“Babies cry a lot, huh?”

“She’s really loud for being so small!”

“Maybe she hasn’t gotten a new toy in a long while. I can give her my teddy bear right now, she can borrow it until later.”

“What are we calling her? Or is she just ‘baby’?”

“I wanna hold her! Tell Dad he can’t hog her all the time!”

“Shh,” Sausage tempered the last one. “Babies need an adult to hold them most of the time, they can’t do things on their own.”

“But I’ll be careful! I promise!”

“You can hold her later. Right now Dad is trying to get her to sleep. She’s had a really big adventure today.”

That thought sunk into their collective little heads, then someone else piped up, “Can we go see her, please?? I wanna see the baby sleeping!”

“You all have to promise to be very quiet, all right?” Sausage passed a stern look over each of the six children. The oldest two nodded, still curious but understanding. The younger ones were the more excited, having less memory of being around infants before.

He led the group down the hall to the hastily assembled crib where there was finally less crying while the familiar sound of an elven lullaby was being sung. Sausage eased the door open and made a small wave, then pointed downward behind him. Scott, standing in the middle of the room with the baby in his arms, continued to sing but gave a quick look of acknowledgment.

Sausage motioned for the other children to stay at the door, helping them arrange themselves by height to get the best view, and they did their best to remain quiet while still shuffling around somewhat to look in past him.

Satisfied they would behave, Sausage leaned against the doorframe to listen with his arms folded, gazing over with a soft expression.

They hadn’t chosen an infant before because of the necessary set of needs, but with the way the human foundling had been presented they couldn’t turn the opportunity away, and now he was glad because it seemed to suit Scott so perfectly, and he couldn’t deny the way his own heart had swelled when he had first picked up the tiny child.

And really, what was one more new experience for their not-so-little-anymore family?

This one’s for my queer homies 🏳️‍🌈 Each entry is only five smackers and all proceeds benefit the One•n•Ten LGBTQ+ support organization. Since so many of my queer homies love spooky stuff and Halloween more than anyone else, I made this spooky edition mushroom lamp to raffle off in their honor 🕸️

I grew up with queer friends and family, and they showed me how important it is to be exactly who you want to be, despite fear and adversity. As a cis little white boy who faced very little adversity, I took that freedom of expression for granted most of my life, but I want to give back to the community that helped shape me because they face more fear and adversity than I could ever know.

This spooky edition mushroom lamp is made of solid brass with a dark pewter patina and custom spiderweb diffusers. As is the case for all my lamps, the unlacquered brass patina will change and evolve over time with use. Has a built in dimmer switch and an antique style black twisted fabric cord and plug.

Any relation by blood was severed in the hunter's attack, now clinging to the family she'd chosen and fearing for their safety now more than ever. Boo had been spending most of her nights at Sulley's whether the whole family was there or not. While her fathers' worked through their issues, she maintained the same relationship with them as when they were happily together. Things hadn't changed all that much on her side as Boo still came for dinner and enjoyed their company under the roof she called home growing up. The holidays got a little more complicated but it wasn't like she needed to split the time between homes like other people did.

This night in particular she was working through a study guide for her last final before school's holiday break and having the space to spread out was valued when she had that many flash cards going. That and the fact that the voices had felt louder recently, causing her to have trouble sleeping when all she could hear was those around her. The house was empty for most of the night but the silence was welcomed for awhile until her brain started to turn to mush after looking over terms for hours. "Kitty! You're home!" A smile brightened her defeated features when someone finally joined her in the kitchen. "Uh, no, I kind of forgot. I've got this huge exam this week I've just been cramming," the girl explained giving a quick glance down at the mess of index cards on the counter. "I've had this hankering for Thai..." An eyebrow went up at her proposal and danced in the hope of enticing him into the dinner she craved. "If you're down."

Walking into his home to find the lights already on and someone inside wasn’t all that strange of an occurrence, nor did it bother or put him on any type of edge. It was always one of two people - either Mike or Boo hanging out in the living room or kitchen, waiting for him to be home. For even though his husband had officially moved out a few months ago, they still spent a good majority of evenings in this house together. Which was potentially a problem in the whole attempting to separate and see if they were actually still in love with each other or not, but Sulley wasn’t strong enough to cut Mike out like that just quite yet. Because no matter what their relationship status might be, they would always be best friends first and foremost.

Turning the corner to enter the kitchen, he can’t deny the relief he feels at seeing the younger girl sitting on one of the island stools in the center of the room rather than his husband. “Hey there kiddo,” he greets easily, making his way over to ruffle her hair before he continues on towards the fridge to start rooting around for a viable dinner option. “You eat already? I doubt Mike’s joining tonight if he’s not already here, so it’ll just be us if you’re staying. What are you feeling like?” It was always the question he asked at this time, never wanting to be the one to make the tough decision of picking out a meal.

