🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU Backstory/Post One (Not for 🥚Tiny Heir❄, 🥚Tiny Sting🐝, or 🥚Tiny Animus🔮) :
(Warning: forced spell to turn Reader and the other teens/dragonets into baby dragonets, Reader has the mind of their older self but it's trapped in a baby dragonet body, unknown whether Reader was a friend, foe, or victim of the adult platonic yans, cute baby dragonet Reader. You have been warned...)
• Waking up, you felt... weird. Nothing seemed wrong, yet something seemed... off? You were warm, and could feel a blanket or fur wrapped around you, covering you completely. Your talons and tail and head didn't hurt, so it wasn't that. Cracking open an eye, you saw that your scales looked to be the same color... So then... what was wrong?
• You stretch, feeling your talons brush against the soft fabric around you. It moves around you, jostled a bit from your movement; it falls a bit further when you try to get up. You can hear the soft noises of breathing, the rustling of paper, a soft humming in the air... Curious, you slowly try to poke your head out... And are met with a large room, dimly lit, save for a few lamps and candles in the darker corners. You start to realize something, looking around-
• You don't recognize this room.
• You can't make out much due to the darkness, but you can make out some hanging forms and piles, placed in different areas... But that's not what makes you feel worried. No... You feel worried by the largest dragon you've seen, partially bathed in light, who is busy looking over a scroll near the lights... Except you know this dragon, and they aren't supposed to be that large...
• With a wriggle, you pull yourself out from the blanket wrapped around you, freeing your movement. You feel your wings/wingbuds twitch at the chill in the air, making you shift uncomfortably. It's cold, now that you aren't wrapped up... but you can't go back to being warm. Not right now. You need to figure out where you are. So with that, you start to walk forward...
• Yet as you walk, you feel... strange. You wobble, your body not evenly balanced... And when you move, your steps are small and short, hardly making a dent in your effort to move forward. Your tail doesn't seem to be of much help, nor do your talons, no matter how far they stretch or which way they tilt. You start to make a frustrated noise, feeling annoyed-
• CHIRP!
• Except that isn't your voice that comes out. It's... it's some high-pitched cheep, one more akin to a baby than a dragonet. Your snout wrinkles up, confusion filling your thoughts. Why did you sound like that? You didn't think you were that upset. And you hadn't been a baby in the last few years, so it wasn't like you could make that sound anymore. You try to say something, but it comes out in a warble, not fully forming any word that you know of... You feel you chest constrict, and you feel fear stir in you.
• Before you can start to tear up, large talons wrap around you, picking you up and up and up... Bringing you face-to-face with the dragon you were trying to reach. They smile at you, holding you up so they can look at you. "Well, hello. I see you're awake. Did you sleep well, baby?" You freeze, feeling dumbfounded and insulted. Then with a harsh chirp, you try to point out you're not a baby- "Hey, don't worry, don't worry... What do you need? Are you hungry? Or thirsty? Did something wake you up, little one?" You huff, and try to speak again- and only manage to make more angry baby noises.
• "Okay, okay, I get it, you're not feeling happy right now. Can you tell me what upset you? You're not hurting anywhere, are you?" Talons brush gently against your wings/wingbuds, soon rubbing gentle circles at the base... next they move to your talons, giving small squeezes and inspections... until they finally reach your head, tilting it slightly and watching for any signs of discomfort. When you show none, they simply press a kiss to your forehead, tucking you back against them. "You don't seem hurt anywhere... Perhaps you're still adjusting..." You don't understand what they're saying; you're not a baby, and why would you need to adjust? They carry you towards a desk, setting you down carefully, then turn towards the lights, which surround a few cubbies and cabinets...
• You try to move off the desk, feeling annoyed and upset, only for their tail to push you back into the center, tapping you lightly. With a pleased noise, they come back, sitting down a few odd items: Small cubes of fish, a few berries, a weird syringe thing, and a small bottle, filled with a milky-white liquid. They nudge the fish and berries towards you, a soft look on their face. You promptly stare at them, trying to convey your displeasure. "Baby, I know you probably feel a little weird right now, but you're okay. Are you hungry? I brought you some snacks. See?" They pick up a berry, carefully moving it towards your mouth. "Can you try a bite?" They're met with a snort. "Honey, I know you might not feel good right now, but you need to eat. Can you do that for me?" You can feel your tail twitching, nerves buzzing with panic and worry. You keep your mouth firmly shut, trying to turn your head away... Then their talons carefully push the berry past your lips, and the sweet tang of raspberries hits you. For a moment you forget yourself, happily chewing the soft red fruit, even making a demanding noise for another... Until it strikes you what just happened, and you start to panic.
