You fell asleep early the night before. You mostly ignored Jason's looks of concern and "are you sure you're ok?"s. You were fine. Just tired.

Until you woke up.

You don't immediately open your eyes. Your eyes and throat somewhat burned. Unusual. And now that you think about it, the rest of your body feels like it's freezing. Your head feels like it's tumbling stones in a washing machine and that doesn't even make sense, but you want to cry.

You try to open your eyes but the light from the window forces you to immediately close them. You're so cold, but your arms are too heavy to move. Your headache is pounding and you're freezing and you're whole body aches and a million other things. Thinking about it doesn't help and you can't help the pitiful sound that escapes you. It sounds more like a cry than anything else. You feel something move and the bed next to you and it makes you dizzy. For a moment, you can't register anything other than your discomfort.

The next thing you know, Jason is leaning over you. His hand rubs gentle circles over the small of your back.

"Shh. You're ok. You're alright."

You don't know how you forgot that Jason was here. Your head is just so fuzzy and everything hurts. Another whine escapes and you almost shed a tear at the nausea.

His other hand comes up to sweep your hair to the side. He presses his lips to your forehead on a chaste kiss. "Sugar, you're burning up." His warmth leaves you as you hear him move around the apartment. He can't have been gone for more than a minute, but you swear the noise the opening and closing of the cabinets lasts for hours.

You feel his lovely warmth back at your side soon enough. A hand slips underneath you and you think he's just going to keep rubbing your back, but the other hand goes to your waist and together they push you up and you think you might die. "Sit up for me. C'mon. There you go." His hands steal their warmth back and you'd curse them if you could, but in the next second a pill is being pressed to your lips. "Take this for me." You don't even have it in you to think of protesting. You take the pill in your mouth and then he presses a cool bottle to your lips. "We have to wash it down." You try to bring your hand up to help him but you're too weak to hold the drink up alone. "I gotcha. There you go." He takes the drink back and you mourn its absence, but that doesn't last long before his arms draw you close to his body. Your head rests against his stomach as he asks "are you cold?"

You make a sound that is supposed to be affirmative and he curses.

"Shit. I told you you were getting sick." Its aimed more at himself than you and even if you did want to object, you couldn't get the words out. "Do you think you could keep down something down?" You shake your head no against his stomach. "Ok. Can I make you something just in case?"

"Don' leave."

He sighs and runs his fingers through your hair.

San is practically at your beck and call anyway 🥲 man is whipped and just so in love, plus he’s naturally so giving he can forget himself. A challenge like this is right up his alley and frankly? He’s also just curious what you’re going to ask for. In his mind, the assumption is it’ll turn into a shopping trip or him getting food for you, but if the challenge gives him an excuse to dedicate himself to pleasing you beyond that? Oh darn 🤷🏻‍♀️ Seonghwa’s the same, very romantic and he’ll probably briefly turn it into some goofy role play of a butler in love with a prince(ss) 🥲 but really he just loves seeing you happy. If you ask him to do something he enjoys too he’ll melt because it’s YOUR challenge and you still want him included 🥹 so down to give you the full spa treatment so take advantage!!! He’s so giving *ahem* in every way, so saying yes to whatever it is you want will surely be his pleasure. He too imagines what you might request and gets really surprised and big eyed if he’s far off hehe~ Hongjoong is a little less ‘at the drop of a hat’ as the other two, but he’s a spoiler for sure 💅🏻 down to buy you whatever you ask for and really takes the whole concept as a challenge. He’s proving himself worthy a little in his mind, so half of him is like ‘whatever you want my love’ and the other half is like ‘come on, ask me for ANYTHING, see that I’ll do it’. That’s about the only downside, though: he may try to influence your decisions or teasingly ask if you want something he just wants to do or give you, especially if it’s anything relaxing or intimate. Jongho is also a bit skeptical, like it seems kinda excessive in his mind so he shakes his head at it. But at the same time, he’s very giving to those he loves and trusts when he wants to be, and you’re his exception for all the romance and affection. He can’t stop shaking his head and laughing at your requests, but he does them with no complaints…but teasing for sure! Will gladly sing for you if that’s what you want, we all know that! He considers himself a romantic, so like Hongjoong he’s going to go all out on very traditionally romantic versions of what you ask for, especially more intimate requests!

