　SOMETHING I DON'T LIKE TO RP. ACCEPTING.

　Fluff, domestic, cutesy stuff. I'll still do it, obviously, there's plenty of it throughout this and other blogs I've run, but if I have a choice it's not my favorite thing to do. I tend to gravitate toward characters that have no interest in a domestic situation to begin with, so even if they are married and have a family and all that jazz or whatever, it's not gonna be the picture perfect situation to begin with. That and a lot of milquetoast stuff just gets boring and repetitive to me.

You are the only person so far who seems to know what you’re talking and is well studied so I decided to sent this ask for you. It will have a little venting, but nothing too extreme or long also if you don’t mind I’d rather speak in a not non duality way because I wouldn’t know how to formulate my sentences without giving power to the physical world in a sense, and I’m not exactly looking for enlightenment in non dualism it’s just a question about this whole thing that has been going on on tumblr and other communities about manifestation and non dualism.

I’ve been on this journey of manifestation, law of assumption, non duality etc etc for a year now and the main thing that kept popping up in my head was “is this concept true?”

The concept that I’m talking about is: “we are the creators of our reality”

Honestly, this journey has brought me a lot of suffer because I’m a natural overthinker, skeptical, a tad pessimistic and extremely self judging. So I would often feel dumb and stupid for believing I could actually change my WHOLE life and manifest things that would be seem as actually absurd and impossible.

This experience of seeing so many times people saying “we are limitless” or “everything is malleable” “you can get anything you want” has dragged me into this rabbit whole of full peace of mind and hope and then being totally ripped apart by negativity, pessimism and skepticism.

I’m honestly tired and I really, really, really need to get out of it, so you are my hope of weather I should continue my journey to get a better life or finally have a closure on this whole world of manifestation, shifting realities etc

Is it really possible? I’m asking this with my whole heart and soul. It is possible to experience this reality shiftings, changes of physical appearance, revise past and all that?

I really need to put an end on my suffering and move on with my life and I rather know the final answer now instead of wasting my life on things that won’t happen and just end up more frustrated in the future.

Can we change our 3D world (I know you said there’s no separation, but as I said I can’t speak in a non duality way I’m sorry) or we just have to accept we can only control to a certain point?

Is it true that if I’m not meant to be rich no matter what I do, I won’t? That no matter how hard I try I could never “attract” a specific person? Is it true that the only thing I can do in this life is find peace by accepting that certain things are meant to be and never changed? Is accepting that I am not limitless like as all those bloggers, teachers, Neville Goddard claimed I am?

In tibet we have these sayings:

Even though i tag my stuff with "#nondualism" and a lot of people associate me with it, i don't follow any concept in particular. I only point you into the direction of "THAT". What you do with it, is your choice. You said you've been on a "journey" with lots of concepts like LoA, Manifestation, ND. Ask yourself, what exactly has been keeping you from actually turning within into silence instead of gathering one concept after another? Who decides that something is "impossible" and "absurd" like you said? I know you already told me that you'll talk in concepts but i still have to ask, are the limitations you have set for yourself REALLY fundamentally a thing? Do they exist if you aren't aware of such limitations?

Emptiness

NO concept is true, untrue or real. No words are true, untrue or real. I could tell you "no, Non Dualism or "AWARENESS" is not true. You can't change your life" but that's going to have a negative impact on you, wouldn't it? Why is that so? Those words don't prove anything to you. They are just words.

EVERY word is empty by nature, we give meaning to them. If i told you "བདག དངབ བསམ ངས་ཡང་ཡིན་གསལ" could you do anything with that sentence? No, because that sentence has no meaning to you.. you don't speak the language. Whatever I said, is meaningless to you. But if I translated it in english, you would be able to understand because you speak english and give it meaning (-> what was once meaningless and empty, now has an illusory meaning given by you). Got it?

