“Yn!”

The young girls head turns immediately. “Oh it’s just you.”

Jungwon cringes, “yeah sorry.. who’d you think it was?”

She shrugs, “I’m not sure. I was hoping it was a crazed fan.”

“You wanted it to be a crazed fan? Why would you ever want that?”

Yn let’s out a laugh, and Jungwon realizes he really likes the sound “because that would mean I have a fan.”

“Oh.” It goes quiet for a moment before Jungwon speaks again “can I walk you home?”

“I don’t know, are we going to get caught by Dispatch or your adoring fans?”

He cringes, “Yeah, sorry about that. I shouldn’t have assumed you were a fan. I probably seem like the worlds biggest narcissist right now.”

“Nah, did you see the basketball team tonight? You’re behind at least half of them.”

“No I actually didn’t watch the game, I just came to pick my members up. We didn’t have a schedule and I didn’t know where they were and it was really stressful.”

Yn’s brows furrow, “you’re way too young to sound this old and worried.”

He shrugs, “I’m the leader, it’s my job.”

He can tell she wants to say more it decides against it. “If you say so.”

They walk in silence for the rest of the way to her dorm.

“Can I have your phone number?”

She looks shocked, “I thought big stars like you weren’t supposed to give that info out.”

He rolls his eyes “are you ever gonna stop?”

Yn’s grin has Jungwon’s stomach doing flips, “probably not.”

But she gives him her phone anyway, letting him write his contact and send a message to himself.

“I’d say let me know when you get home safe, but your company van has been following us the whole time so I think you’ll be okay.”

He turns around and sees the van she was talking about, and Heeseung waves from the front seat.

“Yeahhh… Uh goodnight yn.”

“Goodnight Jungwon.”

And with that she closes the door in his face. He fights the urge to text her while in the car, and waits until he’s home.

↷ ˊ- jungwon knew what he was sacrificing when he started training to be an idol, especially after being named the leader. he knew “the best years of his life” were going to be different than everyone else. instead of high school sporting events and first loves, he was going to be getting dance practices and world tours. and he was okay with it, until he met you. because you got both, and while he has no interest in sports, he’s never wished for a first love more than when you give him that blinding grin.