• Why- why were you acting like a baby? You weren't one, you were four or five (12-15) years old, you weren't a hatchling-! Another berry is pushed gently onto your tongue, and your mouth moves around it without a second thought, licking it and swallowing it within a bite or two. Oh three moons it happened again-
• A soft hiccup escapes you, soon followed by salty tears, and in a moment you burst into a loud wail. Talons are scooping you up, followed by soft touches and small kisses, as they try to calm you down. "Shhh, shhh, it's okay, you're okay, honey, I know it's a lot to take in, but you're okay. Do i need to go ahead and give you your medicine early? I wanted to wait, but if you're hurting this much, I think you need to take it now-" You try to stop them, trying to tell them no, but all that comes out are soft whines and hiccups, causing you to cry harder. Soon something is pushed past your lips, flooding your small mouth with a milky, sweet flavor, which you thickly swallow. A claw carefully wipes at your mouth, followed by soothing rubs against your tummy and back. You try to ask what they gave you (which only comes out as a confused warble), but are only met with soft shushing and a small flurry of kisses and licks...
• "Okay, baby, it's alright... That should help make you feel better..." They gently pick up a few more berries and cubes, then take you to one of the large hammocks, nestling the two of you inside. You try to protest... but your head feels soft... really soft... A small whine hums in your throat, only to be silenced by a berry being tucked into your mouth, and your thoughts fade out as you gently chew the sweetly tart fruit. Talons stroke down your back, a claw rubbing your wings/wingbuds in soothing circles, until your breaths start to even out. One last time you try to communicate, try to tell them something isn't right-
• Yet that dissolves into a content sigh as your head is laid again their chest, hearing the rumbling and thumping heartbeat underneath. The world slowly starts rocking around you, gently swaying back and forth... a tired noise slips past, then with a blink...
• You're asleep, dozing calmly on the adult's chest.
• They grin, watching as their little one takes a much-needed nap. They know that their transformation was likely rough, probably leaving them a little sore, hungry, and exhausted... But it was necessary. They feel their lips snarl lightly, as they remember why they and the others did what they had done. The incident... the past... it had hurt a lot of their dragonets. It had wounded them, enough to break some of them, to make them numb, leaving behind scared, frightened, hurt kids, who were a thread away from snapping... The adults weren't untouched, either. No. They had to deal with the aftermath, the care and healing of their kids, trying to keep them going and healthy and alive, besides keeping themselves sane. And they were left paranoid, fearful, vengeful, over what had happened. They tried to heal things as much as they could, but... nothing really seemed to make much difference...
• So they used a more... unusual method. Magic wasn't their first choice, but with it, they could start over... They could make things better, could give their kids (and themselves) a happier life, one not haunted by past mistakes and drowning doubts or plaguing nightmares. They kept their kids intact. They didn't erase their personality or their beliefs or who they were- But they put all of that in their subconscious, so they could be unburdened, so they could have a chance to heal and feel safe and loved on and cared for in this new state.
• With Reader, a few times they thought that maybe they weren't affected the same way... Except they still reacted the way a baby dragonet should. They tugged Reader closer when they thought about it. Their little honeydrop was probably just having their mind settling. Adjusting their body and mind and thoughts to match their age. And what a cute little baby they are! With their small wings/wingbuds, their soft antenna, bright little eyes, cute noises, and their stubborn baby-ness. How could they not want to bundle them up and never let go?
• They shift their wings to shield the two of them, forming a small canopy above them as they settle down to sleep. They can worry about everything else later. Right now, a nap with one of their little ones sounds like the best thing they can do... So with a soft sigh, they wrap a blanket around them, tucking the two of them into a warm, sleepy cocoon as they slowly sink into a cozy slumber...

Aww the Tiny Talons au is so cute...All I can think of is dragonet reader trying to bite their way out of their new "guardian"s clutches only for the platonic yans to assume they're trying to play.
-Night Anon
Haha, oh yes indeed, Night Anon! (I wanted to make a small post on that, so because you mentioned it, let's discuss it!)
