My Brother’s Keeper/Ruixiong Saves Christmas?

Despite the prison catching on fire, Ruixiong was able to stave off some of the flames by kicking up some air with his levitation gift. But he can only keep himself and Phoebus alive from the smoke and convection for so long.

"Cough! Cough!! Phoebus! Guy!!"

"I'm here!" Phoebus cries out. "Quick! I see a way out!!"

"Where?!"

"That hole over there! I just saw it collapse! Let's beat it!"

Although the entire building is burning down, miraculously, no one else was hurt--the guards and other prisoners were able to escape before anyone could have gotten anything further than a few first-degree burns and some smoke in their lungs. But nothing happened to anyone they wouldn't be able to recover from.

"Whew! Do you detect any deaths?"

"I don't... How incredible. Guy was in the state of mind to be sure no one got hurt despite the outburst."

"That is good, definitely, but-

"....Phi!! The Tio de Nadal!!”

"Wh-" Phoebus turns back to the hole of the building he and Ruixiong raced out of. To his dismay.... the little log is burning into cinders. "Nooo!! The Caga Tio!!"

Emerging from the smoke after blending into it through his fog form is none other than Captain Frascona himself--the very Captain the three men ran from the ship in hopes to fix their mistake. Do you have any other fashion thoughts you want to elaborate on? You’ve talked a bit about Draco and Hermione’s fashion, what about Harry or Ron?

Aw, yeah! I'll preface this by saying that the following is a combination of canon and headcanon; some of this is evidenced in the text of the fic, but some of it probably isn't, it's just something that's in my head when describing them.

Harry's pretty small in Lionheart, as a consequence of chronic malnutrition in childhood mixed with a genetic predisposition to it (James is canonically a short king, cf. "Hairy Little Christmas.") That means a lot of his muggle clothes don't fit well, being hand-me-downs from Dudley; in contrast, his school robes, which we know he got tailored at Malkin's, seem to fit normally (i.e., Harry fits better in the magical world, it's his home, it suits him). In general, Harry's fashion is "adequate, but not great," which makes sense; he never had the chance to choose his own clothes growing up, and then he went to boarding school with a uniform, so when would he develop a sense of style? Honestly, it's a relief for him to have one fewer decisions to make.

Like Ron, Harry's uniform isn't super meticulous, but he seems to make an effort. He does his tie and keeps his shirt clean, etc. (which makes sense; Harry cares about belonging here). When we see Harry out of uniform, he's usually wearing baggy t-shirts and jeans, which are the least nice clothes you could give to someone while still expecting them to last; they're also clothes that fit loose and hang long on his body (very late-80's + early 90's).

Ron, on the other hand, doesn't have any qualms about belonging in the magical world; he was born to it. This manifests as a laziness with his robes. He doesn't bother with his tie as much, if at all, and when he does it's not the right knot (Draco points it out in Book 3); since he's the brother of not one but two Head Boys, we have to assume that's deliberate, or that at some extent his lack of attention is a deliberate manifestation of something. Ron is youngest boy, he has self-esteem issues, and the way this manifests is by Ron never asking for anything and then getting sour when nothing goes his way. He doesn't try, so he can't feel bad when he fails. Besides which, when Ron does try to dress nice, it backfires; it's either an uncomfortable costume, like in "Operation Prewett," or it's a horrible hand-me-down, e.g. the Yule Ball outfit. Contrast him with the other Weasley boys, many of whom — especially the three oldest — have their own cultivated aesthetics, because they all know who they are. Ron is figuring that out, and it manifests in stylistically messy ways.

Could you stop and think for once before doing something, especially when you already know that Day likes you romantically?! You already knew that you could not reciprocate his feelings so you decided to lie and pretend hoping it would make Day feel better?? What kind of rationalizing is this? Dude, c'mon.

Day is not just dealing with his romantic feelings here and you cannot just assume that you can fill in a role temporarily just to give him good memories and feelings. NOBODY FEELS GOOD BEING LIED TO. Take your pity and stuff it up your ass. I cannot feel any sympathy for him. If you want to make Day feel good and happy be genuine about it. It's very simple.

If you already knew that you did not like him that way, then why did you initiate that kiss?

Did Day confess directly to you so you felt the need to take some action? NO.

Did Day tell you that he had a crush on someone and you were scared of losing him? NO.

Then why would you kiss him and then reject him when he kisses back? What tomfoolery is this? Are you living in your imagination and you think your actions have no consequences? Did you suddenly think that by kissing him things would naturally fall into place? NO AUGUST. THAT'S NOT HOW LOVE WORKS.

i know i said before that the show insisting that there’s this ideological divide between battling and catching pokemon was really dumb, but man i do think they had something with goh being so put off by battles. he’s an introverted guy who prefers isolation, and he’s never properly done a trainer battle, he’s got fresh new pokemon who didn’t fight much- and his new friend entered him in this big shot tournament, surrounded by thousands of people, without his knowledge or consent, and so he gets swept by someone with a lot more experience, and so he gets completely and utterly humiliated. you can clearly see how upset he is later on and i think it does make sense for him to resist battling where he can cause he’s afraid of that same humiliation. if he battled in a more private setting with someone on his level, i don’t think he’d have been so resistant after this. and it was interesting to see this part of him clash with scorbunny later on, who got more interested in battling but wasnt allowed to do it as much.

it’s too bad the writers forgot about that though lol
