekah were watching with proud smiles on their faces.
“Such a wonderful couple,” Rebekah sighed.
“Yes. The big bad and little wolf,” Elijah smiled.

I ended up rewatching Panty & Stocking thanks to that one ask, and I was honestly a little scared that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered, but oh my fucking god. I have to pause every two minutes because I'm laughing so hard I can't hear the dialogue, which makes pausing imperative, because where else are you going to get lines like "your room looks like a whore's asshole exploded" and "not that he should procreate, but I would totally have his abortion"?
And don't even get me started on the visual gags. Like, there was a one-second shot of a kitchen drawer being opened and there was a random ass handgun resting in the middle of tableware. It had no relevance to the plot whatsoever.
Holy shit.

Feminist and Antifeminist Values in The Wife of Bath
As one of the few female pilgrims—and the only female pilgrim who is not a nun—in the Canterbury Tales, the Wife of Bath provides a unique perspective in her prologue and tale on marriage and gender roles. Additionally, as a literary construct, the Wife acts as a representation of all secular women in Chaucer’s society. Occupying a total of 1264 lines, the Wife of Bath’s prologue and tale contain a huge amount of content to be analyzed, and many scholars have undertaken the challenge of doing so. One popular subject among scholars and across the internet is the question of the Wife of Bath being “feminist” or “antifeminist.” Some believe the Wife of Bath presents feminist ideas, while others believe she is actually not feminist at all. In my interpretation, both statements are true: the Wife of Bath verbally expresses feminist ideas, but she also reinforces negative attitudes toward women through her lifestyle and her character traits. As a literary construct, the Wife of Bath shows Chaucer’s complicated relationship with “feminist” and “antifeminist” ideas.
Many negative stereotypes of women circulated in the Middle Ages. Women were commonly seen as contentious, demanding, uncontrollable, and insatiable, among other things (Bloch, 3). In other words, society saw women as always arguing, always wanting something from others, unruly, and unable to be satisfied (sexually or otherwise). Anyone can see that the Wife of Bath possesses at least some of these traits, complicating any argument that her character, as a literary construct written by Chaucer, is “feminist” in nature. Additionally, regardless of what stereotypes were in play at the time, a lot is at stake with how the Wife is written because of the fact that she effectively represents all secular women. Any and all of her characteristics—negative or positive—can be seen by the reader as universal to this group of people. Whether it was Chaucer’s intent or not, the Wife as a literary construct makes a statement about Medieval secular women as a whole.
One way the Wife of Bath portrays women in a negative light is through her marriage habits and lustful lifestyle, although she does attempt to provide a defense for this. In the beginning of the Wife of Bath’s prologue, the Wife mentions that she has had five husbands (in sequence, rather than simultaneously) (6). She argues that there is nothing wrong with marrying multiple times, referencing men from the Bible who had multiple wives at once—namely Solomon, Abraham, and Jacob—to support her argument (35-58). She also argues that there is nothing wrong with having sex, saying that if we have the body parts for it, we surely are meant to use them (115-134). She says that there is nothing wrong with virginity, but if everyone was a virgin, there would be no way to produce new virgins (71-72). Besides, at least she is not having sex outside of wedlock— “Bet is to be wedded than to brinne” (52). Biblical ideas of procreation are the basis of her arguments, referencing the passage from the Bible that says, “Be fruitful and multiply” (28).
However, there is a flaw in her “procreation” argument: she has no children—or at least no textual evidence would indicate that she does have any children. As someone who has sex all the time but has no children, how can she use procreation as a supporting argument for her lifestyle? Additionally, her portrait in the General Prologue may even suggest that she was an abortionist. Judging by the Wife’s discussion of sex and her multiple husbands, it seems odd that her lifestyle has not produced a single child; abortion seems like the logical answer. The last two lines of her portrait in the General Prologue read, “Of remedies of love she knew per chaunce, for she koude of that art the olde daunce” (475-476). This passage could be interpreted a few different ways, but it seems likely that the “remedies of love” refer to abortions. Love leads to sex, and sex leads to pregnancy, so it seems logical that “remedies of love” would be a euphemism for ways to terminate pregnancies. It seems odd that someone who has had five husbands has no children; logically, the amount of sex she has had in her life should have resulted in at least one child. The logical explanation for this seems to be abortion. With this in mind, the Wife’s “procreation” argument becomes even more flawed; not only has she never had a child, but she likely has even intentionally terminated pregnancies. This suggests that the Wife really only has sex as much as she does because she enjoys having sex, and not for any other reason. In this way, the Wife of Bath as a literary construct supports the attitude that women are lustful and sexually insatiable.
The Wife of Bath also is written as greedy and superficial. In reference to her five husbands, lines 44a and 44b in the Wife’s prologue read, “Of whiche I have pyked out the beste, bothe of here nether purs and of here cheste.” The words “purs” and “cheste” are of particular interest. The Middle English Dictionary provides various definitions for “purs” or “purse.” Among them are two particularly interesting meanings: a money bag, or a scrotum. Additionally, as we know, “purse” is used today to refer to a handbag for carrying money and other belongings. “Cheste” also has several meanings in the MED: “1. A trunk, chest, casket, box, etc., (for storing or safekeeping); a strongbox (for valuables, documents, money); 2. Coffin, sarcophagus; also, tomb, grave. 3. Of a person, the body, the chest, the heart: repository or abode (of the soul, grief, secrets, etc.).” The Oxford English Dictionary provides similar definitions from before the 15th century: “1. a. A box, a coffer; now mostly applied to a large box of strong construction, used for the safe custody of articles of value. 3. A coffin.”