So, Reader would be stressed, being in the body of a baby dragonet, a hatchling, if you will. They aren't sure what exactly happened, or if it was done on purpose or not, but the next thing the know is they're small enough to fit in the talons of one of the adult platonic yans, they're not able to form words yet, and they can't fly or really run yet. They can walk, but... they can't really get far by walking. Everytime they try to investigate or get put of where they're being kept (what is basically a hatchling-proofed hatchery), they're being picked up by the nearest set of talons and being taken back. They've tried to let the adults know that they're not actually reduced mentally to a hatchling. It didn't really go well. Then there is the talk. Being cooed at and being treated like a hatchling feels demeaning and embarrassing and like it's so so hard not to bite their talon off (which depending on the backstory of this au, could have the adults being old friends of Reader to their enemies to being abusers or being their guardians... so that only adds to Reader's discomfort). Reader has tried a few times to bite them, when the cuddling and softness gets to be too much... If anything, that only made the adults think they're playing. Look, Reader can tell that they're... trying? But having to have the mind of an older dragonet stuck in a wee bitty baby body, is not their idea of a good time. Having to deal with little teething toys and nap times is not fun (even though, to be honest... it feels kinda... good? Biting something to get out their frustrations, getting to sleep more than they ever did when they were older... it felt... nice). If Reader can just figure out what caused their predicament, they can hopefully reverse it, and things can go back to normal. Yet...
Who in the world would want to turn them into a baby dragonet? And why is no one quite as bothered as they should be by that?
(Do you have any ideas how the backstory should go? And do you think I should mix this au with 🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU to make a 🥚Tiny Heir❄ AU (separate from this or that au of course, but, like, a branch-off of those two aus!))

Tony Talons is adorable, I love the idea of reader being their enemy in the past, and trying to ‘gather intelligence’ by pretending to sleep near the yans, while the yans are just having a lovely time with their ‘sleepy’ hatchling
Ahaha, yep, that'd be something Reader would do if they used to be enemies! Of course, that all depends on what kind of enemies they are! If we go the Reader and Platonic Yans Were Enemies Route, we have a few different flavors to choose from! We have:
• Dark Chocolate Flavor (the yans were abusive in some way to Reader before, so now that they might have used animus magic to start over again and fix what they'd done, Reader is rather terrified of their situation)
• Orange Flavor (Reader was a small villain who had shown up in the past, and held a grudge against the platonic yans, but the yans weren't downright awful, maybe neglectful at worst, but not any worse than that)
• Caramel Flavor (Reader may have been a rival of sorts to them? And was a bit like Team Rocket to Ash; not going to try and actually hurt them, and would support them when no one else did, but... they still want to win at the end of the day and are at best a mild villain/enemy to them, if they're considered one at all)
• Strawberry Flavor (Reader is the actual child/sibling/adoptee of one or more of the platonic yans and more-or-less became their enemy due to a misconception or a lie on someone else's part) (could partner with one of the other flavors)
• Honey Flavor (Reader is the only one who views themself/ever viewed themself as the enemy of the platonic yans, yet they're a small level villain/rival/nuisance, rather than outright evil or scheming) (misinformed Reader here) (possibly delusional platonic yans, depending on if you partner this flavor with another one)
Which flavor is your favorite for the au? And if you had to combine any of the flavors, which ones would you choose and why?
(Have you taken the small poll to decide what type of dragon/hybrid Reader will be for this au? Which one do you hope Reader is?) (Have a lovely day/night, @crowwithguns!)

Note
in the tiny talons au, did the adults even try to see if reader is still mentally older, cause i feel they would easily realize
They assumed Reader wouldn't be. The spell/enchantment done on Reader (and possibly the other teens) was to reduce them to an egg or recently hatched dragonet. The spell was crafted so they wouldn't remember the spell being cast, and figured that when it turned them into baby dragonets, it would turn every part of them back to their baby form. So they thought they wouod mentally be younger in that state, too.
They would have doubts over whether Reader had fully been reduced to a baby dragonet, wondering if their odd behavior meant the spell hadn't worked quite right... Only for Reader's baby instincts to pop up, and the adults think they're overthinking things (and being blindsided by cute baby Reader).
The spell worked on the other kids/teens/dragonets, but for Reader, it is rather slow on reverting their mind to their hatchling state. They do have the instincts of a baby dragonet, so they can't control if they're upset and start to cry, can't stop thenself from chewing or drinking something put in their mouth, and can't help but seek comfort and warmth when tired or upset.
(If you have anymore questions or theories, feel free to ask then and share them! I hope you are liking the 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU, as well as 🥚Tiny Heir❄, 🥚Tiny Sting🐝, and 🥚Tiny Animus🔮!!!)

Pssst... pssssssst...
I have another Platonic Yandere Wings of Fire/X-Men AU ~ ! How about an au where Reader is a dragonet who is an outcast of their tribe due to a rare condition in their tribe that they hatched with? (a la Chameleon from Book 8: Escaping Peril)
They were outcasted, looked down upon, ostracized, possibly bullied and abused, due to their rare condition... Yet one day they either leave or are banished or chased away, and they stumble on a rare animus-touched item that can grant them a power they've always wanted...
To be a normal dragon with normal powers, or even a dragon with rare, mighty powers.
