Every day I gain new insight into Star Wars from this webbed site. This scene (and the prequels in general) deserved WAY more credit than they got and are more relevant now than ever.

Anakin's insinuations in the AoTC meadow scene are supposed to hint at Palpatine's influence on Anakin and how he used Anakin's lived experience and justified frustrations with the system to plant seeds of extreme power centralisation, i.e., dictatorship. Anakin understands this as some type of vigilante political justice where a wise, powerful person cuts through the bureaucratic BS and gets things done, not because he has fascist beliefs (which is more than just power centralisation).

Padmé's reaction to his insinuations weren't because she didn't understand where Anakin could be coming from (she literally witnessed his circumstances in TPM and was horrified at how much suffering exists in the outer rim). She also understands his frustrations because she has similar ones with the system. She was alarmed over the fact that all of this has led to Anakin believing in something like dictatorship. She wasn't coming from a place of "wealthy, privileged senator" who couldn't empathise with Anakin. She was horrified because Anakin may have come to believe in an extreme form of something that ails the core of any democratic system (power centralisation in silos leading to corruption).

The whole scene was a sinister, little foreshadow where Anakin embodies Palpatine's machinizations and Padmé, representative of true democracy, is a foil to it. Both Anakin and Padmé shared same core beliefs, i.e., justice and fairness. Anakin's galaxy-view was just distorted by Palpatine's grooming.

We all know the horrors of dictatorship. Padmé realised it too and Anakin didn't (for reasons which can be justifiably empathized with). That's the gist of the scene — it is a foreshadow

To add, Padmé was one of the only few politicians who tirelessly, relentlessly worked for the people. She was a symbol of hope, both for the galaxy and for Anakin during the war.

So, Anakin's PoV is justified but conclusion is distorted. Padmé's PoV is justified and correct.

[Edit: Also, ideology was never a major driver for Anakin. If Padmé's life hadn't been at stake, he won't have turned]

he really would 😫 he would insist on taking you on a spontaneous adventure late one night, reassuring you he knows the perfect place. you’re not official official and it’s still so new with him it's THAT phase of a relationship/crush omg... you like him sm that sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming and consuming in a fun, young way

the sky is super clear, no one else is and there, and the sand is cool on your bare feet, and you laugh as he pulls you towards the waves by your intertwined hands… he does shamelessly watching you tug your shirt over your head revealing your swimsuit.

you're wading in the water silently, the waving crashing distantly. you feel a bit reckless, you know he does too. but it was just that way with the two of you, anything felt possible, doable.... the water would be a bit cold but luigi takes you into his arms and that keeps you warm <3 he’d smile softly and you'd ask why, you're so close you can see the individual water droplets on his face and he just shakes his head, “i dunno, you just make me happy.

holding you against his chests in the water pointing out different constellations… uhhh ummm !!! would kiss down your neck and you shiver a bit, feeling him laugh against your skin, continuing to kiss down your shoulder, your back still tucked against his chest. omg what if he’s like… “i want you to be mine.”

and then you turn in his arms to look at his face, the almost full moon illuminates it slightly enough that you can see his soft eyes and you know immediately he’s very serious... he looks a bit nervous lol waiting intently for you to say something. you just kiss him and say "im already yours'" !!!!!!! sorry i'm feeling cheesy rn 🙈

Chess game

thinking of Hush the other day，imagine how Bruce used to lose on chess games to Tommy because he said Bruce don’t know how to use his ‘spy’ when he was a child.

At the end of the comic…

Harvey might be his spy, and Harvey plays it so well, Batman wins.

That’s why I think, maybe back in collage Bruce still lose when he play with Tommy time to time, and Harvey always wins over Tommy.

Bruce love to play with Harvey because he changes his strategies and so unpredictable, it’s fun to play with. Harvey will be very genuine in games with Bruce, it’s always a good game, a fair fight. Bruce loves how they back and forth with each other, just like later on he can tell Two Face from Harvey (which one’s in charge) in a heartbeat.

Harvey thought he let Gilda win sometimes, but actually Gilda is really good at it. Through 2 out of 5 Gilda wins it for sure.