In this part of the Wife of Bath’s Prologue, the Wife is talking about how she picked her five husbands very carefully, paying close attention to their “nether purs” and their “cheste.” The more obvious meaning of “purs” here is “scrotum” due to the preceeding “nether.” The scrotum is highly associated with sex and reproduction, so the Wife is probably saying that she looks for men with appealing genitals and quality genetics. However, there is certainly an additional connotation of the word “purs” with money. Concerning the “cheste,” she could mean many different things. She could mean that she made sure to marry men with a lot of money (with “cheste” meaning a strongbox), supporting the money-related interpretation of “purs.” She could also mean that she was sure to marry men who would die soon (with “cheste” meaning a casket or coffin), presumably in order to get money. She could also mean that she made sure the men had good souls (using MED definition 3). This ambiguity by Chaucer was probably intentional. It’s almost humorous, because the first two interpretations strongly contrast with the third.
This use of “purs” and “cheste” seems to be an instance of Chaucer’s famous irony that we see throughout the Canterbury Tales. Both the first and the second interpretations turn out to be true of her three “good” husbands—she describes them as rich and old—so “cheste” probably refers to both a strongbox and a coffin (196-197). Chaucer even uses the word “cheste” to explicitly mean “casket” in lines 501-502: “Lat hym fare wel; God yeve his soule reste! He is now in his grave and in his cheste.” This shows that Chaucer was aware of the multiple meanings of “cheste” and most likely intended for multiple meanings to be at play in line 44b. By the end of the prologue, we learn that the Wife was very driven by money, using sex as a tool for manipulation. So, ultimately, the third interpretation is probably not true and could be a source of irony, indicating that the Wife actually didn’t care about the souls of her husbands at all, only their genitals and their money.
However, one may argue that the Wife actually did marry her fifth husband for his soul and nothing else. Lines 525 and 526 read, “My fifthe housbonde -- God his soule blesse! --which that I took for love, and no richesse […]” The Wife says that she married her fifth husband, Jankyn, for love and not for money, suggesting that maybe she did marry this one for his soul. However, “love” also has connotations of sex. Perhaps what the Wife really means here is that she married him for his youthful beauty and vigor, yielding a satisfying sex life. This seems like another instance of the irony we see so much from Chaucer. It sounds like the Wife means that she married Jankyn for his soul, but that’s really not what she means at all. The way the Wife chooses her husbands shows her greed and superficiality.
The Wife of Bath also admits to being manipulative of her husbands and doesn’t seem at all ashamed. She says, “I wolde no lenger in the bed abyde, if that I felte his arm over my syde, til he had maad his raunson unto me” (409-411). The Wife would withhold sex from her husbands until she got what she wanted from them—namely, money. Not only does this show her manipulative tendencies, but it also reinforces the idea of her greedy and demanding nature.
All of these characteristics of the Wife of Bath—lust, insatiability, greed, superficiality, and manipulation—portray women in a negative light. As a literary construct, the Wife acts as a representation of all secular women of medieval English society, so any negative characteristics associated with her will be seen by readers as extendable to this entire category of people. In this way, Chaucer’s writing of the Wife of Bath’s character can be seen as “antifeminist,” or supporting the negative attitudes toward women that were the norm in Chaucer’s time.
On the other hand, the Wife of Bath expresses plenty of ideas and values in support of women in society; namely, she is an advocate for gender equality and women’s agency. The main theme of her tale is that women most desire “maistrie” and “soveraynetee.” In Modern English terms, she says that women most desire to have control and agency over themselves and their husbands. Although having “control” over one’s husband may seem problematic, the standard marriage dynamic of the time involved the husbands controlling their wives; the Wife’s ideas are simply a reversal of this standard. While a simple reversal of a problematic standard isn’t an ideal solution, it still shows the Wife’s passion for problematizing societal norms and changing the oppressive attitude toward women that was standard at the time.
More importantly than her advocacy for women’s “maistrie” over their husbands, the Wife advocates for women to have control over themselves. It is a well-known fact that men controlled women in many ways in the Middle Ages; women had very little say in anything. The Wife shows that she is passionate about making a change in this dynamic. Lines 321 and 322 read, “We love no man that taketh kep or charge wher that we goon; we wol ben at oure large.” To paraphrase these lines in modern English, the Wife is saying that a woman will not love a man who is concerned with where she goes or what she does; women will do as they please. She is saying that women should be treated as free and able to make their own decisions. This shows her passion for women’s autonomy and overall social progress.
The peak point in the Wife of Bath’s tale could easily be read as demeaning and offensive; we will call this the “antifeminist” reading for simplicity’s sake. At the climax of the tale, the knight is given a choice of his wife—a “witch” of sorts—being either loyal or beautiful. After he submits to her and allows her to choose, giving her “maistrie,” she says that she will be both loyal and beautiful. The “antifeminist” reading would say that this implies that all beautiful women are unfaithful, and that all loyal women are unattractive; only by magic can a woman be both loyal and beautiful. However, I disagree with this reading. In my interpretation, the transfer of “maistrie” symbolizes an agreement of equality. If men are oppressive toward women, they haven’t earned the right to a perfect wife. But if a husband treats his wife as equal to himself, allowing her to have agency, he has earned a wife that is both beautiful and loyal. I would dare to say that this tale is meant to show an incentive for changing the dynamic between men and women, showing the passion that the Wife of Bath has for social progress.
