Wish people would stop tagging my BG3+shitpost things with Hira and Astarion as Durge x Astarion. Cuz no I did that myself. The parallels? I made them up in my head. Hira's bloodthirst and lowkey suicidal vibes? I did those all on my own. No canon or Bhaal needed. I'm just spicy like that with my own thoughts and headcanons.

#'durge and astarion are canon because they have so many parallels!' babygirl i have made up parallels you couldn't dream of #apparently literally judging by how samey some of y'all's durges are. which i guess is one downside to playing durge #they've all got the same problems and similar backstories innit #bg3 #dl maybe #although i will say i lucked out heavily by accidentally picking charlatan for hira #cuz i literally had a gameplay-enforced parallel built into the story from the start #and i also happened into a bunch of other parallels by accident #the mephistopheles ritual sacrifice thing? accident. hiraeth is a mephisto tiefling and it made sense to tie it back to him #the scapegoat sibling/runt of the litter thing? accident. holdover from a d&d oc that came with the ritual sacrifice #they both have scars on their necks and infernal written on their bodies which was intentional for hira but i only recently realized #is a funny coinkydink