What I'm trying to say is that it is important to understand that words have no meaning whatsoever BY NATURE and because they are meaningless BY NATURE, we can tell you whatever we want to, it is up to you alone what you're going to do with that. Does that make any sense to you? I hope i got my point across on how we give meanings to every empty word.

All concepts only POINT you to one direction -> "IT". Some, like advaita vedanta, are more direct than many limited & watered down versions of ND people now call "Law of Consciousness or Law of Assumption "with extra steps" on tumblr or twitter. did fuck all this week tbh, even though i write every day as i always do, partly because i realized along the way it’ll be interesting for me to change up some things in the established long-time-ago plot. so i was mostly trying to figure out what will make the process for me as fun as possible.

“Yeah, actually, Higashi was coming over to help.” Kaito frowned at Yagami’s changed expression, “I won’t throw you out of the office or anything. Higashi won’t be against meeting you too.”

Yagami could almost laugh. “He will.”

Kaito sighed heavily, obviously having no evidence to support his wishful thinking. “Yes, okay, he will be. But we both know it’d do him some good— him and you. It’s a good time for you two to get along if anything.” He crossed arms on his chest and glared at Yagami, daring him to protest. That made the latter feel like a troubled kid again, getting lectured about something stupid.

Yagami chuckled. Kaito would make a fearsome, though mostly simple, dad. Yagami seriously doubted that there was anyone else in the world believing that for him befriending Higashi would be that easy. “Thanks, Kaito-san. I appreciate it, I guess.”

“Nah, don’t sweat it,” he answered, missing (or ignoring) the skeptical undertone. “It sucks being with you two in the same room most of the time. Shootin’ daggers at each other and all that.” Kaito shook his head disapprovingly, going into full, unrestrained dad mode. “You should’ve figured out this tension by now. It’s been years.”

i like the way i ended it but in terms of what happened afterwards she probably took you to her house to patch you up. she probably lives uncomfortable close to your home (this is not a coincidence). from there she could've pretended some actual villain came in and killed the heroes instead of her and tried to frame it as you being innocent or wrongly accused, or just owned up to the murders and gone on the run with you. she's not one of the top heroes of the country for nothing though so you wind up keeping her because she is useful despite *gestures* everything about her

and just for you. here's a scrapped & unfinished draft scene i have saved for the original fic (unedited), starting roughly where you get [attacked] by the two heroes looking to arrest you:

and even though you can’t hear anything properly over the sound in your ears, you gather just enough strength to prop yourself up on your arms shakily and spit onto the guy’s shoes.

you think you hear a scoff before someone (the other guy, maybe) kicks your stomach.

it’s not just your senses that’re starting to slip at this point; your consciousness is close to joining.

there’s some commotion coming from the entry to the alley, you think, but it’s impossible to see anything, let alone focus on it. you slip into sleep quickly.

it’s bright when you open your eyes.

well, bright for someone who was just asleep. it’s not actually too bright, just a decently lit room during the early evening just before sunset.

the second thing you notice is that your whole body fucking hurts. the back of your head pulsates painfully, especially when you move your head, and your stomach feels incredibly sore. other than that, though, you’re feeling much too comfortable to be in a prison cell.

a quick look around the room confirms your thoughts. yeah, whatever this place is, it’s not a prison cell. you don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.

the decor reminds you of something you’ve might’ve chosen when you were younger. it makes you strangely nostalgic, and it makes you want to go back to sleep and pretend this is just some weird, bad dream and that everything will be okay again when you wake up.

unfortunately, your splitting headache prevents you from doing that.

the door opening gives you a sense of deja vu.

her gasps are always so dainty, as if they’re practiced to perfect to seem cute and ladylike. this one, though, feels more genuine, as if seeing you awake is genuinely good news to her.

she doesn’t close the door this time, instead closing the distance to you and helping you sit up.

"how many fingers am I holding up?" she wastes no time in shoving a hand in your face, only retracting it when you cringe and try to push your head away.