Now for the hard part: what can we infer about Chaucer’s values from the Wife of Bath and her tale? This is where there could be many different, but equally valid, answers; no one can really say for sure what Chaucer’s values were at the time of writing this tale, but we can make educated inferences based on textual evidence. The Wife of Bath is arguably the most interesting and intricate character in the Canterbury Tales; she is spunky, controversial, outspoken, and unashamed. It’s hard to tell what Chaucer’s views of women were, considering the wide range of values represented in the Wife of Bath and her tale. However, I think it’s safe to say that Chaucer saw women as complex creatures. It seems that he saw women as not just a body existing for the purposes of sexual pleasure and reproduction, but also an intricate mind full of complex thoughts, beliefs, and desires. I think it’s safe to say that, regardless of his views, Chaucer sparked a conversation among his readers about gender dynamics and social norms.

Gay Pied Pipers of “Polymorphous Perversity” Penetrate Schools
What do gay and transgender activists penetrating Britain’s schools have in common with the Jesuits?
Jesuits were said to take the attitude, “Give me the child for his first seven years, and I’ll give you the man.” Jesuit co-founder St Francis Xavier tweaked the axiom to: “Give me the child until he is seven and I care not who has him thereafter.”
Atheist missionary and pulpit thumper Richard Dawkins plumbs the potential of the Jesuitical proposition and points to “the useful gullibility of the child mind,” in The God Delusion. The Jesuit boast “is no less accurate (or sinister) for being hackneyed,” he agrees.
(function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:10817585113717094,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-7788-6480"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="//cdn2.lockerdomecdn.com/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs");
Gay activists have discovered the same truth. By fusing this Ignatian truism with the Freudian dogma of “polymorphous perversity,” the Pied Pipers of Stonewall are wreaking revenge on heterosexual conformity and leading our children into the Weser-like waters of sexual and moral morass, where they will drown like the mass of mesmerized rats, as in the dark legend of the Rat-Catcher of Hameln.
The bullying barrage of militant gay and transgender ideological activism would embarrass Soviet propaganda commissars for strategy and residents of Sodom and Gomorrah for shamelessness. Gayducation is now a non-negotiable item of the curriculum in British schools and who in Stonewall gives a fig if half of British children are leaving primary school unable to read and write properly?
The sexualization of our children is now a national pandemic, spreading like swine flu. Drop in at one of the Kama Sutra sessions offered by a local primary school in London and listen to 5-year-old children shouting “penis” and “vagina” like communist slogans and waving around Play-Doh models of lumpy genitalia they’ve made. Talk to Muslim academic Dr. Kate Godfrey-Faussett, a psychologist and Dialectical Behavior Therapist, who receives complaints from parents all over Britain about the pornification of the school curricula.
The pansexual proselytizers want our kids to be sexualized from Kindergarten. Lynnette Smith of Big Talk Education wants lessons to start “in nursery.” Five-year-olds at a London primary school are being taught about pornography, a BBC documentary reveals. Mick Manning and Brita Granström’s textbook How did I Begin? graphically explains procreation to 5+ years kids: “As they cuddled, your dad’s penis moved gently inside your mum’s vagina and the sperms flowed out.”
The eroticizers of education want to quarantine parents from the poison injected into their children. A 2010 Ofsted report found that schools rarely consult parents about sex education, even though the guidance encourages them to do so. Now that Ofsted has stepped up its inquisition against conservative schools, its recent report on sex education doesn’t mention consulting parents at all.
The golden coupling between sex and marriage is never mentioned. Only two commandments of safe sex and consent guide the discourse. “Making love is like skipping. You can’t do it all day long,” says the illustrated text Where did I come from? by Peter Mayle for 7+ years children. The Living and Growing DVD for 5-13-year-olds shows a group of little boys a public toilet where there’s a condom machine. “They have even got different flavors,” says a child in the film. Sex is as amoral and recreational as sit-ups and as multi-flavored as ice cream.
The goal is to brainwash kids into an anti-traditional family and promiscuously pansexual worldview. Seven-year-old children learn that anal intercourse is “sexual intercourse where a man puts his penis into another person’s anus” and oral sex is “using the mouth and tongue to lick, kiss or suck a partner’s genitals.” Subjects for discussion include homosexuality, bisexuality, abortion, rape, incest, sex abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and Aids.
Heather, who runs her own workshops in schools in East London, helps teens to discover sadomasochism. “Maybe you read a really hot bit of erotica while looking up Dominance and Submission. Maybe you saw some awesome strap-on porn or just found some cool looking sex toys you’d like to use,” she writes on her website, urging the child to share the discovery with their partner.
Apart from pushing its gay agenda pretending it is “creating an inclusive school environment,” Stonewall brainwashes toddlers with transgenderism: “Babies are given a gender when they are born. Trans is a word that describes people who feel the gender they were given as a baby doesn’t match the gender they feel themselves to be,” its literature advocates, thus reframing gender dysphoria as a chic identity badge.
