🐚 ⎯⎯ BEACHBUM!READER is everything DEAN WINCHESTER didn't know he needed, but somehow, she fit into his life like she was always meant to be there. she's the type of girl who could spend hours on the sand, soaking up the sun, watching the waves crash against the shore, and collecting seashells like they were little treasures. she's got a deep love for the ocean, a connection to it that runs so strong, it's almost like she's part of it. if she had her way, she'd probably be a mermaid, and DEAN? well, that's exactly what he calls her—his MERMAID BABY. it's a nickname that just stuck, and every time he says it, she can't help but beam.

her hair, once a rich dark brown, has lightened over time, kissed by the sun and saltwater. she's always out there, either swimming, sunbathing, or walking along the shoreline, and it shows. her skin has that perfect sun-kissed glow, and she's always got that laid-back, carefree energy that comes from being so connected to the beach. her shared bedroom with DEAN is full of little reminders of the ocean—trinkets, seashells, and those adorable sonny angel figures she loves to collect. he always pretends like he doesn't get it, but deep down? DEAN loves how much joy she gets from her little collections. it's just another part of her that makes her, well, beachbum!reader.

despite dean's life being full of hunting, danger, and chaos, she always finds a way to make sure he slows down and takes a breath. she's managed to convince him to go with her to the beach whenever they get the chance, and though he grumbled about the sand at first—getting in his boots, sticking to his skin—he's learned to tolerate it. more than that, he's actually started to appreciate it. maybe it's because of her. no, it's definitely because of her. she's got that kind of effect on him. bobby and sam always give him crap about how tan he's gotten lately, and he just smirks, knowing exactly who to blame. she's always reminding him to get enough vitamin d, but not without slathering him in sunscreen first, because lord knows he'll burn if she doesn't.

she's a mix of contradictions that somehow work perfectly. you'd think summer would be her favorite season, given how much she loves the sun and the sea, but NO—it's winter that steals her heart. she loves everything about it, from the cozy clothes to the chilly air, and she's constantly surprising dean with how much she looks forward to the colder months.

when she's not sunbathing or collecting seashells, you'll find her cruising around in her black mini cooper, a car that's as adorable as she is. it smells like the ocean inside—thanks to the ocean-scented air fresheners she always has—and it's decorated with little nods to her beach-bum lifestyle. DEAN, of course, finds the car a bit too small for his taste, but he can't help but love how clean and tidy she keeps it, almost like how he treats baby.

she's always dressed to impress—whether it's in her own hand-knitted mini skirts ( usually in pastel colors like soft pinks, blues, greens, purples, & yellows ) or dolled up in a cute dress and heels for a date night with dean. but she's also got that laid-back vibe, too. she's just as comfortable in baggy sweats and one of dean's hoodies, usually on a quick target run or picking up groceries. DEAN secretly loves when she steals his hoodies, though he'd never admit—not without giving her a hard time about it first. but it's all part of the charm.

when DEAN is out in the driveway, tinkering with BABY, she's usually not far behind. she'll wander out in one of her prettiest bikinis, shorts unbuttoned, towel slung over her shoulder, and her favorite pair of sunglasses perched on her nose. even if dean's covered in car oil, grime, or sweat, she doesn't care. she'll still wrap her arms around him from behind, press a quick peck to his cheek, and announce she's off for a swim. it's just what she does—effortlessly weaving herself into his life, into his routine, making everything feeling a little lighter, a little better.

she's always barefoot, her gold anklet glimmering in the sun, with perfectly pedicured toes or manicured nails that dean insists on paying for, no matter how much she protests. she likes to be independent, sure, but when DEAN flashes her that grin and presses a kiss to her pout, she can't help but give in. and when she comes back with a fresh mani 'n pedi, dean showers her with compliments, telling her how pretty the color looks on her skin.

their life together is full of little moments of love, affection, and yes, sometimes passion. they've made love on the beach, in the water, and in the shower when the mood strikes, but it's never just about the physical connection. it's about those quiet, tender moments they share, like walking hand-in-hand along the shore or swimming together for hours, talking about everything and nothing, laughing, joking, and just being them. beachbum!reader is DEAN'S mermaid baby && beach girl and wherever life takes them, she's always going to be the one who reminds dean winchester to slow down and enjoy the view.

heeseung was the handsome bartender at the cruise you met when you were all alone, sighing and watching your friends party around.. offered you a drink on the house, and even a dance when his shift had ended.. you thought you should’ve said no, but when you looked up at his pretty bambi-like face.. his honey voice chuckling at your sparkly eyes that were in awe, you couldn’t help but say yes..