They end up creating a form/mask for each tribe, one that is enchanted to highlight certain parts of their personality in that form and to be able to fit in without sticking out too much... They keep the enchantment in a necklace or bracelet that is always on them, and has a different gem or charm that will spread its color to the rest, to indicate they are that tribe that at the moment (ex. red ruby or garnet means a SkyWing, opal means a RainWing, orange/yellow amber for HiveWing, etc.)
Ideas for what rare condition they could have ranges like this:
MudWing: blood red egg makes them fire/burnproof; snout deformity makes it so they can't hold their breath for an hour; was born without fire; hatched without sibs...
SandWing: hatched without their venom barb; hatched with albino/melanistic/dark golden scales; hatched with six claws...
SkyWing: hatched with too much fire/hatched with too little fire; has crippled/deformed wings; has paler scales than most SkyWings...
SeaWing: hatched with a deformed tail; has trouble swimming; hatched with odd scale colors (bright acid/lime green, indigo, extremely pale blue/green, etc.)...
RainWing: snout deformity where they can't change colors; inability to produce acid/venom...
IceWing: melansitic/darker scales; difficulty breathing frostbreath; odd patterns/eyes/colors...
NightWing: albino/pale scales; not hatched with any full moon powers; hatched under three full moons...
HiveWing: odd scale colors (bright gold-green, greenish-black, reddish-pink); albino/melanistic, odd power or no powers...
SilkWing: melanistic; deformed wings/wingbuds; inability to produce silk/is a flamesilk...
LeafWing: odd scale colors (amber brown, pink-red, gold); odd leafspeak/no leafspeak; deformed tail or wings...
Reader would have a mask (enchanted form) of each tribe, with its own name, color, size, abilities and personality, all a little different if not completely different, and each with a carefully crafted backstory. Reader made sure each of these forms were more or less "perfect" (undeformed/common/accepted). Some forms have fun powers, some are more down to earth, but all are crafted to match Reader and hide them, transforming them into a new dragon each time they change.
I'm going to call this the 🎭Jekyll and Hyde🐉 AU... And it's 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 variation is called the 🥚Tiny Rainbow🌈 AU...

For my🥚Tiny Talons AUs (except 🥚Tiny Heir❄, maybe or maybe not🥚Tiny Sting🐝, and possibly 🥚Tiny Animus🔮) Reader tied between either being a SilkWing or a HiveWing/SilkWing hybrid...
So they're going to be a HiveWing/SilkWing hybrid! They are either 50% HiveWing and 50% SilkWing, or 25% HiveWing and 75% SilkWing!!!
And they'd be so cute!!!
They wouldn't have full grown wings as a baby dragonet. If they were equally HiveWing and SilkWing, they might have more HiveWing-esque wings that were already there... Or they'd have wingbuds that woud only grow into wings after their Metamorphosis, if their wings were more SilkWing-esque.
Oooooo! Imagine what colors they'd be! I'm thinking either reds and pinks, oranges and golds, or pastel yellow and pink, but with some darker red/pink/orange/gold/yellow and black scales, due to their HiveWing side. They'd definetly have antenna, they might have a HiveWing power, and they'd be so itty bitty!
They'd be likely to eat meat and veggies and fruits and sweets, not being fully vegetarian like a SilkWing. Maybe they prefer less heavy meats? Like poultry, fish, and such. They'd eat eggs, enjoy honeybuns, and also eat raspberries and tangerines. Would bite an adult platonic yan if they dared to take away a piece of food, and would also bite them if they tried to syringe-feed them medicine. Favorite meat snacks include: small salmon bites, gazelle jerkey, and bird wings and legs. Favorite veggie snacks include: sweet potato sticks and steamed broccoli. Favorite fruit snacks include: raisins, raspberries, and tangerine slices. Their favorite sweets are: small lemon cakes/bars, honeydrops, and small chocolates in the shape of bees.
Baby dragonet Reader is doing their best to communicate to the adult platonic yans that they are not mentally a hatchling, all while trying to find out how they (and possibly the other older dragonets/teens) were changed into baby dragonets. Reader tries to be sneaky, but being in the body of a baby dragonet means they're rather loud, wobbly, and clumsy. The adults think they're playing, and Reader is exasperated over their predicament. Reader can't fly in their current state, so they have to either climb on things or climb on someone to get a better view. They're annoyed over being treated like a draginet and having baby limitations, like having to take naps and needing to eat every few hours and needing someone to keep an eye on them most of the time... but this is also something they wanted, albeit as an older dragonet.
The reason behind Reader (and maybe the other teens/dragonets) getting animus magicked into baby draginets is due to a traumatic incident that broke a few of the teens and adults, enough so that the adults went a little off the deep end, and decided to try and start over, trying to erase what happened and make it so they could have a happier life and memories. Depending on the flavor of backstory for Tiny Talons, they could have been abusive in the past or really friendly with Reader, they could have been friends or enemies, or rivals or family, it just depends on the backstory used for the au.