"four," you answer anyway, voice croaky. she seems visibly relieved, offering you a glass of water and a pill.

"ibuprofen," she says quickly when you look at it skeptically. "but I can get you a new, unopened one if that would make you feel better…?"

you take it anyway. to her credit, it tastes exactly like the type you usually buy. you have no clue if this is coincidence or not, given that you seem to be in her private bedroom, and you frankly don’t want to know.

she watches you intensely as you drink the entire glass, then sits down on the floor and leans against the bed, leaving only her folded arms and head on it.

you’re pretty sure she takes a big sniff after practically burying her head into your lap.

her hand reaches up to yours and intertwines them soon enough. she lets out a content sigh, eyes still staring intently at you.

"[name]," your name leaves her lips like a content sigh. you immediately stiffen. "who did this to you?"

"how do you know my name."

she giggles, the noise sounding much more sinister this time around. "you’re so cute… I’d always wanted to be your hero, to be the one you’d depend on. but…." a lovesick smile spreads on her face as alarm bells ring in your head. "then you became a vigilante."

her thumb rubs circles into your hand.

So basically yes, Odie and Lyman were introduced at the same time, with a comic where Lyman begs Jon to take him in and Jon agrees. Lyman moves in, acting as Jon's roommate and another human for him to bounce off of. Him moving in also introduces Odie since he was his owner. Fast forward, Jim starts using Lyman less and less as he comes up with more excuses for Garfield to take his place (like Jon disguising Garfield as a child so he can take him out places). We don't need Lyman anymore, we have Garfield!

Lyman's last big appearance in the comics was in 1983. He makes a cameo in 1988 for Garfield's 10th anniversary party, and then another cameo in 2011 as a photo in a newspaper. After Lyman is wrote out, Odie is adopted by Jon and eventually retconned to ACTUALLY BEING Jon's dog in the first place. In the 20th anniversary collection, Jim Davis gives a few different answers on what happened to Lyman. The one that stands out the most is explanation number one: "Don't look in Jon's basement!"

In other media, we have two possible explanations: Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt (I can't find a concrete release date for this one but it's definitely early 2000s) and the Garfield Show (2013). Whether these are canon are debatable, but they're still worth mentioning. In the Garfield Show, we learn that Lyman is a photographer who went missing on an expedition long ago. When Jon goes to find him, he discovers that Lyman has been living in the jungle (? I think but I can't remember), pretending to be a cryptid in order to protect it. Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt presents a very different story. Remember how I said Jim Davis said not to look in Jon's basement? Guess who's in the house's basement :) In the sequel we also see his severed head in the oven which serves as a jumpscare and lowers Garf's health

Also holy shit I'm in the tag?? Woag it's been a really long time since I've posted about Garfield in general and that AU, but what happened is I went overboard and ended up turning the lil snippet into a full blown multi chapter story about Jon having nightmares about an evil cat deity and he, his conspiracy obsessed friend Lyman, and his skeptical friend Liz investigating into the cat deity and getting more than they bargained for. To be honest I should just publish the original story since that can already stand on its own, and I don't have much for the expanded version, but I still like the whole idea. Maybe I can turn it into a prequel so I can get the original out :P I have another Garfield story where Garfield learns to cook (called "Garfield Ramsay", which I already have some chapters posted) and I had a snippet about Lyman I shared based on Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt. No idea if that will actually get used but I hope I can since it was pretty silly

     So  when  I  was  about  12  years  old,  I  met  a  man  in  his  30s  through  the  cosplay  tag  on  Omegle.  I  never  saw  his  face,  but  he  saw  me.  We  exchanged  Skypes  and  started  speaking  there.  After  about  a   month,  he  had  me  wrapped  around  his  finger  through  the  usual  grooming  methods.  Treating  me  like  I  was  older  than  I  was,  complimenting  me,  supporting  me  when  my  parents  didn’t,  etc.  He  then  asked  me  to  masturbate  on  camera  for  him.  And  I  did.  Throughout  a  year  of  this  and  worse  things,  he  used  primarily  Homestuck  content  to  show  me  that  what  was  happening  “ was  okay. ”  The  characters  were  about  the  same  age  as  me,  and  he  said  that  sexualizing  the  characters  was  wrong  because  they  “ couldn’t  consent. ”  He  insisted  I  could,  which  no  child  can  in  that  case,  thus  convincing  me  that  I  was  in  control  and  I  wanted  what  was  happening.  I  “ broke  up ”  with  him  after  I  turned  13  and  I  never  told  anyone.