Drag queens are brought into taxpayer-funded nursery schools to read nursery rhymes and sing songs so 2-year-olds can learn about gay and transgender issues. The Drag Queen Story Times website says it aims “to capture the imagination and fun of the gender fluidity of childhood while giving children a glamorous, positive unabashedly queer role model.” Transgender lifestyles and same-sex relationships should be “promoted” to children as young as two to reduce hate crime, says the National Union of Teachers (NUT).
Except for very few Catholic, Jewish and Muslim schools, faith schools are falling like ninepins before Aphrodite’s chariot, with the Church of England going out its way to garland the new cult of gayducation. Anglican bishop Stephen Cottrell tells the House of Lords that the “Church of England works closely with Stonewall,” while Catholic bishop Philip Egan attacks Stonewall for burying Britain’s “Christian patrimony” and proposing “Orwellian changes to our language” and “draconian restrictions on religious expression.”
Egan is right. Gayducation is unrelentingly absolutist. According to Shraga Stern, thousands of Charedi Jews will leave Britain unless ministers back down from forcing faith schools to teach children about gay and transgender relationships after the Education Department forcibly introduced “homosexuality, same-sex relationships and gender reassignment” lessons in classrooms. On Thursday, the head of Ofsted Amanda Spielman said that all children must learn about same-sex couples regardless of their religious background.
Confused parents are asking two questions. First, how did we begin sexualizing our children—not just providing them biological instruction about human reproduction, but eroticizing them into accepting deviant sexualities? Why is this junk touted as scientific?
Remember Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis? He designed the scaffolding for sexualization children. Children are “polymorphously perverse” he said. Before a child is educated in the conventions of civilized society, it will turn to bodily parts for sexual gratification and will not obey adult rules that determine perverse behavior. But traditional education will suppress the polymorphous possibilities for sexual gratification in the child, said Freud.
Sexologist Alfred Kinsey took this further claiming that even the tiniest of infants have the “capacity” for orgasm. Hence, sexual satisfaction is a childhood goal to be pursued. Kinsey’s theory of early childhood sexual development became the standard for sex education in schools. A scandal broke when Kinsey and his associates were accused of masturbating thousands of little children for scientific data to confirm Kinsey’s theory. Kinsey also claimed that 10-47% of Americans are gay. His two “findings” paved the way for gayducation.
Second, parents are asking why Pied Pipers of polymorphous perversity are not tolerant of real diversity. Why the bigotry and totalitarianism? Why are gay and transgender evangelists desperate and determined to convert innocent and impressionable minds to their cult of Eros (even though they hate “conversion therapy”)?
(function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:10817587730962790,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-5979-7226"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="//cdn2.lockerdomecdn.com/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs");
The gay liberation movement began with a libertarian argument. Leave us to do our thing. Western society then gave LGBTI+ folk freedom to do their thing. That wasn’t enough. The plea for tolerance became a demand for equality (and same-sex marriage). Equality implies that people are equal before the law. It doesn’t go far enough and sanctify certain practices as morally good. To achieve this goal, you’ve got to aggressively and subversively push for normalization—starting with the most malleable minds.
Children are powerless and offer the least resistance. Once you’ve have brainwashed them—you’ve got them for life. This is the goal of the sex education industry—as it milks the government (and taxpayer) for millions of pounds. “I have come to indoctrinate your children into my LGBTQ agenda (and I’m not a bit sorry),” says children’s author and activist S. Bear Bergman.
There will be pockets of resistance opposing your project for normalization and moral canonization. You’ve got to eliminate them by orchestrating a coup d’état and establishing totalitarian control. Even the tiniest resistance poses a threat. Why? Because the struggle between light and darkness is unequal (as the soaring prologue to the gospel of John poetically and philosophically portrays).
For darkness to triumph, it must be complete and total. “The light of a single candle, somewhere in the universe, defeats it; there is now light where formerly there was none,” writes Michael Walsh. “Either there is Light or there is not; there can be no synthesis.” The tiniest flicker of candlelight is sufficient to expose and unsettle the hegemony of darkness.
From September 2020, the state wants to make Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) and teaching LGBT+ concepts compulsory in all primary and secondary schools. StopRSE is resisting the darkness of polymorphous perversity. Parents of all faiths and none are lighting candles to help save our children. The debate on the new RSE will take place on Monday 25 February at 4.30 pm. You can sign the petition to Parliament demanding you choose what your child learns.
Parents of Hamelin! Your taxes are paying for the Pied Pipers of polymorphous perversity to lure your children into Des Teufels Lustschloss (The Devil’s Pleasure Palace). It’s time you sang to the state-funded Piped Pipers: “We don’t need no gayducation. Hey! Stonewall, leave our kids alone.”

The Condition For Man To Have Eternal Life

The Condition For Man To Have Eternal Life
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
It is bewildering isn’t it, that more than two thousand years after the death of Jesus Christ, Christians continue to display dismal ignorance in respect of the conditions for man to have eternal life. It follows then that Christians have not derived the necessary benefits from the Mission. The fact remains anyway that it was the events that happened in the Garden of Eden that necessitated the Mission of Jesus Christ. Christians must take note of the fact that Satan had his purpose for tempting Adam. Of course, he did not just stop at that. He took it upon himself to confuse the generality as to the true understanding of the implications of the events. To hit the nail on the head, Christians vehemently believe that the forbidden fruit was nothing else other than sexual relations. This is strange because the Bible is quite explicit on this.