after a few more drinks, he took your almost unconscious self to your room, laying you down on the bed and pulling you away when you kissed him, acting from the rush of alcohol. that night, you ended up emotionally rambling to heeseung about how your boyfriend had dumped you before the trip, your friends being there with their boyfriends while you were all alone..

heeseung listened to your words all night, held your hair back when you threw up, slept on the ground on your side, before your sleepy protests for him to sleep with you.. you immediately smiled and cuddle up to him when he came up, but then just as quickly, you fell asleep. he chuckled and admired your sleeping face, brushing your hair back and getting out from the bed.

first annoyed that your cheesy parents had signed up for surfing lessons for this holiday, your annoyance went completely away when you saw your instructor.. water droplets cascaded down his chest and abs with a little smile.. especially when he saw your big eyes staring at him.

you were a nervous wreck the whole time, gulping and shaking slightly. especially when he touched your waist and let out little chuckles by your ear at how you reddened up. “Wow.. you’re a natural~” he teased, making you giggle nervously again, not noticing how your parents had fallen off their surfboards for the nth time..

you looked forward to every lesson, jay would flirt with you, you’d blush and giggle.. he’d hold your hand, put his hands delicately on your waist and brush away your hair.. all apparently in the form of teaching. he saw your pout on the last day of your vacation and sighed, chuckling softly.. he gently grabbed your wrist and took you to some place away from your parents.

“Don’t be so upset, you were my favourite student~” he said, making you smile shyly again. “It sounds weird when you say that..” he raised his eyebrows again at your words and hummed teasingly. “Does this?” he whispered, and pressed a soft kiss to your sunburnt cheek.. making you widen your eyes and blush furiously. he ruffled your hair and chuckled, walking away.. the last time you ever saw him.

suntanning! beaches! magazines! was what you were excited for when going to the beach for a little family vacation.. what you didn’t expect was getting sprinkled with water by a couple of guys who jumped and played around like kids in the sea.. this was a beach, but you didn’t expect your magazine and hair to be soaking wet and your drink to be ruined already..

you huffed and scowled at the guys, not noticing one of them coming out of the sea. “Hey, I’m so sorry about that..” A pretty brunette came up to you, his muscles and abs glistening from the ocean water and sunlight. you raised your eyebrow and couldn’t help but check him out through your sunglasses. “Oh.. it’s no worries..” you said in a slightly annoyed tone, but with a tiny smile.

he noticed you looking him up and down, making him chuckle and roll his eyes, gazing at your little black and white two-piece as well.. “How about I make it up to you.. I’m jake, wanna get a drink or something?” You scoffed in surprise at his forwardness. “How about another cosmopolitan from the stands as well?” you teased, waving your wet magazine in your hands. he huffed but chuckled.. “Anything you’d like..”

you never got his number, you only kept that summer. coming to the beach everyday, excusing it for tanning and enjoying the sun. when really it was for the pretty boy who always had a sunshine smile. and always made sure to get you a piña colada, a new magazine and a kiss to the cheek.

park sunghoon

the snowy swiss woods were not something you were expecting for your summer vacation. after a few days of brooding in the cold, you decided to get some fresh air and take a walk outside the cabin. walking a few minutes away, you didn’t think you’d find another person here.. let alone someone so.. ethereal gliding on the ice. his jacket had on the chest pocket, ‘park sunghoon’

you didn’t even realise you were staring until he caught you.. your cheeks turned even more red, and he shyly gulped and looked away. but you looked back at him and pursed your lips. “A—are you visiting?” you softly said, making him look up again and nod slowly. “Yeah.. I—I’m competing here in two weeks..”

sunghoon knew it was weird to talk to a random girl during his stay, but with the way you were complimenting his skills so much and how you had the simple thing of speaking the same language as him, he found it sort of comforting. he didn’t even realise he had been talking to you the whole night and hadn’t been practising.

he dreaded your last day.. knowing he had to compete the day after. hoon had spent the whole trip talking to you outside your cabins, or having you cheer while he practised. “I’ll see you on tv!” you tried to comfort him, knowing he wanted you to see him perform live. he put on a smile and nodded, fighting back the pleas to make you stay. “Of course.. cheer when you see me~” hoon replied with a soft pat to your head, seeing your bright smile and listening to your soft giggle for the last time.