Yeosang is lowkey like why should I? Mostly joking, he just is confused why he’s becoming your butler like did he do something wrong? No, it’s just a challenge? He is very clear that he doesn’t want to get requested to do anything super cringey. Teases you if you want him to sing or dance for you, like don’t you see that enough? But ends up melting if you just ask for extra cuddles or attention, a big smile crossing his face at the thought that you could have anything and that’s what you want most. Gets softer as the day goes on and is down for whatever end to the day even if he has ideas. Mingi is highkey scared, like what are you going to make him do??? And what if he doesn’t want to do it? Secretly he likes being the one in charge, though he can’t deny his love for your smile and your pleasure. He just wants to do it on his own and not feel forced to do it. It’ll feel more real and not like he’s your butler. But how much he warms up depends on your requests, whether he’s at your beck and call or you want to spend the day in bed, dote on him back. If it’s more the latter he is sold, reverting to the total yes man and forgetting all that it has to be authentic stuff 🫡

It honestly bugs me how cream is written in cometcare. She really deserves so much more than what kc may have in store for her. (of course I cant confirm what KC could or could not have planned for her, but this is just general observations that I've had for a while now.) First off, her name. Cream Ed Corn. I get it supposed to be a play on Creamed Corn, but the ED part really just bugs me the wrong way. As someone who has an ED similar to Cream's, I really just do not see the point in making her middle name part of her personality. That's like naming a character "Jordan OCD Smith," like, okay, subtle much? And even if that wasn't the intention, it still kind of applies to my next issue with Creams portrayal. Much like Frosty, it seems like Cream doesn't get much screen time aside from a few lines where she showcases her ED to the audience again. I didn't mind it at first in her introduction, but when she appears in this new arc where all she does is have one line talking about fries again, it just gets upsetting. Why isn't she taking her favorite plush with her at the fair? Why not show some more scenes of Cream and Frosty riding rides and winning prizes? Of course the obvious answer is that this arc is not focused on them and instead on the boring and awful main plot of whatever Sly and Eve are, but come on. Wooyoung is a little stinker and he loves attention, so if you aren’t paying him any he’ll probably mess with you! Or just tease you for a reaction 😘 but he never takes it too far, he likes things like flirtatiously taking things from you or if you’re shorter hiding things away where he can reach them. He also adores sneaking up on you and startling you 🥲 Yunho is more the type to come up with a reallllly convincing story then see you repeat something ridiculous to someone else and laugh or tell you the wrong name for something to hear you say something funny. For physical pranks it’s more like spontaneously hoisting you into his arms and running off with you, offering to feed you then letting a little whipped cream smash on your face, little playful things like that. Jongho is the most traditional prankster where he will set up an actual practical joke like sneakily buying a Halloween decoration that startled you and hiding it to laugh at your reaction again. He also is guilty of having set up scares for you just so he can comfort you 🤕

Yeosang tends to be more verbal with it, like he enjoys teasing or exposing you, but this is all in the same vein so I think that from time to time he’d enjoy reaching over and messing with a task you were doing or grabbing the controls on a game you were playing and giving his little laugh when you pout or call out his name on response 😁 The others probably convince him to try the whipped cream on hand prank when you guys have been sharing a bet for long enough so he shrugs and goes ok, why not? Hongjoong can be a little bit of a stinker when his goofy side comes out, so he doesn’t do it as often but I think he would also be the type to do things like stealing your game pieces. That or he gets extremely creative and tell you you’re watching a scary movie but he just, like, printed out the dvd insert for one and put it over the barbie movie or something. He really doesn’t like potentially harmful pranks, like the most he would do is sneak up on you and startle you. Mingi, like Yeosang, kind of takes input from the others, like they ask him wouldn’t it be funny if he put plain water or lemon juice in a can of your favorite drink and took a lil video of your reaction? And he’s like ooh yeah I guess you’re right! And that’s how he ends up with that video of you making a hilarious scrunched up face on his phone. If you go to a haunted house, he’ll jokingly grab you and use you as a human shield.

Seonghwa is not one for practical jokes and screwing with you very much. He is very sweet to you and doesn’t like to see you even potentially upset or uncomfortable. The most he would do is, like Yunho, get messy feeding you or do something like a corny hallmark Christmas movie flour fight when you guys bake 🤍 San is the same way, also very emotional and he hates feeling too teased or bullied, so he doesn’t want to turn that feeling on you! He much prefers making you feel protected and safe so it’s more likely someone else messes with you and San pulls you close and tells them to stop, chest puffing out a little. Every now and again he’ll get you with some teasing banter or grab your phone and take selfies on it, those are his version of ‘pranks’ 🥰