The adults set up a baby dragonet-proof hatchery, as well as a nursery-like room. The hatchery has soft carpeting, early learning toys and puzzles, baby dragonet books and scrolls, as well as little blankets and stuffed animals/dragons and play structures. The nursery is a large room with only one entrance/exit, which two platonic yans are guarding at all times, in case the dragonets need them or someone tries to hurt them. The nursery has different sleeping areas, such as small streams and little ponds for SeaWings and MudWings, rocky ledges with furs and pillows for SkyWings and IceWings and NightWings, woven hammocks and beds of vines and plants filled with woven blankets for RainWings and SilkWings and LeafWings and HiveWings, even larger hammocks and beds/nests that can hold and fit all of the dragonets or even an adult dragon or two. There are some cubby holes filled with different types of snacks and drinks, a few cubbies full of first aid supplies, as well as larger cabinets full of blankets and bedding and extra vines and fabrics and strands and silk, in case they need to replace or repair anything. There is a large book case and scroll case full of different dragonet stories, how-to guides on dragonet care, different cook books, and even the likes of touch-and-feel books and A-to-Z animals, colors, rocks, foods, etc. ... They also have a large chest full of different stuffed animals and dragon dolls, so the dragonets can either play with them or sleep with them or cuddle them. Reader has one, and while they find having one a little demeaning, it is also the closest they have to a comfort item (and no one will take it away unless it is to clean it). All in all, these two rooms have everything a dragonet or baby dragonet could want, and are only accessible to the adults, who keep a heavy watch over them. If any scavengers (humans) tried to break in to steal the dragonets, they would likey be eaten, or tossed off from the highest outcropping in the territory/mountain/Hive/palace/academy/wherever they are.
So now Reader has to figure out the mystery behind why they're a baby dragonet, all while putting up with the care of the adult platonic yans...
So... who's ready for this ride?

By the way, how would the older dragons react if the reader gets hurt or disappears for a while? When I was little, I disappeared for one day, and all my relatives panicked so much that they called the police and started looking for me all over the area. Also, when I was visiting distant relatives, I was forbidden to play in the yard, because I scratched my knee.It s for Tiny Talons au,
Oh wow, Anon! I'm so sorry that happend to you and your family😣 I hope you were okay! What Anon name would you like? You could be 🧃 Anon, or 🌈 Anon, or 🥛 Anon, or something like Magic Anon, because you became a bit like a baby version of Harry Houdini (a famous magician/escape artist) (Please forgive me if that is offensive! I'm not trying to be, I just want to find an Anon name for you!)
If Reader disappeared for awhile in the 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU, the adult platonic yanderes would lose it. I've mentioned that the reason Reader (and possibly the other teens/dragonets) became babies had something to do with a traumatic event that kinda broke some of them mentally, to the point of using animus magic to turn the kids into baby dragonets and trying to start over/erase the traumatic event from their memories. The adult platonic yans would be tearing apart their home/lair/city/camp/school/whatever looking for Reader, having whoever isn't looking for them guard the other baby dragonets. They'd think the worst had happened, and many of them would be having either a panic attack or reliving the traumatic event/s that scarred them enough to enchant the dragonets into baby dragonets. Reader likely was hiding from them or was looking for a way out or place to hide, and likely fell asleep. So they aren't aware that they just traumatized the adults. The moment Reader is found, they are having a baby harness made for them, as well as for the other baby dragonets. The adult platonic yanderes are having the baby dragonets sleep with them or in the same room as them for the next fee weeks, or until their fears are soothed, and they're lightly scolding baby dragonet Reader, while checking them over for any injuries and promising to pay extra attention to them. They think Reader wandered off due to not having enough attention or out of curiosity. And somehow, Reader still isn't able to get them to realize they are mentally still an older dragonet. There is always next time, but...
With how they scared the adults this time, maybe they should stay in the same room next time? Otherwise they might have to put up with extra cuddling and napping again, with a baby harness/carrier/sling to boot...

I really like the idea of a Tiny Heir au! All the trauma of the Evil Heir au in a small, bite-sized package. As much as I love to see Reader angst, all I can think of is the platonic yans dealing with the still cold/aloof little heir despite their new appearance and thinking "oh no it's way deeper than we thought..." not realizing that reader still has their older mindset and overcompensating to make the baby happy.