Forced on a cruise for the summer there’s nothing much that peaks your interest until you meet a boy who you will never forget or in which you find comfort in Sunghoon who’s there to pick you up when you fall until- he isn’t

YOU FELT LONELY.Your parents didn't want you to spend all of your time in your room, so they forced you to go play with some kids "your age," despite the fact that you're almost 19, and you're surrounded by 9-11 year olds. Should I simply jump in and swim to shore? This serves no purpose.

You sighed, resting your elbows on the edge of the boat railing, looking into the horizon and closing your eyes and listening to the whistling wind and the faint sounds of the passengers around you. Your tranquillity was invaded. When you felt a pair of frigid fingers pinch your flesh, everything came to a halt. Why is some random stranger touching me? If it's one of those obnoxious kids, I swear I'm going to push them over this railing i swe-

When you locked gazes with a tall gorgeous male, your thoughts were cut short. His fair complexion gleamed in the sunlight as he waved at you with a witty smile.

" Greetings! Milady..my name is Sunghoon," he said, raising his hand for a shake, which you slowly accepted. His chilly hands engaging with yours, causing you to shiver slightly " hi..I'm y/n " you say gently, with a faint smile. He’s so good looking..

That was the beginning of your small friendship with the boy, as well as the emergence of your newfound crush. After that day, you resolved never to stay in your room again, constantly going out to see him. Sunghoon was nothing but kind and kind to you, his acts triggering an explosion of butterflies in your stomach at every interaction; you didn't want to leave the cruise because you were frightened you wouldn't see him again.

You and Sunghoon sit side by side on the seats, your shoulders merging into one. "Do you normally come here every summer? " You nod "Yes, it's like a tradition ever since I was 11 they'd take me here for a month," you hum. "This Cruise is so big, there's so much to do, yet you seem upset about it ? Do you not enjoy your time here perhaps ? " Sunghoon says, bending his head to stare at your face. "No.. I've been going here for 8 years it isn't as exciting anymore.. plus no one my age comes here anymore so I'm alone most of the time," you groan, looking down. Sunghoon recognises the sadness in your voice and does not want to see you sad any longer so he extended his arm placing it around your shoulder giving it a small squeeze

"Well, you do have me now, don't you? Milady " With a tiny smile, you nod. " yeah, I guess so," Sunghoon humms, " wanna cause some trouble? " He speaks with a mischievous tone in his voice. Well..it's been so dull here, why not "I'll follow your lead park." Sunghoon smiles sitting up and extending his hand out. You eagerly place it in his allowing him to intertwine your fingers with one another

"So, what's the plan?" you two sneak into your parents' room while they're away having lunch in the canteen part. "Water and some buckets," he raised an eyebrow, "you want to drentch thier stuff?" Wont you get in trouble for that? Milady " You shrug I don’t really care to be honest they won’t do anything anyways “ I'll deal with the conference later" you drag Sunghoon with you to the pool to get the water.

You had miscalculated how heavy water was once you had filled yours to the brim. The weight was so heavy it almost sent you tumbling backwards but thankfully Sunghoon was there to catch you clutching your waist firmly with his spare hand so you don't fall. " y/n are you okay? You swallow anxiously as his hand remained firmly in position, his fingers caressing the material of your shorts slightly, his touch sending shivers down the rest of your body " umm..milady?" Gosh, snap out of it, he was simply trying to help you "nothing, let's go.." You disregard the concept of thought and go on your way.

A MESS you wanted to make turned out to be a mess. The bed ruined and drenched the currants adhering to the walls, your father's books floating around the room, and your mother's cosmetics spilling out and changing colours as it combined with the water. You smiled proudly at yourself.

You turn to face Sunghoon, who is already staring you, "what?" He didn't say anything and simply looked at you. Why is he just starting at me? "Do you ever wonder what it feels like to really like someone?" you look at him shocked. Why the sudden question? "I mean, no, not really, there's never been anyone I've liked well, in a romantic way that is," I like you he shrugs. "That's upsetting,"

" how so?" You ask to which he doesn’t say anything "Sunghoon your seem a bit off " he still doesn't say anything and slowly approaches you, causing you to move back and slip onto your parents soaked bed as a result of your actions earlier.. as there was still a shallow amount of water flowing on the floor.

"Do my feelings put you off, y/n?" Huh" wait what- what are you talking about " he looks closely into your eyes as if searching for something in them " i stated before it was sad that you milady..didn't like anyone because I like you " he stops before starting again " you've made my vacation here brighter.. I want to stay with you just a little bit longer" you blink wildly, unable to believe what your ears are hearing.