The Bible tells us the purpose for which the LORD GOD created man. “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Genesis 1:26. It is noted worthy that following creating man, the Bible tells us in Genesis 1:28. “GOD blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’ ” It is obvious from this passage that the LORD GOD accords priority to man producing and filling up the earth over man fulfilling his purpose in creation. The only natural way for husband and wife to be fruitful, increase in number and contribute to filling the earth is through sexual relations without any hindrance to procreation. That rules out abortion, family planning, sexual relations between man and man, woman and another woman, and between human beings and animals. The abominable sexual practice by people described as gay cannot be from GOD. Otherwise, He would not have destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire. If these were from GOD, then He would be acting against His own interest, namely, that man should be fruitful, increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it. The LORD GOD is not equivocal in any way. In addition, there is no shred of evidence, however, that the LORD GOD imposed a moratorium or prohibited sexual activity between husband and wife at any point in time. On the contrary, the LORD GOD accorded priority to the sexual activity above everything else. What then was the forbidden fruit? We shall get to that in its good time.
We have now come to the important task we set for ourselves here: This is to establish the condition required for Adam and Eve to live in the Garden of GOD in Paradise. From there, we shall go on to establish that it is the same condition Jesus Christ says we have to fulfill before we can enter into the kingdom of GOD. It follows then that nothing has changed. In fact, the LORD GOD does not change. He says: “I the LORD do not change.” Malachi 3:6.
THE TREES
To start with, what we want to do is to establish the location of the Garden of Eden. The Bible says: “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of GOD.” Revelation 2:7. Since the Garden of Eden is in the spiritual, Adam was therefore spirit.
The first thing we want to know respecting the trees is what life meant in the first tree and what death meant in that commandment to Adam in respect of the second tree. If Adam had eaten the fruit of the tree of life, he would not have died in the spiritual in the Garden of Eden. Rather, he would have lived forever. Something must be in that tree that would have given eternal life to Adam. Let us find it out.
What do we know about eternal life? Jesus Christ says: “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the SON to have life in Himself.” John 5:26. We know then that only the ALMIGHTY GOD is the source of eternal life. We can establish the following facts:
1. Eternal Life is inherent in the LORD GOD.
2. The LORD GOD grants eternal life. Otherwise, you can’t have it.
Also, Jesus Christ says in John 4:24 that the LORD GOD is Spirit. In addition, Paul says: “For since the creation of GOD’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and Divine Nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20. In addition, the Bible says: “We know also that the Son of GOD has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true — even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true GOD and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20. We can then say of the LORD GOD that:
GOD is Spirit GOD is Divine GOD is Eternal Life
Respecting Adam,
Adam in spirit + Fruit of life –> Eternal Life
It becomes obvious then that the fruit of life is the Divine Nature of GOD.
The meaning of this is that by eating the fruit of life, the LORD GOD becomes part of man. The spirit man becomes born of Spirit.
Jesus Christ says the spirit of man is born of the Spirit of GOD. John 3:5&6.
Peter says that we participate in the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:4
Paul says that we each become a temple of the Living GOD. 2 Corinthians 6:16.
Life in the first fruit, therefore, means Eternal Life with the LORD GOD or in other words, life in the kingdom of GOD.
The second tree was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The LORD GOD commanded Adam not to eat from this tree or else he would die. It seems this tree was the converse of the former one. The one gives life; the other brings death. Let us remind ourselves that we have just established the fact that Adam was in spirit existence in the Garden of Eden. For Adam, activity in spirit existence was life with the LORD GOD. Death in the commandment, therefore, meant death or end of activity in the spiritual existence with the LORD GOD. This resulted in life with Satan in the physical nature of flesh and blood, a life doomed for destruction. Let us draw conclusions that are parallel to those we arrived at in respect of the fruit of life.
Adam in the spirit + Fruit of knowledge of good and evil –> Life in flesh and blood in the world Satan rules
Also, by eating the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, Satan became part of man. By eating it, a man was born of Satan, the first birth.
The next thing we want to know about the two trees is what each represented. The tree of life represented life in the spiritual and partaking in Divine Nature (2 Peter 1:4), which would result in eternal life. The converse of that, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, represented death in the spiritual and total exclusion from Divine Nature and eternal life.
The third thing we want to know about these two special trees is their point of difference. The second tree should provide us with a clue, as it was descriptive enough. This tree provided personal knowledge. We have already established the fact that these two trees were the converse of one another. If the tree that provided personal knowledge of good and evil was satanic and meant spiritual death, the converse of that, the tree of life, was for divine knowledge of good and evil besides eternal life.
We can now sum everything up and say that if Adam had eaten the fruit of the tree of life, he would have embraced Divine Nature and thereby allowed the Spirit of the LORD GOD to endow him with the knowledge of good and evil and influence his decisions in choosing good or evil. The consequence of this would have been unity and eternal life in the spiritual with the LORD GOD. On the other hand, Adam ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and gained instant knowledge to the total exclusion of the influence of the LORD GOD. This was a rejection of Divine Nature and eternal life. All of these resulted in unity with Satan in flesh and blood in the domain of Satan.