-Night Anon
Right on, Night Anon. They'd realize that they have their work cut out for them, with how little bby IceWing heir Reader is still aloof and sad. You can bet that they're being hugged and given toys and being encouraged to play, though. For once they're being treated like an actual dragonet (albeit a baby one), and as weird and unfortunate as it is initially... it isn't quite as bad as they thought. It's still pretty weird and upsetting, but getting to nap when they're tired, being encouraged to play and being played with, having different toys and books/scrolls and activities to do... it is what Reader wanted in a way, isn't it? Of course it would help if they weren't a literal baby dragon. And if they knew how to get them back to their regular age and size. But until they can fix that, they'll begrudingly go along with the adult platonic yanderes and their care.
(Baby dragonet Reader would be adorable. Hands down cutest baby IceWing, at least in the platonic yans' eyes. And they kinda see why Reader might have had stunted social behavior, if they weren't treated as their age for as long as they'd been hatched. And they plan to fix that)

Imagine, for a Wings of Fire AU... Reader ends up getting turned into a baby dragonet.
Maybe they were a villain and this was done as a way to not kill them but still try to start them over, maybe it was an accident and Reader was a pretty okay dragonet, maybe a mishap happened and Reader got caught in the crossfire- point is, animus magic happened, it affected Reader, and now they are a wee, itty bitty baby dragon.
And what do the platonic yanderes do with a (now extra tiny) baby Reader?
Try and raise them, of course!
Maybe the spell affected all of the teens/dragonets. Maybe it only targeted Reader. Maybe it was a freak accident. But now Reader is having to deal with being in the body of a baby dragonet, and have to deal with the limitations and instincts of a baby dragonet. And they can't even properly communicate to the platonic yanderes that yes, they remember everything, and no, they haven't entirely reverted back to being a literal hatchling. Their mind is still intact (at the moment), and they are finding it hard being so... helpless. So absolutely helpless and reliant on others, who, depending on the backstory, could have been anywhere from Reader's enemies to their friends to their abusers to their guardians to etc. ... So that only adds to Reader's grief and upset.
(I'm thinking in this au either the other teens/dragonets were reset to their hatchling form, due to a traumatic event that kinda broke the older platonic yans and some of the kids... or Reader is the sole dragonet turned hatchling, who is trying now to catch their attention and let them know they aren't entirely reverted to a baby mindset...)
I myself like option/path A the most, bit I'm not opposed to option/path B either...😊
Let's call this au the... (this could change later, but is what I'll call it for now) :
🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU...

New idea for a HiveMind/Drone/Wings of Fire and Platonic Yan X-Men AU:
Imagine that the HiveWings and SilkWings kinda ended up back together, having enough hybrids, who slowly made their own tribe: The VenomWings.
The VenomWings have two variants: bee and moth, or Hive and Silk. The traits that are shared between all of the VenomWings are:
• Three eyes
• Four wings
• A tail stinger (doesn't always mean they have venom)
• Silk glands
• Grow their wings at around 4 or 5 years old (12 to 15 in human years)
• Have antenna
• Are part of a tribe-wide hivemind
• Have small honey glands nestled under their silk glands
Special traits of the bee/Hive variant include:
• A HiveWing ability (such as a different venom or stinger, stench powers, can shoot acid, have parlayzing/deadly/knock-out toxins, etc. )
• Thinner wings than the moth/Silk variants
• Are mainly warmer colors, such as red, orange, or yellow, but always have some black
• Have a tail stinger that has converting venom, which when injected into a dragon from another tribe, will change them into a VenomWing
Special traits of the moth/Silk variant include:
• The ability to spin all the different kinds of silk
• Wider wings than the bee/Hive variants
• Can be any color, mainly lighter or neutral, but always have some black or darker scales
• Have the ability to sense the vibrations in the air with their antenna
The VenomWings aren't exactly malevolent. The adult mutants are VenomWings (born that way or converted). Their idea of spreading peace and safety is to convert any dragons who enter their territory into VenimWings as well. If the dragon is an adult, they are put in a special adult Chrysalis room, where they will, once having been fully turned, join the HiveMind and fall into line. If the dragon is a young adult or younger, they will be taken to a special (and heavily guarded) dragonet Chrysalis room, where they will be in their Chrysalis longer than an adult would be, due to having to grow down their wings and have what is essentially child-safety locks in their mind.
The Chrysalises are formed by a VenomWing around a dragon who has been injected with the conversion venom special to the Hive variants, as well as given a sedative or drug to keep them calm and less fearful. The Chrysalises are like sleeping bags, where they can hold the dragon's full body, but can be sealed up from the outside, thus cocooning them inside. A dragonet Chrysalis is called a Cocoon. The Chrysalises/Cocoons are breathable, so a dragon may be sealed in completely. The Chrysalises/Cocoons are then wrapped in/stuck to thicker, stretched strands of silk, which suspend them between the walls of the Chrysalis/Cocoon room, above the ground. These are monitored and checked on regularly, being cleaned or moved if needed.