     Along  the  way  of  me  growing  up  and  going  through  puberty,  I  did  what  most  people  do  and  looked  up  porn,  specifically  hentai.  I  would  run  across  lolisho  content  without  knowing  until  halfway  through  and  would  feel  disgusted  with  myself,  even  if  in  the  story,  the  characters  were  happy  and  okay,  because  “ no  one  asked  them. ”  The  fact  that  they  could  literally  not  be  asked  never  occurred  to  me.  I  went  from  saying  “ aging  up  a  character  for  sex  is  okay ”  to  saying  “ avoid  the  underage  characters  entirely ”  to   “ size  differences  mean  you  wish  there  was  a  child  involved ”   to  “ having  kinks  like  ageplay  or  noncon  means  you're  really  a  pedophile  or  a  rapist. ”  It  just  kept  going  from  there.

     It  was  actually  VivziePop  who  helped  me  at  first.  She’d  been  called  out  for  student/teacher  ships,  underage  characters  in  sexual  drawings,  and  “ bestiality. ”  When  I  looked  into  it  myself,  the  student/teacher  ship  was  between  two  adults,  the  underage  character  wasn’t  even  underage  in  the  story  anymore,  and  the  “ bestiality ”  was  a  talking  snake  from  a  cartoon.  It  was  weak,  and  I  was  horrified  that  people  were  believing  it.

     So  then  I  started  thinking  to  myself.  When  I  make  an  OC,  I  never  ask  them  if  they’re  okay  with  me  killing  their  parents,  or  putting  them  through  literal  torture,  or  anything  like  that.  Because  they  can’t  be  asked,  and  because  they  aren’t  real,  they  have  no  feelings  unless  I  say  so.  If  I  draw  a  picture  and  I  make  a  character  cry  in  it,  they  never  shed  a  real  tear.  They  don’t  bleed.  Even  if  you  draw  them  bleeding,  it’s  just  the  color  red  on  paper  or  on  a  screen.  It’s  a  puppet,  a  drawing,  a  3D  model,  whatever.

     I  was  actually  hurt.  A  real  person  picked  me  out  of  a  crowd,  so  to  speak,  fed  me  this  bullshit,  and  used  me  as  his  personal  sex  slave  for  over  a  year.  The  fact  that  too  many  people  on  the  internet  will  read  everything  I’ve  just  told  you  and  will  look  at  me  and  tell  me  that  because  I  have  no  empathy  for  a  cartoon  child,  my  abuse  means  nothing  and  I’m  doomed  to  rape  a  real  one  disgusts  me.  No  one  listens  when  I  tell  them  that  thinking  about  that  makes  me  sob.  Makes  me  want  to  peel  my  skin  off.  Makes  me  want  to  die.

     So  no.  I’m  not  going  to  stop  with  the  “ proshipper  shit ”  any  time  soon.  And  for  the  record,  every  therapist  I’ve  had  encouraged  this  mindset.  You’ve  been  blocked,  but  if  this  is  who  I  think  it  is,  you’ll  see  it  anyway.  I  hope  you  can  get  the  help  you  need  to  stop  threatening  victims,  and  I  hope  you  can  get  help  to  deal  with  what  happened  to  you  so  you  stop  taking  your  pain  out  on  other  people  in  general.

