To Pisti. “ you know you’re never a nuisance nor a burden. not to me. ”

She had a particularly rough day today. In fact, it had been the toughest since she’s been here. Pisti had loved her time in Sindria, loved it so much that when something like this came up, it sorta ruined her usual sunshine attitude for a while. The young lady simply wanted to have some fun, pulling a few pranks here and there on her fellow generals such as dying Ja’far’s clothes a different color, replacing the king’s wine with some grape juice, wrote a love letter from Sharrkan to Yamraiha, and so many other things to others. Things had been so serious around here lately with everyone worrying about Lady Kagome’s recovery from her coma that she just wanted to try and get things back to normal with some harmless fun. Pisti hated seeing everyone so sad, after all.

However, they all reacted negatively and yelled at her. Some even said she was unfit to be a general with how immature she was, a sentiment that hurt her beyond belief. It’s not like she wasn’t unaware of how people saw her, most often mistaking her for a child, but she worked so hard everyday to prove she was just as capable as her comrades. She had fled to her usual safe haven in the stables on the island, where most of the animals lived, and it’s there that Spartos finds her. She is happy to see him, even if her somber expression doesn’t show it.

“It’s not like I’m not upset too...Patrolling the skies is my job. I’m the one who didn’t see Judar coming. If anyone’s to blame for what happened to the queen, it’s....me. And...that’s why I wanted to just try and cheer everyone up. She...She wouldn’t want us to be all sad and gloomy...” The girl then looks to the knight, a weak smile crossing her face. “But...thank you. I...I appreciate that, Spartos. I know I can always count on you to help me feel better. You’re a sweetie, you know that?”

Pisti had found herself alone again, sitting alone on the shores of one of the many beaches on the island when Spartos finds her. She had been more distant as of late, performing her duties then retreating rather than going out and socializing like was commonplace. Anyone could tell something was up with her, but of course, Spartos is the one to find her. He always is the one to find her.

At his question, she rests her chin on her knees as her eyes focus on the tide moving out. Being out here with no one else around had given her a lot of time to think about things, things that the battle they recently had with Al Tharman when they tried to destroy Sindria had become apparent. She should be just happy that they won and no one died. She should just be happy their guests had returned safe, and King Sinbad’s curse is gone. She should just be happy it’s over and peace has returned to the island.  

And yet she isn’t. 

“You know...You’re actually... s-super lucky, Spartos...You and everyone else...” There she is again hiding behind that smile, the smile that she was putting on to so desperately hide tears that were threatening to spill. It was a trait the queen of this country also used. Though, Pisiti was a lot better at hiding it than Lady Kagome was. “You...You all are super skilled warriors. No matter your opponent, you can beat them on your strength and skills alone. And yet...I’m a general when I can’t defend myself without calling upon someone else...I’m not...”

She puts her head down, tears dripping onto her knees that then slowly fall to the sand below. “I’m not like my mom...or my sisters...I’m the...runt of the litter...The one who can’t ever do anything right...It...It makes me wonder if the...only reason I was chosen to come here was...so I was out of the way...”

Leaves a neatly wrapped package outside Pisti's door containing an elaborate necklace in the style traditionally worn in Sasan. The gilded silver with turquoise and garnet inlays could be seen as luxurious or even pretentious to someone unfamiliar with Sasan's culture, but great care seems to have been taken in the selection and even size of the piece. Additionally, there is a note included that simply says, "Thank you."

She had just come back from a visit to her mother and sisters in her homeland when she finds the gift, the general slowly bending down to take the wrapped packed and put it into her room. Pisti had gotten some gifts of her own to give to her comrades, but that could wait as she honestly wanted to see what was inside and who gave it to her. 

Gently, she unwraps the object to reveal it’s radiance to the world, Pisit’s eyes widening in awe at the beauty of the necklace. In comparison to what one might expect from a royal, Pisit didn’t really lavish herself in jewels. She did on special occasions, of course, but not often. However, that might have to change when she learns just who gave the item to her and the sentimental meaning behind it. 

“Oh Spartos, you’re such a sweetie...Guess it’s a good thing I got you something too!” The girl giggles to herself before putting the necklace around her neck. She just can’t wait to show it off, knowing that everyone is going to be guessing just who got it for her. Though, she won’t say who, not only to keep them guessing but to not embarrass her friend. It will be a nice little thing between the two of them.
