Were the facts in this decision lined up in both character design and backstory, or more the former? and thank you for your YV content. your work is all so adorable. great to see them loved in your art

it has to do with the backstory I had in mind for Ashe, and a “headcanon?” after listening to both Finn and the first two Faust audio where it took place at the coffee shop (since yv said something about making changes for both him and his listener [my brain is too fried to remember, feel free to correct me]) while I was working on her, and a light bulb lit up from there-

What I originally had in mind was that she met barista!Finn but some turned of events had happened *looks at asherah* to where Ashe wakes up in an “alteration” of the world and start to have an unstable ability where she could travel/foresee(??) visions of different realities/realms in her sleep/dreams while being unaware of it and using those “dreams” as inspiration for her side jobs (art/seamstress stuff). she then gets a job opportunity at the coffee shop where she’ll meet Faust first, then later on crossing paths with gv!finn

And that’s the short and basic explanation of what my brain can give. there’s more to it but it’s still needs more work , I’m also considering on designing her. though I did say I was going for something simple, I don’t feel satisfied with the design the more I look at it

It wasn’t fair. Why did you see everybody but him? It was like his world stopped the moment he met you, your shy smile and awkward demeanor as he greeted you with a kiss to the back of your hand. A greeting he did to everyone…yet with you it felt special. 

But your world kept going. Skully was just another eccentric guy you added to your friends list. His greeting made you feel a bit awkward (maybe a bit seen), but he was still a stranger nonetheless. You were kind to him like you’d be to anyone else, he was funny (if not a bit unhinged) and you weren’t sure if you’d see him again after you went back to NRC (an unfortunate reality).

Skully wished for you to be the Sally to his Jack. That you’ll fall into his arms and he could hold you tightly in his Halloween paradise. Just the two of you surrounded by inky blackness, no songs to disturb you or children in their garish costumes. His dream quickly cracked apart as you were set to leave, to go back to NRC.

And as you stood there, waving to Jack, Sally, and Skully, ready to depart, he found himself falling onto his knees in front of you. Grabbing your hand he placed it over his erratically beating heart, orange eyes wide with a hint of desperation.

“Do you feel my heart?” Skully asked, hope dangerously blossoming as you flustered. “It beats only for you.”

Yet you managed to shatter his heart completely.

“I’m sorry,” You whispered, not wanting to embarrass him further. “But I don’t feel the same.”

As your friends cruelly snickered in the background, Skully lowered his head in defeat. He couldn’t stomach watching you go. Not when you’d be taking his heart with you.

hi mera how did your halloween go? :3 🖤🧡🖤

Hiiii!! (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ) it went well! I had classes and coursework to do, but that did not stop me from dressing for the occasion and celebrating. ✨✨✨ I also had the chance to watch Corpse Bride for the first time! I received a lot of asks regarding Skully in a Corpse Bride concept and I wanted to be able to understand the context before replying. Many thoughts now that I've seen it hehehe.... >:) it was an amazing film!!!!

Truthfully, I desperately wanted October to be over,,, T^T but now that it's November I feel like I'm finally in a proper Halloween spirit?!?! ;;;; the sadness is gradually ebbing away and I can navigate through the fog and worms that were once clogging my brain. :D despite these feelings, it was still a lovely Halloween. I hope yours was also magnificent and filled with happiness and sweets and spooky ghouls!!! 🖤✨🥀

🥀- Yep- simply plural for the most part! That or asking Archivist or Skully bc they both keep track and prob have the most accurate counts.

🍷- oh a lot. Uhh for example I’m really into numetal and emo among other things, my twin Thorn is really into new wave and 90s alt, but isn’t that picky, Tempest is into classic rock, Nico 2.0 loves hyperpop and city pop while Nico is more a fan of I guess alt rock?? There’s a few country enjoyers too. Ig the trend is a lot of us like rock and alt music, but there’s def a good variety between us.

🦇- yep- I’d put the count at about 12 or 13? With two of them being irl friends even though we haven’t seen them in a while. But that’s just who I can think of off the top of my head with shitty memory.