jack: storm is the school he got from the book of secrets. he never really branched out because he was in a questing group; everything else was already covered. however, once he got corrupted by shadow magic, it became his secondary.

storythief: got balance from the book of secrets, but she has branched out into life, death, and sun magic.

marcus: got ice from the book of secrets. he has secondaries in life and star, and is slowly learning light magic.

skullgarden: death wizard by choice, though they would have gotten myth from the book. secondary is shadow (corrupted like jack, but on purpose).

ryan: she does not go to ravenwood. she grew up avalon, and learned life magic there. she considers herself a life wizard. she also knows various star, sun, and light magic spells.

quinn: got fire from the book of secrets. xe has secondaries in sun and death.

- what do they think about forbidden magics? should it be taught?

jack: really awesome and cool everyone should use forbidden magic now. come on guys its fine see im alright *has forgotten all childhood memories and every time he uses shadow magic it physically hurts him

storythief: best used in moderation. believes they could be taught, but only to master wizards.

ryan: in light there will always be shadows. she understands that both must exist to achieve ‘balance’. shadow and light should be taught just as much as any other magic.

quinn: no strong opinion. all magic has its downsides and even though people dislike shadow magic, others should have the right to learn it.

jack: before corruption he really looked up to him. to be recognized by a powerful older wizard felt rewarding. now, he feels a little used and hurt, as ambrose was very quick to dismiss him and expel him from ravenwood. he thinks the council is a bunch of old people who don’t understand the shadow at all.

storythief: her bestie. he lets her get away with things she probably should not. he has been complicit in her ‘big lie’ since the beginning. indifferent to the rest of the council.

marcus: his like of the man is strained, but he still trusts him. he is more comfortable being in ambrose’s company with the rest of the council present. he is friends with greyrose and his adoptive father/mentor is diego.

skullgarden: i hope that old man dies. i hope they all die.

ryan: doesn’t really know him too well, but knew he was important in avalon at one point. she doesn’t see his importance anymore, and feels hurt on her lack of invite to the council. (like come on granpa i am literally an embodiment of light. let me in!!)

quinn: xe’s the human from earth so xe feels a little in debt to him, but kinda wishes ambrose gave him a heads up before pulling xem into the spiral. xe’s chill and friends with the council.

- what kind of wand do they have? what does it say about their fighting styles?

jack: a bow constructed out of a lightning bolt. his spells are cast by shooting a lightning arrow into the sigil. he’s a hard hitter like any other storm, but also a bit of a cheater, sometimes shooting stray arrows to get rid of opponents shields before attacking for real.

storythief: a redish-brown spear inscribed with balance runes that glow went cast. she uses the tip to draw out and cast sigils. she learned how to fight physically in mirage before she learned magic, so she can be a little aggressive. she has been known to throw her spear in combat sometimes. it’s uh, quite effective.

marcus: a dueling sword given to him by diego. he draws out and casts sigils with the tip, similar to storythief. he’s a bit pompous and dramatic, which reflects in how he casts. he does know how to actually duel, and hopes one day to meet one of those “swashbucklers” and have a real match.

skullgarden: a black and white flute wand. very low pitched. (sounds like a deep bass a flute!) they have another ‘flute’, which they have magically modified to play death whistles on. they are calm when casting, and play very slow, mystical songs in an attempt to intimidate opponents. the music is what turns into the sigil, being cast from the songs itself.

ryan: a greenish-blue trident gifted to her by the lady of the lake. after years of use, it has various cracks that glow with light magic. ryan is used to fighting magic battles without a battle circle, so she tends to be more aggressive and stern. she stabs her sigils with the three tips of her trident.

quinn: xe uses a blood moon staff. xe thinks its really cool and parades it around like a trophy. likes doing tricks with it while casting, thinks it makes xem look cooler (it does). spells/magic come out of the moon itself, forming the sigils.