ETERNAL LIFE
From what we have been saying about the trees, we can establish the conditions man has to fulfill in order to have Eternal Life. Really and truly, there are only two: 1. Man must have the active life in the spiritual. 2. Man must participate in the Divine Nature. Obviously, eternal life is a spiritual affair. As has been established, death in that commandment to Adam was death to eternal life in the spiritual. Sadly, it follows that man in flesh and blood remains dead to the process of eternal life. Therefore, eternal life is out of consideration for the man in flesh and blood. The Bible says: “I declare to you brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of GOD, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” 1 Corinthians 15:50. But there is still hope for rectification for man. The sole purpose of the Mission of Jesus Christ is to revive the man in the spirit and, all other things being equal, come to eternal life.
THE REASON WHY ADAM DIED IN THE GARDEN
In complete disregard of what the Bible says, many are always too ready to say that Adam died in the Garden of Eden because he disobeyed. But this is what the Bible says: “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil, you will eat of it all the days of your life…..Genesis 3:17-19.
However, regarding the death in the Garden or the banishment, this is what the Bible says: “And the LORD GOD said, ‘The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live for ever.’ So the LORD GOD banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.” Genesis 3:22&23. It becomes crystal clear that the reason Adam had to die in the Garden of Eden was that he possessed personal and not divine knowledge of good and evil. Personal knowledge of good and evil leads to self-righteousness. On the other hand, divine knowledge of good and evil leads to the righteousness of GOD. We shall now show from the Bible that this is the same as the teaching of Jesus Christ.
THE CONDITION SET BY JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus Christ says: “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20. The Bible says in Philippians 3:6 that a Pharisee is faultless in his observance of the law. In this regard, the Pharisees were the limit of human achievement. The righteousness that will surpass that is the righteousness of GOD. Jesus Christ says in addition: “But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:26&27.
On his part, Paul says: “By this Gospel, you are saved if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:2. Part of his teaching is: “But now a righteousness from GOD apart from the law has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from GOD comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” Romans 3:21&22. We shall have time to elaborate on the testimony of the Law and the Prophets on another occasion. For now, it is sufficient to know that the Law refers to the Books of Moses and the Psalms.
It follows then that your belief in Jesus Christ must earn for you the righteousness of GOD. If it doesn’t, Jesus says you are a foolish builder. Paul says that you have believed in vain. This is exactly the same condition that would have resulted had Adam eaten the fruit of life. The LORD GOD does not change. As the condition for man to have the eternal life was in the beginning so it is now and for evermore shall it be. Q.E.D.
Given this, it is most curious that the importance and the significance of the tree of life have not been properly grasped or evaluated by the majority of Christians. For the man, eating the fruit of the tree of life is the sine qua non for eternal life in the kingdom of GOD. This means that part of the LORD GOD would become part of man. As it was for Adam in the beginning in the Garden of Eden, so it is still for us today and forever more shall it be. In its good time, we shall duly explain in full how Jesus Christ has come into the show.
Man now lives in flesh and blood without any opportunity for eternal life. It is unfortunate that in ignorance, Christians still nurse the hope that by their obedience to the law and strict adherence to their lists of dos and don’ts, they shall be righteous enough to enter into the kingdom of GOD. Surely, they shall find themselves in fool’s paradise.
The Bible says: “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.” Galatians 5:4. We shall explain in detail the grace of salvation later. “Clearly no one is justified before GOD by the law, because, ‘The righteous will live by faith.’ ” Galatians 3:11. That the righteous will live by faith was in fact prophesied by Habakkuk: “But the righteous will live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4
The Bible tells us about Noah: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with GOD.” Genesis 6:9. Noah, of course, had no access to divine knowledge of good and evil. He inherited, as we all do, personal knowledge from Adam. As we have shown from the Bible, that is incompatible with life in the kingdom of GOD. We must have the righteousness of GOD.
Due to the death of Adam in the Garden of Eden, the fruit of the tree of life is no more accessible to man. Jesus Christ says: “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of GOD unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” John 3:5. This is a technical language for the practical details. Baptism in water, when properly done, unites one with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. Romans 6:3-10; Colossians 2:12. That one is born of Water. Jesus Christ resurrected into the Spiritual. Being born of water implies forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with the Father and a come back to life in the spiritual. One can now be born of the Spirit or led by the Spirit to do the will of GOD. That one has eaten the fruit of life which Adam did not eat. Nothing has changed.
SUMMARY
It is impossible to over emphasize the importance of these two trees. Immediately after the creation of man, the issue that confronted him was that of the two trees in the middle of the Garden. It is not by coincidence that the Bible ends on the issue of the fruit of life. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14. The Book of Revelation is highly symbolical: Washing of robes is baptism in water and the city is, of course, the Kingdom of GOD. We shall, therefore, give the trees the attention they deserve by going over that aspect at the next opportunity. All the same, let us summarize what has been presented here.
The Garden of Eden was in Paradise. Rev. 2:7. Therefore, Adam was a spirit. He was passive in his physical nature of flesh and blood. The two fruits were the opposite of one another.
THE FRUIT OF LIFE
1 This fruit was the Divine Nature of GOD.
2. Life here meant eternal life in the spiritual nature.
3. If Adam had eaten it, part of the LORD GOD would become part of the spirit man leading to unity.
4. In that case, the man in his spiritual nature is born of the Spirit of GOD. (This will now happen only after man has been revived in his spirit through Jesus Christ. Then man is born again, born the second time.)
5. A man active in his spiritual nature is led by the Spirit of GOD to do the will of GOD and have the righteousness of GOD. The same condition Jesus Christ advocates.
