I appreciate the compliments and will thus share more about my apocalypse <3 (but not yet if I'll make a novel out of if, sorry 😫 But I have a few ideas I might be able to develop 👀)

Like I said in the previous ask, the Zombie Virus is a mix of fungi > mould > the flu, thus you can be infected by either not wearing a (gas / filtered) mask or getting into any kind of contact with areas which are infected with the fungus / mould. 🤪

Being infected with a Zombie bite is also possible but rare as the Infected (another name for the Zombies) are cannibals and will most likely finish the job before letting their victim go and let the consequences happen. 😵‍💫

The apocalypse outfits are also realistic for your information. 😒 If I hate one thing then it's apocalypse outfits with shorts and crop tops. Like yours legs are just gonna be scrapped if you have to slide on the street or bleed so so easily. 😖

A cool design I've thought about was the organs of the Zombies being tightened by 'vines' from the fungus but that is only a wip at the moment as I'm not even sure if that's possible. 🫤 The reasons for that happening (with no research though) would be the fungus (being an organism since some fungi are mushrooms) trying to make an organism out of the Zombie but due to its deadly nature (reducing the efficiency of the brain 🧠 and lungs 🫁 the most) it kills them before succeeding. I'm also not sure if all Zombies would suffer from the tightened organs or if it's only special ones but eh 🤷🏻🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️ I'm too lazy rn to do the research. 💅🏻

And to finish this ask off I'll explain the state of the zombies and whether they can be considered alive or not. 😊

The zombies are not dead, they have to be alive to be infected with the virus. Their mental state however is... blank? They're in a sort of loop, sleep deprived and numb, auto pilot, something along those lines. Once the virus has infected the sick individuals to a certain degree, they'll start to lack self-awareness and get the urge to act out cannibals. Once these symptoms are showing then it's too late late for the individual. 😌

The other not so dangerous symptoms (because there's a low chance of not turning into a zombie so like, 90% ig?): are severe depression, suicidal tendencies, extreme aggression, migraines (cus of the vines) and coughing fits that can last up to ten seconds multiple times a day (I got inspired by a certain cowboy for that, the Red Dead fans will get it). 😊 That's also why those that were infected with the virus but didn't turn feel as if they're in the last stage of Tuberculosis. 🤠😬

Other fun facts are that a vaccine seems to be imposible due to the virus being a fungus (I looked at one article and thus could be wrong), how long someone has before they turn into a zombie is not determined (could be hours, could be days, could be months), they're pretty much cannibals with the flu and thus do not have any enhanced senses. 👍