 - do they trust other people right away or are they skeptical at first meeting?

jack: if you’re shadow, welcome new best friend. everyone else is on thin ice, or already on the ‘attack on sight’ list.

storythief: shes been doing this ‘questing’ stuff for years. trust now, get the betrayal out of the way, then beat them up. cycle repeats all too often.

marcus: oooh of course i trust u!! wait why is there a battle sigil outside the cave u just entered ?

skullgarden: just about the same as jack, but theyre a little more open to outsiders, especially those that might be easily swayed into joining the shadow.

ryan: unless your a forest animal or someone seeking help, get out of her sight she will hunt you. only exception is marcus because thats her blorbo from wizard city.

quinn: usually just follows what storythief says. only a few times has xey been like “erin if we trust that man several people will die and one of them might be us”

I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF VAMPIRE!SHANE. SO. HERE'S SOME PLATONIC NON-SHYAN VAMPIRE!SHANE STUFF BABYYYY

Shane got turned into a vampire at age 30-35 between the mid 1800's to early 1900's

There are a lot of Vampire!Shane aus where he's a pacifist and only drinks from animals or bloodbags but uh. Yeah. Ahem. This version is not a pacifist, he's a cocky and brutal vampire who truly loves the taste of blood and seeing his victims squirm, but he still feels remorse after the initial rush

When Ryan discovers Shane is a vampire, it's because he tried to attack him after being starved for months. Luckily, Ryan had holy water on hand left over from an investigation

Ryan gets super horrified of Shane, obviously. He views him as a scary, dangerous monster that only wants to hurt him and others

Shane is obviously DEVASTATED because his best friend just completely shut him out and kind of hates him now so he texts him nonstop trying to explain

Ryan doesn't even respond to these

So, next best thing, Shane shows up at his house

Ryan shuts the door in his face at first, but admittedly, he does miss his closest friend, so he opens the door with the chain still locked

While Shane does successfully convince Ryan that he's still Shane and doesn't want to hurt Ryan, Ryan isn't so convinced by his hesitancy to answer whether he's hurt other people

Eventually though, Ryan understands that it's survival over moral, and lets Shane in to forgive him

Eventually, the demon!Shane dynamic is up and at em, but of course, Shane is not quite a demon. Everytime their colleagues and friends would joke about Shane's alleged demonhood, they just look at eachother like 👀👀👁️👁️👁️👁️

Ryan over time tries to wean Shane off biting people and get him into bloodbags instead

Shane hates it but slowly gets into the habit of buying clean blood over hunting, just to make Ryan happy

It finally clicks for Ryan why Shane has such strange quirks like a love for Depression Era music, his odd vocabulary, and how he never seems to dress in the modern way

Shane will never hear the end of it about being a fake skeptic (because well, duh, then he'd be denying his own existence)

Ryan warms up to the existence of vampires enough to where he wants to be one, the thought of living forever isn't so bad after all

Ryan asks Shane to drink his blood (through his arm, of course. Let's keep this PG/platonic) or, in an alternate scenario, Ryan nearly dies and is bitten by Shane to save his life

They go on duel hunts together, and sometimes stick it out at home watching comedy movies to work off the urge to eat people when they can't afford to buy bloodbags

Ooh I see! I was surprised because canonically Alastor seems a lot more comfortable and close to women than he is to men, he seems to get along with them easier, as most of his closest friends consist of girls. So I saw it suitable to give that card but you shocked me LOL (no offense tho I understand u might be canon divergent)

　It's very important to remember with my Alastor in particular that he is not exactly close with ANYONE. He actually kind of hates humans, regardless of gender. He isn't really closer to women than men, he's just a mama's boy. He watched Everyone Else tear her down and bring her life to an early end and decided that she was the only person in the world who mattered, so without her, he had nothing left.

　While I beg you to NEVER stop sending these kinds of messages to him, because I adore them to pieces, just keep in mind that my Alastor is notably crueler than most you'll probably find here, and he revels in that fact. He's not always going to play along with the jokes and he's not always going to be charming when he replies.
