LIKE. of COURSE realistically racism is going to exist, but to have both places have such huge conflicts and be portrayed as the "Evil" towards the primarily white area is a bit ............. bad. it's bad. fire emblem needs to be better. adding one person of color per house isnt going to magically make the game's own racism disappear. doesn't matter how much "discussion" they have surrounding it either, theres still bias and prejudice seen in the game itself

like they rly gave petra an irish last name? making people doubt that brigid is most certainly inspired by polynesia? they clearly did their research when designing her, so why didnt they do more when naming? it just doesn't make any sense.

300 wasnt really about John imo. It was about Sam&Dean getting what they needed. Sam got to talk with his father and get closure on something that caused him a lot of pain. And Dean came to the realization that he's okay with his life and his choices, despite John. I thought it was great for the boys' characterization. Also, children of abuse often love their parents despite the abuse. I dont think they were saying John was a great dad, they were just portraying the relationship realistically.

No, it wasn't about John, but I disliked how his character was handled, but I hated even more that Dean didn't get a cathartic moment with him.

I know that having an abusive parent makes things complicated. When you're a kid, you idolize that parent, even when they hurt you, and as you grow up, you develop conflicting feelings. You feel anger, hurt, frustration and fear, but also love, a twisted and a broken concept of love because said parent has been abusive to you, but once in a while shows you love, and you accept it, because you crave it.

But those rare displays of love don't compensate all the hurt that an abusive parent did and still does.

Look, I get that both Sam and Dean need to move on from their past, from all the shitty things John did to them. I get they want to forgive him, so they can let go of the past, but they also need to let out all that hurt, pain and anger they have been holding for so long, especially Dean, and I think the 300th episode did a terrible job at that.

For me, it felt like the writers just wanted to have John and they decided to forget all the awful stuff he did and act sympathetic. This is a man that brainwashed his kids to become soldiers, who didn't show up when Dean called him im s1, that didn't answer the phone when Dean was dying in Faith, a man who argued with Sam all the time and made sure to make Dean feel like crap every chance he got.

I wish the writers would have addressed John's past abuse instead of making everything feel like everything was okay when it wasn't. I wish that Dean would have had a cathartic moment. I loved that Dean said that he was happy with who he was, with who they were, but Dean deserves to let out all the shit regarding John he's been locking inside him for an eternity.

And also, John needs to hear about how much he hurt his sons, both mentally and physically, instead of being easily forgotten. Yeah, Sam and Dean need to forgive him to finally let it go and move on, but that doesn't mean they have to forget what their shitty dad did to them.