THE FRUIT OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL
1. This fruit was satanic in nature.
2. Death in the commandment meant death in the spiritual nature resulting in life in flesh and blood. Also, it was death to eternal life.
3. Adam ate this and part of Satan became part of man in flesh and blood. This led to unity between Satan and man.
4. The man is born of Satan: the first birth.
5. A man active in his physical nature of flesh and blood does his own will. His obedience to the law as well as his list of dos and don’ts earn for his self-righteousness. The same as the righteousness of the Pharisee and the teachers of the law.
By eating it, the man was born of Satan, the first birth.
Therefore, eternal life is out of consideration for a man in flesh and blood.
On his part, Paul says: “By this Gospel, you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:2. Part of his teaching is: “But now the righteousness from GOD apart from the law has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
The Condition For Man To Have Eternal Life

The Condition For Man To Have Eternal Life
It is bewildering isn’t it, that more than two thousand years after the death of Jesus Christ, Christians continue to display dismal ignorance in respect of the conditions for man to have eternal life.
“Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Genesis 1:26. It is note worthy that following creating man, the Bible tells us in Genesis 1:28. In addition, there is no shred of evidence however, that the LORD GOD imposed a moratorium or prohibited sexual activity between husband and wife at any point in time. On the contrary, the LORD GOD accorded priority to sexual activity above everything else.

Life in the first fruit therefore means Eternal Life with the LORD GOD or in other words, life in the kingdom of GOD.
The second tree was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The LORD GOD commanded Adam not to eat from this tree or else he would die. It seems this tree was the converse of the former one. The Bible tells us about Noah: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with GOD.” Genesis 6:9. Noah of course had no access to divine knowledge of good and evil.
We shall therefore give the trees the attention they deserve by going over that aspect at the next opportunity.
2. Life here meant eternal life in the spirit nature.
3. If Adam had eaten it, part of the LORD GOD would become part of the spirit man leading to unity.
4. In that case, man in his spirit nature, is born of the Spirit of GOD. (This will now happen only after man has been revived in his spirit through Jesus Christ. Then man is born again, born the second time.)
5. Man active in his spirit nature, is led by the Spirit of GOD to do the will of GOD and have the righteousness of GOD. The same condition Jesus Christ advocates.
THE FRUIT OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL
1. This fruit was satanic in nature.
2. Death in the commandment meant death in the spirit nature resulting in life in flesh and blood. Also, it was death to eternal life.
3. Adam ate this and part of Satan became part of man in flesh and blood. This led to unity between Satan and man.
4. Man is born of Satan: the first birth.
5. Man active in his physical nature of flesh and blood does his own will. His obedience to the law as well as his list of dos and don’ts earn for him self-righteousness. The same as the righteousness of the Pharisee and the teachers of the law.

Morning Pages #20 (26.01.2017)
Thursday 26th Jan - 9:30 a.m.
Happy Invasion Day! It’s interesting to see which of my white-Australian friends refer to today as ‘Australia Day’ and which refer to it as it’s perhaps rightful term. I am a little ashamed though, I have to admit, because the City of Whittlesea has the most fantastic fireworks show every Australia Day, and my family have always attended it. Actually, I haven’t attended it for the past two or three years now, because this time last year I was camping in Robinvale with Ikaros, and the year before that I was in Sri Lanka. And the year before that I was in high school, starting year twelve and I was depressed as all hell and rarely left the house. If I were to go this year, it would be the end of that streak, but I would also be rewarded by a superb fireworks display. Ah, I think I might boycott the display today.
Marcus is also hosting Inkblot’s Housewarming for the opening of their new creative space in Coburg. That starts at 2 p.m., and I honestly don’t know if I’ll go yet. I think I might, but it’s 9:34 a.m. now and I am yet to wash, brush, eat, or clean the apartment or anything. And considering that this is my last day off before my show runs, I desperately need today to get Emily’s place in order for her before she gets back. It’s honestly all looking a pretty decent shape right now, really. I just need to vac again, clean the litter boxes, maybe scrub down the bathtub and remove all my drain hair. Maybe mop the kitchen a little. And I should strip the bed down and put my towel and my used sheets in a hamper for her. I just don’t think I’ll have time to wash them on my own, I hope she doesn’t mind. To make up for that, I think I might buy her a bottle of wine and those affogato ice creams I saw in the freezer when I moved in. Okay, there was one affogato ice cream and I ate it! Because there was only one! Actually, just the wine should be fine, right?
I was supposed to go out last night too. See, I started this year saying that I would seize all opportunities, but this week alone I didn’t go to the writer’s meetup in Brunswick, dinner with my family and Hashini akka’s family in the city, and now I might even bail on Marcus. To be honest with you, I think I might still be a little shaken from the sexual assault. It was nearly two weeks ago now, but I don’t know, I’m still sick and I’ve been exhausted lately. And my period is still late. That’s another thing I need to tell you about: yesterday I did my first ever home pregnancy test. I called Ikaros up a little after five, after my rehearsal, and told him I felt weird all of yesterday and that I think it would be best to do a pregnancy test. He agreed, and said he would be right over. I met him at Northcote station at 6:30 p.m. on the dot (he had just come back from the gym so he wanted to shower and stuff first, which is understandable because he works out very hard), and then we went to Chemist’s Warehouse and bought two different tests. We ran back to the apartment (briskly walked) because I really needed to pee (in preparation for the tests), and I immediately sat on the toilet and held that little stick midstream. We then waited for three minutes, talking about the possibility of us potentially having kids someday.
