More Johnalthea goodness I was excited to share with you all but this time, in the form of a beautifully breathtaking three-page comic, done by none other than the lovely and sweet @jaguardorado16~โจ๐ This masterpiece of a commission was heavily inspired by the demo version of Wish's 'At All Costs' and this amazing fan storyboard/animatic as seen here ๐ Although the movie is mostly reviewed as mediocre itself (despite the hidden references, secrets and easter eggs to other Disney classics) this song I really enjoy listening to~๐To me, it really gives off John Dory x Amalthea vibes (hence it being their love song list๐) it really fits them~๐๐ You cannot imagine how truly over the moon I am to have this wonderfully romantic and memorable moment between John and Ama brought magically to life~๐ชโจ๐ฅนI am absolutely love, love, LOVING every single part and page to the stars and heavens above -LITERALLY~!!๐๐๐ฅฐ๐๐ฅฐ๐๐ Every time I look at them this way - dancing and singing amongst the stars together, the song always plays in my head, it's absolutely perfect...EEEEEEE~!!๐คฉ๐๐๐๐คฉAnd it's great to see Broppy witnessing the beautiful moment too~๐๐ฉท๐

I talk to some people on here on a weekly basis now, and tbh those connections have not only fueled my creativity to keep writing, but have also just made me happier as a person. Oh God lol. Like I said, I've had a rough year personally. But in 3 words?
Exhausting. Painful. Creative.
I've been mentally, physically, emotionally exhausted for the better part of 9 months. I've been in physical pain and discomfort for much of that time and have had 2 surgical procedures, countless doctor visits, and too many life changes to list.
But through all of that, I feel like I've also done some of my most creative writing in 2023-2024 than ever before, including starting a Patreon, and dipping back into writing the fantasy romance novel I've been working on since grad school. Use the pain, I guess. ๐

It's changed over the years depending on my fixations, but right now (and for the past 2 years), it's definitely Dean freakin' Winchester.

I have a few WIPs that are already drafted and in the editing phases for next year -- including all of my remaining fics for @jacklesversebingo. (Jacklesverse Bingo24 Masterlist here!)

Break Me Down (Soldier Boy x Reader): Their son's first birthday, with a flashback to their wedding day.
Unravel Me (Soldier Boy x POC!Reader): The prequel series to Lost in Translation, in which Ben meets the reader (afro Latina).
Every Second Counts (Russell Shaw x Reader): Can Russell make good on his promise to "get out" and start his brewery? (AKA: his past comes knocking, and might just put the reader in danger. Diving deeper into the Shaw family history too.)
Take Me Home (Beau Arlen x Reader): @luci-in-trenchcoats put the idea of Beau and the reader from this series getting married into my head, and I feel like it would be a fun and somewhat angsty road to get there lol.

but YES, i absolutely have been drafting out an idea for this so Iโm gonna tell you just a litttttttle bit about it ๐คญ
so basically, it starts off the morning of the day he dies, with reader and joel going through their morning together like itโs any other day. enjoying each otherโs company and just relishing in each otherโs warmth, enjoying the domestic bliss of doing all of the mundane little morning things, more than happy to just be together before joel has to leave for the day to go out on patrol with tommy. it starts out super sweet and fluffy and a little bit smutty
oh and the reader has someโฆ news that sheโs been wanting to tell joel, waiting for just the right moment.. that never comes ๐ฅฒ๐คญ