Happy halloween 🎃 my halloween was pretty chill, i think the only cool thing that happened was that I closet cosplayed SVT’s iconic ready to love zoom live (bc i used the same backdrop lmao) while I was in class today. Thought I wouldn’t be the one to present but alas, my homework was chosen to be representative so I had to speak so my picture of Cheol made its class debut. SEOKMIN IN FIRE EMBLEM AU; a headcanon list

While it doesn’t have a specific game from the series in the title, i’ll be using Three Houses as my main inspiration since it’s the one I recently played. Will not follow the game’s plot directly bc i’ll be focusing more on the school and daily life parts more lol.

Lee Seokmin, the second child and next in line to be the head of House Lee, one of the five great houses of the Leicester Alliance. His family is known to possess great vocal ability so most of them became singers and bards and well acquainted with the opera

I think he fits a class that can wield a sword the best (this is me going off on vibes alone and based it off arthur!kyeom). Personally, i’d put him as either a soldier or hero class but being part of the cavalier is good too. The thing is, Seokmin is just as skilled with a bow. Much like the other kids from the leicester alliance, he’s been trained to be able to use one with great accuracy but after trying a sword, he found it much more comfortable to use.

Final verdict — his starting class is hero.

Seokmin is a protector. He will, instinctively, gladly take the hit for you. The type to subtly pull you behind him when on the battlefield bc he’d rather have you out of harm’s way. You know that look when he’s super focused? He eyes his enemies like a hawk, he’ll be ready to counter and block whoever is daring enough to make the first move.

But like that’s what makes it his biggest weakness too, the emotional side that comes out especially when he’s so riled up. he was once chastised by Seungcheol, after a mission went awry. He got riled up so bad, emotions blinding him that he failed to notice a teammate get tag teamed by one of the enemy soldiers. Had Jeonghan been a second late, it could’ve ended with one of them dead. They were lucky to get out alive, gravely injured but alive.

Seokmin vows never to let his rage blindside him again.

Ok but can you imagine his support dialogues? The s-support dialogue?? Gonna go insane thinking about it bc i bet it’ll be so sweet. Instead of the usually loud and energetic seokmin, we are greeted by the softer and gentler side of himself. The lover; the one who looks at you with so much affection that it manifests in the way he treats you. He talks in whispers bc he fears that any decibel higher than 40 will shatter the fragile atmosphere he has with you. Goddess forbid.

He’ll take your hand gently in his, his thumbs rubbing small circles on the back of your palm like a promise that he’ll keep the world safe for you because he’d rather go to hell first and suffer if it meant keeping the love of his life safe.

Anyways, you’ll find Seokmin usually by the stables or the dining hall. He has an affinity with horses and often volunteers to help with the horses and pegasi. Oftentimes, you’d find him making pizza with Mingyu. The entire monastery now knows the second and third wednesdays of the month are unofficiall ‘pizza nights’.

Seokmin naturally gets along with students from the other houses. his bright disposition and easy going nature making it easy to befriend those around him. He’s kind of like a magnet? Also he sings really well, and he sings everywhere at anytime, it’s hard not to ignore him (bad thing or not).

He’s also in the choir with Seungkwan and Joshua. Jeonghan joins from time to time.

anyway sorry for this embarrassing emotional rambling, killjoys living happy lives is just something so precious and thank you for the blessing byeeee -Joy🕸️

Anyways, highlight reel of the AU where they live (not to be mistaken with the AUs where they don't die):

the Fabulous Killjoys don't lose the Girl in the aftermath of the Na Na Na mv, rendering the action of the Sing mv null. She grows up with her siblings and honorary extended radio crew family. Many shenanigans are had in her teenage years including her, Vamos and Vaya teaming up to beat NewsAGoGo's Space Invaders high score and accidentally starting a war (as you do) which Vinyl wins by decimating everyone in pinball, calling Poison at 2 am to help tail the Ultra Vs' van because they got a flat in Inner Zone 4, south of the Diner, on their way to a Zone concert, marksmanship competitions with Jet and Uncle Cherri Cola, etc. She learns to make The sickest patches from Kobra and Pony, a lot of which end up on her jeans or Ghoul's vest and sometimes on the inside of Jet's jacket.