The honey produced from the VenomWing honey glands is fed to the dragonets after their conversion, as it acts as a sedative, is full of nutrients and vitamins, and also strengthens the hold of the HiveMind. Dragonets are treated with utmost care and gentleness, having a special hatchery room just for them, which is guarded by the strongest, most dangerous of the VenomWings. If a scavenger (human) were to harm a dragonet, a dragonet in a Cocoon, or an egg... they'd be tortured and killed in the most painful ways possible.
This AU, called the 🍯Honey and Venom🧪 AU, has its own 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU which I will call the 🥚Tiny Sting🐝 AU, and it would have the converted dragonets turn into baby dragonets as well, instead of sticking to their original age.
When the dragonets emerge from their Cocoon in either AU, they have a Naming Ceremony, where besides their original name, they gain their VenomWing name, which they will slowly start to be called by. Depending on the au, the honey and possibly venom helps to muddle the dragons' thoughts, slowly fading their pasts from their minds, until until can only remember being a VenomWing, and having their loving Hive care for them...
These AUs are kinda sweet, kinda frightening, and have different ways for their paths to go...

Aaaawwww, healer dragon!
I can't remember if I did make a dragon healer au, but I wouldn't mind making one if I didn't! (That picture is so cute! Let the child/teen/adult? be happy and swim!)
I've been stressed lately, but I'll be okay.
How are you, @crowwithguns? Are you doing okay? Did you enjoy any of the 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AUs?? And if you had to pick from the flavors list I made, what flavor would you want for the au? I am glad to hear from you again😊 Drink some juice or water and take a nap or break if you need one, okay?

I love the darker take on The Last Animus
I like to imagine the Animus’s to come back the same age they died as, and with their memories just more power, cause I like the idea of the Animus’s seemingly having grown cold to the dragons yet they still try to repair the world
also the cults are insane, do they literally see them as gods?-
To the cult question: Yes, they kinda do see them as gods of some sort, or moons-blessed or something like that😅
The Animus dragons get their memories back once they've reached the age they died at in their past life, but their powers are discovered on their their time (they have them at birth, they just have to accidentally use them for the first time to know about them/realized they have magic)
And if this had a 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU, I'd call it the 🥚Tiny Animus🔮 AU.
Reader hides their true self/form by making a charm/necklace/accessory that makes it so they have a "mask" (a form) for a dragon from each tribe. So, they'd be able to disguise themself as a MudWing, a SandWing, a SkyWing, a SeaWing, a RainWing, an IceWing, a NightWing, a HiveWing, a SilkWing, and a LeafWing, complete with a special name an color and appearance for each one. This idea is based on the character Chameleon from Wings of Fire. Watch Jekyll and Hyde Chameleon PMV on YouTube, to get an idea with fun music, as to how it works and appears.
But, yeah. Reader could choose one form to have more if their confidence and be stronger, have another form be smaller and meeker, have one form be tall and lithe, choose one one be short and stout, they could even choose to have any gender or appearance they want as long as it made sense to the new tribe they were appearing as!
Should I hold a small poll to decide what each form Reader can take on is named and what color they are? I think it sounds fun!
(Do you have any questions, @crowwithguns? Feel free to ask them! Especially if it is about any of the 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AUs! I love them so much😭🥰💖💛🧡)

Wings of Fire Dragin Guide, Part Five: HiveWings and SilkWings
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a HiveWing, or hive dragon. They have red, orange, and/or yellow scales, but always have some black scales on them as well. They are distantly related to SilkWings. Their powers can range from wrist/tail/claw stingers, the ability to shoot some stingers and regrow them, venomous fangs, paralyzing toxins/boiling acid/pain-inducing venom and possibly more unexplored options. They have four dragonfly/wasp-like wings, and live in the Hives across the savanna (now partially forest) continent of Pantala. Their diet consists of zebra, gazelle, birds, snakes, sharks, fish, as well as apples,, cinnamon, honey, nectar, confectionery, and coffee and tea.. They are named after different insects except for moths and butterflies, such as:
Social insects (Hymneoptera): Wasp, Hornet, Yellowjacket...
Beetles (Coleoptera): Scarab, Weevil, Chafer, Bombardier...
Orthoptera: Cricket, Grasshopper, Katydid...
Auchenorryhncha: Cicada, Treehopper...
Larvae/Worms: Rootworm, Glowworm, Inchworm...
Arachnid: Vinegaroon...
