Carys Alina OC Questions

Carys probably had some innate magic always that wasn't able to manifest in her world. However, during the Underworld/Book 6 incident, it seemed to come to the surface. It was very overwhelming at first. She can Overblot, but I see it as a like, optional story line.

For the most part, yes. I think the biggest differences from the canon game's timeline would be during Book 3, 6 and 7. She is a bit more proactive than Yuu in them.

Yes. I will kiss Malleus and if I have to Frankenstein my way into the game to do it I will.

Homesick? Yes. Very much so. But also extremely conflicted because, despite everything, she's grown attached to TW and her friends there, and doesn't know if she's capable of choosing one over the other. At this point, she's given up on Crowley getting them back.

She does everything she can to make Ramshackle a safe haven for herself and her friends. It's not much, but it *is* home. As for coping at the beginning... there was a lot of crying and a lot of anxiety.

Big Sister Instincts activated instantly for Grim and Ortho.

Books 6 and 7 are big on character growth, or at least making the already present fear and conflict of choosing between worlds (and the guilt of not being able to help her friends) really start taking their toll.

Carys and Malleus' first impressions with each other are much like the original game, I imagine.

A lot of her/my strengths/flaws are related to being a Highly Sensitive Person (an actual thing! It's a type of divergence, which I only learned recently). Highly observant, deeply feeling and empathetic, but also easily overwhelmed and anxious.

Flat on his chest but still struggling to move, dragging himself down the alley, as if he was trying to make it to the sidewalk on the other side. It was much too far, but he was still trying-- there’s a man in a suit standing there, smoking a cigarette, his hands in his pockets as he waited by the curb. For a car, it seems. Kaiba wanted to get to him before that car arrived, as if he had any idea what he’d do if actually did catch up. Probably get pummeled into the pavement again.

It's Kaiba's own fault, for getting caught off-guard like this. Everything ached, even worse when he tried to move or get up, and he could taste blood-- it was trickling down from his mouth in a thin stream. But he couldn't let himself pass out. Not until... until he made that bastard pay...!

When he heard Yugi's voice, it didn't even feel real. The world around him was dark, and felt like it was swimming. "Yugi..." He whispered, eyes wide yet struggling to focus. Hahh... He must've taken too many blows to the head... Why would he dream or imagine him, though? Why would he want Yugi to be here?

Oh, that's right. He didn't. Yugi was just about the last person he wanted to see him like this. And the sheer spite of that sent a jolt to his muscles, suddenly trying harder to push himself upright. "Hhrrk...! I... I'm...!" He was about to say 'I'm fine,' but that was far from the truth-- he was shaking from the effort. Even spite could only fuel him so much, when his body felt like it was full of broken glass. He almost got up to kneeling before the strength in his arms gave out, collapsing onto his forearms. "Gwuf--!" Dammit! Come on...! He didn't need to give Yugi reason to laugh and look down on him! Like he actually believed that's what Yugi came all the way here to do.

"Yugi... He..." He wouldn't ask for help. Seto Kaiba refused to ever ask anyone for help, or rely on another soul. This wasn't asking for help. It was stating facts, nothing more. "He-- He... took... my..."

Kaiba's hand drifted, gesturing to the brown cord dangling around his neck. There was a silver loop on the end-- No card pendant. That part had been torn off, by the man that had attacked him. Not many people knew, but he used that pendant as a keycard to access some of the secret entrances and exits around KaibaCorp. That's why someone would want it. It's not why Kaiba needed it back. The photo of Mokuba it held was one of a kind-- there were no copies. He'd been so careless, letting it get stolen, and he hated himself for it. Hated even more, the idea that he was asking Yugi to fix it. “Just-- Just go,” he forced out, trying to push himself onto his feet again, but it was no use. As if Yugi would actually just leave Kaiba to fend for himself.

The man on the other side still had his back to them, as if he didn’t hear the commotion. Or just pretending-- bastard probably wanted to act like he wasn't involved.
