the question is. is there a part of marc that is pleased that he managed to provoke vale into the kick... is there a part of him that feels like he "won" because he laid vale bare like that for all to see (god hello it really is sex)

i mean he wanted a reaction right. that’s the whole reason he’s doing what he’s doing the whole race. marc wants vale to KNOW that he’s made an enemy. that a page has turned. that he won’t roll over. and that he WASNT an enemy before, because ACTUALLY he’s been treating vale just like any other rider (lmao. was he though) before all this fucking DRAMA but NOW it’s different. like marc has basically admitted to the antagonism there, that’s not a mystery. and the battle is CRAZY. undeniable. frenetic. chaotic. marc is all over him. cutting in front of him. even LESS manners than normal he’s like. you cannot IGNORE ME. i won’t ALLOW IT. a demand of acknowledgment of hurt. teaching a lesson that vale sees only as violence. clymnestra ass. and the tension builds. lap after lap, corner after corner, as the overtakes get more and intense and pointed until vale gives in. refuses to treat marc like any other racer. and the tension boils, and a foot slips. and when marc slides into the dirt maybe it feels a little like a kiss
