›› Xavier would listen intently, letting gloved fingers tap away at his lips and chin as he mulled it over. It was a bit clear she wasn't giving a complete answer, but he wasn't the type to push his luck; they'll work with those cosmos first.
❝ Yes, they certainly can! Take a look at my cloak closely; It's not an artificial design, but rather a bunch of my familiars latched together. ❞ ›› To prove his point, one of them would detach at one point and scramble up the weave of little void lantern vines, until it sat upon his hat and spread its petals in almost a smiling fashion.
❝ Familiars can be just about anything you add your own essence in to; I just happened to choose floral ones. ❞

›› Clatter clatter, pitter patter. The familiars worked together to hoist items up to the table like little worker ants passing them along in a chain. Eventually the tea pot would be set down first, then the little cooling saucer, and then a cup on top. Xavier would produce another saucer and cup for them to move in to place, along with a water bottle and a small, extremely well-polished reddish stone.
›› While a couple of the familiars tackled filling the pot with the water using a sort of pulley technique between them, one dropped the stone inside and one had skittered over to Xavier to stand on his bag as if awaiting a command.
❝ Let's give her our in-house classic blend that's based off of Earl Grey, something recognizable. ❞ ›› he told the wiggly little plant, who gave a nod and immediately took a couple sachets from his hand. It returned to the others to place those sachets within the now-filled pot, topped it off with its accompanying lid, and then relaxed. A couple became a tiny bit cheeky though as they slithered towards the unsupervised water bottle to dunk their long tail-like appendages within for a small treat.
❝ It'll take a few moments, so let's grab a seat. You can play with them if you'd like, it's hard to really distract them. Oh, and are you familiar with these flowers in particular? I could tell you a bit about them if you'd like. ❞
Okay, Hana had to admit this was very impressive. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but even the thought was rare. And besides, her grin probably showed how excited and curious she was by this odd phenomena of his floral familiars. "That's quite a lot of useful things then," she admitted, keeping her excitement in check. If she was being truthful, she would relish the companionship and reliance she could have on anything other than herself. This was DEFINITELY NOT something she would ever state.
Still, she was distracted by the odd clattering sounds. An eyebrow arched and she looked towards the source of the sound. Head tilting, a small amount of astonishment likely showed on her features. This was utterly absurd, and Hana loved it. The crazier the better - what a dull world it would be without learning to love magic and the extraordinary.
"I would absolutely love a demonstration. And I don't think I could pass up on a cup of tea." Not that she required human sustenance, but warm food and drink was soothing to her. She was always so cold. "I'm curious to see how this goes. I can understand the cloak and the calming scents, and I'm aware how... resilient and strong flowers can be, but to see flora do such tasks is not an everyday occurrence." Her eyes flickered from this strange, strange being to his familiars. Well, for now she wasn't tempted to try anything to painful to him. This was very entertaining.

❝ They do have actual functions as well, yes! They are imbued with magic after all, so they can carry some special tasks out. Beyond carrying items or operating some things, mine are intelligent enough to write simple sentences, carry out tasks of a short step count, and even release calming scents on demand that help aid a demon in relaxation. ❞
›› As he spoke, a soft clattering of china could be heard; it rattled very low to the ground, a little uneven, and was accompanied by the tiniest of pitter-pattering. To glance in that direction would reveal a tea pot suspended a few inches off the ground by the work of a couple more of those floral familiars, one frantically catching up as it rolled a cooling dish behind them. Another two brought the cup, and their master would produce some sachets from his massive bag.
❝ How about a demonstration? They are capable of brewing up and serving tea, so why don't we enjoy some together? ❞
Despite being.... usually harsh (and occasionally cruel, and definitely loving to tease) Hana was not a sceptic. She enjoyed learning new things, enjoyed having an open mind. Hana could not see how this would work - but where was the fun in never trying something new?
She peered in to look at his cloak as he mentioned it. Her mouth formed a soft 'o' shape of surprise for just a second, before she leant back and hurriedly shifted expression to something more relaxed. She might BE surprised, but she didn't have to show it. "So your familiars have made up this cloak. It is... intriguing. What properties does it have? I mean, is it purely for SHOW?" It was still impressive either way, Hana had not seen something quite like this before.
"I see... It's an interesting concept," she conceded. Hana couldn't deny that it was, in a way, rather cool. "I wouldn't have thought of every making floral familiars, but to each their own. I think it suits you." It was hard to make such remarks when you didn't know someone. But all the same, it did suit him.
