how does barbara handle hatemail, if she gets any? what are bennett's feelings about his real good heals? does he enjoy being a healer / being able to help people? what if teucer ever found out exactly whats up with his brother? does havria ever get phantom pains from where she was stabbed?

barbara doesn’t receive hatemail per say, but she does hear the rumors people say about her, especially some of the sisters. she tries to shrug it off, and keep a smile on her face- push those feelings away, and never deal with them : but sometimes they do get to her and she’ll cry herself to sleep after a particularly nasty day.

benny is confused by their abt their healing. their healing comes from a place of desperation, in a sense- you’re healed enough to keep moving, but never totally healed. they’re greatful for that, and a vision is a sign that the gods haven’t given up on their existence- but like, it’s kinda depressing to even think about, because of their subconscious death seeking behavior- ( which is a whole different talk for another day )- they often wonder if like. they’re even doing the right thing with such a power- because often their bad luck makes a situation worse in their mind, regardless of how things really are.

teucer :

at first, teucer would be confused. the tsaritsa is good, right ? his big brother loves her and he’s a nice person- and she’s just trying to help people, isn’t she ? but, the more he’d learn- the more cracks would form in the pedestal that he has placed ajax upon ; and esp in a timeline where teucer receives a vision and has any meaningful contact with people from the outside of schenzaya- that pedestal would shatter, and he’d be heartbroken. considering teucer either did not exist yet, or was a literal infant when ajax fell into abyss- he’d definitely regard his brother with a lot more anger and suspicion ; and i think he’d run away from home again, and it’d be up to him to chose with how to deal with that.

yes. and fairly often. occasionally, she’ll wake up from a dead sleep from the pain. rather than the pain that bothers her the most- (she knows that it's logically it aches, because of how she physically obtained the scar on her chest)- but the feelings of betrayal, sadness, melancholy and understanding that she feels about the wound causes her no end of frustration until she regains her memory. after she regains her memory, the pain doesn't totally go away forever- but it’s less phantom pains, and more of an ache that scar tissue can sometimes have.

“ i’m fine ! i promise ! ” ( they were, not fine, and in fact- a little woozy. ) bennett waves their hands around in a chaotic manner, trying to ward off the dizziness. “ wait ! er- ” they pause, as the spinning gets worse. “ maybe i do need to sit down a little bit . . . ”

“ oh !! ” there’s an exclamation of realization from the adventurer, as their pen moves across the paper to scribe the other’s words down. bennett’s eyes practically glitter with excitement, as they slot the sentence in between a blank spot in their poetry. “ that flows a lot better now ! ” a lopsided grin- all earnest and happy, all too eager to have any sort of attention that wasn’t being ( correctly ) blamed for whatever misfortune befell the people around them. “ you’re really good at writing ! have you ever thought about becoming a professional author when you grow up ? ”

he's picking thorns out of bennett's arm. very unfortunate to fall off a cliff directly into a thorny bush this soon after accidentally setting an uncomfortably large area on fire. hm. "you're very lucky to have survived this many accidents. murphy's law and all that. anyway, does your head hurt right now?"

“ if i were actually lucky- i wouldn't be getting in all these accidents. ” the adventurer forces a laugh, smiling to keep merlin from worrying to much. “ so this is just normal for me, actually. ” bennett closes their eyes as they wince in discomfort as a particularly nasty thorn is dislodged from the reddened skin where it had touched some of the fire. " um- i mean. i . . . a little, but it’s always kinda hurting. ”

“ i mean- ” bennett laughs. it’s forcibly cheerful, a big smile plastered hollowly across their face. ( too big, too wide, too many teeth ) i deserve it. my bad luck ruins everything- people don’t want to be around me, and i don’t blame them. of course, they refuse to say that out loud- especially to razor, one of the few who still willingly hung around with bennett.  “ y’know, i can’t really find it in my heart to be upset. and . . . uh ! plenty of people still like me. so. uh- there’s that, i guess ! ”

“ you don’t have to ! ” bennett looks up at the redhead in response.“ i'm fine ! yep ! i’m totally fine !! ”  somehow, falling into a hole that they can’t get out of because they’ve hurt an ankle is . . . just bennett’s luck.

but they can’t accept help- they don’t want to infect one of the most powerful men in mondstadt with misfortune, so they decided to just figure it out. they always do. ( you haven’t died yet. the gods won’t let you die. )

“ seriously ! i’ll be fine- ” bennett grunts as they stand up, shifting to keep weight from being put on their injured ankle. “ come back tomorrow- if i’m not out of here by then, i’ll actually need your hand. ”
