Malachite is a fusion in the show, between lapis and jasper, his it will make sense for them not wanting to fuse, when both parties tortured each other.

Yeah, it would make sense. Especially if both the Lapis half and the Jasper half are off color in some way, be it too skinny or too small or with little specks in their gem or their form. I can see a Malachite fusion Reader being unhappy, angry, and scared most of the time, especially if the platonic yandere gems (the X-Men characters) are trying to find them or fight them or capture them. There is potential for Malachite Reader to be a healthy fusion in the future, but both gem halves have to grow and change, mainly learning to talk about their problems and listen to others, with a dash of respecting each other...

What about, for a Gem AU, we have a Malachite AU? Or some version of a water/blue gem fusing with a soldier/orange or yellow gem? Is it just me, or did I like that bit? The question is... is Reader Malachite, or is Reader one of the separate gems who makes up Malachite?
