when it comes to my beastkin, they live in a world where humans are aware of their presence, they don't bother hiding the animalistic traits that make them who they are.

my birds ( salem, elliot, ezra & ogun ), most of their fingers are talon-like, they stress-grip and make trilling noises, that haunting gunshot noise shoebills make, that loud noise hawks make, and for salem and elliot, you can tell they're phoenixes, because they're pale enough to see the fire in their veins. most of my birds, their wingspan will always be five times the width of their body ( it's suppose to support their weight ) and yes, they do have somewhat hollow bones but most of them have musculature skeletons that can handle harsh landings.

same with my predators, all my cats tend to make growling noises, they knock shit off tables, hiss, they have tails. most of this is not hidden, they can half-shift, and fully shift without a seconds notice, especially if in an emotional state. they get the zoomies, they go into heats ( where applicable for their animal ) and they have mating instincts.

and for some of them, but especially for my cats and birds, more specifically for my birds (i.e elliot and salem ), they tend to have like feathers hidden in their hair, or light feathers along their spine, they hop, and coo, and trill when happy, they make distressed noises. they're not human, they're still beasts no matter how pretty the human skin is.

Gioia really is just so sweet and kind. That people often forget she’s very perceptive behind it all. It’s what makes her a great caretaker. She goes out of her way to pay attention when no one else does because it’s imperative to notice the smallest details because it could help someone in need.

gioia has a total of two tattoos, both sailor moon related. left ( this is on the outside of her right thigh ) and right ( this is wrapped her entire top of her left thigh. )

quality time is definitely gioia's love language, more than anything else because she likes being around the people she cares for. she loves hearing their voice, loves listening to them get passionate about their likes and dislikes. and she's an attentive listener, and just is so happy to sit there and listen and ask questions so they keep talking.

it's a bi-weekly routine for gioia and sabria to get their mani/pedis. its the only time she can get her sister out the house.

also please never underestimate gioia's desire to cuddle. you had a bad day ? lay your head on her boobs and tell her about it.

sometimes gioia foregoes bras because if she's at work for more than 12 hours, they cut into her sides. and as someone with a healthy C cup, four hours is a minimum for her.

coming from a very interesting background, gioia found herself needing to branch out from the violence, both for herself and for her younger siblings. it was easiest to find a job where she can help others because it was in her gentle nature. putting herself through nursing classes with her twin, they both found a love for healing others, for taking care of those in need. and though her twin branched off and did something else, gioia took her nursing degree and became an emt, which she did for atleast five years but recently, she stepped back into nursing full stop since she felt she needed a change. so now she's a full time er nurse who has a very friendly camraderie with her fellow nurses and doctors.

gioia really, really appreciates honesty, and being direct with her. she doesn't want to have to overthink or wrongly assume anything about a blanket statement. like the longer she thinks about it, the worst outcome she comes to.

as busy as gioia is most of the time, she cannot masturbate because once she does, sometimes it's great and she can nap like a kitten and other times it's disatisfying. but if it was up to her, she'd want a helping hand, there's something about someone else's hands doing the work and reaching those places she can't that really get off so well.

What is Gioia's stand on religion? How does she feel about people who might reject hospital help in favour of prayers? What about when they make these choices for their children as well?

she has a complicated relationship with religion. raised as catholic, gioia grew up believing in many things, in many beliefs, but when those beliefs hurt the people around her with it's hypocrisy, she took a step back. that doesn't mean she judges other people who continue to practice, it just means she respect their decisions, while also doing her best to do her job to the best of her abilities.

there have been too many instances in where prayers have been chosen for people young and old versus seeking actual help from the hospital when dealing with dire situations. for gioia, she does not mind if someone would rather pray for themselves or their children, but she also knows that in most cases, they wouldn't have bought themselves or their children to the hospital if prayer had worked in the first place. and she tries her best to explain that, especially if she's dealing with contagious diseases or terminal illnesses, or even wounds that can lead to death if they're seriously infected.

honestly, it easier for her to persuade patients to let her treat them because praying for a healthy recovery then praying over a body bag is an easy decision. the potential of loss is not greater than living a limited life.

Yes and non. Gioia believes that people have the ability to change, but only if they chose to. But while they can change, habits can not, which begs the question if a person really changed at all. However, the same goes for Gioia, herself. She has changed, atleast her own habits of putting herself in harm's way. She's more hypervigilante and while she still puts others above herself, she's more conscious of herself as a whole. She takes more breaks outside her job. It's helped heal her frayed nerves. Gioia though, she knows mentally, she's changed but her personality remains the same, her habits have changed but she'll always be who she was.

gioia is very much ambidextrous, though she mainly writes with her left hand since it often feels weird writing with her right.

gioia very much is affectionate. like if she had a love language, it'd be feeding her person and being in their space. she loves the skin contact and just feeling their warmth when she's leaning against them. she's very touchy, and will want to play with their fingers and nuzzle their shoulder.
