Okay so basically. Heavenly Atlas runs a cult cause he kinda got his mind broken when a Gothitelle showed him the heat death of the universe because for some reason they do that when they feel threatened. It was trying to protect its friend, a Gardevoir. It didn't work btw, Heavenly Atlas caught them and started a cult where Fairy Pokemon as treated as gods and Psychic Pokemon are their messengers, it's a whole thing. ANYWAY he ended up running into Steven (actually it was S!3V3N but the lore for that is too long to explain, SparkNotes version is he's possessed by MissingNo). And offered to let him stay with the cult so he wouldn't have to live in the woods. He thought he was only doing it to convert him but one day he woke up and was like. Oh fuck. I really like this guy.

They kinda help each other heal? Heavenly Atlas is messed up from the whole "watching the universe die" thing and Steven has murdered people so. They're not in a great mental state. But turns out a little company is all they needed :)

They're both reactive and have some problems with self control. Steven specifically has trouble keeping MissingNo from attacking people. But they balance each other out pretty well! Steven is logical and Heavenly Atlas is emotional so they cover for the other's weak spots!