"you..like..me," he nods, smiling slightly, "but it's fine if you don't-" cutting him off, you pull him into a passionate kiss. Because you were too nervous to say the words out loud, you hoped your actions would speak for you.

Sunghoon nibbled on your lip right away, causing you to yelp slightly and give him complete access to swirl his tongue and intertwine it with yours. His left hand gently approaching your cheek, his thumb touching your face tenderly and delicately, as if he was afraid you would break.

You eventually draw away, glancing down at your nails. Feeling a bit shy "the feelings... mutual Sunghoon" he smiles again, drawing you close into an embrace and collapsing upon you due to the height difference. "Oh my gosh, let go, your making me wet, it's c-cold!" You yell, attempting to push him away, but he refuses to let go, hugging you even tighter, "but I wish to shower you with you milady with adoration and affection!" He teases, and you lightly slap his chest, and he pulls away slightly, his hands still on your waist, "have I ever told you how beautiful your eyes are?"

"Stop looking at me like that," he hums, "like what I'm just looking at you, can I not stare at a work of art?" you gulp slightly , not noticing the large blush that spreads across your cheeks. You hide your face in his chest, "Stop that.."

Sunghoon smiles, kissing you on the cheek and drawing you in for another hug. This time you didn't mind the coolness from his damp shirt, you were just delighted to be this close to him right now and to know he felt the same way about you.

“Think I'll miss you forever Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky”

THE NEXT DAY, you awoke in the happiest feeling you'd been in since meeting Sunghoon, but after yesterday, you were elated. Even though you were yelled at by your parents for your stunt, you didn't care. Your thoughts were preoccupied with Sunghoon.

you got ready in the mirror doing your makeup as music plays in the back form your mothers radio “Done my hair up real big, beauty queen style~” “High heels off, I'm feelin' alive~”

You sigh as you look at the small pink envelope with a heart in the middle on the counter to your left. You deliberately composed a note for Sunghoon because you wanted to communicate how you felt and how he made you feel.

After you finished , you took your note and dashed out to the section where Sunghoon and his family were staying. Knocking on the door, you wait nervously, quickly adjusting your hair in the hopes of impressing him. But, to your dismay, the door opened to show an unknown lady? Who is that, if not Sunghoon's mother or sister?.. "Um... hello, I'm looking for Park Sunghoon?" She raises her brow "I don't know who that is, you got the wrong door, sorry" before shutting the door in your face.

What the hell? Im so sure this is his door he told me 79

You decided to go to reception and ask more questions because you were really confused . "Hello sir, I have an inquiry," he says, nodding, "what is the request, milady?" "What door number do the residents of the park family stay at?" He tells you to wait and begins entering up some information before reporting back to you, "the parks left early this morning"

You thank the receptionist and walk behind the wall, leaning back against it. Is he gone? There's no way he never mentioned leaving yesterday. It was fine, we were fine. You slip down until you're sitting on the floor. You try to reason with yourself that there was no way he would go like that without at least saying goodbye or alerting you of his departure

Until it finally hits you. You have a brief recollection of Sunghoon's words to you yesterday: "you've made my vacation here brighter.."I just want to stay with you a little longer," he knew.

You clench your fists and throw your letter across the floor. You were upset because you couldn't believe he wouldn't say goodbye properly. At the very least, if he been honest with you, you would have learned to handle reality a little better. You would have stayed with him longer. How could he leave you here alone knowing how lonely it made you feel?

You knew there was a good chance you'd never see him again; you don't even know where he lived or what school he attended; he simply fled away. You wanted to comprehend him but couldn't since your sadness was quickly replaced by rage, hurt, and betrayal.

You felt used..he knew he was leaving all along, yet he decided to give you hope anyways. As much as you sincerely liked him, you honestly don't want to see him ever again because you're frightened of how easy you'd fall apart if you met his eyes.

I hope the memory of me haunts you for the rest of your life Sunghoon…

You prayed he'd never find serenity or even a speck of clarity, that the memories of you would suck him dry of any joy..so he could never be happy. He cannot forget you…. because you'll never forget him

summary ; kiri has noticed her younger sibling distancing themself from everything and finally steps up.

you were the third sully child, older then lo’ak and tuk yet younger then neteyam and kiri. of course, this made you the middle child. on top of that, you had inherited your fathers extra finger, eyebrows, and low set queue.

your brother, lo’ak, and sister, kiri, had also received these traits. however, they had gained their mothers higher queue. neteyam and tuk also had your fathers queue. this left you with the most human traits among your siblings.

being the olo’keytans child did not save you from the relentless teasing from other navi children. pureblood navi children. when you were younger the bullying was more commonly said to your face in harsh remarks.