A couple of months back, we agreed that despite not liking the idea of procreating in general, the idea of procreating with EACH OTHER was somewhat more desirable. We thought the combination of our genes would be ace. And we still do. We made up this fictional future where I end up marrying a gay Spanish poet named Carlos for my parents’ sake, and then end up living with Carlos and Ikaros and some other people. Carlos never screws me and I spend all my sexual energy on Ikaros and end up carrying his babies, and we pass the babies off as Carlos’ babies to my parents. THAT IS until one of the little things comes out with a head full of ginger hair (Ikaros hopes), and gives Ikaros away as the real baby daddy. And my parents just grow to accept that I love him. I don’t know, he might be my real love. He might not be. But I’m open to whatever the universe has in store for me, and for us. And for Carlos.
I took another pregnancy test this morning, at around 6:30 a.m., and that one also came back negative like the first one. They both came back negative right away, really. The rectangle had a purple line through it, but the circle had no pink line. Verdict: not pregnant.
It was an interesting experience, though. The anxiety I felt the hours before was almost debilitating. I realised my fears during the tech run we had yesterday afternoon. It was four hours long and I had to pee twice and I thought that was odd. Then I spent most of my time backstage, which was very dusty and cold and triggered a few coughing fits in me. Then I started to feel light-headed and dizzy, very scarily out of it, and that’s when I started looking back on all my weird symptoms these past two weeks, and realised that I was very afraid. The way home from the chemist, I was telling Ikaros that I wasn’t ready to have an abortion. It’s not like I’m ready to have a baby either, but funnily enough, I felt more terrified at the prospect of getting an abortion than I was about getting pregnant. I think it’s because once you see a positive test at my age, your only responsible next step IS an abortion, and preparation for that procedure becomes your reality. Thankfully, it did not become my reality yesterday.
It’s 9:56 a.m.. I took a little break from writing to clean my ears out. They tend to get blocked up during a cold, and during humidity, and because it’s summer and I’m sick they have been rather blocked up lately. At least I’m not making it worse by listening to music, because my earphones were totalled on Tuesday! But I will say that I’ve been speeding through these pages lately, like the first couple of weeks it took me a good hour or so to get all three pages down, and here I am now at the bottom of page two in just a half hour. I think I know why too.
Despite the fact that I both love and miss him immensely right now, I think breaking up with Ikaros was the best thing for both of us. I think it’s actually even opened me up a little more, creatively speaking. I said this before, but before the break up I had to write hard truths about him and it was tricky to put myself in that kind of state of mind first thing every morning, because I hadn’t been honest with him. And what good is it being honest with myself about some other person, when I’m not addressing that other person and thus that honesty travels nowhere? These next couple of months are going to be difficult, I recognise that now. In fact, I recognised that in late October of last year. But I have to bear in mind, that it could’ve been a lot more difficult. We are essentially taking the healthiest steps we can take here. We are being incredibly smart about this breakup, to the point that it only feels like a breakup because we’ve called it that. If anything, it feels less like a breakup and more like making a new lifelong friend. We’re going to Gong De Lin on Sunday, and he also said he wanted to go and see the new M. Night Shyamalan film, ‘Split’. I’m a little iffy about Split, to be honest with you, because it seems to trivialise a real mental illness (multiple personality disorder) and then demonises it, turns it into a malevolent disease. Ikaros said he’d pay though.
I need a job! I am going to keep looking the SECOND I’m back in Mill Park. I’m going to print out a whole bunch of resumes on Sunday or Monday morning, head into the city and walk up and down Faraday Street as I’ve been meaning to do. If I can get a hospitality gig that close to uni, it would honestly make my year already. And I’m graduating this year! OH SHIT ANOTHER THING. I totally forgot to mention this and I find it ludicrous (great rapper) that I did, because it was such a big deal for me when I read about it on Tuesday.
I checked my student email after months of inactivity, because we’re getting closer to the start of the semester and I wanted to be at least a little bit on top of my timetabling. I received an email from the head of The University of Melbourne’s School of Geography, encouraging me to do my honours or my masters within the school! THEY WANT ME. I can most definitely do my masters in Environments or even Environmental Science if I want! I DON’T HAVE TO DO JOURNALISM! I CAN DO SOMETHING WORTHWHILE. This is what I’ve been hoping for for the past two years now. Of course, I still think I should head in to Stop 1 at some point and talk to a student advisor about my options. I have a 72 GPA, so...wait, is it called GPA here? I’ve logged onto my.unimelb, and have just found out that class registration for third years is on the 31st of January at 10 a.m.. Should I write my morning pages before or after this? Probably after, right? Okay, sorted. I’m just checking my results page now, to see exactly what my ‘GPA’ is. It’s loading, it always takes ages. Anyway, as long as I do fairly well in all my subjects this year and not fail anything, I’ll most definitely be eligible for honours in the School of Geography. Considering a good portion of my subjects this year are also taught by the School of Geography, this is certainly looking to be an entirely open avenue for me to follow. Actually, maybe I should take MORE geography subjects this year, just to put myself in an even more favourable position as an honours candidate. I know I have at least two, and they’re both in first semester. And maybe one in second. I could drop ancient greek and take up another geography class. We’ll see when this page loads!