BL/i gets brought down through joint efforts by killjoys and juvies, which means uh. Jet and the Girl get reunited with their parents, which comes with its highs and lows especially since both parties have been out of their kids' lives for so long, but at the same time Jet and the Girl are not children anymore, so they can leverage some of the weight themselves and generally it turns out alright. Jet is really happy to have his parents back in his life, actually, and him and Kobra always make the time to visit them and catch them up on what's been going on, or stay over at their place instead for a few days before holidays to help with preparations and whatnot. Can't say they entirely understand these two's relationship, but they're happy their son is happy! :)

with the Girl things are a bit different because of circumstances, but the Fabulous Killjoys and radio crew do try to catch her mum up with most of the things she's missed, especially the embarrassing pre-teen stuff because the Four are her siblings after all, and the Girl moves close to her mum's new place in order to spend time together more easily. Much like in my regular canon, they bond together over activities like gardening and yarn crafts, and the Girl helps her mum find her passion for poetry, in turn getting boy advice over tea, coffee and cookies and it's not like nothing's ever been bad or they've never been apart, but it doesn't hurt anymore.

talking of holidays, they always get together at the Diner to celebrate together, blood and chosen family members alike, and everybody brings something to the table and it's really nice and festive and if the holiday they're celebrating involves giving gifts they do a lottery a few weeks prior to decide who gets gifts for who because these are ultimately fairly large family events, but it's always lots of fun! A lot of family traditions also get brought in and mixed together, but sadly I have no examples at the moment. Birthdays, as in most versions of my canon, are very important, so you bet your ass that for the entirety of the 24 hours of one's birthday they are going to see their entire family at least once and absolutely get drowned in gifs and/or birthday wishes.

technically Ghoul, Poison and Kobra's respective parents are still somewhere out there in Battery City, but it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, y'know? Ghoul's parents have burnt their bridges long ago and would be unwilling to compromise even when giver the chance anyways, and Kobra and Poison are just better off not knowing that their parents are still out there somewhere because it'd mean having to unpack a lot of unpleasant stuff all over again and they've already moved on, so it's perhaps best to leave things as they are.

Ghoul not only has kid, but they also have a wife, and together they are both great parents because they can count on each other to call out any bad habit they might've picked up from or developed because of their own upbringings and generally have people they can fall back on when and if they need it. I literally cannot get across how incredibly happy Ghoul is and how lucky they consider themselves, especially since their idea of breaking the cycle of bad parenting was dying young (more or less by their own doing, or at the very least on their terms) and never having kids. They literally have no doubt that this is real because it is so far beyond anything they could've ever imagined.

I've said it before in the OG tags, but it bears repeating: the Girl is so excited to be an aunt, and it's mostly because all the people who she considers to be her aunts/uncles/etc genuinely made her childhood filled with good memories and made her feel like she had someone who she could go to other than her siblings who'd take her seriously, but wouldn't be so inclined to coddle her or her feelings. She wants to be that person, and while the kid is technically too young for it in the timeframe of this AU I usually think about, she still does make a point to leave Ghoul and and their wife little trinkets for the kid, and her mum even helped her do a knitted quilt. She might or might not also adopted sneaking stuff like candy and silly little cards with her gifts from Cherri, but she has elected to make no comments when confronted about it, amused.

Ghoul's wife and the Girl's mum help Poison at their bakery and they are besties <3. Poison is always the first to wake up and start making bread, cookies and muffins and always "bakes too much" on purpose because the bakery gives away surplus products to Gravel Gertie's orphanage, especially since the people there also run a food bank, and Kobra loves its sibling, and if it were in their place it'd probably do the same thing, but it also knows how much Poison actually sleeps on average and it takes it leaving its warm cozy "bed" at 1 am and driving its ass two zones to smack some sense into them it will do it. It is seriously considering unionizing everyone living near them to make sure this dumbass actually gets an 8 hours of sleep. Lock them out of the bakery for crimes against sleepy cozy time. Star, it is being very serious, Star—

Kobra and Jet technically still half-live at the diner, though more often than not they end up sleeping at their mechanics shop (this is a family of hypocrites, if you couldn't tell already /lh) and much like the Diner, their shop has a big, colorful mural on the back that their crew all all added something to.

Jet's got so many astronomy books because the Girl asks Vaya to be on the lookout for them while going around (although a couple were from Volume getting them as part of a trade) and he very much still does make mental note of any cool stuff he reads about to share with the people he cares about. He's even more excited when he learns the new of a constellation he didn't know the name of. so he can retcon himself and properly identify them especially if it's one he saw with Ghoul because they are science bros, and science bros learn the secrets of the Universe together <3 (and also use said secrets of the Universe to communicate they still care about each other, but have negative 0 emotional bandwidth to communicate that fact in a direct manner)