“look! they have an extra finger!”

“that’s so weird…they’re a demon!”

the words were said with laughter, but that didn’t help you. now that you’ve grown slightly older, nearing fifteen, the navi teens hid their torment. words were spoken between shushed whispers and behind hands.

“have you seen them up close? they have hair above their eyes…”

“they kinda look like a prolemuris, right?”

whenever you’d look their way they would avert their eyes and carrying on with whatever they were doing, as if nothing had happened.

you stopped attending your healing lessons after the navi girls there had been snickering at you, much to kiris dismay.

once the warriors and hunters in training caught wind of your strange features, they too made fun of them behind your back. eventually you left training as well, which your father did not agree with but was unable to ever find you and force your bow into your hand.

you spent most of your days strolling through pandoras endless forest. the great mother was the only one who had seized to make fun of you. eywa had chosen your father. he was a blessing. that’s what you tried to convince yourself.

you weren’t only left out of your clan but your family too. neteyam was the eldest, he is the most responsible and mature. kiri has such a wonderful connection to eywa. lo’ak is the trouble maker. tuktirey is the baby of the family. so what were you? the most human like navi on pandora? that’s the life you were given if you were to return to home, so you remained in the forest. alone.

despite being alone for most of the day, you still had to go home when night fell. everyone was always so occupied, nobody had the time for you.

your father is olo’keytan, he is planning attacks on the humans. your mother is tsakarem, she must care for tuk. your brothers are going at each others heads, lo’ak wreaking havoc and neteyam fixing it. kiri…what does kiri do?

you were stuck in the loop of your normal life. wake up, maybe eat breakfast, then leave home before anyone had time to ask questions.

you were currently avoiding bow training with your father and brothers, so you cruised through pandoras forest. the flora and fauna never upset you, no matter how many times you had seen it.

you’ve always been jealous of kiris connection to the moon you lived on. she was a blessing from eywa. your father and sister had been blessed, why weren’t you?

not a day goes by where you don’t think about what it would be to be normal. to shave your eyebrows and cut off your pinkies. of course you’d thought about it before, you had messily cut the hair above your eyes when you were younger, and binded your pinky and ring finger together.

other times, you would go out in the clan with your face covered, not revealing your hands and get treated normal for once. you had gotten genuine greetings that day. the sarcastic “i see you”s weren’t the same, you had only received those because you had been with your family, the leaders. when you’re alone you go ignored.

you had tried your best to stay away from where the warriors would be training but there were some stragglers every here and there. you moved on quickly so they couldn’t see who you were. you stopped in your tracks while passing some teenager na’vi behind a tree as you heard your name being spoken.

“(y/n)? well thank eywa they aren’t here today either. i don’t know why their allowed to train. probably giving our secrets to the humans.”

the second boy laughed and added onto what his friend had said, “bro! their probably some sort of spy! do we even know if they’re actually half navi? what if they’re some dreamwalker the humans sent to watch over us..”

the boys laughed with each other and you made your exit before you could be seen. it wasn’t the first time you had been made fun of but something about this was different. you weren’t sad. you didn’t feel the need to break out into tears. you had expected all of this, how could you truly be upset?

you entered back into the forest with a solid expression. no tears, no frowns, just there. and as you sat on the grass, for once you didn’t wish to be normal. you didn’t wish to be respected. you wished to be gone.

The Voice of My Mother 🐚💨

She "passed on," but her mom "lives on."

When she was a little girl, her mom asked her to sing, but she hated it and wanted to skate. She did ballet and was famous in her city and from church and then in high school gymnastics and got D's in high school and was #1 gymnast in Indonesia.

Her mom spoke Dutch. My mom spoke 2 Indonesian languages and was exposed maybe to American TV. She got her Bachelor's in ESL or like "English as a Second Language" in British.

I found I had a lot of Norwegian Irish and some English so far and maybe my last name something else. All the Norwegians I've seen were very similar in a certain way. However, I heard a lady talk on TV about a Norwegian cruise line and I liked it. I think we were from strong people, fierce and "no messing around."