Other insects: Mantis, Earwig, Aphid, Dragonfly...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This a SilkWing, or silk dragon, or butterfly dragon. They can be any color and shade except black, are distantly related to HiveWings, and are iridescent. They hatch with wingbuds, as they will go through Metamorphosis, where they spin a Chrysalis and form their wings like a butterfly or moth, at age six. They also inherit their silk glands and silk spinning abilities after this, but can sometimes have flamesilk, which can glow, burn, and be made of fire, but it is extremely rare. They are vegetarian, so they eat things such as tangerines, kumquats, persimmons, garbanzo beans, kale, AZ well as honey, nectar, and confectionery made in the Hives. They were once second-class citizens, until Queen Wasp was defeated and everyone was free from the Othermind (a hivemind-esque thing made up of one small evil plant, an insane *sshole of a human who is the reason the humans were almost wiped out by the dragons, and one of the dragon eggs he stole, which is the dragonet from the egg). (Yes, the Scorching, which is their event that formed the dragon tribe and world as we know it, is because this freaky little jerk of a man stole dragon eggs, thus causing other human kingdoms to do so. So the dragon parents banded together and literally scorched the world to the the ground. Then they chose the first dragon queen, and the tribes formed over the next few hundred years after...) SilkWings are named after butterflies and moths, such as:
Butterflies: Monarch, Blue, Swordtail, Fritillary, Tortoiseshell, Admiral, Heliconian, Argus...
Moths: Luna, Io, Tussock, Cinnabar, Orange, Festoon, Lappet, Burnet...

Wings of Fire Guide, Part Four: NightWings and LeafWings
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a NightWing, or night dragon. Their scales are black, sometimes with green, purple, blue, or gray undertones. They can breathe fire, blend into dark shadows, have silvery star scales on the underside of their wings (hence the name NightWings), and if hatched under one full moon, will either be able to read minds or see the future; if hatched under two full moons, they will have both; if hatched under three, their powers will be stronger than most (but three full moons only appear every one hundred years). NightWings used to live in the Night Kingdom, until Darkstalker, their first animus, scared the entire tribe with his twisted magic to the point of leaving entirely, hiding away and making sure no more eggs hatched under the full moons. Their tribe still has animus dragons. They moved to a volcanic island, where the prey became scarcer each year, and each year less dragonets hatched, to the point each year less eggs came out uncracked. They bit their prey and left it to die, then came back and ate its rotting corpse. This changed when the NightWings moved to the Rainforest Kingdom, accepting the RainWing queen as their queen in exchange for forgiving them of their crimes against the RainWings and not leaving them to die on their island, which soon erupted. They soon turned to a diet of boars, panthers, and sometimes sloths and monkeys, as well as fruits. Their names can be such as:
Night adjacent: Starflight, Moonwatcher, Midnight, Eclipse, Starclaws...
Assassin-like/death-related: Foeslayer, Deathbringer, Quickstrike, Slaughter, Bonecruncher...
Moon-gifted abilities: Mindreader, Allknowing, Farsight, Fatespeaker, Clearsight...
Wisdom and knowledge: Prudence, Wisdom, Vigilance, Thoughtful...
Powerful/Mighty: Mightyclaws, Strongwings, Fierceteeth, Bigtail, Fearless...
Dark and spooky: Battlewinner, Darkstalker, Vengeance...
Black gemstones: Obsidian...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a LeafWing, or leaf dragon. Their scales can be green, with some gold, red, pink, or brown mixed in. Some of them have a power called leafspeak, where they can understand and grow plants (faster than normal). They used to live on the second continent, Pantala, in the forest kingdoms, until it was destroyed by the evil and insane Queen Wasp of the HiveWings. They then had to move to the Poison Jungle, where they struggled to survive. They split into two separate groups of the tribes: the peaceful, patient SapWings, and the vengeful, fierce PoisonWings. They would wear pouches full of poisonous berries and roots, knock-out flowers and petals, smoking leaves, venomous bugs, as well as seeds. The two tribes had two different naming systems. They are as follows:
SapWings kept the tradition of naming themselves after trees, while PoisonWings started to name themselves after deadly or poisonous plants...
Tree names: Sequoia, Willow, Ash, Hazel, Rowan, Juniper, Hawthorn...
Poisonous or deadly plants: Nettle, Sundew, Belladonna, Hemlock, Mandrake, Cobra Lily, Pokeweed...

They live in the tundras of the Ice Kingdom, and their diet consists of artic and antarctic animals, such as seals, whales, caribou, polar bears, and orcas, and have been known to eat moss and seafood such as crabs and fish. They have had a hierarchy, which is the Seven Circles for the nobility. They used to have animus dragons, but their last one eloped with a NightWing, and one of their eggs hatched the first NightWing animus (and the most dangerous one) Darkstalker.
